The good reputation of this place is legitimate: The service, the food, the authenticity, the freshness, and the flavors. To have a better experience and be able to enjoy the food without rushing, I opted to go during the week (it is a very busy place and on weekends the wait can be very, very long). To be honest, the whole menu looks appetizing, you can go as many times as you want and try different things (and lets not talk about the pieces of bread and/or desserts, thats another delicious story). This time I enjoyed:- Ash (noodle, vegetables, bean and lent)- House Special (feta cheese, walnuts, tomato, mint, cucumber, watermelon, and boiled egg).
Great place, have had many friends from work, visiting friends try their brunch, Great place all I can say.Keep it up Yeganeh!
Ive been here twice and loved it each time. The food is pretty fresh and tasty. Ive had the nargesi and the ash and it was flavorful and a perfect compliment to their sangak(Persian flatbread). We also got some lattes there and all of them very good. Tumeric Latte was bit bitter but they have sugar cubes on hand.Definitely recommend a will be coming back.
It was pretty disappointing, we ordered the eggplant as a sandwich, the pro croissant and kadayif baklava (all to go).We didnt get the eggplant as a sandwich but as a plate, it was okay and interesting, but I wouldnt order it again. The croissants was big, but not very good.As for the baklava- I had better.
Quite different from most of the Mediterranean restaurants we’ve been to. What we ordered tasted quite authentic but we found it be pretty bland. The eggplant dip and the bread was good, but the chicken dish was average. Maybe this is how the food is supposed to taste, but we didn’t love it. The fresh fruit juices are great! Doubt we will be back.
What a cute little spot for breakfast and lunch.. loved the rose latte and the biscuits from the bakery. Highly recommended
Their coffee is one of my favorites in San Jose, definitely recommend it! The food is fresh and tasty and the seating area is really nice.
Really good food, friendly staff, good prices and they give a lot of bread for two people. You definitely leave with a full stomach and happy 😊
My friend and I drove all away from San Francisco, hoping to enjoy an amazing Sunday morning breakfast but were left extremely disappointed as the food was as BAD as the behavior of the management and staff. We ordered kala pacha, but it seemed as if theyd cooked a frozen dish multiple times and added hot water...the broth was flavorless. When I tried to explain to the management that the food did not taste right he confronted me with his rude behavior rather than apologizing. As a small business owner I would never treat a customer this way.Would not recommend this spot.
I never would thought that I would find a place to dine and enjoy my Persian food or brunch time snack well now I found it
Food ingredients tasted very fresh. The omelette and acai bowl were delicious. The staff was very friendly and welcoming
First-time visit was wonderful! Ate outside (of course): nice outdoor seating area, shady and pleasant (despite the noisy traffic on Stevens Creek). The staff were friendly and courteous, and the food was delicious, served quickly, too. Cant wait to go back.
The quality has deteriorated since Yeganeh opened her modern hipster Tehran style café years back. The once café is now over cluttered with either the shop in the front room or the equipment and projector multipurpose back room. Yeganehs friendly and welcoming smile is replaced with less friendly store manager whose screaming voice can always be heard. The fishtank which back in the days was a nice touch, bringing liveliness to the cafe seems neglected and adds to the gloominess of the ambience. One note for the staff: please add expiration date to the products; I just purchased a home made parsnip jam, only to be greeted by a moldy surprise when opening it (mia culpa for purchasing product without date).
They have a delicious sausage bandari but call in your order because it takes awhile to prepare.
Good food and selection of Persian goodies. Good price. Great Sangak bread. Best in the area.
Indoor and outdoor dining available now. Great place to eat if you want an early breakfast (open at 8am). The whole shebang I ordered arrived hot and tasty, and the lavender latte is fall of lavender and coffee aroma! A perfect combo to start a weekend morning! Come early as this place fills up quickly or a lot of people do takeouts.@scullyssociety on IG
High quality and with good price tag. Highly recommended
I love this place! The Spanish Latte is my go-to coffee drink; I’ll usually also do a Zaban or Khafan sandwich. The atmosphere is wonderful - you’ll often see a lot of families coming in to enjoy a morning meal. I do miss the pictures of all of the actors from Iran though. :( I thought that was a neat touch.Highly recommend this place. When I move back to San Jose, I’ll be visiting more often! Motshakeram!
Good food. Great bread. You can do your grocery as well. Prices are reasonable. Service can be faster.
Probably one of the best omelettes I have ever had. The place is really clean, charming and aesthetically calming, and the food was fantastic. Lots of food for what you’re ordering and the price isn’t too bad for just how great the experience was. I really need to come back some time because I was so incredibly happy last time I was here. Can’t recommend enough.
Everythings so fresh and authentic! Amazing Persian brunch experience. Grocery store is nice too.
My family live in San Jose and we visited them there. So we buying every day fresh SANGAK and coffee from them. Taste was really good and the last day we tried tongue sandwich and Ash reshteh. They were amazing. The manager was very polite and kind. The staff also too. I liked interior design. We wrote memorabilia on the wall in the restaurant.I strongly recommend that place to everybody.
So disappointed… I came here after the good reviews, but the raspberry pie tasted like a cheap Walmart pie. It felt like a waist of time and money.
The best customer service⭐️ And delicious food
Three whole shebang omelette was great. Good coffee as well and a nice food market with middle eastern food.
Ordered a cappuccino and a sandwich. The cappuccino was spot on with strong coffee and nice foam. The sandwich was the Sossis Tanoori with the sangak wrap. The sangak was delicious. Their sausage in the sandwich were good quality, however there were very few mushrooms which was disappointing. The outside dining patio was very nice. Loved all the succulents on the patio! Friendly staff.
It is the most excellent coffee shop in town. Furthermore, their coffee is reasonably priced. They now run a beautiful, straightforward business that provides excellent service! It is without a doubt a must-try!
Fresh walnuts sweet watermelon feta cheese flatbread Persian tea cucumbers perfect dish for breakfast and afternoon they even have a small market with all the good things mascarpone, basil seed drink name it if its good. Takes me back to the breakfast I used to have in Tehran.
A hidden gem, but entirely in plain sight; hidden, because from the outside, I didn’t expect the place to look this cute (see photos). The two lattes I got (Spanish and rose; with a friend!) were delicious. The Spanish is a condensed milk latte, which gives it a light sweetness (perfect for my tastes), and the rose latte is a perfect blend of rose and coffee, though is completely unsweetened unless you ask for it (unlike other rose lattes I’ve had). Guess that means they’re using actual/homemade rose concentrate, not Torani/Da Vinci/Monin Rose Syrups :) Quiet place, with a lot more space than expected. Will be back for the food!
Great treats. Clean space and kind faces. Do visit.
This is the place for authentic and delicious Persian/Middle Eastern breakfast and lunch. The Persian Plate (pictured below) is AH-mazing! We usually get the spinach feta omelet, too. The cafe serves coffee drinks, fresh fruit juices, and my fav - French Press coffee. They also have baked goodies.Family-friendly spot with lots of seating indoors, but this place is packed on the weekends. There are also options for outdoor seating for smaller groups. You order first, and find a table in your own. They bring your food to you.
I’m new to the area and was walking along the street hoping to find a place to wait while getting my car fixed. What serendipity! This place had a beautiful dining-in patio (hard to find during Covid) where I waited most happily. I ordered the veggie omelette and it was delicious! It had just the right combination of egg and veggies. It was light but filling at the same time and a perfect portion! The accompanying bread was served nice and warm and my Americano was just the right temperature. Very reasonable pricing too. Last but not least, lovely and friendly staff! YAY! 😁
Discovered this place by accident. My fiance and I were supposed to go to Fireside Caffe next door coz Google said it was open. Turns out its still under construction. So we saw Yeganeh Bakery & Kafe Unik and it looked interesting so we went in. Ambiance was nice and cozy with character. They have interesting food options and I will definitely go back to try more of them. I had the beef sausage omelette and orange mocha. Both were surprisingly good. My fiance had a spinach and feta omellete that was also tasty. They serve special bread with the omelettes and that was marvelous. It was tasty and light and the edges wefe crisp. I would probably even go back even just for the bread. It was that good.
Good ambient. Not good selection of food overall.Staff were in hurry all the time!
Yeganeh bakery is really good. Its a Persian bakery but they have other European inspired pastries as well. Their Sangak bread is amazing. We come here and buy it in spades when were in San Jose.Other things I love here: sholeh zard (rice pudding), orange latte, lavender latte, zabon (slightly sweet and delicate layered pastry), noon berengi (rice flour cookie). My husband, who is Persian, gets the kallehpawcheh (head/leg of lamb) and he says its one of the best hes ever had. I barely eat chicken and fish so theres no way Ill go near it--but if its your thing--try it!
It is really important to have a Farsi speaker to take the orders in a Persian place. Omid is very professional, fun guy who knows all the detail of the food offered. Love this place, their food and the amazing service 🙏🏻
Lovely store and restaurant selling Persian groceries and cuisine! They have fresh sweets and desserts, different Iranian brand of spices, dry food and fresh Sangak( persain bread).
Arrived 45 minutes before closing and was told they stopped serving cappuccino because the had cleaned the machine.
Lovely place for breakfast and lunch. Had their popular spinach omelette and ordered a fresh squeezed juice. The omelette hit the spot for me. It came with a very good portion of their signature flat bread, I think its nan-e barbari. Over the course of my meal I saw people kept coming in to buy those bread so you know its good! The juice tasted good but Id have liked it more if were colder. Overall a very good atmosphere to enjoy a casual meal. Very friendly server (owner?). I will come back to try other items on the menu!
Nice place, sitting out on the street wasnt great.Overall coffee was good.
Great little cafe and well supplied store
Phenomenal ambience and helpful staff. Thanks, Yeganeh!!!
This review is based on customer service I received by the manager. I had an issue with a small order of 5 pieces of baklava, which Ive had many times here before and always really enjoyed. Purchased only hours before a special family dinner, I was disappointed because the baklava was old and soggy, the dough had no crispness. Which is fine, the product can not be perfect every time...When I messaged the manager to share my experience, he did not offer a solution. Consumers deserve better than this, and I do not plan to return.
Not sure why people are claiming this is authentic Persian… it really isnt. Substandard and overpriced.
This place is warm, cozy and unique as the name suggests, I really loved the aquarium, the staff and the owner was very kind and helpful. I guess this place must be known for its omlettes and all. However the hype sorrounding its special persian dish was just false. It wasnt bad but not good either, it was not complete, no way near complete. But the price was Okay. 4.4 star deserved for that. However, I am not giving a 3 star review for the food but for how it was served. The bowl had a long crack which is just unsanitary for a restaurant. And the other dish was broken as well. A bowl that is used for soup and stuff is not supposed to have cracks. Older stuff tend to build up in the cracks and its just aint professional and sanitary. Just throw them away already.
This place is truly a hidden gem. The food is delicious and the coffee drinks are amazing. Its lovely to sit out on the patio when the sun shining as its an oasis on Stevens Creek Blvd. The chicken sandwiches are mouth-wateringly yummy! I highly recommend this place for a to-go cappuccino or a full sit down meal (as Covid restrictions lift).
I traveled 40 min to get the famous Persian Sangak bread. Well, it was fresh but the quality is not right. The bread is hardly chewable. Something is not right with the recipe. The taste is off too.
Awful taste, awful service. I ordered Kale Pache but the taste was Abgoosht. Way too expensive for awful food and awful taste, but they don’t provide quality. Don’t recommend at all! Attached see the bill we had two kale pache and one adasi and three hot teas. Another problem was they ask you to tip before getting the service.
I enjoyed my outing here. The manager was friendly. A great place to be
Food was alright, not sure Id visit again for the main courses but the baklava was fantastic. Id absolutely visit again just to parcel about 100 of those and deal with the issues of consuming 100 of those. Easily the best baklava Ive had. Great staff in store.
Amazing place with ample and diverse menu full of delicious and healthy plates. My favorites today: acai bowl with sweetness surprisinglyperfectly balancedand Nargesi : three perfectly fried eggs over spinach with avocado and tomato, I think is turmeric and maybe something else, but textures and flavours explode in your mouth and just make you and your tummy happy!!
I cant believe it took me so long to try this cafe. Casual, comfortable cafe meant for slow afternoons with friends. The menu is a mix of egg dishes, breakfast bowls, and sandwiches unlike anything youll find in the Bay Area. Familiar enough to have you drooling when you walk in the door, and delicious enough to keep you wanting to come back and back again. The tumeric latte is a must have, as are the itty bitty cookies they keep by the counter. The spinach and poached eggs is simple and flavorful and healthy. This is a must visit place for an afternoon or brunch treat.
My fav cafe, am planning to try all their menu. just had their beef tongue sandwich with flat bread.... i am lost for words. also their juices are worth the price as they are fresh as can be, and taste AMAZING. really good, healthy food here.
I particularly like their Lavendar Latte. Very friendly staff and manager. Will visit you again soon
Really nice bakery and a lot of Middle East stuff to eat
Very cozy and friendly environment with delicious food
I had heard about this bakery and when I visited I was not disappointed! Great service and really delicious pies. The pastry was flakely and light and it was full of hearty mince. I had a valvet and it was divine. I highly recommend this as a place to visit when in Yeganeh!
Very nice place. Good food
Talk about walking into Alice in Wonderland, employees are weird and just not right all up their. They seem to have a few missing crayons, wink, wink
Delicious Kadif (also known as Kannafeh) and amazing customer service! Thank you so very much!
Yummy Persian Sandwiches..Fast Service..The Sangag Bread is very good when is lightly toasted. It should be kept in freezer. The Persian Cookies are just OK and not that delicate.
