Sierra Lumber and Fence have completed two projects for me: installed a tall fence with an upper lattice around the garden and designed and installed garden steps with a small deck. The fencing is standard but was completed perfectly, on time and at reasonable cost. The garden steps are a small miracle. Their estimator Ederik came out to take measurements and produced a rough but promising design for free. The two workers who built the steps were impressive -- very experienced and highly competent. They built the six foot drop steps and deck according to plan with incredible precision in two days of non-stop effort. The amazing thing is that the stairs are not just functional -- they look delightful and add to the garden (rather than being merely functional). The cost was also very reasonable. Just great work all round.

Their only available appointment to get a quote was three weeks out. With two weeks still go to, a conflict required me to see if we could make the appointment a bit earlier in the same day. When I asked if they could look at the potential to change, they refused and said my only option was to wait an entire extra month for a new appointment. This is all just to get a quote, let alone have the fence installed. If someone is that disinterested in my business, there is no reason to give it to them.

Company web site needs updated! This company only does fence installs they do not sell fencing materials. Hopefully, this saves folks a phone call.

Customer service is great! They know what theyre talking about and know exactly how to help you. For the quality of lumber the price is great!

Their prices are so low to install a fence that we cannot even buy the materials for that price. They always do a great job and do it when they say they are supposed to. We use them for all of our fences and have not used anybody else for years. Why would we, they do a great job for a great price.

Randy provided great service. Prompt in responding and speedy execution of our long fence. Even made sure that the cost was split with the neighbor on separate invoices. These guys have their own lumber so the per linear foot price was better than everyone else we considered.

Weve used Sierra Lumber years ago and they did great job on our fence. We contacted them again to have our fence fix on our rental. It started out good, we made a appt, although, they couldnt come that week, but we were okay with that. The appt was 2 weeks out, and the day of appt, the estimator was a NO SHOW. No phone call, no email to confirm. I called while waiting in the car, the receptionist put me hold for awhile. I called back, the guy was out doing other work, I left a message. The manager calls back apologizing, something about a mix up on the calendar, whatever... So, the guy I spoke too, calls back apologizing, and said, he can meet the following Monday or that week. He left a message, I called back.... and NO phone call back! Horrible customer service! We went with other company.

Called two days head to make sure they had what I needed. Called one day ahead for a quote we definitely have it. Show up, never had it. Buy the rest of the order anyway, they try to load up less than what I paid for. Not coming back.

Use them only if you have to - they know they have a monopoly so the rates are much higher. Takes them time to get back to you.
