Giving 1 star because of this very obnoxious individual at the scales that presented himself as Paul the supervisor. Such people need to learn some very basic customer service before they are ever allowed to face customers, let alone supervise others. Poor. Very poor.
Came to this place to discard some construction materials. Drywall, old tiles. It was very easy to find the place. You pay at the entrance, drive down the road and dump. Easy and convenient
Was able to dispose my old couch here with ease. I docked 1 star only because it was $33 bucks for just 1 couch which is kinda pricey. I would come here again though since its local to me.
Excellent, large facility. Easy to locate. The main office was very friendly and helpful
Great dump especially when youre required to recycle people complain about the price Ive been the dumps all over the Bay Area and for recycling theyre extremely reasonable easy access friendly service
I hate this place: their website is filled with chest thumping about how green they are, but they have little to no helpful information for SJ citizens trying to use the recycling facility. Do I have to go on the scale just to drop off electronics? clean cardboard? Which site do you go to drop different things off? Oh it’s not a material on the main page? read the PDF where you find that corrugated cardboard is accepted! (but we don’t tell you which site.) Never mind: i’m sure they have clearly marked signs ? nope!ok i’ll just go find someone to ask. Is there an office where you can ask questions? no. you can wait in line to get on to the scale to see someone (even though you just want dispose of a small battery)can you ever reach anybody on the phone since they seem to think the best use of their website is for marketing rather than customer service? no.somehow the dump that services sunnyvale, mountain view, and palo alto are convenient, helpful and actually open till 5 (even on Sunday). They have a simple, clearly marked area to receive such things. With Signs! And a website with an FAQ that actually answers real questions from actual customers!
Customer’s not wearing masks when getting close to employees and are not asked to use a mask. Also the workers checking receipts are not wearing masks even when they get really close to you. This place is acting like we’re not in a pandemic anymore.
Not bad for the bay area.
Whatever you need to dump Zanker recycling will take
Awesome staff. Reasonable pricing. Easy to navigate through. 5/5.
Wow! VERY VERY EXPENSIVE!!! For normal trash (at site 2) like three trash cans of stuff cost me $87? No wonder you see so much trash dumped illegally throughout San Jose. Other than that. Site 2 employees were professionals and helpful.
At the scale house, they are very profesional and nice, spotters and loader operators are very good people and very good at their job !!
👍
Used Site 2.
Pricing very inconsistent and to expensive compared to others.
Employees always polite and courteous.
The employees charge more than are supposed to be, I took 1 load they charged 2 yards And the second load 2.5 when it was the same, it was concrete how can take 2.5 yards in short bed pick up and the concrete is very heavy
Nice people, price would have been good, but they dont take food waste! So I had to take it to another facility that charged me more than double. Make sure you know for sure what they take!
I did not like the attitude of the people on the scale, they are rude and arrogant, very bad !!!!!!!!! from site 2
Do-it-yourself dumping of materials made easy. We came here to dump our old deck staircase along with other miscellaneous items we could around the house. We were surprised an almost half-full Uhaul cargo van full of wood pieces only cost $30 dollars, whereas other places would charge you a small fortune.
Convenient location, very friendly personnel. Not cheap.
Last year, I found from this online there were just a few kinds of ugly stone for base. But this year I realized a lot kinds were there. When I went there to buy small on Sat pm,they said they sell from one cubic yard and directed me to a nearby rockery.Above all, I like the fact that all products are from recycled material. Also they are cheap for the quality. Next chance, Ill buy more than one cubic yard ofrock or tan bark there.
Facility is good - but for lite load its pricey
Great that its open 7 days a week. Just a bit pricey.
Couldnt find a nicer place or nicer people I always look forward to it Zenker landfill is like going to the bar cheers for me people complain about the prices but their recycling every piece of garbage trying to save the planet so quit your bitching
Good service
I want to throw way one of the big stuff(it s wood). how can in do it? please share with me......
Fast easy dumping.
It is a company where they charge a lot for littering and demolition, I do not know why their owners should see the prices of their competition
Nothing from the other world you arrive, throw the garbage and you
Congratulations to the company for responsibility and caring for the well-being of citizens
