Unimpressive customer service and welding. Took equipment to them @ 9am with the understanding it would be completed by lunch. After not hearing anything I called at 2:00 pm to which I was told it would be another two hours. This was accurate, but it looks like this garbage was welded together in about 20 minutes, could have done an equivalent job with a coat hanger and car batteries. Given it was getting close to the end of my shift I left and found this abomination this morning upon inspection once returning to work.

I called multiple places and they all referred me to American Muffler. Walked up and realized the guy is the dad of my dog’s BFF at the dog park. Small world. Great guys, great shop, super quick service, and nice of them to squeeze me in (without knowing we had a connection) when so many shops are just opening again and are backed up a week or more. The price was less than expected, which is always nice with car stuff. Really just a great experience with them.

I brought in my truck that had an annoying rattle due to a cracked exhaust bracket. They were able to weld it while I waited for a very reasonable cost. The rattle is gone, and I dont have to be embarrassed to drive my truck around town anymore!

Reminds me of an era gone by where a diamond in the rough, old fashion type father and son business used to be instead of in this time of mass production, hurry up, take a number and wait times of the present day. I was a little worried going to this place originally, due to not being a brand name service center, but was met with prompt, trustworthy service, and very honest pricing. Everyone was very friendly, and took my car in even though I didnt have an appointment. I could not believe how little I paid, and they never tried to sell me any other repairs that I didnt really need, besides what I came in for.

I had my car towed here and Mike and his staff took care of my car in no time. They welded up my exhaust and hung my muffler back up within a day. Also gave me a fair price! I Highly recommend and I will be going back if I need any more muffler work done. Thank you again Mike.

This little shop had the one part I absolutely needed for my trailer lights to connect to my brake lights for a VW Tiguan. Neither of the dealerships in town had it, but they did. If it weren’t for this awesome selection and such helpful customer service I would have had to delay my move. They’re the best!

I trust this place to do excellent work at an affordable and reasonable price. They installed a brake controller for me and did a very neat job with hiding wires behind dash, mounting the 7 pin in a place where ruts and rocks wont snag it (off road) and is nice and snug and out of the way... Ive been doing business with American muffler for years. These guys are great. They do exhaust work, welding, fabrication, trailers, trailer hitch installs, and even fix screens... On your windows and doors not your phone. Im sure Im forgetting something but if you need anything welded or trying to get your trailer rolling give these guys a call.

I called up the shop on a Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. I told them I needed a hitch to be installed on a Subaru for a trailer I am picking up at 1:00 pm. They told me to bring the car in and they will get it done. Then I told them I wouldnt be there for an hour and a half. Again, they told me to bring it and they will do what they can but I was pushing it on the time! I got the car to them at 10:00 a.m. and it was done by 1:30 p.m. I couldnt have been happier with the outcome and the service they provided. I highly recommend this company for your muffler/trailer needs.

On July 1st I was rear-ended while on my way out of town after attending a workshop at Calpoly. My drive home takes about 16 hours, so the lost time was definitely a concern. A nearby shop determined my exhaust pipe cracked and sent me over to Mike at American Muffler. Two hours later it was fixed and I was on my way home! Mike and his staff even made sure to fill my tires with air and glance over everything else to make sure I was set for my road trip. He also made sure to have the card and information on file from the person who rear-ended me (who fortunately was very cooperative) and I didnt have to worry about any further details--Mike told me to head on out and hed take care of it from there. With the holiday weekend I was initially concerned I wouldnt be able to get my car fixed in time and that Id be stuck until after 4th of July; additionally there werent rooms available anywhere in town. Mike a and his staffs assistance really made a difference and allowed me to arrive home safely, close to schedule. THANK YOU!!!
