Store has a good selection of merchandise for fair prices. Today the cashier that checked me out was super friendly and cheerful. That makes such a difference in my shopping experience. I like the Target concept of a one stop shopping store. I love that I can get my groceries while picking up some cleaning items and sporting goods. Super cool!

The cashier I had was absolutely wonderful! He asked me who I was buying all the gift cards for and when I told him that I was the Director of a nonprofit, he thanked me and explained that he was concerned since I was an older person purchasing many cards and he was aware of scam artists that prey on people asking them to purchase gift cards. I was delighted that he was looking out for your customers.

Targets curbside pickup experience is wonderful. I was in the middle of a project and was able to get what I needed without having to clean up. Saved me a lot of time.

Clean, not too crowded and convenient. They didn’t have everything in stock such as water and some price tags were missing so I didn’t know how to compare prices. Like that everyone was wearing a mask and they have self checkout.

For a big box store, as good as it gets. Actually had a stock clerk come up and ask if I was finding everything OK. Prices not as cheap as some others, but clean and organized. Quick checkout.

Alright, I love Target just as much as the next girl. Id even call it an enthusiastic dependency. However, the state this particular Target is consistently in is despicable. To say shelves are poorly stocked would be a devastating understatement. Often, a product will be out of stock for weeks on end leaving the shelf empty with no option even to order through the app or website. Shelves and aisles are a complete disaster with product all over the place as if no one ever attends to them or makes even the smallest effort to clean up and reorder anything. This makes shopping here excruciating. I hold Target to a higher standard but Ive legit seen thrift shops with neater, better stocked shelves than this pitiful Target. SLO is a nice city. We live in a nice location. However, this particular Target is an anomaly and an insult to the corporate chain. Luckily at least, we have Amazon Prime.

Had an amazing cashier named Brian that was nice as could be. Found us a coupon on laundry soap that he went out of his way to apply!! NOT ONLY THAT but Brian asked if we checked out a local trail head up Irish Hills which, as it turns out, is PRETTY AF.

This is officially the worst Target in the 805 area! The staff keep allowing non-service dogs in, who then growled at other guests and staff did NOTHING. The displays are usually messy too.

Areas of the store looked trashed and they had just opened an hour earlier. Absolutly every table in the Starbucks was dirty. Was there for over an hour and no cleaning was done. Several flies flying around tables landing on food, not pleasant.

This Target is Always busy and today was no exception. When we got in line it was very long but the young man who was directing traffic did an excellent job, moving that line to keep us all social distanced. We were checked out on less than 5 minutes.

The store was clean and quiet. I only saw one employee without a face mask, and 90% of shoppers were also wearing a face mask. An employee wiped down carts and had them ready for shoppers to grab and go. Most of what was on my list was well stocked; there was only a couple of things I was unable to get. Overall I was exceptionally pleased and I will definitely shop here again.

I ordered a product that was in stock in San Luis Obispo January 4th. I dont like to always shop from Amazon even though they fulfill their promises. It needed to travel 25 miles south to Santa Maria. They said 3 days. 10 days later it is coming (hopefully) from Oregon. Target cannot compete with Amazon if they cant do a badic transaction.

Staff was very helpful, but buyers dont listen to staff. There was not one womens deodorant unscented in the store! They had Native scented deodorant at a higher price than online or as discussed in Parade 1/26/2020.

Dont bother with wasting your money here. They will not do any returns for any reason. Was told to bring item back in after the 16th. We did got told sorry we cant help you. Honor your product. Its not like other reputable businesses that are excluding returns on items that some people maybe be hoarding. Things can be broken, defective are just lemons. Yous get to be an essential business and therefore stay open and make tons of money while others cant.

The employee at the register was so sweet and helpful. He helped me at the customer service counter and at checkout. He saw me with my fussy infant in a carrier and asked if I ever picked up my complimentary gift for registering baby at target. Then as I was waiting in line to purchase my items he came over to a new register to check me out faster so I could attend to my fussy child sooner. Thank you so much!

Needs better variety. Today I only found 2 of 5 items leaving me to go to different store/s to finish shopping. I find this happening more often than not these days, so I may choose to shop elsewhere first in the future. Sorry.

I used to buy most of my groceries here simply because they had more affordable prices for their store brand and organic store brand foods, but stopped because the shelves are usually bare of product and I would usually end up not having half the things that I need. As somebody who used to work here, I know that that it can be challenging to stock shelves while constantly being called up for back up at the registers so management should do something about either having more cashiers or more people on the floor to stock shelves. Not to mention there’s new people every time I come in here and very few people that I know from when I used to work here. I still love Target and always end up buying more than I originally intended on, but just keep your shelves stocked.

Quick and easy ordering online and store pickup. Called ahead and they were waiting when we got there. Pickup took about a minute max!

Nice, clean store. Friendly people. I would probably shop there more if it were closer primarily for the grocery options as they seem to have some good deals. The red color scheme is hard on my eyes though and I cant stay long. The whole restroom/changing room policy thing awhile back was a big turn off too.

They spend a lot of work routing people but still don’t enforce mask rule. Two people not wearing mask at all and couple more not wearing correctly.

Do not come here during college move in week. It is very crowded and messy. Otherwise this target is great. They have plenty of essentials but pack quality produce in the grocery department. The aisles are wide so its easy to navigate the store. Good work team target

Matter of perception, I think the atmosphere seriously sucks. Centrally located, in a high traffic area, nothing is going to change. Part of this is the Culture in general. 20 years as a Target shelf stocker? You have got to be kidding me? Because of its convenient location I spend a steady decent amount of money in the place, this phone came from there. In back is the recycling bin, all the dumpster divers congregate, live in the bushes nearby. What is the deal with what appears to be intentionally obstructing people? I have had it happen several times, one of their employees no less, get the hell out of my face. Certain groups attempt to commandeer the Starbucks as theyre personal lounge, Im not your guest! Makes the case for online shopping.

Pretty good Target all around! Had to make a return though from an online order and the product was not in their system and took awhile. The furniture item arrive broken so online orders need better packaging so orders arrive safely. Better to shop in store at target. Love all the home decor section its the best.

Wow! Can a store be any more ridiculous blocking off aisles and putting arrows on the floor. This place is just awful.

It seems as though recent changes to Target have affected targets nationwide. Before these changes, shelves seemed stocked and behind the scenes operations were in fact behind the scenes. Now it looks like every day target is undergoing a plano change or a re-stock. Its extremely upsetting to be blocked in by an unattended u-boat full of product or having to navigate down an aisle that needs a little TLC because all the product was left of the floor by previous guests. Target stores in general feel like North Korea where the front of the store is visually appealing but the aisles that we frequent or need are scarce and at times completely non-existent.

This store gets 5 stars because of the abundance of electric car charging spots in the parking lot, the cleanliness inside, and the helpful staff. Checkout lines are never long, the restrooms are clean, and theres a Starbucks if you need a pick-me-up. I would like to see more organic food selections in the grocery section.Edit: theyve recently added self-checkout units! Makes quick trips even quicker if youre just stopping in to get a few things.

I recently purchased two $25 Facebook Gaming Cards and the store put a three hour hold on my purchase; as a result Facebook refused to honor my gift card, when I returned to Target to see about getting my cards activated they exchanged the cards but still insisted that a three hour hold was necessary. This is unacceptable! As a result, I have lost $50.

As Target stores go, this is a very nice one. However, Target has a policy of hiring very odd disaffected people covered with tattoos and big metal disks in their ears. Recently I saw a half half-man half woman with lipstick and crazy hair working in the front at the check stand. Target also has there bathrooms open for men and women depending on how you feel that day you can use any bathroom you like. I feel that companies like Target are encouraging our society to devolve.

I found everything i was looking for and they were on sale.

Clean, nice selection. Ive had many great experiences with the staff here. They are very friendly and helpful. The only annoyance is that the womens active wear section is not well stocked with smalls or mediums. Every time I see something I like it is available in XL or XS.

Target always has great products and everyday items that I need. Employees are always very nice and helpful. Ordering online and picking up in store was fast and easy!

Weve had our fair share if not very helpful customer service here. But today we were helped by Chase. He was very kind and helped us quickly and found exactly what we were looking for. Even joked with us a little which is always nice to see an employee actually reassemble a human. We were Funko Pop hunting for our personal collection and really appreciate him saying he will only allow one per person for the exclusives. Target doesnt handle these releases well but at least one employee is doing his best to make it better!

It just seems easier to shop at Target. The prices are decent and they always seem to have what I need. Some of the people that shop there are interesting (no offense to anyone as I guess they may think the same of me ;).

I mean what woman doesnt like target? This one is nice, but sometimes you go in and looks like a tornado hit the show and clothes departments. Otherwise though its nice, usually clean, and open. The electronics staff is cool.

A newer, large and spacious Target. Watch out for college kids that forget theyre off campus. They always seem to have the best deal on the giant Iams dog food we used to buy. Its located right across from Costco so we can get all of our bulk items then head conveniently over to Target to check off the things on our grocery list that we dont need in multiples of 24.

Very good selection of many items. One doesnt have to wait for a sale. The Starbucks is great!

Had to seek out 3 associates to find an item, one person didnt actually work for Target (vendor?), The next guy put this head down when he saw me coming then suggested I try using the target app to find something, the last person at least indicated the item was on a clearance shelf (but not sure where). Not a single person offered to help me. Days of can I help you find something?, Targets mantra, are no more. The cashier never made eye contact with me and never asked if I was able to find what I was looking for. Just terrible customer service all around, I was very disappointed.

San Luis Obispo Target store is a midsize Target. As of July the store is open and allowing in-store shopping, with masks, but it is not as well stocked as normally. Otherwise its another Target store you get what you expect

Better selection of clothes and shoes than the Santa Maria location. Staff is really nice, clean store, clean bathrooms. The housewares department is excellent.

Surprisingly nice helpful staff, not what I am used to from a Target store.The usual Target quality & prices.A large enough grocery department to stock a college students kitchen, including pretty decent fresh produce.Beer prices are high, but Bevmo is right across the street, as is Costco.

The toy I purchased was half the price of a major online only store & $10 less than a local superstore. On most holiday gifts Target had the best or the same prices, none that were higher & I checked EVERYWHERE!!

If you sign up for a credit (red) card while in line, the employees at the register are trained to lie to you about the terms of the card if you ask clarifying questions. The card required my permission for telemarketers to call me unsolicited. When I asked the employee at the register what that meant she said oh, dont worry, they wont call you. I have since been bombarded by telemarketing calls, even after I discontinued my red card. The employees get a commission if they get you to sign up so they are lying to you for personal gain.

The Target Tech guy was beyond incompetent. What should have taken 20 minutes wound up taking over an hour. Not only did he expect us to sign the Verizon user agreement without viewing it, but he would never confirm our plan or the total monthly price. Ill be shocked if we ever get our $300 bill credit. When we logged into Verizons portal we discovered that he had even signed us up for the wrong plan. What a nightmare to fix it. Dont get me started on this guys lack of customer service skills. One good thing about the temporary staff being gone, they cant steal anything anymore Thats not a professional thing to say, out of the blue, to a customer.

Been going since the day it opened & we have no complaints-great helpful people from management to cashiers & enjoy their selections of articles & but it is a big store & not being able to walk much- they r the ONLY store to have enuff riding chairs for their guests!! Other store should follow this store-its always clean.

Ease of getting the items

I shop Target every Tuesday for groceries. I like the store brands, prices and cartwheel. However, I am becoming increasingly dissatisfied due to empty shelfs, particularly for items I routinely buy. I am buying more and more at Trader Joe’s because I cannot count on the items being in stock at Target. Furthermore, my shopping experience is soured when I cannot get the item(s) I came in for.

Purchased an item online that showed only 1 in the store. They pulled the item, messaged me it was ready within an hour. I picked it up the same morning. Start to finish, under 2 hours. (20 minutes drive time each way.)

Newer target, has a great big parking lot. Electric vehicle charging station parking. This store is clean and well staffed best times to go for me have been two hours before closing, definitely not as busy as during the day.

Its located nearby, and it carries products I can only get there. Until I visited this store, I never realized they had a convenient grocery story with many choices I prefer in food and wine.

I love Target, my only issue is sometimes the lack of inventory...difficulty in finding sizes for my 10 year old daughter and out of stock in the health and beauty items. I noticed today, less options in hair care etc.

I cant give Target more than 3 stars because they are always out of stock on so many items. Also, I would prefer better quality womens clothing and shoes, preferably made in the USA or fair trade certified.

For a target its pretty nice. I would rather support the locals, but sometimes they just have what you need. Its run well and clean. Pricey sometimes though.
