Great place, but the owner or whomever that was who stopped me needs to find a better way to enforce their no-bags policy.I purchased a large figurine in-box, payed, and had the cashier bag it for me. He did say anything about me walking around with the bag so I continued looking around the shop, older gentlemen walks by and says theres a no bag policy and reaches for my bag saying Oh, let me hold onto that for you.. I of course pull the bag away and politely deny his offer, he visibly gets upset and reaches again for my bag and says his policy again. I told him if thats the case Id rather leave.Moral of the story; Find a better way to enforce your policy.

This was an awesome experience. The staff was helpful and polite. My son could spend all day sorting thru all their games. I really recommed stopping by there is something for everyone. I was so busy that I forgot to take pictures.

Comics, Albums, CDs, record players, record player repair, board games, Manga, pokémon cards, Magic cards, dungeons & dragons (and other similar games), music accessories, speakers (new & used) new and used video game cartridges, consoles, and video game accessories. And Im sure there are several things I missed.I love bringing my family and friends here when they are visiting from out of town. We almost always end up staying there for 30 minutes up to an hour and a half. What an amazing store if you are into music, gaming, board games, or comics.

Great store I love going here are finding all my collectibles that are hard to get but what I recently found out is when you Google search them and hit their webpage and it loads you can’t search anything it just shows their logo and what they offer and then the book website you can purchase any books through online or anything through the website but a joke

Ive been to Captain Nemo Games & Comics several times over the last few years, and Ive never had a bad experience there. The physical space of the store is used up to the max, with shelves covered in board games and miniatures, racks of DVDs, and bookshelves/stands filled to the brim with comics. While this does make the space feel a bit cramped at times, I dont think it detracts much as a whole, and the plethora of merchandise spread across many different kinds of media is actually a big plus for me.What really makes Nemo work for me is the people. The place feels like a passion project run by people who care about the items theyre selling. Theyre geeks, in the best way: they know what theyre talking about when it comes to the franchises theyre selling, and it really shows. Each person Ive talked to there was knowledgeable and very helpful, and Ive come to expect to be treated well when I go there.

The guy behind the counter needs to stop judging people when they walk in and asking for their bagged belongings. He does not have good customer service, is rude, and did not even bother to welcome us in or thank us for visiting as we left.

Have been coming here for years. Prices are on the higher end, but they generally have cool and odd ball things that you cant find anywhere else.

Place is awesome. Lots to look through. So much inventory to look at you can get lost in thought and memories. Its always very uncomfortably warm upstairs so beware. Comics are usually over packed and super tight, makes it hard to flip through the boxes. All new stock is easily accessible for you to look at. They also mark up their comic book variants covers regardless if they have no value greater than cover. You can find them in boxes near front along with some silver age comics which are also conveniently located on same table near front. Overall luv this place. So much to look at and buy. From statues and action figures to movies and posters and lots of comic supplies. Comic book bags and boards and short and long boxes with and without print as well! Even an oversized Mjölnir hammer!

HOLY Cow, does this place have comics and table games. New and current comics are plentiful and there wasnt many titles missed. Outstanding selection! The archived copies...woof! They have a ton and Im sure there is a lot to discover, but the curation needs some help. The young lady that helped me was awesome and she did her darndest to help find some titles, but that back issue needs some love. Help is great. Very friendly and great service, just plan to spend some time digging if you want back issues. I will be back and hope to be able to dig through those stacks in the future.

Amazing options for board games, if you have been sorely missing the chance to just browse games in a great format this is the store for you. They have stuff i have difficulty even finding online. As well as options you can only find on ebay. Staff are always nice and I hope the continue to do well during this crisis.They also have a selection of comics as well as a massive song library that extends to a second floor.

A nice place to get a good book of all genres or even just to sit down and and study! If youre thirsty the Starbucks on the second floor can help! Staff can always help and a kid section if your little ones want some time to have fun with puppets or let their imagination run wild!

Just recently went and bought anthem it was a sealed game or so I thought even if it was in an outer hard plastic case when I got home to use the redemption code for the legion of dawn edition it said the code was redeemed even tho I can take pictures of my downloads

This place didnt really suit my interests but isnt a bad store or anything. Their selection of relevant console games is pretty small and their tabletop RPGs section was just okay for me. However, if youre in the market for obsolete tech like CDs, cassette tapes, books on tape, VHS, records, etc. then youll love this place. The selection of these items is pretty big.

I went in inquiring about a promotion for free comic book day, being that this should be the largest comic book shop in the area I wanted to see about getting something that was being released. Well I could get it pre-ordered online but it said to head down to your local shop, they can get it for you... Yeah right. This place is a joke, I also called Dr. caines the same day (Monday) and have yet to hear back so in a time where small business need customers, they sure dont want want to help them...

Cool place for pokemon cards

Nice staff that tries to help, but is usually segmented into separate specialties. I find myself asking the music guy about comics and the comic guy about video games. A store with this many things going on at once is bound to have this kind of overlap, but it is the only thing keeping them from 5-stars in my world. Otherwise, everyone has always been accommodating and let me know when the person who could answer my questions will be by.

The service was good, pretty decent selection, ample parking for the area and pricing was good as well. :)

My girlfriend and I decided to visit this place while we were visiting from Dallas. As soon as we walked in the man behind the counter informed us that my girlfriends backpack needed to stay behind the counter while we were touring the location. I can understand why from a business side if you are worried about theft but as a costumer I made us feel like we were being profiled before we even stepped inside. selection of retro games was good but I came for magic and was very dissatisfied with the selection. No singles, and only a few sealed product. Overall there is a great selection for music, movies and video games but personally it didnt offer what I was looking for.

This place was HUGE! They had tons of stuff everywhere! I literally had to drag my gamer husband out of there because he was wanting to apply for a job so he could be there daily but we live 3hrs away lol. They have way more things than just comics or games. Well worth stopping in and checking it out 😁

They couldnt find my boyfriends prepaid order then refused to refund him the money, saying he never picked it up; he called once a week about the order they lost.

Its a very fun store with a ton of old and new comics. Dude working the counter was very helpful. I recently got back into comics this year (2018) having stopped back in 1997 and the employee really helped me get my bearings. Ive read other reviews about the workers are condescending to customers and personally I experienced the exact opposite. Spent $100 on comics and will do so again soon. Very cool place.

Holy heck this place has everything. Huge games selection, tons of DVDs, massive comics selection and its attached to a music store. Its heaven in a rectangular box. It even has free parking parking. Ive felt less reverance entering churches. Worship at the temple of Captain Nemo with me.

This place is amazing. New and used Video Games, a huge board game selection, plus miniatures and fantasy games. On top of that, this place has a respectable collection of new and used music, vinyl, and cds.Oh yeah, the floor is littered with used audio gear. Great place to find a sound system for your dorm room, etc.

My brother took us here while visiting SLO for a wedding. This store blew me away! Its huge and they have everything from comics and board games to vinyl records and and amps. Made some great movie and game purchases and found out they have a game room next door. It was locked but the staff gladly opened it for us to use for as long as we wanted. Am excited to visit again.

I went there for the war gaming and they had a great selection. I loved that they had some models marked down and had a great selection of used Warhammer fantasy and 40k figures for very cheap. Definitely worth the stop.

Their trade in program is...Youll get better deals on current Gen games at gamestop... Anything else you can trade in youll get way more at a pawnshop. If a pawnshop wont take it youd feel less violated giving it to a second hand store.Beyond that their prices on board games and a lot of other items is outlandish.They may not give you anything for a trade in but theyll want top dollar for it.Their comic book prices are fair, but I wouldnt recommend supporting this place for comics either as theres a better place a couple blocks down the road.
