I liked the place even though it isnt my style. Its quiet, they have a nice pool, and a great food in the steakhouse. Rooms are nice. We rented one of the round rooms so Im not sure hows the other rooms. They have fitness center and a spa. Ideal for a weekend break.
Super fun destination to stay at, visit, eat and shop at. There is a small exhibition hall, hidden swimming pool at the top of the hill, bake shop, restaurants, and little garden area. Call to plan a horse ride! The buildings shine like beacons in the night and during the day no one can ignore the huge spread of land that encompasses this outstanding hotel with spectacular specialty-themed rooms.
I enjoy bringing my mom here to eat in the cafe when she is in town. She loves all the loveliness of it. The food is good and service was good. I have stayed in a couple of their rooms and they are fun! Everyone of them is different. The pool is small, but very nice! This is a fun place for a couple looking for something different.
This place has been a bucket list item for my whole life. I finally stayed here and the dream is sort of crushed. While it was fun to access the pool and be allowed in the room areas, it is disheartening to see the level of disrepair of the building. The beautiful floral carpet is worn down but maybe it cant be replaced? The bar had wonderful carved wood arches with sections that seem to have been replaced with wood that was just drawn on with marker. The lovely chairs in the dining room are also well worn and not sturdy. The food was really expensive, but it did taste good and the servers were wonderful. The room we got was smaller than the picture made it look. While the carpet there felt new and plush and the bathroom was newly renovated, the wallpaper was peeling and the door jams are chipped. You can barely read the names of the rooms on the front of the doors. The beds dont have fitted sheets, they use a flat sheet so on the king bed you get a section at the foot that isnt covered by a sheet. The TV was tiny and there was no streaming option. I just think the rooms are very overpriced for what they are but it was nice to do, once.
Its clean, adventurous and nice! Each room is unique and fun. The restaurant has nice and authentic traditional breakfast. The pool and spa area gives a holiday vibes and refreshing. A little downside would be the furniture in room is somewhat older... will definitely stay again
Fun place full of interesting decor. Weve stopped a few times for dessert on our way home from the beach the pink champagne cake is a must! This week we booked a night for my wifes birthday because she just loves it here. We ate in the dining room it was such a treat and they make a big deal of special occasions. Our server was amazing she was super friendly and the food was excellent. The rooms are so uniquely decorated it was fun picking which one was best for us. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds Ive ever slept in and the view from the room was AMAZING!However that being said the walls are paper thin. Either that or our neighbors were extraordinarily loud. We heard almost every conversation. If youre reading this and youre the lady whos electric toothbrush turned itself on during your travel and killed the battery. Im sure its not quite the catastrophe you thought it was at 7am when I was woken up to the sounds of you telling your family about it.Minus the loud neighbors this was a perfect trip and well be back with ear plugs next time!
The place is absolutely gorgeous. The designers did not miss an inch in the fully detailed architectural work of art. Every space is intricately detailed with fine materials, many of which were crafted on site from the minerals and ores harvested from the very hills on which the hotel is placed. It is a truly marvelous and spectacular attraction that couldnt be missed when touring the southern California coastline. The only complaint I have is with the rude and uninviting customer service that some, not all, but some improve on to merit a higher rating. Other than that we had a fabulous visit.
This is my version of Disneyland. It’s eccentric and fun and comfortable and beautiful. We’ve made it a family goal to stay in every room. So far we’ve visited the central coast 6 times and have stayed in 7 different rooms. Each is unique. The pool, the hike, and everything pink is fabulous!
Interesting place to visit. The carved woodwork throughout the interior is truly masterful. This is a venue certainly for special occasions, or a nice splurge. It reminds me of a Las Vegas casino in the 60s without the casinos.
Madonna Inn is a special place, with lots of history and lots of character. The decor is better reviewed by somebody. Suffice to say, its impressive. I would definitely suggest trying out the main Steak House restaurant in the hotel. Our family went to the Copper Cafe for a weekday lunch, which was unfortunately pretty disappointing in the food and the atmosphere department. I cannot recommend it, except as admission to see the rest of the hotel. In that regard, I suppose it was OK.
Breakfast was delicious. Service was exceptional. Shops were fun and bakery was out of this world. Cake was perfect treat to take home for desert. Rooms are one of a kind. UniqueWould recommend!!!!Kirk
This was my 6th time that I’ve stayed here. I love to stay in a different themed room each time. Some rooms have refrigerators in them which is helpful. I enjoy my morning walks in the secret garden area and sipping on a cocktail at the pool/sauna in the afternoons. The bartenders at the Silver Bar Cocktail Lounge located in the main building are awesome and friendly! It’s such a pleasure to be surrounded by such beautiful decor while eating at the Gold Rush Steakhouse and Copper Cafe. The waitresses in the cafe are always friendly and helpful checking quite often to make sure we are doing well. Their bakery has the most delicious cakes for dessert too!
Truly a unique and amazing experience. Hands down the best hotel Ive ever stayed at maybe my company had a little to do with that. Theres no comparison to the company nor to the hotel and the icing on the cake literally for me was that they make my favorite cake pink champagne cake and I dont think Ive seen anybody carry it outside of the bakery I grew up getting my cakes from in Bakersfield
Always a 5 star visit. T he Madonna Inn is a classic roadside must see to stay, shop, or eat. Much history to see here. Give yourself plenty of time to look at all the intriguing wood work. Visit the downstairs restrooms. For the guys theres a waterfall urinal wall. The steakhouse is always crowded and decked out in pink. The other diner has additional food plus an amazing assortment of deserts. The champagne cake is our favorite.
Unique hotel with themed rooms, very well maintained. All the restaurants offered amazing food and drinks.
Stay there if you get the chance, its wonderful! There is a heated pool that feels amazing with a lovely view. Highly recommend staying 2 nights to enjoy it all. The Copper Steakhouse was delicious. Big portions.
It was an interesting place! We ate in the Copper Cafe and it was tasty!!!! I would have given it 5 stars if not for them being out of carrot cake. The lady in the bakery apologized and mentioned how popular it is... well, then bake accordingly!
This Inn is so well taken care of with little touches you will rarely see in modern hotels. The staff was friendly, the food was great and the Pink Champagne Cake is a must. If you are a vanilla kind of person who is gonna whine cuz you dont have a mini fridge or microwave, then this place isnt for you. If you appreciate a unique, vintage vibe, then have fun. Each room is different and the wood carvings and stain glass through out the property is fun to look at. The gardens are well maintained and everything was in full bloom this summer. The beds were also very comfortable. I would highly recommend
I am rating this on behalf of my dad’s experience:He went in and waited to be seated. The host was behind him and didn’t attend to him until he turned to face her. He was standing there for several minutes before hand. He got seated by her. Two people came to his table done poured him water without asking. The second person asked him if he wanted coffee and that is all he wanted while waiting on the waitress/waiter. Other couples came in and they were served and no one came back to serve him or ask him for his order, he waited 30 minutes for someone to come. He was there alone. He walked out and paid the hostess for the cup of coffee. The hostess asked him for his ticket and said he was never served a ticket nor did anyone come take his order. The sad part is my dad is in his 60s and he is one the best tippers I know, he is always leaving 20% to 25% tips, so they messed up not serving him. Maybe they over looked him because he is a bigger person and he wasn’t their with anyone, but that is no excuse to treat and elderly person with disregard.
Visited the inn for a friends wedding. Beautiful location, amazing design details and very friendly staff. Def hope to visit again in the future!
If you dont check this place out, you are doing yourself a grave injustice! This is an iconic experience that you will cherish for years. Even if you dont stay the night, stop by and check the place out. Its one-of-a-kind! (We stayed in Room 160.....top of the world, huge room, epic night!)
Stayed here during a wedding, and I can easily see why so many folks seek this place out. Gorgeous mountain views, temperature controlled pool, 2 hot tubs, a live band in the steakhouse, kitschy beautiful rooms w/ balconies, horseback riding...loved the plush carpet in my room. Great service from staff.
Took my handicap daughter. There is NO elevator to the upstairs (gift shop). So its not handicap accessible as stated on the website. The pool is up a steep hill, tough to push a wheelchair up the hill. So we drove up. There are about 6 parking spots (which were all taken) so we couldnt swim. What a disappointment!
Kitschy is the word of the day here! This is unlike any place you’ve ever stayed. Everything in our room was unique to just our room. Everything was comfortable and the service was amazing! The only negative thing was our room didn’t have a refrigerator.
We stumbled upon the Madonna Inn by chance while on a road trip and had no idea what a unique place we had come across. It was hard to decide which room to select because they all seem so great; we are looking forward to another trip just to stay in a different one! Everything about the Inn is exciting, from the beautiful pool to the delicious foods and beautifully decorated shops. It really is like being in a different world while you are there! We had multiple meals while we were there, so I can definitely say, be sure to try as much of the food as you can. Leave time to explore, theres so much to see just walking around the property.
Absolutely stunning! Stayed in the barrel of fun room. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back
1st time here for my boyfriend and I. The food was great. The staff was incredible. We loved our server Sharon J. She took great care of us. It was a spur of the moment visit so next time we will plan to stay at the hotel as well.
OVERPRICED!- I paid around $400 for a room. The garden was dying, with droopy dry flowers and a green pond. The restaurant wasn’t lit up when we got there and it smelled like roadside diner with a burnt grease on a grill smell. The pool was not like in the pictures, it was much smaller there was also a lot of people in there too. The bar was a tiny hut. The room itself was smaller than in the pictures +the view wasn’t nice (the pictures have a certain angle that makes it look better than it is). For the price, I was expecting to have as much fun as I had in Disneyland but that wasn’t the case. Not worth it and cancelled the reservation after walking around and picking up the vibes. luckily the front attendant was very sweet and we got our refund. Not mad at the hotel but it really didn’t live up to the standard it’s price sets. Id say go with a nice Hilton hotel.
This inn is a very large older building. Its got a nostalgic flair of the fifties or sixties? But buildings architect is amazing. The very large 8-ft carved wooden doors. The ranch is hundreds of acres. Very well groomed. I think back to when it was in fun swing and I bet it was the place to be. Not that isnt today because it was hopping when I stopped by. They were preparing for a wedding the day I went by. I bet it turned out very beautiful. Its a site to see.
It’s an interesting and quirky place to stay for one night. Each room has a unique theme and the rooms are clean and nice. The exterior is also good for pictures, and there are multicolored lights that light up the entire resort once it turns dark. However, the most that it offers is a pool and a bar and a few restaurants that all serve the same menu. For a $30 resort fee, you get to enjoy an “infinity pool” (which just has lowered walls and you can’t see the view from the pool), a tiny waterfall, a tiny patch of grass, and a mini garden with a little rectangle with water that they call a pond.
Super fun rooms, all themed differently. Everyone was so friendly, and welcoming. Definitely worth at least 1 stay.
This place is iconic, yo definitely need to spend the night here. The pool has an amazing size. And there are activities for all the family. Is a very peculiar decorations. Easy to park and the weather is really nice.
First time visiting this place and all I can say its wonderful. The creative mind that went into each room being different and having its own story is amazing and very well done. The pool and gym are good nothing too fancy but good they do have 2 jacuzzi so thats great. The location where this is at is beautiful surrounded by nature and all. Okay lets talk food they do have a restaurant of their own the food is good but unfortunately the pricing is a bit too high. We paid over $200 worth of food for 4 people which again it depends on the person and if this is no problem then you should be good. Is it worth it? Yes definitely worth it
This place is iconic. If you are dreaming of a whimsical getaway, the Madonna Inn is pure magic. Our room (Cloud Nine) was beautiful, feminine, luxurious, vintage, and unique. The bidet was an unexpected five star feature. The grounds are gorgeous, the property immaculate and unique, the food delicious, the drinks on-point, and the pool perfect.. but the staff are beyond words. We were so well taken care of by each person we encountered, we felt like we were leaving home, when we checked out.Get your new favorite cocktail from Luis, Dylan, or Daniel, who will feel like old friends, have an unforgettable dinner in Mindys section in the steakhouse-- absolutely get the champagne cake for dessert, and go for a trail ride to enjoy the happy, well cared for horses, best views, and opportunity to spend an hour with McKenna and Katie.Every single aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations (which were years-long-dream-level). Give yourself enough time to enjoy every aspect that the Madonna Inn has to offer. This place is beyond what you imagine.
We reserved for the trail rides on Saturday morning and it was great. The trail ride workers were wonderful and super nice. The ride was awesome and you have a great view when on top of the hills. Id recommend it! The Madonna cake was delicious and just looking through their restaurant and shopping at their gift store was great! Well hopefully eat at the Cooper Cafe on our next visit.
Such a wonderful and interesting place to see and experience in SLO. Whether you are a local or just passing through, the Madonna Inn is definitely worth the stop and worth staying at. All the different themed rooms give it a storybook type feel. Alex Madonna certainly spared no expense when building this wonderful place. You are sure to find what you are looking for in their two fantastic restaurants and a bar. The Madonna Inn has stood the test of time and continues to amaze every time you visit.
The pictures on the site do this place no justice. Every time I look at the website I think it looks almost a little rundown but Ive been there twice this year for mothers Day and a birthday party. And I was impressed by both rooms that we got. There was a lot of room and experience was nice at the pool always a fun time with my friends and family
Madonna Inn was our venue for our sons wedding. Beautiful location, amazing staff, staff went out of there way to take care of our needs. Excellent food. Cant say enough.
It was good. Went to tesla take over, stayed night there, ate at the overpriced restaurant and had dinner at overpriced cafe. Rooms were fun, very cool design. Not much for views. Why only 2 stars? All that for people just walking by and peeking into rooms, non stop.. disgusting. Didnt feel comfortable with two kids. Wanted to talk to one of them but they quickly disappear. Management needs better covers for windows, maybe full tint, because current curtains make room too dark. Also lights, dimming lights but non of the bulbs were designed for that so they all flicker like crazy. Very uncomfortable.
Madonna inn has great ambience. The prices arent too bad we are compatible. The food was delicious.
This is the most exquisite place with the most delicious pastries and cakes. Good thing I dont live nearby or my weight would be an issue... seriously. The attendants are so courteous and charming!
This place is a classic. Ive been a local for 45 years and this place continues to please. From their unique and fun rooms, to the traditional Champagne Birthday cake at their amazing restaurant. If one of your favorite colors is pink, then youll be in heaven
For over 35 years we rarely make a trip down Hwy 101 without stopping at the Madonna Inn. Weve eaten many meals here both casual in the coffee shop and large parties in the upscale restaurant, all memorable. On 3 occasions weve stayed in their unique and varied theme rooms which are a treat. And of course the bathrooms downstairs from the bar are an experience you wont forget soon.Even more reason to plan a stop there since they have a fair size Tesla Supercharger station near the entrance.
Superb casual dining with breakfast, sandwiches, delicious salads, and pastries, cakes and pies. Average lunchtime entree around $18. Most plates could easily be split. Try the beautiful fruit plate!
The staff was absolutely horrendous the fireplace in the room did not work which is one of the reasons we purchased the room. There are no elevators for handicap people to get into rooms. When I asked for a 30 minute late check out due to the fact that I was getting a massage in there spa I was told that they would lock my room and keep my stuff if I was not out by that time
Place is super quirky and fun. Comfortable rooms. Would have liked more storage but we managed.
This here is one weird place probably need to see it to appreciate. I stayed rite here since the doors were big enough to get my wife through em. We also found this here Indian artifact in the parking lot pretty sweet
Hello everyone. This is a great place to grab some breakfast, lunch, or dinner. There is a lounge area with a bar, and a mens bathroom with a waterfall for a urinal. There is plenty if parking out side. There are plenty of charging stations for Telsa owners. If you have a sweet tooth, There are plenty of treats to choose from at the bakery. I recommend the champagne cake, but you must get there early if you want the whole cake, they do run out fast. Thank you everyone for reading my review. Please follow me on Google maps and check out the places I visit.
Amazing! So happy with my stay! Got this hotel for a wonderful price at ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ I love this resort and Im so grateful I stayed here for much less than what I generally spend. The most amazing whimsical hotel weve ever stayed in!! We loved it so much!! Beautiful inside and out. Theres 110 rooms and every single one is different. The food is delicious and the cakes are the best Ive ever tasted! Everyone at the hotel is super friendly and so wonderful to all guests. I can’t wait to come back!! Truly a place to experience!! 🥰
Different. The main dining room Reminded me of Vegas in the 50s... Nostalgic! The bakery was nothing unique..very basic. The shops did not appeal to me.. The displays were blah..no creativity. The grounds needed upkeep. Thankfully, the blossoms were beautiful.
Based on the cakes we had. Black Forest and lemon cake . Stopped by to check out desserts. Noticed unique layout of the dining. I liked it. Anyway, the portions were enough for 2 hungry people. The chocolate cake was okay and lacked the bling of flavors, but well intentioned. The kids liked the lemon cake. They ate it all, darn those kids. We still had a huge chocolate cake left over. Should have had the champagne cake. As always post wherever your palate takes you. Sorry, no pics of the cakes.
Enchanting place to stay and dineVery Decadent desserts.Very Unique.Highly recommend.
Wonderful restaurant! AMAZING homemade bleu cheese dressing and delicious ribeye steak. Black Forest cake was perfect!
Stop whatever you are doing and just go here. If youre reading this its probably because you just passed by the Madonna inn and youre in San Luis Obispo and you cant find anywhere else to eat. The reason is there is nowhere else to eat and honestly this place is awesome. People are so nice and the food is so home style satisfying and the decorations are just great. Do yourself a favor go park your car at the supercharger if you have a Tesla walk into the restaurant and just go eat youll love it.
This was an amazing venue for my daughters wedding.
If there is ONE place to stop by on your drive along HWY 101 this is it!Check out the architecture, interior design, restaurants and yes even the bathrooms are something unique! And to top it off the food is great and not just a tourist trap! Enjoy!!
If it havent been here you got to stop by. This is a quaint and decadent piece of Californias history. The restaurant is above average the hotel grounds are beautiful the ballroom is a tea party on mushrooms
Pink pink pink everywhere. Lives up to its booking as a quirky hotel for sure. There are gift shop both upstairs and downstairs to get your pink gear. Also some goblets that are supposedly custom made for the inn.
EXCELLENT CAKES!!! Great Place to Stop by on your way passing through and view the scenery. A lot to see. Weve stopped by here several times. And it still hasnt gotten old.
Waiter was good, the greeters didnt pay attention an we waited about 5 minutes before we were acknowledged. Then they were going to seat people behind us ahead of us. The food was good an so were the cake slices.
Really nice stay with family. Super interesting place, from each room to the entire place.. A few things were just less than %100 but all in all a great time.
Over the top but I loved it. Delicious steak for dinner. Fun times at the pool
Delicious / Famous Cake Stop. I never knew this place was worth visiting besides their unique rental rooms. I’ve lived in the Bay Area for 3 years and always passed by this place but never stopped for a look, thankfully my adventurous Spouse took me for this experience, I’m thankful and grateful for this experience.
Great. Be warned though: they do have stamps if you want to mail a letter, just not post stamps. Bring your own if you want those. 10/10 in everything else though. Great fun atmosphere and a stunning garden.
The rooms decor is cool, no complaints here and thats probably why you are looking at this place. But if you are like me and need a comfortable bed, maybe stay elsewhere. The mattress has probably not been changed since the time the place was built. A screechy old spring mattress. I slept better at a Travelodge as well as in a tent during this trip, no exaggeration. Also, I recommend that you bring your own shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. They have the first three but the quality is what youd expect from a 3 star hotel.
Really fun. Everything where you need it. Wonderful spot for a getaway.
This was literally the best urinal I have ever used. Kind of felt like I was going in the shower but it was so cool!!!!!!
My wife booked this as a birthday surprise for me, on the way home from visiting LA. I want to stay here every time we drive to LA, now. This place is completely bonkers, in the best possible way. We stayed in the Old Mill Room, with a working water wheel, and Cuckoo Clock animatronics, green glitter walls, just AWESOME. Don your bathrobe from your room, grab a beer from the bar, or bring your own (cans only) and head to the killer pool area (though, disappointingly normal, compared to the rest of the place), with heated beach-sloped pool (great for little ones) and two well-heated hot tubs. The dining room is a completely over the top pink-splosion. Cant speak to the food (except the signature Pink Champagne Cake, which you have to try, and is delicious), we ventured out for meals. Pretty good wine deals in the gift shop, though. Staff were great and friendly. Grab some postcards of the rooms you want to stay in, next!
Fantastic... Needs new carpeting and they could wipe out their gift shops and just clean the slate and start over and increase their revenues from sales of merch by 2000% easily.
Went here for dinner; FABULOUS as always. The filet mignon is the BEST on the central coast. The atmosphere is always wonderful, and parking is usually a breeze. The band was good to listen to as background music, as always. LOVE it here.
Had a pretty nice experience. Ate in the cafe was fortunate to get one of the booths tucked into the wall. Much quieter; gets really loud in there. The Tri Tip under the lite menu is awesome. Looks more like primerib and even tasted a bit like it.
Magical place! Stayed in The Highway Room incredible with huge rock fireplace and shower!! Restaurants are all incredible with excellent staffing and food is perfect. The Champagne Cake is a Must! Light and not too sweet.
I read other reviews beforehand that stated you go for the experience and not the necessarily the service, and I can attest that that is true. The rooms are so fun as is the atmosphere, and the pool is incredible! We also forgot our wine cork and they provided us with another free of charge, and were friendly in their service that night. Unfortunately I ran into a bit of an issue when I forgot an item in the room, and when I called to inquire about it, the service was severely lacking. The employee I spoke with stated that he did not see my item in their list of items in lost and found, and provided me no other avenues in order to find my item such as actually physically looking for the item himself or any other course of action I could take. He simply went silent on the line and then insinuated I hadn’t actually left the item in the room. I was also discouraged from speaking to a manager when I asked to, and was told “a manager would tell me the same thing.” I had to call back to ask if he would simply look for the item himself in the lost and found (which is in a room right next to the front desk) and, surprise, when he did it was found! No apology was offered. Also, if you are vegan plan on ordering food elsewhere because there are no vegan options at all at the restaurant. Overall I would definitely recommend staying here because it’s a fun, one of a kind experience, but don’t leave anything behind in your room! Triple check!
Fantastic customer service and delicious products.
Very kind front desk staff. We stayed at the daisy Mae room which was basically entirely made out of rock. Very cool room. One minor issue is that the door was very thin so the hallway was quite loud but the rooms actual walls were made out of rock so not much noise from those hahahah. Food is pricey but that makes sense given the location right next to the highway.
Wacky-est design 10/10Like a biopic of a small town persons idea of what excess and luxury looks like in the 60sGreat to walk around when traveling down to LA
Forget Disneyland, this is the most magical place on earth!! It was beyond a dream come true, magical, utter romance. Simply blown away by its beauty, glamour, creativity, fantasy, whimsy. Theres truly sometimes for everyone here! Literally ;) No one room is the same ♥️ Photoshoot galore, weddings, getaways, girls trip, fam trip, anything! Will definitely be back!!! Thank you Madonna Inn!! Love you♥️
Everyone should experience the Madonna Inn in their lifetime. It is one of the most unique hotels that I have ever stayed at. The food is also amazing. I cant wait to return.
Its a tourist TRAP, dont do it! Was recommended by a friends friend that you have to stay here at least once in your life. NO YOU DONT. Also disappointed about the cake. I expected more but over hyped. Just go get some donuts at SloDoCo donuts
Couldnt wait to check this place out after being told its definitely worth the trip. We flew from NY and stopped at the Cafe to have lunch. Yes, decor was in its sublime gawdy glory which was to be expected and very appreciated (updates in the decor are definitely needed) but it was overpriced for subpar food. $22 for medium shrimp cocktail where the shrimp was cut in half to look like there was more. I had my 11 yo at the table and asked the waitress to please wear a mask because she was not distanced from us at all. She replaced herself with another waitress who didnt wear a mask either but at least kept her distance. CA has the highest numbers in the nation and youre in the service industry- wear a mask. Had I known then what I knew now, I wouldnt have gone through the trouble. B- decor, D food (except A- for desserts), C for service.
Madonna Inn is a motel in San Luis Obispo, California. It is world renowned for its 110 uniquely themed guest rooms and hot pink décor. It has a famous bakery where decadent cakes are known for their elaborate appearance and amazing taste. There is a day spa and a large beach-entry pool perched on a hillside terrace, all under the glow of the Californian sun. Brilliant Concept!
Always fun. Love the decor. Good comfort food. Good service.
Cool rooms. Large Heated pool. Walking trail to shops.
Well, how could I say anything better than all the other reviews...just stop by and enjoy your Meal and all the decora...youll be glad you stopped.
Cowboy-fairy Mashup of grand proportions. Lovely venue with several great restaurants, a bar, and of course themed rooms (Cave man, cowboy, Luau, many others). Kitschy gift shop, amazing bakery items - but come early, they sell out.
Very expensive motel. Not worth the price. Pool area is nice, rooms are not in great shape.
We love the Madonna the food was delicious and the entertainment is always so nice. We had the steak and lobster
The Madonna Inn is a unique and compelling piece of roadside Americana that I love to visit every time I pass near San Luis Obispo. The property was the vision of Alex and Phyllis Madonna, and the staff do an amazing job of preserving that vision. With that said, almost nothing has changed in the past 20 years I’ve been stopping by, and with the exception of the Tesla Superchargers if you’re seeking more modern amenities you’re in the wrong place! Enjoy it on the level it asks and you’ll have a great time.
Havent yet had the pleasure of the Cave room guest room experience I hear so much about. Maybe next time .Themed guest rooms, fabulous dining and the property is just gorgeous ❤
