I had a terrible experience. I ordered crab and request to have them clean, well the man told me No, hes not going to clean them, then turned to his coworkers and they said no clean. Ive been going there since 2004, always gotten the crab clean. Tried to charge me $75.00 for 3 crabs. I refused it and got in line with two TBone Steaks. A long wait, store crowded. No customer service. High prices. Terrible Experience. I do not want to go back, not at all.
This supermarket is more an oriental supermarket compared with the likes of Safeway, Lucky or Foodmaxx. It’s geared more towards Asian community. The store is medium size but it carries most of what you need for your daily routines. It has departments you would expect to find in an oriental market like live seafood, fresh meats, packaged meats, dairy and staples such as rice, etc. It also offers free fish frying service. The price is mostly on par with other stores if not slightly more. You need to inspect expiry date of items you buy because sometimes their items expire and they still put it on the shelves. It’s best to go in the morning when it’s not too busy. Overall its 3.5 stars experience. Please Like it if you find this review helpful or useful.
I like to shop here cause they have a good service, good prices and is good place to get everything you need for a barbecue.
Parking lot is always crazy but today I was able to get in and out with no problems. My daughters love this instant soup that they sale so I go there at least once a month. Today no cars were holding up traffic and when I came out no car was blocking me. So today was a good day. Lol
Well, I am a frequent shopper in your store nearly 5 years from now.All I can say in your store through my experiences to all your crews are well hospitable, polite,& above all well trained. Thanks a lot!
Since Im an Asian I buy some food products in this market and they are moderate in quality but expensive like the price range of some organic stores. Today I had a bad experience with their store manager and clerk. The store manager who at first I didnt recognize because she mopped the floor wet and blocked me from falling in line. Since I had to make myself safe I moved out from the very slippery floor not realizing I was already close to the other lady by the counter. The clerk on the counter shoved me out telling me to keep 6 feet distance which I could not because there were two people mopping the floor and its very slippery. We are older citizens and we should be careful not to break our bones. When I asked for the product from the clerk on the counter to pay it on another counter with a dry floor, the lady and the store manager didnt want to hand the product to me because they said I have to pay it on their counter where the floor was wet. When I confronted them they sounded like I owe them an apology for their unethical conduct in the workplace. OSHA must take a look at stores that put their customers at risk!!
Cool you dont have stores like this in indiana
U buy raw fish & they fried it for u🤗 Good price also.
This grocery store is dishonest. They sell expired products & rotten meats. They charge for different (higher) prices than the prices are shown on the shelves. Karma will come back to them.
No nonsense community supermarket with diverse staff speaking many languages and great produce
Used to live in Cupertino, SJ area for a while and theres quite a few asian markets down there competing, so the groceries and deals offers are great. Now in this area the ranch 99 seems like the only choice so I trying to find another option. Then I found this one....I am totally disappointedThe products price are higher then 99, the produce are way more expensive, not only that the Veggies are not fresh, wilted... They even charged higher price... Give me a breakLast time here
Has a certain smell. Staff not that attentive or friendly. Guys at the fresh fish section where very helpful and friendly. But the cashiers seemed to want you to hurry up and get out.
Great selection and prices for an asian market. Also has a freezer section with vegan mock meats.
I go here for the seafood section. Really nice selection and they will fry your fish for you!
I like all the different types of food they have.
Lots of Asian products fresh fish they even fry it for you
I love this place, you can find food that arent in regular stores; and if youre from another country, chances are you will be able to connect with your food traditions.
My to go place it has everything I need. Just hope the fish guys in the back know how to follow instructions in cutting the fish. Very poor cutting skills. 🤦♂️🤦♀️
Very helpful. Owner is on site and makes sure everyone is working and helping customer
They sell almost the same stuff as 99 Ranch and closer to where I live.
Its a knockoff of the 99 Ranch Market located in Richmond. The San Pablo Supermarket serves the Asian residents of the El Cerrito/San Pablo corridor.Since theyre the only Asian store in the area, their prices are slightly higher when compared to 99 Ranch Market.Their Chinese name Soon Fat has stores in Southern California.Although they use the same name 順發, their inventory is not the same.I went home to LA and I purchased some coffee from Soon Fat in Monterey Park.Folks in San Francisco asked me to get more, but unfortunately, the SP Supermarket did not carry it.It was somewhat of a disappointment as they use the same Asian name Soon Fat and theyre not the same.I gave it a courtesy 3 stars as having an Asian market in the area is better than none.
I love this supermarket. They have the best produce section and every Asian food product you can imagine!
This market has a variety of sea food choices and ingredients. The cashiers there are really fast and always many registers open.
The owners are beautiful beings with great customer service for all! I bought a rubber tree along with my crab this time and she took the time out to give me tips to keep it alive and beautiful.
Great place to shop
Lines move slow, interesting to see inside grocery store they have jewelry store inside
Great place to find good asian food and other great stuff
Great seafood selection. This just might be my new favorite market.Fresh clams, mussels, crab, fish and more.
Great place to buy fish.
A nice variety of Asian food products. The produce section has the main staples. However, no individual garlic bulbs. The customer service is always friendly and helpful when I need their assistance. And the ladies at the registers are very pleasant when I check out. The store is tidy and I always find the products and produce I need when I shop, so my time there is quick. I want to suggest better labeling and pricing of items down the aisles. Anyhow, a decent and fairly complete Asian foods market with all right priced items.
I use to shop here years ago but its been a while since Ive been here.I stopped by to buy some fresh veggies, and to my surprise it was great! It looks like they did some remodeling!! I must have gone on a good day because all of the fruits and veggies were so fresh. And the store seems much brighter than before, they must have put in new lights!!Ill be going back here more often now!!!
Got what I needed. In and out in record time.
Nice, clean,fresh and reasonable prices!
This is definitely the place to go get your fresh fish as well as your Asian cooking ingredients. They also have a butcher meat department. Im not a fan of how they cut their ribeye which is sans bone.
Great place for fresh seafood in San Pablo
Their products are alot cheaper than other stores nice and clean.
They have relatively more complete selection on South East Asian stuff here
Great selection of Mexican food and bakery... definitely recommend it to everyone
Great back up to 99 Ranch, and has a lot of items more consistently, that 99 ranch does, particularly the Filipino foods section. Also has a nice liquor selection in the corner, and friendly folks. Part of San Pablo/El cerritos booming Asian market scene.
Best place for free seafood
Love the prices, and they have some things that 99 Ranch doesnt.
It is what it claims to be, an Asian supermarket, with more of a Chinese slant on the majority of the items sold there. Having said that, the market has a section for Hispanic and western items, which I assume is a reflection of the local demographics. You can find many things from eastern Asian countries, such as Kecap Manis, which is a type of soy sauce from Indonesia, belacan, which is a fish paste from Malaysia, and all kinds of curry pastes from Thailand, to give you a general idea of the place. Its a supermarket, so if you have any notions of making some Asian dish, this is a good of a place to find the ingredients you would need, as well as some of the other places like it in this region.
Neat and Clean...not unlike before.... its well organized 👌 👍 🙂 and the greencarts are made improvements..lol
The market is kool but these ladies that work in the cash register can very mean and they double scan items on your shopping cart, make sure who ever is shopping here for check receipt
Sweet, fresh live 🦀
Store, was clean, food was displayed nicely, enough cashiers to move people out in a timely manner.
Always good service
I love this Market! everyone is extremely helpful and they have pretty much all we need. by the way, if you like fried fish but dont like prepping it and dont want to get your house smelling like fried fish then this is the place to get it done for free.
Crab was on point lots of fresh seafood options
I like the phillipino food and noodle selection is great
Its pricey but they do carry variety of fresh meats and fish.
Tilapia fish cook there and los of mariscos
San pablo casino slot machine are really tight cant even win
Employee owned, competitive prices, and great service.
Love the variety. Got fresh water cress and big fish department will clean and fry your fish. Yum.
Excellent customer service
Our favorite place for authentic Asia food ingredients. I’m Thai so I cook Thai foods a lot. I can’t get things I need in regular grocery store. But this place I can have authentic Thai at home. Love the place.
Its friendly and very good variety of food
I’m Haitian so I grew up in a more foreign household, this supermarket suited a lot of my needs when it comes to cooking like home.
Has all the ingredients you are looking for that you cant find in grocery stores like foodmaxx. Has fresh inventory and you can get great price on all seafood.
Place is clean and lots of good selection in food. Fresh vegetables..
Typical asian supermarket with all kinds of variety. The meat section is pretty well stocked with all kinds of fish and meats. They can use a better selection of beer however, they only have the usual and some of the craft beers Im into these days. Prices are normal for a supermarket.
It a little spence.
Great selection of meats, fish, sauces, and cooking accessories. Friendly staff readily available to answer questions and help.
Great place for go to shops your groceries, there are dairy, meats, vegetables and fruit. there have a lot of products imported from fruits, vegetables to food in packages...there is a carniceria they sell you if you want the food cooked...
Its okay but the items are priced higher than other Asian supermarkets. It be dirty in there sometimes especially the meat section.
I love this place!! I go here all the time!! I like going to this place when its hit cause its always cold inside 😂😂😂
Fresh vegetables and fruits.
If you want to buy fresh fish is the place
Best fish market in san pablo!
They have excellent variety of Asian groceries.
Thai and Vietnamese frozen fish. Very good stock of fresh fruit, vegetables and oriental spices and condiments. Very convenient location. Friendly staff. My favorite place.
Nice and clean except for an old man I think he works there...he just keep following me while Im on the phone reading my mail but everything is fine
A great Asian market in the neighborhood.
It has just about everything I need for preparing all kinds of dishes ... I now have my niece & her family, my brother & his family going to this place. Meat is fresh & butchers are accommodating
Great product you can find just about everything you need here👍
You can buy most of the Asian goodies
We can easily find everything we need here. Poultry Customer Service needs to be improved.
I like the diversity of foods that are multinational, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean. The fish and meat counter makes the big guys look pedestrian. There are 20 kinds of rice. I love when there is a holiday and what people are purchasing that is ethnically essential in their families. Glad they are here.
Nice arrangement, cozy aisle and friendly staff.
Oh, the Philippines market got it going on here, tons of grocery items and a little extra, people are friendly good customer service. Dont expect no lower prices but you can find what you are looking for.
Its very crowded. There were 6 marks on the floors for waiting at the fish counter but people were ignoring to reach food items near the line.
Good selection of meat and seafood
Lots of Chinese spices, and other etnifood. Good seafood selection.
Stink bad smell all over. CrazySupermarket in business. Seems like something is dead. I will never ever go.Customers should be carefulNot hygiene at all. Feel bad for young children running around as could be E coli or some germs. Selection of fruits was good and spices excellent but due to clean and Stinky smell its the last day for me. Anyplace to shop should be clean and not like running away. I will go El cerrito Ranch market.
Good prices. Good selection off Asian foods and Latino foods. Definitely spent less than I would at Safeway for the same amount of food.
Convenient
You can find pretty much anything here. The only problem is the whole place smells kind of like fish. I wouldnt personally get any of their meat or fish products, but I go there for Asian herbs, spices, noodles, various spring roll egg roll potsticker wrappers, miso paste, Thai basil, etc.
The best fish in the whole bay area
Great! We found our new Asian market.
Best place to buy fresh seafood and shellfish place in Richmond/San Pablo area. Both price and quality is good.
