Got some great steak prices, so i grabbed four of them.

I was totally unaware of this store at richmond because i used to go to foodmax and 99 ranch for home grocery. But after my friend told me about this store i am their loyal customer. Wow what a great customer service. Even their managers are cool. There is not much difference in price but what i loved about this store is customer service. Check it out guys. if you haven’t been here you guys are definitely missing something.

It was a nice experience, they have boneless skinless chicken breasts on sale $1.99 per lb. Great deal . I bpught two family packs .

When its not crowded its nice to shop at this one. They sometimes will discount the meats or fruit bowls and thats always nice. Always check make sure still just incase. Today I did see some kabob meat sticks that looked a lil too old.

Its a Smart and Final, but its EXTRA.Large selection, well stocked, and clean.

It is a shame that this location has such rude cashiers! Whatever you do, DO NOT come to this store! The two cashiers were talking badly about their customers and even cursing saying the f word repeatedly. I feel bad for the rest of the workers there who were very kind and helpful. By the way, I reported this to the manager and she just sighed and was very dismissive. Shameful and upsetting. Spend your money elsewhere!

It would have been a great shopping 3xoeruwnce til I went to the check out and encountered a rude cashier with braids. Whats wrong with these silly young people. I played it off, but the old me would have chewed her up and spat her out. I let God deal with ignorant/stupid people now for sure. She had an attitude. I read people pretty well.

Store was stocked. Produce was fresh and appealing. Only issue is long lines. There is seldom more than two or three lanes open for checkout.

No need to pay membership like Costco, and you get items as big or bigger than Costco also Smart and Final has items that Costco dont carry.

I dont like this store anymore...S&F stop selling a certain deli salad without notice..S&F may have one or two good items on sale weekly... Their prices were very reasonable for quality products/bulk products... Store isle are narrow... TOO EXPENSIVE!!!

Great place to get bulk items

This was my 4th trip to this Smart & Final to find a single line that went all the way to the back of the store with only 2 registers open. Yes, people were exercising social distancing but the big problem was due to having only 2 register open. This I just dont understand & I refuse to accept that corporate wants shoppers to believe that they had to cut back due to losses in sales. That is just total typical corporate bull & greed. I have tried calling Smart & Finals Corporate office to discuss whats going on but they refuse to even answer their calls & are allowing the calls to go directly to mailbox that gives the mailbox full message. Not only is the parking lot at this San Pablo location the absolute worst, this store is the exact same. Since corporate is not interested in their customers, I for one of many will take my business to FoodMax & Costco where they can afford to offer their customers the better service that they deserve. More people should recognize whats going on here & elect to shop elsewhere rather than waste time in excessively long lines because the corporation wants to maximize their profit by making shoppers wait unnecessarily.

Always clean, friendly staff. When something is on sale, they usually have it in stock. Good prices.

The store is laid out oddly, but is full of bulk deals. The checkout line is enormous, there were 50 people in it.

Cant find the macaroni salad made from a company named Iris. This was the only store that carried it. Now they have the same items that all the other stores carry.

I usually buy my grains beans, rice, sugar and flour once a year good price and quality.

Came into this location today for the first time, store was ok and seemed to have a good selection of items... but I will never be back to shop at this location again due to the absolute rudest cashier I have ever experienced! Cant believe that man is even employed with the attitude he has and the way he treats customers.

Store was pretty well stocked, love they way they check you out. Two employees didnt have masks on while stocking, but overall store was clean and well stocked.

Clean and organized. Dont have all the brands like Safeway or Rayleys but good selection. Favorite place to go to for big cuts of meat. Good prices.

Smart and final carters more towards professional food prep (restaurants and catering cos) than the home shopper, as such you are more likely to find a great deal on sugar packets, bulk paper plates or napkins etc. than say tv dinners but for those with a big family or buying items for the company break room they have some great deals.If you are a single male who lives alone and rarely prepares elaborate meals for a family of 5 this is not your go to place to shop and would likely be better off at foodmaxx around the corner.Of the times i have shopped here (buying coffee, creamer and sugar for the office) the store was clean, lines short and staff friendly. The only reason I rate the store a 3, is that it is not a grocery store per say and more of an industrial supply store that sells food

Very nice and affordable grocery store closed our salon. I specially goes there to buy rice (Basmati and Extra Long grain) which is very nice quality and I am very much satisfied with my paying. I am visiting since here at least 5 years. I generally recommend you all guys to buy any groceries this is excellent place.

I usually shop at Smart and Final once a week. Lately the store is out of sale items. I try to remember to ask for a ring check this time I forgot. I will have to shop again for chicken the store didnt have. I bought a ham that was on sale it was a saltiest ham Ive ever had it wasnt worth the sale price of .49 cents a lb. I was very disappointed. I find I have to check my receipt to make sure I got the sales price on items. I only have to check the receipt at your store and Walgreens. I spent $160 plus dollars. I use to get butter and eggs at your store but the price for these items has gone up so much I no longer purchase items from Smart and Final.

Nicer than the Oakland store. Well-stocked and neat. And of course, great prices.

Prices are good. The two stars are due to the lack of effort by the cashiers. Now that bringing your own bag or be charged for a bag is the law The cashiers just stand there after ringing you up. Never asking to assist you or aking if you need help to your vechicle. I even had one checker stare at me like I was holding up her line, by not moving as I put my groceries in my bag. Poor, poor customer service at this location.

Be sure to READ THE NEWSPAPER Called to ask if they had an item, they did, drove all the way down there, picked several of the item out while no less than 4 employees walked right by me doing so (and in fact I had to move out of their way) waited in line for more than half an hour, finally went to check out and was told there was a one per customer limit. No signs, nobody said a word until I was ready to pay. Their response when I asked why nobody mentioned this rule? Read the Newspaper ad!

This is a great place to buy what ever you need especially meat when youre planning a large get together this is the place to go and get everything you need.

Warehouse grocery store committed to offering superior service, most of the employees are committed as well especially Nicole. If this place had as much items as food maxx Id always go here... But I appreciate having this store close by and that I can buy my husbands chef items here too.

The checkout line was extremely long, and only three cashiers out of right possible.

I went to smart and final in san pablo ca around 4pm when i witnessed a robbery, the cashier noticed a person walking out without paying and she adviced the security guard and she took quick action. She chased him in the parking lot and the cart guy tried to stop him and he drooped the bags he took. They prevented a robbery in the store. I just wanna congragulate the security and the employees good job

Absolutely love this location. I go there to get my Hawaiian sweet rolls, they are the best item in the whole place.

Great to have this store in such a food desert as ours--however it would be so much better if there were certified organic produce & products.Just because we live in a non-wealthy area doesnt mean we dont want/need/appreciate healthy food!
