Staff was knowledgeable and very helpful. The return I did was done super easy even though i didnt have my receipt the woman was able to look up my purchase and refund right back to my card without a hassle. Checking out was fast and smooth..

Ive ordered kitchen cabinets, backsplash and countertops at San Rafael Home Depot location on 12/12/20, which is more than 7 month ago to this date! The kitchen cabinets arrived and were installed by the end of February and the backsplash still not installed!The quartz countertops were installed with such a terrible quality that it ruined all the remodel! Look at the gaps on the pics attached. On top of it the installers damaged and left deep scratches on our brand new marble floors! After multiple attempts to mitigate this issues with the company installer and the Home Depot representatives I had no response or any resolution. Giving the Home Depot a few more days to respond and will have to involve my attorneys if no issues resolved. Very, very disappointed with their service!!

Huge shout out to Collen B. (Floor Specialist) for the help a few days ago. I came in looking for synthetic grass at this store because Napa was not going to have any until Saturday. Colleen just came in for her shift and although it seemed like she was still sorting out a few things, she completely stopped what she was doing to help me out. I havent seen customer service like that in months!! Again, kudos to her and hopefully shes recognized for her Amazing contribution to this location.

They have everything you need there..for the most part most if staff was helpful a few just did not know or want to help you..was not real busy..maybe a different home depot just like I found out different stores and locale and people working there makes a difference..like kaiser, Safeway etc..prices were good but I need to check Lowes out never been there since there is not one in Marin area .

San Rafael HD has come a long way. Much improved lately.

Hate the guy who owns home depot.he supports Trump. but, just the store in Marin County is pretty exceptional. Great garden section, some great value buys and they have a decent lumber selection. They only do horizontal cuts btw!

Purchased a washer dryer. Delivery schedule was two weeks out but they showed us they had inventory and assured us the delivery would happen. That would have been today, but we got a call last night telling us that the delivery would be delayed another two weeks. The reason was they didnt have inventory even though we had been assured that our units would be earmarked from the inventory the computer showed in the warehouse. This is so wrong. The logistics systems are tight enough to know these answers. Odds are the delivery is delayed to allow for geolocation consolidation by the delivery contractor. Home Depot made an agreement but relied on the contractor to keep it and is apparently happy to let the contractor break the agreement.In short, do not plan on Home Depot to have any control over appliance delivery. If it matters, make your own arrangements.

Great flowers and plants. I’ve came here several times to get them, I’ve tried other places but I always find the best here. Haven’t really met any nice staff here and they usually don’t talk either or greet. Most of the time I just do self checkout even if they’re available.

Always a hastle finding anything and theyre frequently missing what you need, employee knowledge is hit or miss at best, and online stocks dont reflect reality. Would love to spend my money we elsewhere, and do whenever possible, but unfortunately others dont carry some of the brands they have here. I would gladly pay more for some things to not give this company my money. I highly recommend the ACE stores in the area - they are organized, helpful, and well stocked for what they carry. Rafael Lumber is also a great store - well laid out, with great quality products...a true contractor supplier.

If I had an option I would give no stars. We’ve had no issues with himeDepot up to this point. We’ve gone to them for our kitchen, bathroom renovations and carpet replacements. We were met with horrible customer service by an older white woman with white hair in the blinds/curtain section. We had a very simple question and she was actively being RUDE and had not intention of helping us. We felt dismissed by her and didn’t get any assistance. She then handed us off to another person to get rid of us.

Always a great place to get what we need for our projects.

I was on the phone for 30 minutes to ask about Venetian blind. The clerk did not even know what that was. Then I got hung up on If its at all possible go somewhere else nobody knows anything in that store

The store clerks were in varying awareness of where things were. It took four clerks to find what we were looking for and we knew they had it just not where. Other than that we got a great deal and they helped with loading up the heavy stuff into cart and trolly thing then to one our vehicles. Still a worthwhile trip!

I dont know if all Home Depots are like this one, but wow, customer service is a serious problem. The prices here are lower than other nearby hardware stores and home centers so if you know exactly what you want and where to find it in the store, great. And use self checkout if at all possible to avoid having to deal with any employees.In general the staff is unknowlagable about the products or if they even carry something. Forget about asking for any kind of help. They may call for assistance but nobody will show up. If they do, they seem lost and annoyed that you are interrupting them. Again, this store has serious issues. One of the worst shopping experiences in Marin.Unfortunately, I will continue to shop here because the prices are low. I suppose people like me are what keep them in business and they know it. They have zero incentive to improve their customer service.

Purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator Nov 2019 and it broke down on me after 1.5 yrs. I purchased the 3 year protection plan and I called to get it repaired. They cancelled on me on three different occasions. It’s been almost a month since I started my claim and my fridge is still broken. It’s been a frustrating experience to say the least and Home Depot doesn’t seem to care. I will never buy any major appliances from here again.

Totally awful useless customer service trying to call home depot. As often happens, again when i called I got an automated phone maze before finally getting put on hold while it rang to supposedly connect me with a live person at the home depot store. After about 10 minutes of being on hold waiting for a real person to answer phone ithe home depot disconnected the call!

I am so impressed with the garden shop here now! Plants well taken care of and a wide range of plants, usual and unusual.

David, the Lumber Supervisor, was incredibly polite and helpful. He made all the difference in getting us set up for our home project.

ANITA IS AMAZING.! Me and my fiancé just moved and we’ve been going into this Home Depot just about everyday, everyone has been helpful, however Anita went above and beyond for us today.!

I ordered a huge amount of moving boxes and supplies online, and then went to the curbside pickup space to get them. I was just pulling in, when a young man walked up, and asked to see my order number, and next thing I know he was pulling it all into my car! He was so fast, and polite, and the whole process was unbelievably easy!

Always good experiences. There employee training needs to be better. You cant learn by videos alone need on floor training ASMs are not letting employees know what is inspected. I think hiring follows the Peter Princeable theory should think of something better.

You have to answer phone call quicker and with people with better communication skills. I have been meet with bad attitude and miss information too many time. I wanted to rent a truck after waiting for over 1/2 an hour. I was told I had to come down and secure tuck and leave deposit. So I get down to store and they tell me they dont do that, you have to show up in the morning and first come first serve. Wasting my time. I spend up to $100,000 in a year with you, I need straight answers with no attitude when I call. Even if I didnt spend that much, no excuses.

This location has the largest selection of trees and plants Ive ever seen at a Home Depot. I was looking for Japanese Maples and they had plenty.

After shopping for items for my wifes business, my final stop was at the tool department. I volunteer for the Marin Foster Care Association (MFCA) here in San Rafael and I realized that our main building did not have a basic tool set to accomplish some of the tasks we encounter. I met an employee there by the name of Trinidad and explained what I was looking for. I told him I just needed a basic tool kit to make the volunteers lives easier when assembling, fixing and repairing items.Trinidad was incredibly helpful as he works in that department and was able to not only help me find the exact item I needed but was able to allow for a small discount when he learned it was for a good cause. It’s such a great feeling to know that there are really good people like Trinidad working at a local business that understand the needs of a community-based organization. I advised the director of our organization and she was thrilled. This may seem like a small gesture by some, but to us, it meant the world. Thank you Trinidad for your kindness, caring and generosity!

There may be a new attitude emerging at the San Rafael Home Depot. I went there Saturday to buy a vanity, which I couldnt load on my cart. I stopped one young employee whose name I didnt get (tall, slender, long-ish dark hair) and he immediately helped me, even finding a bigger cart for me. Then I rolled the cart out to my car to wait for my contractor to meet me and help load it when along comes another employee, Cole, who, without my saying a word, offered to load the vanity into my car!!! It was like two Home Depot miracles in one day! Thank you, Cole and your colleague....very impressive!!! Good hiring job, Home Depot!!! Keep these guys motivated.

Floor tiles at less than half the cost of some tile stores and easy to self pick up, while some tile stores will charge hefty shipping fees. I love Home Depot!

Its a really great place to come to buy your things for less money and you could find anything you want in this incredible place because there are a lot things that you could looking for your work and i think this place is very clean to come and they give a great server to consumers

It was crazy that when we asked more than one employee were something was no one had a clue and a cashier was raising her voice to people in line and talking on her phone.

Very nice experience with Anita at the SR Home Depot today. She was helpful in determining if an item I wanted was in stock (it was) and ensuring that it would be ready for pick up. Cheery attitude but more importantly competent and efficient.

Crowded, aisles busy. Item I looked up online, and supposedly 5 in stock, did not exist in store. Talked to 2 associates and customer service. Customer service looked it up, store inventory said 5 in store, item not there. Manager gave me a couple of platitudes and sent me on my way. Ill drive further to get to a Lowes from now on.

Sophie from the blinds/ roller shades sections was amazing! Such a helpful knowledgeable person. Probably the best experience in any Home Depot we visited recently.. and we visited pretty much all of ghem around the Bay Area.

People have gotten nicer but generally know little about anything other then where stuff is, except the speciality folks. Prices are good, not sure if they price match with Amazon or others.Generally when possible, Id rather shop at a locally owned stores and find the local economy rather than investors out of state or country. 😉

This could be one of my favorite places in the world. All the stuff! But its soooo hard to get help here. I know Im not the only one who says this. However, if you know what youre looking for, and have time to look for it, the prices cant be beat.

It’s Home Depot. They have a huge selection with great prices and there has been an improvement in finding an associate to help over the years. They’re always friendly at the registers.

Good HD. Kind of tucked away. Might need to use google maps to find your way the first time. Not many employees at night. Theres a Target nextdoor.

Found what we wanted. Employees were very helpful. Customers were not doing as well at social distancing as we would have liked. Self check is easy and convenient.

The parking lot is filthy and the grounds are covered in trash, nails and screws. Every time I go here, there is yet another conversation I hear between employees who are bad mouthing the supervisors and other employees. The only good part about this home depot in San Rafael is the garden center is run by staff from Marin or at least have the common sense to know when to be professional.

Waited 20 minutes from someone to come help with a toilet bowl question. Nobody showed, I bought it and left. Will check youtube as usual

WORST hardware store in Marin! Currently standing in flooring department where I have been told they cant cut a carpet runner I need because their measuring machine is broken. No one here is bright enough to grab a tape measure and box cutter to do it by hand.I asked about MY cutting it and was told, Go ahead.Also, parking lot is FILTHY. Picture attached.Go ANYWHERE but here.(Freidmans in Petaluma is worth the drive. Plus, unlike this Home Depot, the staff is knowledgeable and FRIENDLY!]

WORST COMPANY IN THE WORLD!!!These people are the most useless, unhelpful, nasty employees. Their customer service is beyond unprofessional. We paid 8,000 to have 2 garage doors installed and the lady GiGi made us go around in circles for installation. The people who came to install it didn’t even know what they were doing. It’s been 3 months and yet the people who “installed” it reported the doors operational when the wires were cut and the cable was unplugged. No one in customer service helped at all, nor did they understand what they’re are talking about. NEVER BUY FROM HOME DEPOT

Once again, its impossible to ever go and just accomplish the intended goal of getting what you needed;each time I reattempt a visit, Im sadly left scratching my head once again.

Meh place. They recently moved things around in the store. When I asked for help, they kept telling me go down various aisles to see if I find it. Totally guessing.

Staff there in the hardware department were very very helpful. I didnt really know what I was looking for but they help me find it and ask the right questions so I got what I needed. Thank you so much for all the assistance Home Depot and couldnt have done it without you .......Paul

Guy the Lumber Manager is always giving good customer service!

In contrast to many other stores, this particular store has a great staff ... Mostly happy people in my experience. Great leadership helps to improve everyones mood and this helps draw happy customers to the store. Its an Improvement Store more than a hardware store. Making good strides here compared to others big box experiences.
