Overall experience was good. Sales agent Jesse was helpful in answering questions. Dealership did not have answers to simple questions such as what exactly is covered in “basic warranty”. Team needs to do a better job at understanding everything about the car and not run pillar to post last minute. Team is not cohesive with different negotiation terms provided by different members

Sergio and the finance team were great to work with! Im a tough critic having been raised by an old school car salesman. Sergio had answers to my questions and when he didnt or couldnt be the responsible party to answer, he was honest and up front about that. Highly respected! These guys were all very patient and were there 2 hours after closing time to finish out this purchase for me. Being a sales person myself, I know we give up our personal time to give our clients the best experience and make the process smooth, happy and successful. I appreciate they all did that. The detail shop was already closed, the car had been at the storage lot, so it had a little dirt on it and Sergio at least made the effort to send me off with a cleaned off car and an I owe you for the detail. My Atlas is only 2 years old but has been in the shop numerous times for electrical issues and this time was diagnosed with a leaking water pump as well. Service is very friendly and thorough but does not provide a loaner vehicle so had to borrow a neighbors car for over a week. Definitely recommend buying the service contract if you get the VW

Dropped off my car on time. It was finished by noon as promised. Dropped one star because of the lack of loner car.

Took 2 days to check our AC. They never told us it can take 5 days to run their system. My service rep Daniel was rarely available to talk to on the phone. He was often at lunch. Finally the service manager explained their AC machine issues. At no point did they even discuss cost of all this, I had to ask. Daniel promised to call me with updates at 10:30 am. On day 2, I called at 3 pm, he said nothing wrong, car done and we close at 6. Not open Saturday, even though hood message says they are open 6 days, that’s just sales silly me. We live in Sonoma as we told him. I’m not sure what Daniel does, but it doesn’t seem to be explaining service to me and updating the customer.

Excellent service as always. Even on what looked like a busy day, they completed my 60K service half an hour before the estimated time, and the car came back with a clean exterior.

I called the dealership to replace my water pump and Giovanna was able to find out if my car was under the warranty still fortunately it was. She made an appointment right away for the next day. When I got there I met Daniel and he helped me with my car it only took him a few minutes to check my car and send it for the service. I went home and Daniel sent me a text so I can be in contact with him and check the update of my car. Finally my car was fixed within the next day. Awesome people and great costumer service.

The finance department also was a good experience. AJ was superb.The rest of the team that I encountered also offered a warm greeting and eye contact. I came here after some shady offers from VW Oakland. I spoke to Drew one of the sales reps at Marin and told him I just wanted a straight and transparent offer. And dang Drew did not disappoint. When I got there I told him the offer Oakland offered which he matched and beat by offering a year model lower but the same exact car in terms of trim. He didn’t throw on ANYTHING I didn’t ask for. Wow! A salesman that did what I asked, I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I was so happy that Drew was being honest, which is apparently hard to find at other dealerships. I’m telling you I’m so happy with my experience, drive further if you have to and come to Marin where they will treat you like a human being and who understand that you work for your money. Seriously I’m so happy with my experience if the manger reads this I recommend giving Drew a better commission this month. He earned it.

Took a bit more time with the repair of my car than I had anticipated, and got back to me late on a Friday to tell me they would hold my car over the weekend, which was an inconvenience. But the work was performed well and car came back clean.

Total rip off. They didn’t help at all. Needed them to check for an oil leak and put air in my tires. Charged me $220, said there was no leak, that Jiffy Lube didn’t put cap on oil and said that the filter was slightly stripped. It wasn’t. I took it somewhere else.They charged me too much for putting oil in and putting air in my tires. Then they tried to tell me I needed to spend almost $1,000 more for a filter for the air conditioner, so it doesn’t collect pollen and other BS. They were just trying to take advantage of me. I called them back with follow up questions about why I was charged so much and what they actually did to my car and they said they would call me back and they didn’t. Not a good experience. The guy behind me in line was also having a very bad experience.

Appointment easily made and service completed as promised.

Patrick reached out to us when we were just about to give up our car search! He had the car ready to test drive when we arrived and he worked with our budget and processed our purchase with finesse. No drama and everything was Covid safe. We loved our experience and we are already recommending others! Thank you for an excellent car buying experience.

I would suggest to avoid the Volkswagen Marin. The worst customer service I ever experienced. I brought my car for oil change. Matt convinced me to perform a factory-paid repair and promised to have the car ready by 4pm next day. But no Matt, no anybody else ever contacted me. After giving up waiting I called the dealership. I was told that the car is not ready and would be ready in THREE DAYS at the best! They refused to provide me with a loan car or pay for a rental car. Its a disgrace.

Really some of the best service I’ve received, Matthew has been so helpful every time I’ve had to go in. He takes the time to explain to me what went wrong and if there’s anything I can do to prevent the issue in the future. Everyone there is very kind and able to work with you, they make what is ordinarily a stressful experience very easy. Sure, the price is a bit higher than other places, but the service is fantastic and they’ll make sure you’re taken care of every step of the way (even getting home and back after dropping off your car). Definitely my go-to location for car issues. Thanks Matt :)

I had a great experience this morning with Drew and the team. It was one of the easiest buying experiences Ive ever had, Drew was very nice, listened to what I wanted, and was never trying to steer me in a different direction. The entire team working was very friendly, the dealership was clean, and they had a lot of stock to choose from.

Very very disappointed with the servicing Team of Volkswagen Marin. I was given an estimate of $820 for my car servicing over the phone after scheduling the appointment for next day and the assigned person SERGIO they said the cost is 1400 (not sure how it changed from 830 1o 1400 in a day!) and never made an attempt to check with other person who gave an estimate of 820. Not even tried to convince or explain just Plain rude!

This was my second time buying a car from a VW dealer and the purchasing of a car was pleasant and not pressure.The internet purchase price of the certified preowned car was a great buy.There were a few minor issues like the mileage was posted as 10 something and it was really 20 something. They were very accommodating and reduced the price. We discovered it did not have a manual and the battery in the fobs are low.But I can’t complain . The car looks fabulous!
