This chain is going down in product quality and variety. ACE is going to give them a run.
Well organized but staff usually disappears after asking a question, ive been shopping here a while and have had a lot of mixed experience. What really annoyed me was them refusing to deliver lumber... why? How can such a common and critical item just not be available for delivery? Perhaps this is only for pressure treated but either way... huge disappointment and ruined the order i spent a long time putting together.
Well-stocked. Easy check out.
Yes, the Home Depot has just about everything you need for home improvement projects, except for personnel to assist you. I understand that cabinet doors need to be locked to prevent theft, but at least have someone available to get the items you need without waiting a 1/2 hour. Ok, I’m done venting 🙂
This is the fourth apartment build or remodel that I do. A lot of times I make the drive from San Leando to the San Ramon Home Depot because they always seem to have everything Im looking for in stock. Its a lot cleaner too.
Great selection, people working hard, i dont go often enough to know my way around that easily. The aisle signs were hard to see because stuff was stacked high enough to cover them, lol. Hard to get someone to answer my question and when someone did, they were harried. Yes, harried. Not complaining, stating an observation.
The expirience Was just Great costumer service congratulaciones
Brought a step ladder which I think was not as sturdy so went to return it (two days after I brought it). The person (ironically in customer service dept, I wish I would have noted his name) worked with me to return it, was very rude(forget of not greeting or anything.) he was outright rude! Anyways I eventually got the item returned. While I was stepping out I found out that my credit card was missing, so I went back to him and politely asked if I forgot the card there, to which he was like go back to the line and wait for customer service guy to be available. Very bad experience not what you would expect from Home Depot and certainly not from a “customer service guy”
Gregg was fantastic help. He helped me find what we needed to replace the plug to a welding machine. My husband was home and chatting through the phone and I hunted and found help. Knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
Home Depot was the usual unfriendly people with the exception of a couple of them that take pride and want to do good customer service. Danielle was outstanding well beyond expectations. Thank you.The person from plumbing however is the prime sample of not carrying at all for customer service. Rude.
Great prices and well stocked home improvement products and tools.
This is one of the friendliest Home Depot stores I have been to. staff is very eager to help.
I had a previous on line order which was placed on line although shipped to the san Ramon store in san Ramon California. After weeks of not getting a order update on status. I headed to the store location, after customer service counter advised me that they didn’t see it. They informed me to go to flooring and inquire.Lisa from flooring and window treatments, was probably the most amazing and out going Home Depot employee I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She literally would not and didn’t give up until my order was tracked down and in the end she found the item In the back warehouse part of the store.thank you Lisa!! You rock!!!
So much easier to return items than Lowes.
Home depot is always a cool place. Youve seen one Home Depot, youve seen them all.
Beautiful location, HUGE store, ALOT of workers. But I wasn’t satisfied with my visit, I was looking for indoor plants was hoping to chat with someone and getting help choosing one for my home. The lady I asked for help directed me to another person. The next person simply gave me directions and brushed me off, had no interest in helping me out.
They have pretty much anything you need when it comes to your home & yard stuff for repairs, appliances, tools, hardware, gardening tools, flowers, plumbing I mean you name it theyve most likely got it. The employees here are very kind, considerate, knowledgeable & helpful to you when you dont know where something is or if what you have is the right thing for what you need it for. I highly recommend using this Home Depot instead of the ones further North or South.
No one will wait on you, the employees in the paint department stand around talking and having fun with each other and then they all walk off when you approach with questions!
Call signal is always a problem here. They have enabled att WiFi here. Staff response is good from some, others not so helpful.
This Home depot has a great food place with bomb smoothies and tacos!
Excellent place to buy hardware or rent tools. Also have experts for advice with installation personnel on site.
Could not find what I wanted. Will order from Amazon instead.
Bought a box of Borax detergent and entire box was one hard lump. Used hammer to break up solidified box but cardboard is breaking. Will definitely return....
I liked the Home Depot in San Ramon. The staff was more helpful & I found everything I was looking for. And they have a hot food snack bar to order mexican food or hamburgers, etc. None of the other stores have the snack bar.
I got help from Trevor in Lumber department for closet shelf custom cuts. He listened to me patiently and helped with finding perfect combinations of melamine board and then cut it as per my requirements. It was really very nice experience and i highly recommend working with him if you are visiting San Ramon store Lumber department.
All the employees are very helpful and the checkout employees are very kind and fast. This home depot mainly has everything I need in stock. Also if you are looking for a home depot that isnt very crowded go to this one its mainly not crowded.
The young lady at Pro Services, is incredibly rude to customers. If shes not happy there, find another job to be arrogant at people.
5 stars, help me load concrete with out no delays.💪 To the guy that help me.
Good place for home improvement items
I wouldve rated 3 stars based on my previous visits, but using their app to order something and pick it up later that day was good. Ill usually go to Lowes instead and only go to Home Depot if they having something I cant find, or its heavily discounted.
Ordered online to pick up at this location. They switched my delivery day four times! Once my tracking said it was delivered to the store I went in to see if I could take my product home and no one new where it was! A representative called me saying that the store had never received it and it was lost in shipment. Even though my tracking said that Home Depot received it. Ridiculous that anyone has to go through this. It shows how irresponsible home depot is. NEVER buying from them again!
$400 of locks, door knobs and door stops for the newly refinished doors. Job close to finished.
Would like them to cut mouldings.
One of the few home depots in the bay area where they can actually help you some what some times. Always clean always quick.
I have used curbside pickup many times since covid. Very convenient, very fast. I can sit in my car and avoid contact with anyone while they load the order in my trunk.
This review is about the curbside pickup experience for online orders. Pretty painless experience! There are very clearly designated parking spots for pickup. After arriving, I used the link in the order ready notification email (or you can use the home depot app also) to let the store staff know that Im there, with parking spot#, make, model, color of vehicle, opened my trunk and within a few minutes, they came and put the stuff in. Very helpful. Didnt need to get out of car.
Can be good if you go right when they open and you know exactly what you want and know where it is.If you make eye contact with one of the floor staff dont be surprised if they scurry off like a cockroach.
Great place if you dont need any assistance, not helpful at all.
As far as Home Depot goes...this is a nice store!Clean, well stocked, helpful friendly staff.
As per usual I went online to homedepot.com. This time I was looking for dewalt batteries, they had a four pack on sale and the only store that had them near me (22 minutes away) had three sets according to their website.. So I drove I got there and did not see any so I asked a tool coral associate and she said I have a few people in front of you. I said I would be standing in front of the dewalt bins, while I was standing there another associate came up and I asked him. He complained about his phone not having reception to check item and said he would be back. Apparently he went to get a ladder but little did he know there was one not being used in the next isle over. About 10-15 minutes later the original associate came back and her phone also didnt work so I showed her the Sku number. She started looking and I said I already looked here and after a few minutes the second guy showed up with a ladder.. A few minutes later they both say sorry the website is wrong we are out of stock. This same thing happened to me last week with different items at a different distant home depot that claimed they had 15 in stock... I wish I could have a pain free trip to Home Depot where I dont scream out how much I hate going there. The big box stores have lost all my respect and taken too much of my time..
Sometimes I just come here to get ideas for new projects or find tools I don’t have yet that I might need eventually. The staff is friendly.
Great staff. Searched long looking for under counter lights that on-line said they had 9 in stock and only had one opened package on shelf. He gave me the open one for 60% off because it was missing magnets to hang it. We had already bought 3 of them and we decided we needed one more and no store from Vacaville to Hayward had any. It really helped us because I could get magnets separate to make light complete. We really appreciated this employees knowledge and dedication for helping us.
Outstanding customer service. After 30 days of using a product that didnt live up to my expectations, I inquired about the return policy. The San Ramon store said as long as I have the receipt, it could be returned. I couldnt believe it... but every customer service employee was helpful and made the return easy and hassle free. Made a loyal customer out of me! Thank you.
Their nursery had exactly what we needed. Monday morning clearly a good time. 9 x ceanothus Yankee Point Horizontalis. Neither Ace nor Sloats had this plant.
Rarely do I write reviews but the phone call I just had with the appliance dept at Home Depot, San Ramon has left me in shock. I purchased a new wall oven online a few weeks back as my old one died, and it was delivered on time. Although I had paid extra to have the old one hauled away, the delivery crew said they can’t uninstall wall ovens. Apparently this was something in the fine print that I over looked when purchasing a wall oven but I’m perplexed that they offered this additional service online and charged me for it. Regardless, I was advised by Home Depot online customer service, who were very pleasant, that I’d be refunded the extra charge and to call my local Home Depot who can assist me with possible options/contacts to have the new one installed. I immediately called San Ramon and tried to explain the situation to the rudest sales associate on the other end. Firstly she yelled “why did you buy a new wall oven and have it delivered during COVID!” then, “there’s no returns on wall ovens!” then, “I should’ve purchased from Amazon!” then, she hung up on me! Seriously! I was absolutely gob-smacked to say the least. Not once did I ever suggest returning it, just simply wanted any possible contacts they may have to handle this service.I understand everyone is suffering now....it’s been a tough year for all but seriously Home Depot, San Ramon, this employee needs a lesson in customer service & politeness. I hope the managers can retrieve the recorded call and hear her first hand. Will they care....who knows? All I know is that I’ll NEVER buy another appliance from them again!
Covid safe. I was dealing with flooring dept. Ken was exceptional in assisting me in flooring. Answered all questions.
I remember a long time ago not liking Home Depot but over time its been an indispensable resource and theyve come a long way to improve the consumer experience.
Staff here in the tools department was not the friendliest or the most helpful.could definitely do with a attitude adjustment
Im a reasonably active DIY guy (build my on fences, tile my own floors, etc). This is my primary hardware store as its only 5 mins from my house. Unfortunately, the place has gone downhill over the years. So many items out of place or difficult to find. And the lumber section is a wreck (many items marked incorrectly/place in the wrong stall). Quality people to help and/or answer questions are hit or miss. when I buy any large quantities of wood, I make the 20 min trip to Dublin Lowes where the organization (and signage) is outstanding.
Awsome store
Website said they had 33 windex on the shelf, they had none, and employees just shrugged and said the store was messed up
I have been to lot of Home Depots but staff at this home depot is very helpful... they have great knowledge about their products and in general about fixing things...they explain your questions very patiently..I love going their and buying
Dont waste your time at the store if you need Home Depot products go online this store sucks
You can find everything to renovate your house
This is a review about their curbside pickup. I put in an order, and I got a text and email the next day saying it was ready. I drove there, and it was easy to find the location to pick up, and someone noticed me park in the curbside pickup, and got my info to bring the order out. Nice. The items that were brought out were wrong (wrong lumber, not enough items). Turns out they were out of stock of the right lumber. So if you do curbside pickup, check your email notification because the items listed may have changed (mine did). And even what is listed as ready may not be in stock when you arrive. Their ordering and notification system are just not reliable at this time.Unfortunately, it didnt end there. I was still charged for the partial order, even though I didnt accept them because the lumber was wrong and I couldnt continue the project with the partial order. So to get my money back, I went to Home Depots website, logged in, got their customer service number, and called. After collected my info, they said they couldnt help me and I needed to call the local store the next day.Called the local store, and they refunded the money, which I appreciate, which is why I put a star back. However, spending about 4 hours of my time, just to get back to a zero balance and no further on my project is a poor experience.
Employees need to be more aware of roofing materials
The head manager was so rude and disrespectful. She’s so lazy and did not help me find the items I came for. She had a nasty disrespectful attitude and kept rolling her eyes. When I asked to speak to her boss she gave me more attitude and would not let me speak to him/her. I will not be returning and I hope no one gets treated like this again.
Was very good.
Didnt find what I wanted
Home depot good for what you need
Bought on line picked up in store. It was great.
Good service from the 🎄 guys, although some delay in releasing the🎄 after getting the tags. Great help from the propane tank helper.
Home depot has good selection and prices, but its realiably frustrating. This time: bolts in the wrong buckets, no bags to carry hardware in that would fall through the cart, clearly incorrect prices on the labels, and the employee pulling his mask down to talk to a customer, whose mask wasnt over his nose, and barely over his mouth. But this is my best home Depot experience.(Man, Lowes, Ace, etc. Are just worth any additional cost)
Generally good. They can work on category labels at the ends of the aisles being more comprehensive otherwise youre wandering aisles looking for what you need
This place lost my business.Stood there for 45 minutes waiting for someone to cut my lumber. There were people in front of me too. Finally someone arrived. People in front of me got their cuts done. But when it came my turn some manager arrived and said that only two cuts per customer from now on. I needed more than two of course. They would not cut it even if I pay them. So fine. You do not want my business, I take it somewhere else.
Like Home Depot in general. Go to place for anything home related.. especially the fixes etc. This location seems to be a small one compared to other home depot stores
You can find many items for home improvements there, but the staff in general do not have adequate technical knowledge.
The staff is always helpful here. Store is clean and well organized. Get there early to avoid crowds.
The two staff members I encountered here were both rude, the items I came here for were out of stock, and they have apparently implemented a line system where there is one very long line to get to one of only a few open registers. They now want to have one long line for self-checkout and staffed registers. Not sure how this helps and we’re painfully slow. 1) They need some sort of signage to reduce confusion and 2) they clearly need more staff working the registers to handle demands.
Same as always slightly below professional grade supplies at dirt cheap prices
Staff is pretty helpful
The food was very good and nicely presented. Honestly, one meal was enough for two
If you want hardware items, this is the place to go. The Mom and Pop stores are gone. They stand behind their products. They offer military discounts. Sure its a big box store. Staff are often hard to find, but go to the help desk and they will find a knowledgeable person to help you. Usually they are fully qualified tradesmen who have the answers
The patio door project went wrong in so many ways and it was so hard to find staff to respond until they assigned it to Shelley who is so proactive and responsive. At final stage, she even exhibited problem solving capability. Without Shelley, i would only give them 2 to 3 stars only.
The best store for all my DIY projects. Staff is helpful and answers all my questions.
Shelves were either empty or trashed. Staff asked 6 customers to leave an aisle so they could bring material in. Maybe this should be done while store is closed. Depot is essential to my work and home projects, but they need to get their act together.
Did the online order and pickup. When I arrived I realized I needed more stuff. The girl at the counter helped me get it fast and I was out in less than 15 mins. Great service thank you.
Great place but a bit crowded..Go early or after 5pm to avoid crowds
I spent well over an hour looking for some basic gutter supplies for my 8 by 12 foot shed. Not too many options available, very expensive and had a hard time actually speaking to a body....
Great place to find all your home repair needs, wish they had more people to assist or an app.to tell you where things are at.
Help was useless, as he been the car or seems for the past few years. They are just not training their reps as well as before. They around maybe be better off handing tablets with Google and YouTube installed to customers to answer questions.
Super long line, but it moved quickly. Paint station has several people working. Was in and out in less than 10 minutes, including custom paint mixing.
Home depot is great, #1 store for all of our construction materials on a professional level.
Went to get a key made at Home Depot because I had a specific key I wanted to use. A guy working self check out called for someone to assist me. I waited 20 minutes and no one came. The older lady with glasses and long brown hair Who was standing in front of us the entire time finally decided she want to help but then didn’t even know what she was doing. Complete waste of time and a joke
Great customer service great organization Best home Depot in the area
My 1st visit is 5 stars. The person cutting my wood was top notch. Very professional and one of the best employees they have. I will not allow my 2nd visit to discourage me from returning to this home depot. I understand its a tough spot to be in During COVID.Ok so the two stars Is for my 2nd visit. I had to wait 30 minutes to have the plywood cut. The person cutting my would measure the board incorrectly. I realize the wood was cut incorrectly At my house. On the other hand he was very nice and very kind and very professional.
Very confuse and unhelpfull person(Edd) in floor deportment. Which didn’t answer any of my questions !
Great selection and service now with self checkout.
The employees that work at this Home Depot or very helpful with the customers
Staff not all wearing face masks or doing much else to create a safe shopping environment
The best of the best
Always helpful, great team. Having knowledgeable folks in the paint department is priceless. They could charge a premium for the service, but they dont ;)
Has lots of stuff only needed keys service was good.
Not the greatest service. Selection seems thin at times. Lots of items are security tagged or locked up so much you cannot read the box. A hassle to find someone to let you read about the items and next to impossible to find someone knowledgeable about many of the items the sell. Still often better than Lowes.
It was ok. I couldnt find what i was looking for and couldnt find anyone to help me, so i left.
