I am an authentic born and raised NYC Jew who until 2016 moved to the Bay area because of grandkids. Ive been searching SF to find an authentic NY style bagel just like me. I kid that we moved here because NY and NJ bagels became too doughy and huge for my taste. Ive tried Boichik in Berkeley, Beautys in Oakland, and some others in SF. When a friend told me to try Sunrise I was sceptical as any NewYourker would be BUT my husband and I were pleasantly surprised. I tried three different kinds and felt they all had the bite we was looking for as well as the taste without the need to pull the insides out that we used to do with the bagels we were getting lately in NYC. I hope you will try them and agree.

I love this place hard working young couple has been here for many years thru thin and thick but bagel always come out fresh, tasty, and somehow just always the perfect firmness to my taste. Cant say this to other sunrise locations... I love to come here very early to beat San Ramon cops on the line and boy that sunrise eggwich with sausage and no cheese really get you going no matter how tough a day ahead...

4 stars for Bagels and Cream cheese. Asiago was good. 3 star for bagel sando. Good eggs, but bad bacon and microwaving took any crunch from the bagel away. 2 stars for the coffee, tasted burnt and old. Averaged to 3 overall. Decent service. Definitely call in your order. Even if you’re waiting to pay, call in orders appear to get preferred treatment in the queue. Expected one then the other for the 2 lines, as they still had to pay, but nope.

Family owned honest to goodness business offering fresh food. Variety is amazing. Never knew bagels have so much versatility

Had the veggie bagel sandwich on an everything bagel, and it was delicious! Seriously one of the best everything bagels I’ve ever had - perfect blend of seeds with a little sea salt and toasted perfectly! Veggies were fresh and crisp. (I made mine dry with no cream cheese due to a lactose restriction, but the avocado was perfect)! Highly recommend!

I work close to this place. Their bagels are always fresh and tastes great! I love their chocolate croissant. So soft and perfect amount of chocolate. Fast and friendly service as well.

So happy theyve been able to stay open during the covid pandemic! Great bagels and friendly staff. Boba is pretty good too!

This place is amazing! Been coming here for years because I work across the street and Ive never had a bad experience. Staff is great and the food is excellent. Their bagels and rolls are very good. Especially the Dutch crunch roll. All of their sandwiches on the menu are very good as well. They have a very nice selection of drinks and coffee. I would highly recommend. Everything on their menu is delicious! I love this place.

Dope bagel sandwiches, fresh orange juice, and fresh bagels all at an awesome price. There are a ton of fresh bagel flavors too, with speedy, friendly service. Great for a quick bite.

You should try a pizza bagel or bagel dog theyre great This guy gets New York bagels. Breakfast lunch and catering all are very good.

Used to go here about once a week, great sandwiches and selection. Nice family run place. Does get a little smokey sometimes needs a little ventilation.

It is a good place to hang out for breakfast in the weekend. They serve bagels and coffee and tea here. My favorite is smoked Simon bagel. Its delicious.

Enjoyed an excellent eggwich with turkey on Dutch crunch bread. The serving is huge and very good. Beats your chain brand breakfast sandwiches.

Always consistently fresh and tasty - good owners and staff work hard and are always friendly. Interior is a bit dated, but next to it is the a large quiet patio area - best in San Ramon for a lunch.
