Save your time booking an appointment with this company. After being put off for 10 days for a furnace appointment. I was called the morning of the appointment and told the tech called in sick and they didnt know when they would be back? Still havent been called back? I called Cool It in Sandpoint and they fixed my furnace fast, they were friendly, knowledgable and affordable.

Dont bother about these guys. They dont keep their promises and leave you up dry! We gave them a chance to install a brand-new heat pump dual fuel system after the old propane furnace broke down. After a sloppy and disinterested local inspection we were promised by the owner, he gets onto the quote right away. Well after a week still no response and when we asked them about the quote, the response was Were to busy. They made it easily crystal clear, that we would never trust that company to give them the job and to handle future services with such an attitude. If you are looking for a reliable HVAC, there is a new company just right next door, which are fast, have a great service and are on the spot!

Great experience with these folks. Theyve serviced (bi-yearly)my furnace for the last 10 years. The furnace is 20 years old and just needed a couple of parts replaced and Dave knew exactly what the problem was, ordered the part and repaired in the time frame he promised. Would recommend them highly.

This is the 6th time Ive used Pend Oreille Mechanical at my home and at my rental properties and they have always done a great job. In addition to being highly satisfied with their work, I found their pricing more than fair. The office staff, is always knowledgeable, and with their pleasant voices is always ready to answer all my questions. Dave is the person that always shows up ready to tackle the problem at hand. He is very personable, always on time and patient with all the questions I throw his way, explaining each and every little thing he does in the repairing process. Doug Dishing, the owner is of the same mold. They are proof positive for the phrase shop local and they do not “upsell” which is really appreciated! I recently had a misunderstanding with regard to a charge and Doug made it right immediately when I explained the situation. They will always be my go-to company for HVAC needs. Came two years ago and didnt fix it. Came out last spring and didnt fix it. Charged me $200 each . Then called them back in fall to really fix it, and even though I took a day off work to meet them they didnt show up. The Receptionist was nice, but the workers refused to set a time they could be there so I wouldnt have to take a full day off. Not very helpful and apparently cant fix my furnace anyway. They obviously dont need any more business because they treat customers like they dont really care. If this is how you want to be treated, then call them for help.

Over the last 20 years, Pend Orielle Mechanical has been by far the best contractor in Sandpoint that we have used, and the best HVAC contractor that I ever have used anywhere.

Terrible experience. I was told by the service manager that they could do an installation job for me when my stove unit came in. When it arrived two weeks later, they changed their mind and said they could no longer do the job. They left me high and dry. They do not keep their word. Could not recommend them
