We are extremely fortunate to have such a rad shop in our tiny little town. Outdoor Experience continues to supply our community with high quality gear and camping necessities to fit all of my summer and winter needs. I always find myself making a last minute stop in here before I head into the hills to get those last minute items like fuel, an extra dehydrated meal, tent repair kit, etc.

I always make a point to visit OE whenever I am in town. Well curated with quality gear and awesome apparel too. Friendly staff and awesome vibes. In the age of online shopping, its awesome to see a brick and mortar do such an amazing job at being a resource to the local outdoor community and keeping the stoke going. AND! I so appreciate seeing everyone wearing masks!!! Yeehaw!

A great small-town outdoors store. Get your stuff for your adventure here, or shop for Sandpoint local gifts. They carry items provided by local non-profits and the proceeds benefit the land advocacy groups like Friends of Scotchman Peak Wilderness, Save Our Cabinets, etc. And they do gear rentals with a great location to access the bike trails or water.

They were so nice! I went to rent a kayak, but the dock water was too low so after some scouting they volunteered to launch me under the dock! Their equipment was top of the line and their customer service was incredible. They launch you into Sand Creek right behind their shop, no travel, no fuss, and very affordable. I would definitely use their rental services again.

I always love coming in to see what’s new. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Being a small business the prices are not as affordable as online, but worth spending your money in part to support small business, and because they stand behind their products.

Informed friendly staff, if you want it they got it, if they dont, they can get it, rent or buy it, kyaks or bikes, electric bikes, climbing gear or a cool bell for your bike! a local shop worthy of your support because they will support you unlike a big box store. Thanks for all your help!

What a bunch of snots! My friend and I went in. Wed been camping in the winter so we may have looked a bit rough but lordy! NO ONE would wait on us. We were looking for boots and planning to spend a few hundred each, but since we looked a bit ragged around the edges (as the truly outdoorsy often do), the clerks would LITERALLY look away or walk away when we went to ask for a pair to try on. We left. Well spend our money elsewhere as will all of our friends. Cant believe this place is still open.
