This place is great. They focus exclusively grass fed Californian beef and the quality shows. The prices are higher, yes. But what you get is an order of magnitude better. The care taken with each cut, the precision in the sausage making, the tender care taken even in display. All the steps they take to make sure the meat is the best possible are all very obvious. Because they do it all RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!!! you want a rib eye? Chances are they are going to cut your steak to order. This place is amazing. Worth the trip and price for sure.
I love this place! We are regulars here. Everything is high quality, most is sourced local from California. The biggest appeal for me is that all the meat is ethically raised, free range, no hormones or antibiotics. Electric city carries pork, beef, and chicken regularly, and lamb, duck, veal, and organ meats sometimes. Free range chicken and duck eggs. They make sausages, bacon and a variety of cured meats in house. They do dry aging of steaks, ect to order.Some may find the products a bit pricey, the quality cannot be matched and it is worth it!!!
I had the best idea ever, to get some great meat and grind them I to patties for burgers. I wanted Chuck, short rib and brisket, and together in one glorious bite. I went to Electric City Butcher, told them what I wanted and they outperformed expectations. They cut the meat to order, grounded it for me, and then formed 6oz patties. 10 in all. I grilled them at home and they were an absolutely huge success. I will return to ECB for all of my meats at this point. If you are looking for steaks or burgers or sausages... Go here.

Familiar faces (even in masks) with kind input and patience for inquires or requests. The freezer inside has meatloaf, chili, meatballs and other good grab and go goods. Flat iron steak good place to start. If the bacon is there, get some. The shop is nose to toes so cuts come and go. High quality not cheap tastes great. Fun place to snag hamburgers and think hand cut steaks like porterhouse or ribeyes.

I would say they are expensive, but you get what you pay for, seriously great meat. This is my go to place for cuts when I BBQ/smoke. Also they have cuts and items you wont find elsewhere and can custom order whatever you like.
ECB set the standard for my expectations of a butcher and unfortunately I have suffered as a result. Their quality, customer service, and professionalism has left me disappointed in every other butcher I have been to since moving out of LA. Visit them, ask questions, try on of their cuts, and you will be pleased if not impressed.
Cannot recommend ECB enough. The meats are phenomenal- theyve got just about anything you could imagine, and are happy to help you find something if they dont. They remember you by name, your preferences, and really put a lot of care into their product. I only go to them for my meats when Im making my lasagna, and whenever my boyfriend and I go to a party were sure to take along a charcuterie board (call a few days in advance, theyre happy to whip one up for you).

ECB has access to the very best meat vendors and very knowledgeable, customer service oriented staff. Exceptional meat is not cheap, but ECB is a good value. Treat yourself to the very best!
Good meat, but way over priced!I purchased a Pecanha (sirloin cap) @ $22.00 a lbs was not worth it.It was tasteful but tough and the fat did not render well. I’ve had much better grass feed beef for half the price not worth $67.00 at all.
Best butcher in orange county by a good Margin. Not the biggest selection (because it quickly rotates so everything is fresh), but everything they have is solid.

ECB is one of my favorite places to shop and undoubtedly has the best quality meats in So Cal. Their prepared dishes are outstanding too. Michael and his team are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and youll love the vibe in their store. Youll pay a bit more but itll be worth it. Warning: With meat this good, the chef in the family will have a lot of pressure to cook it properly.

Great quality meat! I love my filets and rib eyes. :-) Not many premier butcher shops around. I initially went in to get food for my dog. Yes, my dog is spoiled. They have all the meats I needed (Organ and bone meats; heart, kidney, liver, turkey neck, etc.) and they also ground it up for me too! Its hard to find a butcher shop that has all you need for a Raw Food Dog diet and who will grind it up as well. This saves me so much time! Thank you!
A quality butcher shop that has a good selection of meats to include sandwich and sausage delectables.The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They offer on site butchering and a website that will answer questions about serving sizes and other need to know party planning.I purchased three nice sized ribeye steaks and cooked the the same day. They melted in my mouth! I will definitely be going back.
The guy who helped me had a lot of knowledge of all the meats and guided me through what I might be looking for. Not a knowledgeable person of steak myself so it helped a lot.He was very kind and helped me choose which steak to buy and how long to cook them.Cooked the steaks and they were great. Idk the difference between one butcher shops to anothers but I was very satisfied with how my steak turned out.Definitely pricier than say a Ralphs but the service was great and they have higher quality special meats like their aged steak and wagyu.

Expensive. BUT their cuts of grassfed beef are gorgeous, and the gentleman who helped us was excellent: suggested ways to cook and prepare the ribeye, what to serve it with, etc. They also had lightly smoked bones (of all sizes) available for pooches. We bought two because we thought it would be crappy of us to cone hombre worth two of the most delicious looking steaks for ourselves and nothing for the pups; needless to say, the dogs are very happy. Well absolutely be back to try done of everything else!
Absolutely the best beef Ive ever had. Better than you get at Mastros, Mortons, Flemings or Cut, yes even Cut which is ridiculously good. If you have never had true pasture raised beef, do yourself a favor and visit ECB and purchase your favorite cut. Youll be blow away with the difference. I used to by Prime meat at Cost Co but it pales in comparison to their quality. But be forewarned, your grocery bill is going to go up substantially. Once you have it, there is no turning back, it is that good.

These guys were amazingly helpful and made sure to do what they could to help me get what I needed under budget and were quick to offer to de-bone and shave off the excess fat for me. I made a honey, apple and cider roast lamb leg last night for a party and it was a major hit! Didnt even need marinating, the meat spoke for itself! I called in at the beginning of the week to ask whether they had a leg in stock and they even offered to hold it for me.I fully plan to come back soon for duck and rabbit that I saw they had in stock. Remember, youre paying for quality!As a quick note, theyre in the corner of the 4th Street Market on the /inside/. I ended up turning myself around in there once or twice but was able to find it once I went outside the building and around the corner. Theyve got their sign on a door there. Happy finding!
