Amazing mole and exceptional service!! Its a very homey feel inside and the decor is lovely.Romel (and the lady whose name I cant remember π₯Ί) were so helpful in explaining the dishes special to Oaxaca since it was our first time. Definitely get the quesadillas doradas π₯. The mole cololradito with chicken was so so good. You can taste the time it takes them to make mole. We also enjoyed the platanos flameados; very bright and warm. Maybe it would go great with a scoop of ixe cream but it was tart and sweet and spicy (think cinnamon).Highly recommend.
Be prepared for the most flavorful and authentic Mexican food you have had in a long time. This is not California βMexican Foodβ, this is Oaxacan Food and you are going to find yourself thinking about how good it is a lot! Warning: it is addictive. We always start with the Maracuya (passion fruit) juice. The mole on the appetizer chips is amazing: sweet and just the right amount of chocolate. To really get a sense of the flavors and tastes of Oaxaca, I would suggest one of the sampler platters. The La Tentacion is perfect for 2-3 people. We have never tried a dish that we did not love. Enjoy!! β₯οΈ
This place has truly authentic Mexican food there is nothing close to this in Orange County. The service is outstanding the owner Romel personally makes sure that every customer is satisfied. I would recommend it to anyone looking for Mexican food.
Very good goat π in caldo. Wish they have menudo.
The presentation of their dishes is good and looks nice and tasty. For the most part it is, however pretty much on the menu tastes the same.
The food was great. The drinks are homemade. But the parking is horrible. Their parking is very small. You cant park on the street because you need a permit.
The food here is great! The taste is very rich and there is a variety of plates you can order. The over all aesthetic of the place is very welcoming and is overall a very nice restaurant. Would really recommend going there.
Delicious food, friendly staff and great customer service. I ordered a tlayuda and the birria tacos.
As I loved coming here it just recently was put under new management the food wasnt all that great in how I remembered it being :(
Food is real good service is excellent the only thing is that they need more parking spaces and bigger place and hot sauce π
Great date night place and the waiters were very attentive!
We shared the Taquitos Dorado, the mole and chips, as well as the chicken soup. The entire meal was so tasty and we really enjoyed the food and the experience there as well. The restaurant is not in perfect condition but has a sense of family, has charm, and can seat large families or a small table for two.
The food is so delicioso my favorito is camarones rellenos con jaiba π₯΄π₯΄π₯΄ horchata on steroids and so good, tlayuda another highlight of your Oaxaca culinary to eat list but its totally worth time and money and most importantly satisfying ourselves.
Very good food. The molΓ© is bomb. This place really transport to a small town in mexico
One the best restaurants i have ever been to. Parking is an issue but the food is worth it
Slow service, small portions, high prices. You decide...
Authentic and delicious. Try the Tipica platter for a good mix and an agua de limΓ³n y pepino ir horchata to wash it down. Definitely get the mezcal plantains for dessert with a homemade vanilla ice cream. Heaven.

Its the best food i have found very authentick good service and very polite its great
Food was decentOrdered quesadilla dorado( vegetarian) . Came with rice, beans and a spinach salad. Their sangria( wasnt good) looked water down. And resembled the taste of box wine. The service needs improvement. The utensils was provided by the gentleman who served our food. Which I believe should of been done by the waitress.
Excellent food and service. Far away from home but will come back. Highly recommend it.
From reading the menu seems that is authentic food and flavors. The place is small and has outdoor dining available.I ordered the enmoladas and were really good..
I definitely love the food of this place, the MΓstico plate and the Molcajete are the best I have try on the area of Orange County, I know the restaurant might need some charm on the face but the soul of the food is awesome with a taste you have try
Ive been coming her many many times and this has been my only Oaxaca favorite restaurant but I went in yesterday and I didnt like my service Ive never had a good customer service that Ive been happy about but yesterday has been one Ive actually dislike my family and I arrive before some other lady and her friend and they were help out first not just that but we wouldnt get ask if we wanted anything like the waiter kept passing to fast and we love the chips that with the mole that is always given out first but they didnt take it we waited a while until I was able to get there attention and ask for it my sister had ask for the made horchata she loves it with fruit they ask her which one she wanted if the regular or the made one and they took her the regular one then she re orders a other one minutes later and they tell they didnt have any more thats why they didnt give it to her the first time I just felt like it was super mad to be seated it took them more time to help us out and to help someone else that arrived after us was just unfairThis has only been the only restraunt that I like my tlayuda and if I get another bad service Ill just have to stop coming they really need to work on giving out a better service with there clients why hire ppl that cant have a good attitude when serving π ββοΈ
I donβt want to be the sour one but my first time in here the waitress made us wait half an hr and even then She didnβt came out to ask how we were doing or how much more time. The place wasnβt busy to say we had to wait that long.really bad service!!! π
This place by far has the best micheladas ever!!! If you go its a must. Try camarones con jaiva... bomb.com
The food was super authentic, and so flavorful. I had the Xochitl soup, and I loved the simple flavors of the chicken, rice, vegetables, cilantro, and lime. The ambience was so warm and home-y, and the staff was so hospitable, friendly, and welcoming. I cant wait to go back!
I really love this place! The food is amazing, the ambiance is great, and the service is wonderful. Will definitely come back!
Food is great, but a 20-30 min wait time for my to go order, (which i had phoned in) slowly turned into over an hour. Granted, my order was rather large, so i was very patient, however, when they game me the food, they put mole into one of those standard to-go foam trays and put it at the bottom of a bunch of other stuff without so much as a warning. The trays got crushed, and got mole all over my seats, their mole is delicious too, but what a waste of mole and money! Then i called to let them know what happened to try to spare some other poor customer the same experience, and they did not answer, nor called me back even though i called multiple times. Its gonna be a while before I go back.
So good π we stopped to get food to take home. It was all excellent and while we waited they gave us chips with cheese and mole so good
This place the best of the best great service excellent food good prices
I have been going here for years, and I am never disappointed. I lived in Oaxaca several years, and the food at this restaurant is authentic, and excellent. It is very clean, and has excellent service. I like the ambience, also. It is small and intimate. On weekends, itβs busy with Mexican families. They also have music sometimes. Try the tasajo, the tamales, and anything with black mole. I highly recommend it.
Good food and the waitress was very kind and attentive. Its nice to be able to try a different style of Mexican cuisine.
Really good
Pro:Food is amazing! Fresh, Delicious, Authentic, & Affordable! Customer service is great. It gives off a home feeling, as if you are sitting in Mexico. They serve you chips con mole and queso while you wait!Con: Parking is very limited! No AC so it can get a little hot in there. The wait time to get your food served takes a little longer but honestly worth the wait!
Nice welcoming restaurant with great food and nice service. The only thing I would complain about is the parking... Very little parking space but a great restaurant
Small place, but excellent service...Delicious food.
Absolutely amazing food. Their black mole is delicious and has a rich flavor.
If you like Oaxaca foodThis is a good place to go
Food was tasteless, drink was bitter. Only thing was that was good was the chips with mole. Waitress said no alcohol was being served at the moment but we saw Other customers being served drinks. Will not be coming back.
Good oaxacan food, no for everyone though. But uf you been in Oxaca state, this place takes you back. Be aware ia not a fast food restaurant, the cook from scratch, be patientπ
Wonderful, wonderful place. That was a magical evening.Very delicious food, friendly and fast service.Very good live music.Reasonable prices.Cozy place. They do accommodations.Well be back for another bday. The parking is an issue but is worth it.
Delicious Oaxacan Food
The Mole Amarillo was excellent. The service was great and the overall atmosphere was good.
Love their mole! They have several different moles. I really like the original black mole. Great depth of flavor. Their season grilled pork was delicious! If youre going with a bigger group definitely get the sampler appetizer. Has so many choices.
Great customer service, cold beers, food so good as a father of 2 kids i look forward to my kids not finishing their food so i can eat it!!
Best restaurant experience in Oaxaca, you cant missed it.. The grill octopus was amazing, they cook for you in the table and all the ingredients are awesome fresh and delicious.. Congratulations to the Chef Alejandro Ruiz, our anniversary was amazing! We definitely want to go back!
Fantastic atmosphere. Amazing and presumably authentic food. Absolutely recommended.
The food here is good. The mole chips they give you are delicious. I think the only thing is there is no air conditioning and parking is so tiny.Phenomenal food. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is super good. 10/10. The tlayuda is my personal favorite. The tlayuda was amazing! Its the size of a medium/large pizza and can easily feed 2-3 people.
Amazing food, great prices. And omggg, I reccomend this place so much. Parking may be a little hard to find during busy times. But overall worth it!:)
Good food with good authentic flavor. It is a place to go to experience authentic food with authentic flavor.
This is an excellent Oaxacan food venue. It is both delicious and affordable. Highly recommended!
The food is a little overpriced and the service can sometimes be a little lousy
Food was good and service was ok. I wouldnt go back. They welcome themselves to your pocket by adding a tip to the bill.
Delicious Food. Great customer service. Will definitely go back.
Really good, tasty, and yummy tlayudas!! πππ
Bad service, bad illumination, the chips are not fresh. I ready visit before, but now its completely different. π
Great food, cheap prices. Great service unfortunately not too much parking. Dont park in the street due to tickets, Sunday?
It was a good authentic experience...its a little cramped and parking is a nightmare if its packed.... the food is great not the best but really good....price wise its roughly about 60 for a family of 4
Fine dining at the South Coast Plaza. The restaurant offers validation for valet parking which is right outside the front door. The menu is extensive with a lot of meat selections. We had the 24 oz. Porterhouse with bone in, and shared it. The sides are extra. Everything was very well prepared. Our wait person, Jill Bodette, was very attentive. We will definitely return.
Just in from Oaxaca, craving some good Oaxacan cooking. Only a few servers were friendly. Food not that great and they ignored us, until my husband who is Mexican asked if we had to eat standing up. My menu was torn in places and had food stuck between the pages. Pass on this place if you are not Hispanic and are sensitive to discrimination. The menu is in English, but not all of the servers speak or understand it. I ordered the traditional squash blossom empanada without corn smut and they served me a plain cheese quesedilla. They fixed it, but by the time it came, I was already full. This might be a great place for locals, but if you are not one, stay away.
Great, great I repeat great mexican food. A must visit, this place specializes in food from Oaxaca. It isnt your ordinary mexican food but like I said before, its GREAT!!! PS its extremely economical.
Definitely my Favorite place to eat Mexican food..especially el tipico oaxaqueΓ±o plateπ
I love tacos.I love late night taco joints. I love El Facilitator.Their tacos are warm and piping, their salsa is fresh and acidic, and its a good price for your wallet. The only downside: it gets crowded so the line gets long and there arent too many places to sit. Also, make sure you bring cash! Theres an ATM outside but they do charge you.
Very tasty food. The mole, very rich in taste with the right amount of spices. The tortilas are authentic just like they make in MiahuatlΓ‘n. Very nice people and great service. We came to Disneyland and found this place On maps with great reviews so we had to try it....and happy we did. We live in Hayward, San Francisco bay area and if we are ever in the L.A. area we are going to visit this place!
Simply the best!!!! Every visit I try something new. Im never disappointed. πππ
Great food... great customer service....nice place
Great employees and amazing food!! 100% would recommend!!!
Nice food, the service is a little slow.
Great food and drinks a bit slow but the taste cover the slowest part
Service takes forever there, waited almost an hour for my food that was okay
Authentic tasty and delicious food .The problem withthis place is the parking lot.
Love this place best barbacoa that I hace had. I also recommend the agua de maracuya. Evething that I have order has been great
No Northern Mexico food here. But really great food from Southern Mexico. If you want a taste of real and really good Mexican food, eat here.
Clean and food good service poor
Food is really good and service excellent
Foods tasty but I just legit waited 1hr10min before I got my food π
I am not sure if I just had a bad day with the chef but I was not impressed. The food all tasted under seasoned. The food did take long like others stated but that didnβt bother me. What was heart breaking was that the tortillas were not flavorful or even resembling any essence of corn... the birria was also under whelming, the consume has plenty of tomato flavor but no complexity of spice or depth of developed layers from unique spices.I ordered a chicken empanada ... it was more like a giant quesadilla. It had yellow mole that was bland. The chicken was plain, the yellow mole was just a purΓ©e with no personality. The tortillas was not inviting by any stretch of the imagination.I came with 4 others and no ones was over the moon about their food. The most interesting thing was that after your done eating you have an odd aftertaste thatβs hard to describe...Their food was just ok. Most Mexican places these days are just meh but if your oxacan restaurant... you better knock peopleβs socks off !
The Mexican chocolate is delicious! I must admit the outside of the restaurant is not very appealing but once you enter, its so beautiful. Lots of OaxaqueΓ±o artwork and Santos displayed. My Grandma is visiting from Mexico and she loved it here and fell in love with their Santitos they have displayed. The food is filling and delicious. My first time having agua de maracuyΓ‘ and I loved it. That drink is hard to find even in the most authentic Mexican restaurants.
The food is good but worst customer service.! Place is very small, no parking ! Cant park in near areas or you get towed! There is a waitress that is always serious like she doesnt like her job.
Great food! But! Double check when waitress add tip to your check they do not know how to add. Oh! and if you mentioned that they made a mistake adding the tip, they will give you the nastiest attitude!
