Always rent my snowboard boots if I dont have them. Very helpful staff and they fit your shoe size into the appropriate fitment. If your in Santa barbara area going towards Los Angeles or even up north in this area I definitely recommend this spot!!!

Mountain Air team knows their stuff and are very helpful and kind!Called ahead to see if they supply Yakima rack parts and they answered after the 2nd ring and told me they had just the person to help me. Dustin, who I believe is the store owner was on top of it and had me read to roll with replacement keys and a rack part in no time. Will definitely be coming back for more at Mtn. Air.

Its like a candy store for an outdoor person. A family operated, local business with knowledgeable sales staff. I was fitted for boots quickly and am super happy with my lightweigh gortex hikers. I cant wait to go back. They even had beautiful hand picked books with outdoor themes for children.

What do you get when youre the only ski tech shop in town and your tech shows attitude by refusing to do a base grind when he wants to do a complete tune up? -- A former customer who is willing to get his work done at the resort instead. Still, two stars for Hayden, the awesome guy at the desk who got my Marker binding part replaced under warranty in under a week!

Mountain Air Sports is Awesome they have everything you need for kayaking, skiing, hiking. I highly reccomend MAS over any other store. Very friendly staff. Plus they also install kayak accessories

Awesome selection of shoes, clothes and outdoor gear. Polite and helpful staff. Bought a nice pair of Lowa’s that I had not seen elsewhere. Also, scored a neat bucket hat.

I really wanted to help out a small local business but on a recent visit, I found the employees had an attitude and were too busy to help me. A young man at the front desk (possibly a “manager”) was actually arguing loudly with another customer about a refund! Great way to run a business! Why wouldn’t they try harder when the REI is so close and their employees are so professional and helpful? I won’t be back.

This is a great store with a very friendly and helpful staff. It has a wide selection of camping and climbing gear, as well as kayaks and skis. I think it has been in the same location for 35 years.

A good outdoor store, have bought a lot of stuff there. Got annoyed when my wife went in a day beforehand to reserve some ski boots (on their suggestion) and when we went in the next day to pick them up, the ones she got were a year older and were much too loose so we got stuck retrying them on all over again to find se that fit right. The whole thing was stupid and the kid behind the counter argued that the ones she had tryed on before were reserved for someone else, we sort of wonder what we were doing coming in early if not reserving them?

Fantastic locally owned store that has just about everything you need to ski, snowboard, hike, camp, all kinds of clothes and gear. great service, nice folks. if they dont have it, they will order it. i want to support them over REI as they have been here over 20 years and deserve our Santa Barbara business.

REI may be good for your everyday low price quick stuff, but if you want quality that lasts, that is sold to you by knowledgable experts, then go to Mountain Air. And their Mountain Air Money rebate program is a nice touch for discounts.
