Stay away from this place if you have other options! Broken doors, wrong items (wrong colored and shaped hinges), and no respect for customers. Had to call them 10 times about my order for 6-7 weeks! The only good thing about this place is its size and the variety of items they offer which is good to get some initial ideas or price comparison/matching.

Wow. Its freaking huge. They rent tractors, trailers, construction equipment, hand tools, they sell building supplies, they usually have good inventories and huge selection and for the most part their prices are better than home Depot. Geared more for a contractor, if you know what you want, this is the right store. Impressed with the logical way the stores, shelves and displays are setup, stocked and maintained. Great price on paint. HD carries a lot of things home Depot does not have. Ill come here before Home Depot, in filling the items at home Depot I cannot find at HD supply.

I went to pick up an order for my sister and the staff was amazing! Marcelino I think they said was his name went above and beyond for this. 3 times what he pulled was not it but he didnt complain one bit. That is customer service to its fullest. He was busy with another customer and he did rapid jobs the guy should be store manager. The way he worked made it seem as if he already was. 😃

Great selection of doors and wood. Little less expensive than home depot. Make sure you know what you need or want as not many employees as the big box stores.

Just finished renting some equipment at the HD Supply Location in Santa Clara. Honestly the Assosiates were really on top things from the moment they saw I needed some help. I wanted to write a review on my own to share my appreciation for the promptness and hospitality Guillermo showed. I later found out the associates names who helped me out. I appreciated it (names are Guillermo, Omar, and Timothy) if you need help with anything, these guys will help you out quickly and with excellent customer service. Thanks again honestly

I went in today to purchase a kitchen sink. I asked two different people to help me, and got no help at all. The first person told me to talk to the second person, a manager. So I stood in line and waited. And waited. And. WAITED. All while this “manager” sits on his computer and does nothing. After about 10 minutes of waiting, the person in front of me walked up and asked him if he was busy. He helped that man, badly, and the man walked out. 20 more minutes of waiting, without this manager saying a single word to me because he was back on his computer, I walked out. I hope to never need anything from this store ever again

Putting together a build order and when I called the store to get a quote I was told they dont do quotes over the phone. When I inquired about even getting an estimate on just a single item, the associate told me that he didnt want to walk across the store.Why on earth would I take the time to go into a store and give them my money when the employee wouldnt take the time to give me a reference point for my budget proposal? Maybe Im wrong but, in my experience getting a quote on items sold by quantity is fairly standard, but from this interaction it seems HDSupply isnt used to supplying projects? This is the type of service I would expect from Home Depot or Lowes.HDSupply will be added to that list of places to avoid.

The worst customer service I have experienced here in Santa Clara location, I didn’t get the same service in Hayward location. They spoke to me like I asked them for free item. Why we are paying for this kind of service?

These guys have everything! Needed one of those fence mender plates too shore up a loose fence post. I was wondering around trying to find them and an employee walked up to me and asked if he could help me find anything. When is the last time you had that experience at one of the national big box stores! Got the mender, a small saw and a box of nails and was on my way in 15 minutes out less than $30. If you have a project, any project, and are within 30 miles of these guys you owe it to yourself to go by and check them out. Youll be glad you did.

I love this place! Tim and his staff from tools rentals are always going out of their way to make sure I leave happy. HD Supply in Santa Clara will always be my go to place with equipment and tool rentals! I highly suggest you save yourself the time and headache before checking out other places and just call Tim and his staff first, trust me!!!

I went in looking for a small portable A/C Unit, I saw that there was 1 left on the floor so I went to ask if there was any more, they replied with no at the customer service booth which was okay. I asked if there was anything I could do about the display because it was damaged, scratch, and the buttons were worn off but due to the heat I was desperate, so I asked if there was anything they could do about the price even 10$ off they nodded and looked away. Good luck selling the item. Customer service people get a 0/5.

This is a great place to come for home projects as well. A nice change from the big box home improvement stores. Just lots of selection and low prices.

My favorite hardware store/lumber yard. Great service. Friendly. Great prices, Drive through lumber yard and never ever crowds. They do not have the selection of lowes or home depot or pine cone etc. but when i can buy at HD supply i do..great store, service and prices

Most of the folks at HD Supply are good to work with but I found John, their manager very hard to work with. IMO, he is not very customer-friendly. I have come across him twice and both experiences have been bad. The second one today takes the cake.I had placed an order for an entry door ten days back and paid for it. I was told it was expected by 12/3/14 (today) but there was a potential delay due to a strike at the suppliers. I was also assured we will be called when the door was ready. I didnt get a call and so I called today. John told me there were two doors in stock. I was wondering why they didnt call us but wanted to stay focused on the immediate need. I requested him to keep one aside but he said he cannot. I reminded him it was paid for already. I was flabbergasted by his response: It is only a deposit. It will not be cashed in until the door gets picked up. The implication is, they cannot keep the door aside. This sounds extremely ridiculous to me. I had to rush to pick it up while fervently hoping someone else didnt pick it up in the mean time. This after paying in full, ten days in advance AND after being assured one will be set aside and we will be called!! How is this for customer-friendliness!! I told him he was doing all he can to drive away customers. At least I for one would never shop there as long as John is the person in charge.

Huge Home improvement supply warehouse.Most people dont realize its open to the public... Lots to choose from. Way more than home depot. Prices are average.If you are working on a fixer upper definitely worth a look... I will be visiting this place again! The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because no one acknowledged me or asked if I needed any help.

This place is suck now due to management has been changed. I shopped a lot there when TIM was in charge back 4 to 5 years ago and now completely disaster to shop specially when you deal with John.
