First time going to Guitar Center (first time goin to any music store) and it was a great experience. Everyone was real nice and welcoming, it seemed like everyone knew their stuff too. I mean, the first thing I saw/heard when I entered the store was someone playing the guitar, I thought that was pretty cool (the guy was super nice as well). As I walked around everything looked really nice, found a pretty cool guitar strap for my acoustic and me and my family made a lot of noise but all the employees were nice about it and didnt seem to mind us playing. Overall great experience, and the only reason I wouldnt give this place a 5 star is because I want to see if Guitar Center is like this normally, which I should be able to find out since I will definitely be coming back for any of my musical needs.
Guitar Center has declined in quality over the years, but this is one of the worst I’ve been to.Staff are dismissive, sarcastic, and unhelpful. Wait times are long for everything. Overall a frustrating experience.Avoid this, and find a local music shop to support instead. GC won’t be around much longer anyway.
I purchased two different tube amps and couldn’t get anybody to help me. I approached Andrew, super friendly very knowledgeable. Just an outstanding sales rep .answered all my questions help me carry my Amplifiers out to my car. Could’ve been a better experience thanks to Andrew
Over all a good place for your music and audio needs
The staff is very supportive and have proper knowledge about the products
My usual local haunt. Ive spent hours in this store playing guitars, drums, mics and more. Theyve got great people helping as well.Got my guitar setup here and it works like a charm. The tech really listened to my requirements and set it up based on it.
Great staff and great store. You can try different instruments and play them for hours. The staff is pretty supportive, and never pressured me into buying anything even while i was trying it for hours. Over the period of time i have bought 4 instruments and like 3 different equipment from them. I plan to take my business to them whenever i plan to buy something, because they keep a lot of things on display and never turn people away from trying even expensive equipments.
I had very sad expirience. I paid for a dj controller and I get a used one missing the cables. To make a long story short I came out with nothing unfortunately. I am very surprised because guitar center is always good with customers. Oh well they could it make it better.
My experience with Guitar Center at 3677 Stevens Creek Blvd, Santa Clara was great 👍 Mark and Diego Ciceletti are an asset to Guitar Center and should be recognized for it. They are both very professional and excel in providing great service. I recommend Guitar Center on Stevens Creek Blvd, Santa Clara.
Friendly sales people great selection They are for music lessons too, Its a great place.
In my experience, Guitar Centers greatly vary in customer service and inventory. This one is one of the good ones in my opinion. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, the selection is pretty good, they have great acoustic guitar rooms that are quiet and relatively private to try out guitars and amps. There is a row of practice studios for lessons as well. I havent tried them but, the setup looks pretty nice.
The shopping experience is good, however the guitar repair service is so bad.I wanna restring my guitar and went to the repair desk, first time the guy told me he was full and I could come back next Tuesday.so I came back on next Tuesday, he gave me exactly same reply: he could not take any new service and told me come back next week. Then after a month(I had a vacation and busy work), I went to repair service the third time, and I got same reply.
Ive been shopping here several times with my boyfriend who plays all types of guitar. He was shopping for a Cordoba C9 Classical guitar and unfortunately they were all damaged at each location in South Bay. One had a pretty big nick in the body that was very glaring and the others had damage on their necks from being hung on the wall. If expensive guitars are going to be put on display, please teach your employees how to adjust the tightness of the holders so the guitars dont get damaged. Its sad to see.
Made an online order. They never said the item was a floor display. I get an email it is a floor display and do I still want it. I reply yes I want it. This was on a Friday. On Monday, they have cancelled my order because they say I did not reply to all in the message. I call to get that fixed and they have sold the item. They guy on the phone was very rude. A dumb experience. I have decided to stop shopping with Guitar Center. Their stores are just not good anymore and neither is their service. Good-Bye and I plan to spread the word.
Very slow, the store is capable of maybe two customers at the most. More than that, expect a long wait. The acoustic inventory only got maybe half left and no crew would want to help you find what you need.Even worse, services went sour after I told them I wanted to return a yamaha guitar ordered online and picked up from the same store 15 minutes ago. The guitar had bad electronics but the crew tried very hard to convince me the guitar was fine. One even claimed he can hear the sound effect that did not exist. What a shame. Will never use this store again.
Guitar center is a great place to choose an instrument, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
Great staff, great selections, really nice. Clean, organized, things are easy to find and the staff is incredibly helpful. Just went to pick up my guitar that I ordered online and the staff helped me take off the plastic and get it ready to go. Was in great condition upon opening, as well. They even helped me pick out a strap that would work better and they put it on my guitar for me. Overall wonderful experience, and would recommend.
Great collection of instruments and audio systems, including hardware and software.Customer service rep *Essenam* is outstanding.
Diego is an experienced technician that brought my electric guitars back to life. Hes a hell of a nice guy too :) Diego did a basic setup on my Les Paul and a complete rebuild of my 1982 Ibanez Blazer Series. I am very happy with both of them.
The store is a mess and ugly. They are out of stock of so many things and a lot of stuff doesnt have prices. I was told patch cables were one price and got to the register and they were almost DOUBLE what I was told. They are either severely understaffed or just kind of not attentive I waited for like 15 mins at the register and left once they bait and switched me on the prices of the patch cables. Just gonna buy them online from someone else.
Guitar centers prices and selection have suffered greatly during the pandemic. And before but....I still enjoy Guitar Center!
I go here to get all my strings, picks, and guitars. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, always providing me with the information I need. Their selection is vast, with all sorts of guitars, basses, drums, keyboards, and more. If I am looking for something, this is usually the first and last place I go as this store doesnt let me down.
Busy but helpful staff.
Great customer service at this location! Danny Flores helped me out in trading in my guitar for something better!
Customer service wasnt too bad there was high priced items but they were very well and very good. But they didnt have a very good selection between different types of support equipment.
The usual. Lots of inventory. But truth is, when I asked the Parts and Repair guy about a saddle for my acoustic guitar he didnt even blink and told me to just get one online. Someone should let him know that his value add is nil.
Great place to get all music supplies
You can test play lots of guitars in display. Friendly staffs with good service. Amazon cannot beat great customer experience in Guitar Center.
Great Customer Service. Theyre all so knowledgeable as well as amicable. Their manager Joaquin is an amazing dude! Down to earth and helpful for literally the noobest question youd have. I bought a 88 key weighted piano and Joaquin himself walked in with me to the parking lot to help me carry the heavy piano and put back in the car. Mind you, when I went there they were at their busiest and barely had time to interact but theyd still make you feel comfortable and not rush things in with the valuable musical piece youre trying to hold close to your heart. 10 Stars from me, certainly.
Went to other guitar center by my house in San jose..no one came and say hello or ask me for help..they had limited amount of dj boards ..so I went to Santa clara one..right away a employee ask me how iam doing and if I needed help ..short story I bought my denon prime 4, extended warranty ..Sean help me out and talk to me as friend not a salesman...thank you
Good customer service. But it seems the returned items are placed back on the shelves with out being properly bagged inside the boxes.🤔. This happened to me twice. Confidence?
Marco is fantastic, spent a lot of time making sure all my questions were answered and that I walked out happy. A+
Great selection of items but staff werent very welcoming
I love going to this place,Ive never been hasseled for playing drums or guitars plugged in...
Big store with a lot equipment to choose from. Also the sales guy helps us and explain to us how everything that we need works and he was very patience with us.
The staff seems to be less knowledgable and not so quick to demonstrate some products.
Omg GUITARS!! Great customer service! The cute asian girl in the drum section🤩 and the really kool guy at the guitar service desk👍👍👍
Friendly, helpful employees made it a great experience
Went to GC to pick up a new Orange Crush amplifier, nothing in stock, really 5-7 days delivery, went to Amazon and had it in 3 days.
Very friendly, helpful people ! Got to play a guitar I was considering through an amp I wanted to check out. You can spend a lot of time here having fun playing with their toys. And they had the cord/ adapter I came in for.
No complaints. Its my favorite place to shop with no pressure to buy (unlike the smaller shops).
Got a tuner for my guitar
The customer service was terrible at this guitar center location! I’m new to the guitar world. I had some questions about guitar quality and which guitars were good in my budget. Both the days I went, the staff was more inclined to sell me a guitar higher than that of my price range. Today, when I was simply asking questions to figure out which guitars were better suited, the staff member interrupted me and told me he had other customers to attend to. They seemed to care more about getting a higher sale, than to actually making the customer happy. Customer service like this could possibly discourage those who are new to playing (but, it didn’t discourage me).
I bought my very first guitar at this place just a few days ago! Its a Yamaha acoustic guitar. Its always been on my bucket list to get and learn how to play a guitar, so now Im going to have to learn how to play. My good friend Johnny helped me 2 pick one that would fit what I was looking for. Johnny is a music teacher and was able to give me some invaluable tips on what to look for. Also, I must send a+ shout out to the great staff who work there! There was so many different types of instruments, that I wanted to stay all day!! I had so much fun and I will definitely be going back!! If you are a professional musician or just a beginner like me this place is a musical Paradise!! A truly interesting and laid back atmosphere!!! P.S. I forgot to mention the staff are patient and very helpful in answering every single question. This is definitely one of my new favorite places to go!!
CALLED THERE TO GET THE PART, AND LEFT A MESSAGE IN PERSON TO REPAIR DEPT OF COURSE, THEY NEVER CALLED ME BACK AS TRADITIONAL LAZY AMERICANS BEHAVIOR
Nice clean .service good
I’ve given Guitar Center too much of my money to give them less than two stars, plus the selection at this store is better than most of the other nearby ones. The service can be really hit or miss making it either an incredible shopping experience or an incredibly frustrating one. My last two trips have been the latter which is a shame because I wanted to walk away with close to $2,000.00 worth of equipment and instruments that I’m just going to order online from somewhere else.Phil is the man and will take great care of you. Everyone else is just meh.
- knowledgeable and helpful sales people. Seek help when youre here.- wide collection of guitars
Excellent excellent excellent small variety of stuff you would think would be bigger but I enjoyed it each and every time I come over and check out their guitars and drums and keyboards and end up buying a pack of strings its the best
Maintains social distancing. Overall good experience.
Good place with friendly staff and a great collection of guitars. They have good safety measures for Covid-19. Good discounts and curbside pickup options are available. Ample parking at the location.
Liked the selection of instruments and the staff was very helpful.
Wow, I havent been in there since the early 90s. Great to see all the customers trying out the instruments. Took a minute for the staff to find my online order, but everything was sorted. There is the other place down the street and the other guitar place in SJ, but come here and check things out!
I give them at least 10 stars! Phil and his crew are doing an incredible job..customer service way beyond expected! Of the 3 stores in the South Valley, this is, by far, the best. So worth the waiting time...
We went for buying guitar and getting information about piano. No one attended us for 15 minutes. We went and asked a guy twice to come and help us. We liked one guitar and the sales person said that this piece came in 3 days back and its the only piece we have. Somehow I could not believe him and felt that he is not really interested in my interests and more into selling that particular piece of guitar. We did not buy it. That give this review 1 star. Then we went for info about piano. The store was going to close in 5 minutes but the salesperson was really giving all info we wanted, showing us various pieces, giving detailed info and suggestions. Thus the 3 more stars.
Very very very slow for everything (even the most basic triaging would make a very large improvement), and... strangely hostile to very simple flexibility.I had one (very slow) but pretty good experience, and when I went back because of that promising start, had one that was even slower and managed to set a new low bar for any store Ive ever visited.
This place went above and beyond. I bought an item for 120 and because of my mistake I sent it to the wrong store. they overnighted it for me so I could get it before I left town. given that they probably bought the item for 60 and paid 40 for overnight and cost of overhead Im pretty sure they made zero profit on this deal, if not lost money.amazing customer service. thanks guitar center!
Gitar gitar gitar step into my boudoir
Had to wait in long line just to pay for music sheets. They dont have a line just for checkout. Customer service and cashier is the same line. While customers need extensive help are fine waiting for their turn, those who just want to pay and leave must wait for a customer service agent to be free to pay.
Nice laid back environment. Not too busy
Everyone who helped me were very attentive and helpful.
I love Guitar Center! Great selection, quality instruments and knowledgeable employees for any level of musician.👌
I placed my order for curbside. Pickup and instead of waiting for the email like it said i went down there anyway and called from thw parking and the guy was super cool and helpful and even went and grabbed my stuff right then and brought it out to. Great customer service.
Many nice instruments!
Very helpful nice and professional!!!!
This guitar center is big!
Its a Guitar Center: they will very likely have what you need and have a wide selection BUT expect awful customer service from some of the reps there. The one guy who did help me was super nice and courteous but even just wanting to ask a question to someone here can be difficult to some. Id avoid this place if you can.
We were in a rush to record a tech demo, and Marco G (one of the employees) was extremely helpful in helping us figure out our audio setup and what wed need to buy in order to record it properly. Without him we probably wouldnt have been able to record it in time!
Perfect place for your music passion. They offer everything you might need from guitars, to drums, keyboards, banjos and music books. One of the largest music stores I have ever been.
I came here to get a couple reeds for my sons Tenor sax but couldnt find any. One of the workers advised me that alto & tenor reeds were the same size & that an alto reed would work on a tenor and vice-versa. I get home and went to test fit the reed & its a 1/2 too small! Thanks bro!!!
Mostly happy because the guy liked my yellow shoes. But they did a great job tuning and restringing my guitar.
In life I generally stay away from guitar stores. Too many experts and cool guys. Some dont let you just browse. Others crowd you while barely letting you try an instrument. This place was great for a number of reasons.1) Have a dedicated quiet demo room where theyll let you sit and play with no oversight or sales pitch2) Salesperson inquired about the music I like to play and the guitars I had been considering. Offered actual expert advice and suggested another guitar (Gibson J15) that had not been on my radar and was exactly what I wanted.3) No up-sell tactics AT ALL. I bought the guitar, a few picks, and a tuner. They didnt try to push anything on me.4) Gave 0% financing for two years. I was prepared to pay cash, but Ill usually take free money. Thanks for the nice experienced, Guitar Center.
Took my bass in for some MINOR ADJUSTMENTS, dude took two days and suggested my bass was flawed. It was weird because he got so close to making it perfect and just gave up. Watched some YouTube videos and end up just readjusting the action myself. Everything’s great now! Decent place to browse but I’ll never bring my instrument back here for any sort of repairs. I’d recommend another place.
10/10 would recommend
Great products, low staffing.
Walked in and no one was playing stairway to heaven
High prices, but its a rockers toy store. I could sit there all day, everyday
I like going into this guitar center for guitar repairs and other music related purchases. Staff is friendly and helpful. They have a nice section for lessons too.My car got broken into in their parking lot, but there were no valuables in the car. I wish the parking lot was better lit to prevent such incidents.
Mark the Manager in the Drum Department is outstanding. Always makes time for each customer
Great customer service. Knowledgeable staff. Very clean and organized.
Very big place for music lovers.....it is having a wide variety of every music. Instruments...100s of variety of guitar and Drum....keyboards...piano...DJ lights.....and many more offers are also running.....36 months finance no interest ...like this place so much. And surely will recomend to my friend and near and dear once if any thing related to music instruments they are searching for.Over very good.
Clean and the staff seemed nice. They were very helpful.
Julissa was knowledgeable and very helpful. I shop 90% online nowadays. Her customer service made my shopling indoor easy. Thank you.
Half of the inventory was gone in acoustics and there was no budget electric guitar that was worth testing. Is this store closing down permanently? A lot of stuff was disorganized and there were boxes in the floor. Only thing i enjoyed here was the ability to roam around the store freely unlike other GCs inthe area.
Good customer service..
Working with the General Manager Phil Winstead was great and he got me into the right guitar.
My kids love to go here. Good place to get supplies for your instruments as they have a large selection. I havent made any large purchases here to get a feel for the staff knowledge on their products.
Santa Clara store #222Marco G (#116349) was fantastic at representing Guitar Center and providing world class customer service. He was very patient and enthusiastic about the questions I had regarding pre-amp and mic and went into great depth and breadth around the topic, offering me range of options to choose from. He also provided me selection criteria and led me to form my own decisions for the things that I wanted to optimize for.I really enjoyed my experience shopping at Guitar Center mainly because of this outstanding customer service from Marco and would be a returning customer for buying more music related items.I want to thank Marco for giving me lots of useful information to get me started and also unblock me from the technical issue I was struggling with configuration of pre-amp.#TooGood.
They are always friendly and very helpful.
Brand new store. Friendly service and great selection
