I dont normally review, but my experience here was abysmal.Took them more than two weeks to reprint a simple order because the staff was not trained on how to use tabs and kept messing up the order. By contrast, a San Diego branch got a similar order finished perfectly in just one day.This branch, however, gave incorrect estimated deadlines for finishing the order, which they kept pushing back further and further without letting me know. What was supposed to take 4 days to reprint ended up taking 2 weeks, only for them to be unable to complete it at all in the end so they gave me a refund... Complete waste of my time.They are understaffed, and the staff they do have are untrained for certain copy&print orders. The manager Peter was rude and cut me off in the middle of my explanation of the problems with my initial order when I went in to the store. I understand, though, because all the employees seem like they are stressed (probably due to frustrated customers like myself) and couldnt care less about their jobs or producing quality work. How is your store revenue doing, guys? Hows employee morale been lately?From phone wait times, to customer service, to inaccurate deadlines, to untrained and stressed staff, and a generally indifferent attitude from employees, every aspect of my experience here was bad. This is a business stuck in a downward spiral, and I will go out of my way to avoid doing business here in the future.
First off, what an amazing store. I came in today for an office chair. Ended up leaving with one, full warranty (which actually saved me money), and assembly. Typically it takes 24-48 hours for your item(s) to be assembled. I explained that I am a student and that assembling it would save me time, however I was anxious to get it. I was able to come back within 2 hours of my purchase(completely unexpected).Nancy, who I’m assuming is the store manager, was nothing short of amazing. Her and the rest of the crew are really going the extra mile with their customer service. Seems simple, but as I was waiting in line, back to back customers had complaints about items, not wanting to listen to the warranty pitch (which trust me, no one ever wants to, but it’s mandatory for them), overall putting the employees in a difficult situation.Yes I get it people, they get paid to do so. But if you ask me or anyone else who’s worked in retail, no one get paid enough to have their days ruined over minuscule things and adults who want to act like children.That being said, It’s not easy to smile especially after the encounters before me. But these guys were awesome! Thanks again Nancy and Crew!
I came to this store last night for a cord for my tablet. I was met by a nice young man who helped me find the correct cord in a few minutes.The manager was also very nice and signed me up for the rewards program.
Shoutout to Nancy from the printing department! She was so patient with me and helped me take care of all my signage needs. During this time where small business are needing to pivot, Nancy really helped us by printing these waterproof curbside signs perfectly and with a quick turnaround time. Were grateful for our local Staples!

Ive been here in the past for copying/printing services, which was always great. Always amazing customer service and great people helping.I shopped around for a carpet protector mat for a desk chair and returned to this Staples to purchase my winning choice.I was called kiddo. No grown woman should be called kiddo ever. I dont know who helped me or why he thought it was ok to call me that.I cant promise I wont be back, but if I am, its for printing or as a last fn resort. Thanks to that one a**hat.
I was in a hurry to print some business cards last minute and I had the pleasure to speak with Hollanp (Staples in Santa Cruz) who was so kind and really helpful! She was able to get my order done before the time I had stated and she was so fast and easy to speak to. Staples is a somewhat odd place. The interior is rather drab and functional, but they generally have very good prices on their merchandise. I have bought several printers there in the past at great bargain prices. There are frequently many items on sale at substantial discounts. Great place to buy office and school supplies, printers, ink, etc... Just not fancy.
Calvin and his boss were super informative and very friendly, both greeted me in a professional matter and made sure I left with what I needed .
Good copy center.I have been going here off and on for 3 years; but nowhere near as much as I did in San Diego and North Hollywood so I cant fully attest to the the quality of the rest of the store but it seems okay. I was not overly impressed with it, as I have been with other Staples locations. Caveat emptor here.
I dont know why people are so sour... Ive been to this location four times, and three of the times were to return things--complicated returns involving electronics, lost credit cards and being overdue on the return policy. I was treated so nicely and with such respect. Great customer service, even if a little quirky sometimes. Seems like everyone went out of their way to make each of these experiences better.
I really love coming here because the price matching is right on even can be compared against anything that is sold directly by Amazon. Also the people that work here are very nice and do everything they can to help you. The only downside is they dont seem to really get enough people working there at a given time to really help everyone but if you are patient you will guaranteed get the help you need and find what you need. Dont forget to have the receipt with you when it comes to a return otherwise youre going to have issues because they have no way to bring up the amount of the item to refund without receipt.
Its good to actually have local resources staffed with people that can help. Ive been to this store 5 times in the last 3 months. Each time, it was clean, organized, they had what I needed, and the staff were helpful. Thanks!

Hi all, I went online to order a poster for an Army Retirement. It took a bit of time, mostly due to not really intuitive software, but I did get a poster I was happy with. Their website says pick up in store within 4 hours. I called my local store to be sure and their On hold recording stated service within 2 hours on online orders-Great! I later wondered about the cost to laminate the poster so I phoned the store and got Vincent in the copy Dept. Id say his attitude couldnt have been must worse. No interest in helping, sarcastic. Asked me what the size of the poster was and my email receipt did not show measurements so I asked him to look it up there as he had the order a few hours ago, he didnt seem to understand that and said the connection was bad, I cant hear you etc. I said, Ok..I was on a cell, so called back on the house phone. Same attitude, finally got a quote. $30, I passed. I then was asking when it would be done, he said 2 more hours. I said, Your recording says online orders out in 2 hours or less, he said, I dont know anything about that but this doesnt say rush, so.... I then asked for a store manager. He transferred me, I was on hold awhile and then someone picked up, he said, Store Manager. I said, hello Store manager do you have a name? He said Zack, what did you want. So all in all, I am not impressed at all. I wont use them again.
Impecably clean, organized store, many rich affordable items, Jeanette and other staff amazing, bright and informative. Happy for this to be our community Staples!

Nice people, but overpriced. Without product specialists, why does Staples exist? This is yet another in the line and long and growing list of brick-and-mortar retail establishments that has lost its raison dêtre. At this point I just come here to get sodastream refills.

After two calls with sub par customer service (I tried, oh I tried) I felt compelled to write a review. Either their tech people dont know their tech or dont care to assist customers. I called in inquiring on an item, shouldnt have taken more than a few minutes most to check for me, but the first time they put me on hold for over five minutes, the second time I called I made a point to let them know that I had been placed on hold for that long which led to more of the same and eventually getting my called disconnected. Ill just do Amazon.

I called to ask about labels, simple packing labels... I did not get a question about what would i like to use the labels for, or Maybe i have something for you today. The person on the phone had a poor attitude, and sounded relived when he could respond that they did not have labels, (water resistant)... I went to Amazon Prime, and ordered Avery® 2 x 4 White WeatherProof Shipping Labels in less time than i was on hold waiting to speak to the surly Staples store clerk. ( i have my labels, in two days or less, without paying a quarter for a back for my purchased items)Why shop a chain store in Santa Cruz CA, or shop any store in Santa Cruz CA??? Between the surly helpers, and having to pay for bags after making your purchase, it seems much simpler to go to Amazon Prime, order, and enjoy the time in Santa Cruz walking on the beach, or hiking in the Santa Cruz mountains.BTW: To the stores who do not charge the customer for a bag after a purchase i applaud you for taking a stand indicating to this consumer that you care about your customers, and are glad that we bring to you our business.NOTE: Its not bags that are making Santa Cruz litter problems a serious issue, its the needles left behind by the junkies!
In the copying center there is only one person working and there are 3 people waiting, when he arrives he immediately told me that the waiting time was more than one hour. There is not supposed to be any supervisor to help when there are a lot of people.

I went to Staples to purchase a clear report cover with a plastic bar for the binding edge, which I found in the binder section.
Worst customer service ever!! Went to buy a iPad and no one helped !!! Fire the store manager he was more worried about his copier than his customers!!
I live staples I get lost for hours looking at all the there tablets laptops printers pens pencils the list goes on... and on.
Messed up my business cards the first time. Second time they sold me garbage outdoor vinyl banner, ink smeared... told me to take it back and they will destroy it and refund me. Not happy.
