Incredible seamstresses! Everything is always done correctly and on time. They always make sure you’re happy with your clothing before you walk away with it and if you want to make any changes they are happy to do so.Alterations and More hemmed my gown for the Miss New Mexico USA competition and it fit me like a glove. I trust them fully with anything I need altered and they will always advise if they recommend not to hem something.

I dropped off a pile of clothes at Alterations & More in July 2021 as I have done numerous times before. I had about 9 pieces total which came to $160.49. Laura Hermosillo marked my clothes as I tried them on & stood in front of mirror on raised platform. A couple of my pieces were tunics that I wanted to shorten so that I could wear tucked in as a shirt. I communicated this and she marked them. These tops were a stretchy fabric. She obviously pulled fabric too tightly & ended up making them midi-tops. I am 56 and while fit - I dont wear tops that teenagers wear. Why would she have done that & thought ok??I picked them up and because of timing I decided to try them at home instead. She said you have 7 days to get back to me and I said thank you very much and left. After discovering problem at home with these 2 pieces, I called her to explain situation. She immediately took a DEFENSIVE position with me - insisting that I, the CUSTOMER, WAS WRONG because I saw her measuring & marking. I wish I had eyes in the back of my head but no so! So I trusted her expertise and now she is completely arguing with me that she did her job & it was my fault with no room for discussion. It could have been easily resolved however Laura REFUSED REFUND OR CREDIT - end of story. I was shocked since the 2 individual garment pieces only totaled $28. I thought I would just opt for credit & be done. It wasnt the end of the world and figured I would donate the tops since I could not wear them any longer. Wow - that was revealing of her true colors & business practices. I was so disappointed that I will NO LONGER BE PATRONIZING OR REFERRING PEOPLE TO ALTERATIONS AND MORE. I said thanks for nothing, hung up phone & left my tops behind. Was it just a bad day & I was her whipping post?? Hmmmmm.... Adios Laura!

I cant share enough how much I appreciate the professionalism and help that Laura and her team at Alterations & More did for me. My pants that I had hemmed elsewhere, were done so poorly. And who likes to do fix other peoples bad work? No one. But, Laura did. Laura stepped up and re-hemmed my jeans and pleated pants (that were scissored across poorly in a zig-zag instead of straight) and then she even offered to re-hem the jeans that I had on that were also badly done by the previous seamstress. 3 pants re-hemmed that I can now wear confidently. Most recently, the shop replaced a belt buckle on my beloved fanny pack that I couldnt use for months, if not for over a year. It was done great, within a week and I am thrilled. Will be using Alterations & More forever. Two big thumbs up!

Alterations & More is top notch! The ladies here are very kind and they always get it right. They handle complicated tasks with ease. They are trust worthy and lovely people. My family and I have been going here throughout the years.

Fast, friendly service and great work. I’ve gotten pants hemmed for about $16 each and I also got a pair of pants completely refitted- that was about $70 but completely worth it because they turned out incredible. Alterations & more is super reliable!

Above and beyond service at very reasonable prices. I took my bridesmaid dress here to be fitted, and not only did she do an excellent job with the tailoring, she was even able to cut and hem some leftover fabric into a lovely matching headscarf for me just as Id asked. Ill be going here any time I need anything altered and recommend the same to anyone else!

Incredibly expensive. They charged me 70$ to hem my bridesmaid dress, only needed about an inch off. And you have to pay upfront. When I asked them why it was so much to literally just cut off material they said it was because of all the layers. The dress had two layers- one of which was just tulle that was a raw edge cut. If the dress costs 100$ it shouldnt cost 70$ to remove material. Ridiculous.The only thing good was they were quick (done in 2 days).

Professional service! You may pay a little more, but the work is good quality. I took something here a couple years ago that was almost ruined by another tailor, and they fixed it perfectly (invisible hem!). Recently got another pair hemmed that were not so jnvisible but still good. They wear masks during COVID and have a giant plexi-glass screen between you and them. It is very refreshing to see how they take the crisis seriously while continuing to give good service. Lastly, they text you when your item is ready. Very convenient.

This is a great tailor-and she makes the best cloth masks; I get the ones that have filter pockets and are adjustable! And she will not help you unless you are wearing a mask-but will sell you a disposable one if you forgot yours.

The staff was really polite and seemed to want to do a good job. I brought in a mens suit jacket to get fitted (with the man who will be wearing it). I was disappointed that it had to be re-done three times for the same seam. It still looks a bit wavy/not fitted. Most times the jacket was done on time, but the last time it was not ready when we were told it would be. We waited as the garment was being finished, resulting in a very bunched up middle seam on the lining. The third time it was re-done we were charged the full price for a new project, instead of being charged as a re-do. The tags were also attached with a metal staple near the lapel, which resulted in a noticeable snag on the front of the jacket. Suit pants were hemmed well. Overall, I was expecting much higher quality based on the previous reviews.Edit: We are finding more problems with the finishing of the suit. The seam isnt straight, its bunched even on the outside near the collar. It seems theres also fabric tape that causes the bottom hem of the suit to wrinkle when pressed. I am so disappointed with the work.I also tried to upload photos, to show the problems Im referring to, but they never show up.

I just got my clothes back and I am extremely satisfied that I got my money’s worth + more! My clothes look so much better on me now that they fit thanks to these lovely people. I will definitely be going back with more items so they can help me look even more awesome.

Their work is great quality! I was a little surprised at the price at first but after seeing the finished product, Im convinced its worth. (I had a pair of jeans taken in at the waist)

Weve had shirts, dresses, and pants altered here. They always do a great job and have very fast turn around. The only place in Santa fe we use for our alteration needs

Im short, so all my pants (and even my shorts) need to be shortened. Every pair of pants and shorts look store bought when I pick them up. I also wear a denim jacket or a denim vest when I ride my motorcycle and the patches always look great. Very nice people, very good service. Too bad I cant rate them with 6 stars.

They are the best. We needed a dress altered for my wife and it was done quickly and professionally. I dont remember the name of the owner but she is very sweet, helpful and professional! Highly recommended.

She totally knows her business. Ive never been disappointed in her work. She always has the item ready and pressed when she said it would be. I can sew--sometimes I just dont have the time to do it--and her work is completely professional. NOTE: shes across from where Siler Rd. comes into Cerrillos. There is always parking, too!

Results not so great. Would prefer to talk to the person actually doing the sewing, but I never met them. I had some curtains hemmed and something was lost in translation because theyre too short and the hem is not what I asked for. Also, they put labels on with staples which I then had to remove.

I broke a zipper on my super favorite pillow pillow case. Did not want the expense of buying a new one so I brought the pillow case here--SUPER friendly fast courteous service... and in a few days EVERYTHING was a-ok again. While waiting to pick it up..the customers keep pouring in...and like me...they were really pleased with the job done well. Very REASONAL PROFESSIONAL SERVICE. I will get all sewing related work done here. 😎👍👌

I had to get measurements taken for a friends wedding coming up, and I received prompt service, accurate measurements, and great service. I even had to come back in a few minutes afterwards, and they clarified things with no problem.

...work was good and acceptable time in doing so...price was another thing though ... 2 pieces with velco already pinned to location... 30 inches of velco to be exact...was charged almost $2 per inch ... I thought was excessive .........

Way over priced and they want you to pay the Visa fees......pass on this place

The blouse was tagged $40 but I was charged $50..The person spoke broken English and told me there were taxes...I wanted it for my Mother because it came from Mexico and God knows when we can have these Beautiful things since times are this way.
