A beautiful store with a huge inventory. Friendly staff as well!
I called the store to check on the Bernina sewing machine I saw on their website for sale. The sales person knew nothing about it then told me the store had the same machine on sale but it was a higher price and it was a floor model. She acted like the sales price on their website was not real.It made me mad and I thought she was totally unprofessional in her responses to me. After reading the reviews on this store I am not going to buy anything from them. They need to get their act together and start treating customers better.
If I could give a zero I would have. I originally took my machine in for a repair in July, was not ready until 12/16/2020. I was helped by Barbara the problem with the machine sewing backwards when turned on was clearly written on the work order. When I was called to pick up the machine 7/20/20 I paid $180 for the servicing, how ever the machine was still sewing backwards. so I came immediately back with the machine. I was not offered to test the machine while I was there to insure the machine was properly repaired.Long story short, I called about a month later and nothing further had been repaired on my machine. When I finally got an estimate I was told that 2 parts about $15 each were needed. When that did not correct the problem I was told I needed a circuit or mother board that would be about $50. When I came to pick up I was being charged $310 for all the repairs when I already paid $180.00. So I had to leave the machine there. I was not told I would be another labor charge. The machine did not cost much more then $500, so why would I have agreed to pay a total of $500 in repairs. Basically I am being charged $180 twice for service and I have my receipt in hand for the first charge. Was my machine even serviced in July? Also I was told several times my parts were on back order and that is why it was taking so long, however after an investigation, a more likely explanation for delay in getting the parts needed is because Santa Maria Sewing superstore likely has outstanding invoices that needed to be paid before Babylock would send them anything.Thank you, Michelle
Great experience. Enjoyed being helped by the very knowledgable and customer friendly Linda.
I am a sewing novice and my sewing machine is a humble one. I took my sewing machine in because I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it and I thought maybe it needed to be serviced. The staff took a look at my machine to assess what the problem was. Turned out to be a very easy fix and I was on my way! Because of their honesty and great customer service they have my business for life. Thank you!
Great people. Broad selection, knowledgeable staff.
I went to get info about the services that they have for the public. I received a good and friendly service.
Very nice people, the customer service was amazing! I’m so glad to find a good repair shop and when the time comes I would definitely by a machine from them. Thank You
Took in my older machine for service and they were quick, courteous and are also ordering me some new bobbins. There are not to many true stores that service and sell machines like this place anymore, and I see why they will stick around with such nice staff and many options from budget conscious reconditioned machines to machines in the many thousands that embroider and quilt.
Took machine in to be repaired, They said would be ready in a week. Called and said not ready, After 2 weeks went in just to pick up because no one had called or given us an estimate. They couldn’t find it for 30 minutes and then told us the cost. Gave us some really stupid excuses for not calling with estimate or that it was ready. Very poorly run.
The people are extremely knowledgeable friendly and helpful. I have been doing business with them for 10 years and havent been disappointed yet. Nice to have people who still care about their work and customers.
I purchased exactly what I needed, thanks to very helpful staff
Great buys on new and pre-owned sewing machines. Sewing furniture and lots of crafting goodies.
Owner was great help and got a great deal, for my mom
I spent nearly $300 to have my Designer SE embroidery repaired - my laptop and machine werent communicating, I told them the port for the cable needed replacing. After getting my machine back, I discovered it wasnt fixed. I was told I didnt really need to connect the laptop and machine, because the thumb drive was an easier solution to downloading the image. Needless to say - I wanted the port, because I prefer to work directly from the computer. The part was ordered in August. We have called back numerous times only to get put off because the person ordering is not available, the repairman isnt available, etc. I have been assured that someone would get back to me, but no one has, I have to continue to make the calls myself. I also asked about fixing the cutting knife, I just wanted to know where it goes, so I can put it in without having to take the machine back to the store, every time it jams and comes out. Instead of a simple solution of showing me where to put it, I was instructed to bring the machine back, and they would do it. I like to sew late in the evening, and would like to know how to do simple fixes, if the situation arises.I have dumped a lot of money in that store, and on my machine, and there is no feeling of satisfaction in the customer service department. At first I was happy with the customer relations and was glad there was a store that I could go to if I needed something, but now Im not so happy, and feel cheated.
Purchased a sewing machine from Jorge yesterday great service Barber was also very helpful went back to Dave with a few questions and Jorge was very helpful
Where to begin... gave them my serger machine to change repair/replace two parts and was given an estimated two weeks for it to be finished. One month later, heard nothing from them so I called them only to be told my parts have been ordered and they were waiting on them. ANOTHER month goes by and didn’t hear back from them so I had to call them back myself, to which they responded that they had no idea what’s taking them so long and that the person in charge of ordering the items wasn’t in at the moment. Waited one more month (3 months now) didn’t hear from them (surprise surprise) then the lady tells me that they couldn’t find the parts, and that it would probably better to pick up my machine and see if I can fix it myself. So yeah went to pick up my machine and she had the audacity to say, oh the parts are ordered and it should be coming in... yeah lady, I’ve heard that before!Seriously though, you guys need to figure it out and have better communication skills with your customers and update them if there were problems. Hated the service there!
