Walked in to Tacti-Cool for the first time looking for a rifle that was hard to find. Owner and staff was always friendly. Owner took the time to find rifle, which may be the last one available and got it for me. No jack up on the price and made all the paperwork easy. Couldnt ask for better customer service. Its tough getting any type of arms or ammo in this state, but they got it done. Thanks again.
The Tacti-Cool staff has always provided me with very good customer service. Theyve installed sights in my pistols when no other gun shop would even try. Theyve been patient with my questions and have given lots of advice in regards to my shooting. This has greatly increased my proficiency at the range. Ive watched then work with other customers and have noted a polite attitude, even with newbies.Although there are gun shops closer to where I live, I prefer to go here.
I walked into tactical thinking cool Im going to get all the parts that I need and everything is going to be here but it wasnt they had no AR parts the shelves are pretty much empty not too excited about what I seen but I placed an order anyways after placing my order the first week goes by I called them to see if it was in he said they didnt know when it was going to get it in I called a week later week 2 I asked the guy a quick question said how long does it usually take to get parts to you he said it usually depends on the dealer they dont ship them out until we get enough ordered so now I have to wait to see when my stuff will come in store credit to joke no cash turns the owner is a jerk hes good at Short talk but all the way around I will never order anything from here again I spent $500 was going to spend 2000 but I will find somewhere else if anybody else had this problem comment on my review and let me know where you went after this place cuz they suck workers were pretty nice owner was a jerk politely speaking
Im not from California and only working here. I also understand you are under communist rule when it comes to guns. As for my experience I got to say Tacticool is a sad little shop with not much to offer but the guys have all been very nice and helpful. The reason for 3 stars is because I wanted new sights put on a hand gun and they were going to charge me a minimum of $45 bucks, hourly rate. I could do it in 15 minutes at home with a sight press and just feels like Im being gouged.I would still recommend them but wont use them as a gunsmith.
All of the negative reviews I can only imagine are from people with little knowledge of business and/or firearms. I visited the store yesterday to pick up some parts to complete some changes to one of my ARs and they were most helpful. I was able to pick up the parts I need as well as get some clarification on some of the parts I already had with regard to the new laws. This was not the first time I had been to the shop and while the inventory was seemed low there seems to be a normal cycle of inventory arriving. Anybody who is disappointed with what is in inventory also needs to do some shopping around, everybody has low inventory even the online retailers, most shops dont have immediate restocking of inventory sold and are at the mercy of suppliers for replenishing stock. Additionally due to all the new regulations in this great state if I were in the firearms business I would definitely err on the side of caution, there are too many people who rather continue to be incorrect over inconvenienced.
Eh... not very impressed, people were nice enough just not enough inventory. Not enough related items or accessories to look at. Personally I was out the door in 10 minutes but that’s my own humble opinion.Check things out for yourself.
I call them for info these dudes are always polite and respectful. Ill be going in to buy my rifle soon really helpful staff.
To be honest great help from employees I am new to cleaning my pistols and they helped me out with what cleaning products to buy and tips on how do it. Best place to ask questions and friendly place to go
I went by there and asked them about my 300 blackout rifle I had put together. I was having problems with the rifle not chambering the next round after firing the round in the chamber.Joe was super helpful and friendly, he asked some questions, and gave my rifle a look and put some grease on the bolt and the inside of the upper. He took it into the indoor range and tested it. It worked perfectly! He refused to take any payment for his efforts but suggested I could purchase something instead. I bought 3 boxes of ammo and left a happy man.I felt the level of customer service at Tacticool was the best Ive seen at any gun store. Though I dont live nearby, I look forward to doing more business with these guys.
I think the owner has me in mind. I didnt have an idea what I wanted. When I asked questions I was told that I should do my own research, that he could show me guns all day and it wouldnt help. At that point I nodded my head, thanked him and realized that I was at the wrong place. I did make my purchase at another gun shop and had a Merry Christmas.
I stood at the gate while 2 guys went over paperwork like it was voter registration day just 2 ft in front of me, then watched them walk all the way to the back while another customer was getting trigger finger lessons. As a former Army Ranger, I was patient but after 5 mins and not getting buzzed in I wasnt I the mood to give them 5-900.00. Poor service.
Very knowledgable staff. Always very polite every time I purchase a firearm or go in to use there range. Good job guys!!
These guys are ass holes straight up, Id give no stars if I could. Every single person Ive talked to about this shop says nothing but bad things. My friend and I are trying to acquire gun parts and they have just been nothing but rude for the most part and has pushed me to the point of writing a review. You would think they would appreciate the business, but aparently not. I really dont know what their problem is. It would be awesome to have a gun shop like this with people that have better attitudes.
Some of the worst customer experience you will ever have. They look down on customers. Think they know everything when just a quick google can prove most of what they say to be false. Do not go here. They dont have much of a selection, their prices suck and they treat customers like garbage.
Low level of knowledge of firearms. Prices are ridiculous, even by California standards (out of state I see AR lowers go for as low as $80, average of $110 in Cali, they want $160). All their custom work I was told was sent off to a third party. When I asked why I shouldnt just send it off myself to avoid paying them a fee, guy lied to me and said because I had to he an FFL to send off my own firearms. So staff has little knowledge in the few guns they have behind the counter, little knowledge in ATF regulations, ammo is almost always out of stock and over priced. Not a bad place to get ear pro or targets though, or to look at their decommissioned military gear.
I have been very impressed with the shops new ownership over the past few years. I purchase frequently from TactiCool and am very happy with all our guns and accessories. A knowledgeable staff that are passionate about firearms and firearms instruction, an excellent selection of quality merchandise, and a staff who is willing to say No when they do not feel the gun is being sold to a responsible owner.I appreciate the fact that this shop isnt interested solely in profit, but values the safety of our community and citizens above money. I did read a few negative reviews and I have witnessed a customer who didnt appear very responsible, receiving a very polite No we will not sell to you. Frankly that is exactly the kind of staff I want running our local gun shop.Even if you dont purchase a thing, the shop has a great atmosphere and I have noticed that many customers enjoy hanging out for a bit, as the staff is pretty fun to be around. I would highly recommend TactiCool for new and experienced gun owners.
NOT Tacti-Cool who whats to buy ARs that are .22 Give Americans what they want.
Great team working the front: theyre great communicators, knowledgeable, large selection, & have great recommendations. I will recommend this location to my friends!!
The guys were very helpful and informative. Had a great first experience, and will definitely be returning!
Having very little experience with firearms of any kind, Tacti-Cool Guns and Gear, Inc. is a great place to start and learn more about the current CA laws and regulations as well as gun safety training in a female friendly environment. They have the only indoor range for thirty plus miles from where I live. The convenience of having a location to practice is a huge benefit in order to gain confidence and familiarity with a variety of firearms. Additionally, their staff is knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and willing to answer all my questions and help me understand They have a huge variety of firearms available for sale and are able to order just about anything you would want in a reasonable time frame. As a regular customer, I have seen them negotiate unruly customers. The staff is willing to do all they can to satisfy their customer’s needs all the while acting in a respectful, calm and patient manner. I would recommend Tacti-Cool Guns and Gear, Inc. to anyone looking for persons with an extensive knowledge of the firearms industry. This is a great local business with a wide selection of firearms for purchase and a terrific place to practice and train.
I was kind of hesitant going here after reading some of these outlandish reviews, goes to show tou cant take everything you read as gospel truth. Bought a firearm and the process was easy and mellow. Employees here are helpful and knowledgable, and Id definitely return and support this business.
Very detailed training class, good hands on instruction and it was very engaging...4 hrs with target practice
Excellent education and customer service. Friendly knowledgeable staff.
Its ok. Got our first fire arm there. But would not go back again.
Dudes that work there are most disrespectful to veterans, theyre trigger happy, make threats to customers, they over price what they dont have and the people who work their have a serious lack of knowledge when it comes to firearms. I wouldnt recommend this gun store or indoor range to anyone with even the slightest bit of intelligence.
Brain joe duane is top notch always been respectful and way fair on prices and always willing to help me and my wife u stay classy tactical
I’ve been to Tacti-Cool a hand full of times to do person to person transfers or to buy some random item I needed. Every single time I was greeted with kindness and respect. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. If they didn’t have the item I needed in stock they would get it for me in a matter of days. I’ve also taken my sons just to go “look” and every question they had, no matter how simple or video gamey the question was they answered it with the upmost professionalism. Most people would have ignored them or rolled their eyes at them. They made the whole experience enjoyable for me and my boys. I will most defiantly refer this place to all my friends and family.
These guys are very helpful and work hard. We love this place!
Good custemor service every time I go.
Always fair, informed, helpful service for me. Id wager that the negative reviews are from folks that come in ill-informed and with pre-existing negative attitudes.
I recently purchased a Kel-Tec KSG from Tacti-Cool and couldt be happier. The customer service was outstanding, and the shipping time was amazingly fast. I havent been into the shop due to living in Florida, but I have known the owner for years. He is passionate about firearms, is deeply honest, and is all around a GREAT person! So visit the shop, the guys will take care of you. I only wish the shop was in my hometown. I would be broke and they would never get rid of me.
Horrible place. The only two times Ive been there I have gotten the same snobby condescending attitude from them. Went in to ask about AK 74 mags and they proceeded to talk down to me correcting me that I meant the AK 47 as if I had no clue what I was talking about. In all, lack of knowledge about firearms, high prices, and most of all. Terrible attitudes towards customers who come in.Tacticool is used as an insult to those who dont know anything and get a lot ridiculous gear for no apparent reason just to look legit. This name fits the store. My advice? Drive the extra distance to somewhere with a competent staff that dont talk down to you.
The customer service is the worst ive ever seen. some guy that kept bragging that he is a ex police officer spoke down to me and one other customer like we were children. he had no seance of hummer and no manners. when i asked to buy a rifle he said your a inbred retard and you have no right to own a gun. see that sign we reserve the right to refuse service. not to mention all the prices were so high that a plain poor condition mosin nagant was set at $160. this store is full of thieves and assumptive jerks.p.s. mosin nagants are normally set at $90 to $110.
This place is full of bad attitude. Very disrespectful to customers
Condescending, impatient prick is the best discription I can come up with
Gun store. And great service.
Lots of products with a knowledgeable staff.
Rude people kept watching me while I was browsing around and I wasnt only customer there asked couple questions and had attitude
Staff was extremely rude, insulted my wife (law-enforcement) on how to handle a weapon as if she had never handled before - rented weapons were dirty, jammed several times and it cost $50+ just for a rental w/target and ammo
Good
