Do not come to the pharmacy, this is the worst Walgreens - every time even when my prescription is ready I have had to wait 30 plus minutes in line to even talk to someone.
Brandon the pharmacist is very incompetent. This Walgreens should be shut down if he continues to manage the pharmacy. They cannot keep medications in and are very rude to customers.Trust your life and medications elsewhere. Went to a different Walgreens and never had a problem for 20 years.
One of the most awesome, caring Walgreens Ive been to in LA!
Great customer service . Every person that works in the pharmacy, the manager and all the employees in that department, are so helpful, knowledgeable & kind. I appreciate them immensely, especially during these scary and challenging times.Plus, Walgreens always seems to have everything I need!
No complaints from me. This is my neighborhood pharmacy and I have never had anything but professional service for the 3 years I have lived here. They fill prescriptions regularly for my elderly parents with ease and are always helpful when I have questions.
This is one of the best Walgreens that I have ever shopped at. The pharmacist and the pharmacy technicians and everybody that works here at this store are very nice people. They certainly could use some help but they do their best. The pharmacists are very knowledgeable and they are very good with their clients. This is absolutely the best Walgreens in Santa Monica.
Originally did not have a good experience here about a month or so ago, but have had a really good experience the last couple of weeks! Shauna (always has the best eyeliner) is the best pharmacist ever and is always willing to work with customers to make sure they get what they need in a timely manner. Also, she is able to help out both QUICKLY and KINDLY (Ive gone to the pharmacy only at peak times - lunchtime & rush hour), even when some of my prescriptions had confusing insurance stipulations, she did a fantastic job calculating what quantity I could get in order to save both time and money.A month and a half back, another pharmacist made me wait an hour and a half (even had to wait when nobody was there) bc I had just moved there and was new to just this location (been a Walgreens customer for about 10 years so really there was no excuse for this service given all my prior history IS in the system). Anyways, this pharmacy now operates super smoothly and I am so glad whatever changes they made (pharmacy staff or otherwise) is really working out! Psyched now that this can be my permanent pharmacy.
They LOST my prescription. How do you lose an electronically delivered prescription? It’s really an achievement, I suppose.
Rude n impolite cashier. Store has all makeup locked up so u have to wait for an employee to unlock it which took about 15 mins to find someone to assist me with that.
The guy in photo department is rude I bought a portable battery I at to return it twice he game me a attitude because I was returning it saying they don’t sell it it has this address on the receipt he needs to be retrained and he’s supposedly a manager no common sense.
The pharmacy was an absolute joke! I came to pick up my prescription, and the woman behind the counter just ignored me for a good 5 minutes talking on the phone and using the computer. While I do believe this phone call was business related, she could have acknowledged my presence. By the time she finally asked if she could help me, a line of 4 people had formed behind me. Finally she goes to retrieve my medication, but of course mid-way through she drops everything and answers the phone. This is followed by her getting on the computer and doing some other type of work for a few minutes. Also, I had previously waited 90 mins for my prescription to be filled... And by the time the woman helping me had finished her computer session, It still wasnt ready. Once they saw I was getting irritated, and other customers were getting irritated, they frantically rushed to get it prepared. So itll be interesting to see if they even gave me the proper medication.I will never be coming back here! An incredibly unprofessional joke!
I could not believe how rude the older male cashier was to us. If he is that unhappy in his job he needs to get out of customer service! Didn’t make eye contact, never smiled, very unfriendly. I won’t be back.
This is the worst pharmacy Ive ever been to...the pharmacist and the staff members are rude despite the fact their wait time is so long! I would not return here if it was the last pharmacy in LA and I strongly suggest you take your business elsewhere, dont waste your time!
DO NOT GO TO THIS PHARMACY!!! The pharmacist, 2 ladies to be exact who work on Thursdays, are SOOOOOO RUDE!! Poor customer service to say the least! I had surgery, she acts like she knows better than my doctor! In front of others she told me that I should not be on the medication anymore. Told me that I had to call the doctor because she wasnt going to sit on the phone. I literally had to WALK to my doctors office to have him fax my medical records. HORRIBLE TO SAY THE LEAST
Highly organized and detailed. Great staff. Love coming here because units are always in stock!
Pharmacy has a line of 3 or more almost every time, day or night and usually only one of the three registers open. Demand would justify more staff imo. Also, if they did a number system in line would allow one to shop while waiting, win win.
Horrible communication from their pharmacy. My doctor called in a prescription for me over a week before I needed to pick it up. I was never contacted by Walgreens so I called them to make sure it was ready for pick up. After being put on hold 3 times (having to state why I was calling each time), I was told they were having a problem verifying the info they needed to fill it from my doctor. Someone could have informed me of this so I could make other arrangements. Instead I was left in a bind.
Decent for a Walgreens. Usual normal stuff!
Picking up anything from the pharmacy here is truly hell on Earth.
There is always incredible waiting time at the pharmacy. I wonder how they can be that bad organized. DefIntely need more personnel and they seem to work so slow.
Terrible company! I cannot understand how they can even practice. They take up half a day from your life, from your doctors life and 3 days later they still do not know what they are doing. I have had fever 3 days now and other severe stuff requiring medication and they rather that I die it looks like. We are now day number 4 and I still cannot even get them on the phone. Once I do they will recite the same idiocy: Oh....we do not know......oh....what? we do not know.....blah...blah...
This is the most unprofessional pharmacy I have ever been to. I have tried coming here one Saturday a month for the past 6 months to pick my meds up because it is so conveniently located next to my apartment. Every time I come here—the line wraps back behind the frozen food section, and a group of angry people waiting for prescriptions to be filled. Every time I try to pick up, I have to wait for them to fill the order, after receiving both text and email not less than 24 hours prior saying it was ready. On a Saturday afternoon they have their only pharmacists giving flu shoots instead of supervising the counter and no one can pick up theirs meds.I would give this place zero stars if I could and think that the Santa Monica medical regulating body should criminally investigate as to whether this pharmacy is in violation of local state and federal staffing requirements.
I believe that Walgreens business model is to provide inadequate staffing, ineffective online support and that customers will put up with a great deal. There have been several times where trying to solve one problem takes numerous calls, perhaps a direct visit, and sometimes standing in line for half an hour.Today, was the last straw. They had given me a co-pay figure on Monday that tripled three days later. That could only happen with a mis-diagnosis. If someone had bothered to tell me we needed to renew a prior authorization, all of this could have been avoided if the person I reached had any motivation to look. Two hours - one problem. That is the norm with this Walgreens location.
Walgreens seems to have a better selection than CVS or Right Aide and shorter lines. This location has underground parking, but not the most convenient -- escalator only goes one way.
I bought what I needed and it was evening. Staff were helpful.
I have been a satisfied walgreens customer for about 10 years but this was the single worst pharmacy experience Ive ever had. I waited at the front of the line for 20minutes before the guy even offered to help. Eventually he looked up my order only to tell me they couldnt process it (didnt say this when I dropped it off, or email or call me at any point). They couldnt fill because its too soon. I had to convince him to even look at my last perscription and oh... I guess the amount is wrong So I should be able to fill it but I cant. His solution is that i should call my doctor and have them change it....on a Sunday. I asked to speak with the pharmacist for a more detailed explanation and he just flat out said no. I completely understand if there are regulations in the way of filling the prescription but you dont need to be a dick about it. I will never go back to this walgreens and I hope for the sake of their customers that this gentleman is fired or relocated ASAP.
Not a bad drugstore, but service is seriously lacking. Long lines at the pharmacy!
They constantly say that medication is ready when it is not. Arrive when they claim it is ready to find out I have to then come back a few days later ALSO I will drop off a script, they say it will be ready in 15-30 mins...I wait...to only find out that I have to come back again. You guys get your stuff straight, you are horrible.
Apparently this Walgreens does not open until 8 am on Tuesdays, but theyre listed as 24 hours. Confusing!
IM INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE PHARMACISTS ONLY GIVING ME THE MEDICATION THAT WAS PRESCRIBED TO ME. IM ONLY GIVING 4 STARS BECAUSE OF THE DUDE IN THE ALLEY.
Very slow service. Poor organization
I should have read the reviews before I called. I waited on the phone for more than 30 minutes and nobody answered. Such a dissapointment because I like walgreens.
Inept and rude pharmacy staff
The pharmacy is a joke.
Slow service without a smile
Long waiting.
