Cool store with everything you need. El Homie certified locations $99..*****
Surprised 😮 to see a 99cents store only as clean and well displayed as that!! Now they dont carry the canned coconut water but I got out with a premium honey and a magnificent pineapple!Small detail to for: the parking is small, only for a dozen of cars, and has only one direction to enter.
Great customer service the cashier josefina was really nice and help me.I was help and also very friendly smile by Luz, Manuela, Rosario, And Elena. Thank you really friendly help me find what I was looking for. Great place to shop great prices...
Aisles too close to feel safe. Produce was so so. Clerks were good. Go to a larger store.
It wasnt too crowded. There were 3 people in line ahead of me. They still sell single rolls of paper towels which made me very happy. (They no longer sell four packs of toilet paper. For almost the same price for tp, I prefer Trader Joes, down the street.).I also found a face makeup color corrector in light purple. I wanted to buy a second one because I figured they run out and dont reorder for lots of things.Recently I found dry milk there but in two subsequent visits, they havent had any. The tomato paste is a great deal too.
The sign says 99 cents only store so I believe everything should be 99 cents only thats just my opion. I love the store
They are a good bargain with many brand name items and lots of hidden gems. Wouldve given them 5 stars but their recent price gouging and limits on goods makes me less a fan.
Good customer service . Clean inside store.
Super compared to Superior court. I found my favorite... C type phone 10 foot braided wire charger $3.99 #awesomefinededed 😜😂👌😃 @99centstores
Very small...not like other 99cents stores with more selections.
Very good Customer Service, honors digital coupons, and have reasonable prices.
0rganic strawberries and eye drops for 99 cents!Starbucks vanilla iced coffee QUART for $2!
Wonderful place to shop and the area is beautiful place.
This particular location has things others dont. I passed two other 99¢ stores to come here
I give this one a five star. I love how its a little 99 cent store just ten blocks or so from school (SMC), all the employees have always been kind and Ive never actually had any bad experiences here. The only real concern I have is assortment of parking spots. I think the exit and the entrance are put in a difficult manner for people to enter or exit. I would not have the separate entrance and exit, and instead have one wide entrance that people can enter on the right side into the lot and exit on the left side for leaving. Instead of where the mini gated barrier trash can is by the current entrance, I would make those parking spots up to the wall, and the whole front wall of 99¢ store from entering this ideal parking lot entrance straight in would make it easier to pull in and park. I understand it would cost a small $$ to remodel their mini lot, but if I could speak to the owner I would like to show a drawn blueprint of this idea and who knows, maybe it could work out.
Its a hit and miss, but I love this store.you can get 100 benedryl tablets for $1.99 for example or make up wipes that are $5 elsewhere for 99cents.its a great store but you need to be willing to dig abit, but you can save alot of money if you do.another example I paid $7 on amazon for a ear swab holder but at 99 cent store,it was a dollar
I love this store. Employees are always friendly and keep socially distant. Its clean and well stocked.
The products (and the stockers) are so hit and miss, but always a happy shopping experience because of one or more finds at a bargain price.I LOVE this store -- the (produce, pet supplies, etc) bargains are unbelievable and parking and hours make it so easy! I still love this store because they have (pre-covid) stocked products from Spain at low prices and now fresh-in-the-earth herbs
1st time shopping at this store and they doo much good stuff I couldnt believe it...yall they had egg plant
Very nice staff & quick check-out
Great place to shop
Very friendly & good variety...
An older original small store.
The ladies working the door and the cash register were very nice.
Its a 99 cent store! Always great prices to be had. Antibiotic ointment is 99 cents rather than $5.99. The tube is a little bit smaller, but who needs a giant tube of antibiotic ointment? Its a classic 99 cent store deal.I especially like the produce, though I am happiest when I dont have something specific that I absolutely need. The 99 cent stores carry things that are available at that price point at that time - that is why they are such a good value. A beautiful bunch of asparagus that can be had for $0.99 would be triple that at Ralphs. Its also a great place to buy dairy items.Because this 99 cent store is small, it tends to be crowded. I am absolutely certain that its clean, but it feels a little bit grungy. Maybe the floor is old? I dont know, its just a feeling I get. It doesnt stop me from shopping here.Like most 99 cent stores, there is usually a line at the checkout stand. I dont have any issue with this either. Im sure you can find a place with a shorter line, but you are likely to spend a lot more money for the privilege.I stop here for typical 99 cent store stuff when I cannot get to a larger store - or when I am using the Santa Monica Big Blue Bus, which has a stop just across the street. Very convenient.
Good deals for 99 cents. Sometimes fruit is not good - stawberries, blue berries. But for 99 cents it is still a very fair deal for a lot of ppl.
They need to change the name of this store to the store where any price goes
In this 99 cent only storeA cashier wanted to cheat me out of 1 dollar !!! 😡😤
This 99Cent store feels like a community discount store. Does not feel like your typical 99Cent store.Small parking lot but worth a visit.
This Santa Monica location is my little inexpensive go to Jewel when Im having my budget moments. Most of the time they carry plenty of items and also a few surprise new additions like new release organic veggies, snacks, and discounted name brand toiletries they would hit your pockets heavier at the major chains. The Stores always pretty clean, same chill workers, parking aint always the best tho, but still, you can a find a spot. And once inside youll find something you want/need/needed to buy then your in/out of the checkout Lanes pretty fast. Good little store in an otherwise costly City.
Its one of the smaller stores but if you cant get to other stores it still contains the same good buys as the other stores.its a local 99cent store for the locals there.
Good Quality
Its a local store and i love shopping THERE
Love this place and the Bargain you find in there .
Good place to buy quality and save.
Always have a good experience of late. Lines are not allowed to get too long. Selection always good and prices excellent! Staff friendly and efficient!
Great value in a small space. This location is tiny, but they make the most of every inch. Whoever stocks this location has made the wise decision to choose the most necessary staples and keep them in stock at all times. The produce section used to be a big, happy mess, but hard to navigate and unpredictable. Its been cleaned up, organized into new containers, and is now even more reliable. Efficient staff manages the sometimes long lines as well as can be expected; try to stay cheerful when the line gets tangled up. Good to know ahead of time: approach the parking lot from the west-bound lane on Pico Blvd, as the only entrance will be on your right just before the traffic light at Stewart. Otherwise youll be circling the block. Metered parking aplenty on the street is a convenient alternative.
Most of the 99 cent only stores are poorly staffed is clear to see the employees are not happy product is not being properly rotated it is a moldy out of code
I always park on the street and there are always great bargains and quality goods here. Yes, it is small so go early or very late and have a better experience. I bought a rose plant that lasted about 10 days. The same plant cost $9.99 at Whole Foods and lasted my friend all of 4 days.
I love this 99 cents store its the best
The store is kept clean and they have a large selection of products. Their employees are very friendly and helpful. The parking lot is really small so sometimes you might have to park on the street either around the corner or at a meter.
I would give this location a 0 if I could. The SLOWEST cashiers I have ever seen in my life!!! And I have worked as a cashier for 6 years, so Im usually super understanding! 2 cashiers working both helping customers with 50+ items in their basket while about 20 of us are waiting with 3-4 items.....so frustrating
Its always like a treasure chest but unfortunately the isles are still too small and theres hardly any way to keep a 6-foot social distance.
Small congested store at the location what used to be a laundromat years ago. Expect to rub into somebody. Parking lot is also small and you might find some idiot drove n from the wrong end and jammed the parking lot and the adjacent road traffic.Like any 99 cents store you can find items but not all carried by other locations due to its small size.In general, conditions at 99, cents store has deteriorated since some private fund bought it a few years ago. Perhaps to pay their purchase debt they have screwed up every thing.Number of employees seems to have decreases and product packaging had been altered to reduce the quantity. For example, where it used to be five oranges in a bag, now they have only three.99 cents only store used to be a liquidation place for surplus inventory but Its not the same value anymore.Prices used to he 99 cents, now they have added numbers $1,2,3 in front of .99. So, now prices start at 99 cents and up. It is no more 99 cents only store. Begin to feel like a rip off, every 99 cents store
Good prices. Good prices. Well stocked most of the time. Im just glad I Dont drive. The parking lot is dangerous !!!
I love this store, but every location has hidden treasure! So dont be quick to overlook those goodies. 😎
It is very crowded inside & parking can be tricky if you come at certain times. Great place to pick up sunscreen for 99¢. The workers are kind as well as fast & will answer any question you may have. Paper bags are 10¢ like most places in CA are. There is a wide array of items there. Most are 99¢ or less with the exception of a handful of items which are clearly marked. Once again if you drive be prepared to possibly pay for parking or walk a good distance. 30¢ got me about 20minutes which was all I needed to browse the store with 3minutes to spare. I enjoyed the experience minus lack of room for a cane bound person & far more difficult based on traffic flow for one bound to a wheel chair. That is a common problem in LA. Lot of people and merchandise demand which makes for a disabled person a more difficult trek.
Lots of great inexpensive stuff. Much cheaper than Trader Joes down the street. Lower quality, of course, but could be worth the savings.
Its a great store to prepare for some party
Really nice people and some unique stuff (I dont have this store where I live)
Bottom line....speaker playing same ass commercial about 99 ways n 99 days about 99 freaking cents they dont charge...99 minutes of same lame commercial...tho I love the good deal on ice...big bag....99cents...99 thanks.....
I love the store but I don’t shopped there anymore they accuse people of shop lifty and the store never apologize for it and everytime time I shop there I spend over a $100 or more
Excellent store. Here you can find a lot of great things for 99 cents. I love to come here.
I usually go to the Dollar Tree, but really needed dishwasher powder and this store was on my way. They did not carry any dishwasher powder. I repeat... they did not carry any dishwasher powder. Although this is completely a First World problem, this has got to be the SH*TTIEST 99-cent Store, Ive ever been to. Its junky, stuff for $3.99... this place is a mess. 👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿
Very good affordable store!
Absolutely one of the worst I have ever been in. I feel for the staff that has to work there. Small cramped and disaster zone. Merch is everywhere. The manager must not care about the crappy conditions.
Very small selection of merchandise. But still has enough for the basics. Fresh produce and other groceries available here
For dealing with high paced traffic....the staff is exceptionally friendly. Kudos to their customer service.
The convenience of their condom selection is absolutely trustworthy, remember to stock up before the apocalypse occurs.
Employees are helpful!I lost a pair of glasses and they will call me when found.
Crowded, smallest 99c store I know, limited parking, While they are selling groceries some of the fruits and vegetables were visible off the expiration date, molded oranges and rotted cherries. No one removed the expired fruits from the store. The parking lot and the entrance were dirty. And bad maintained.Avoid.
My experience has been pretty good shopping here at this 99 cent store for twenty years but as a person who has worked for many years doing various jobs i know good customer service and their cashier cheyenne all she does is complain about how she should get another job to customers and talk about her personal life to customers while lines get longer then they have some new black guy named andrew he is pretty fast on the register and gets line cleared out and he has great customer service as cheyenne goes even slower when he gets on the register and I think they are going to burn that guy out because he is on the register every day all day it is a shame how under staffed they are to not be able to handle constant long lines everyday
I NOTICED MORE AND MORE ITEMS COST MORE THAN 99 CENTS,LIKE 3,99$FOR DETERGENT.SO I BELIEVE THE STORES NAME IS MISLEADING.IT SHOULD BE 99 CENTS AND UP STORES.REALLY!I AM SURE THAT IS AN ISSUE THAT BOTHERS OTHER CUSTOMERS TOO.IN THE PAST ALL ITEMS WERE PRICED AT 99 CENTS.THAT HAS CHANGED.
This is a very small 99 Cent Store limited on some of the supplies they have in stock
This tiny store matches larger stores, with quality produce & great brands. Might wait in line for the parking lot-not very long--dont park on the side street--got a $64 parking ticket.
I love all dollar stores the variety of items from one end of the store to the other spins the wheels of creativity . just great stores.
Avoid the parking lot and enjoy the deals. Nice selection of large fruit, when in season.
My favorite place for low cost things I use all the time
This is a smaller store in the 99 Cents Only chain, but they stock most of whats at the larger locations, including fresh produce at a fraction of supermarket prices. Ive always left happy.
Very nice cashier! Clean and the only bad part is parking. Just be careful where you park, a lot of door dings!
Good deals on a variety of low cost items when you cant wait for shipping. Inventory fluctuates, dont expect that item you came for to be there year round & youll leave a happy shopper!
This store had everything I needed, and all at good prices. This is a must stop for any travelers travelling extremely light, or a new residents who need cheap food and hygiene supplies.
Old-ish store @ Pico|28th. Floors are always dirty, inventory is very limited vs. other stores. Its 100% worth the extra drive a couple of miles east on Pico, a block past Sepulveda. Clean (opened in 2014), 5x the size, with GREAT produce, wider and higher quality selection.FYI - 99 Cents Only Store Fanatics FB group members post local 99 cent store finds all over the US, if youre a true fan.
Well... Some interesting characters make their way into this place. Great prices
Everything is cheap here but some are almost expired. There are some fresh veggies, also some bad fruits, of course it is $0.99 so I dont complaint! Staff was nice and friendly.
They need to take the only out of their name but you can find some decent things for very cheap.
Wish was a BIGGER Store like many of the others
Well no more complaints about parking rip 99 cents store
One of thier smaller stores about 1/4th the size of say the Wilshire / Fairfax 99 cent store having insu-fficiant parking availibility to boot!
Excellent one of a kind deal for very low cost. Mostvitems 99 some a bit more. I like the variety of items n there always seems to be something new to try or choice from. Only issue here is the parking uts very limited n can only come un from pico. Its an accident waitung to hapoen so many caes backed up on pico from customets trying to get in.
Right by my school just to get some snacks at a cheap price!
They always have essentials at a good price and every once in awhile something interesting to check out and for 99c most things are a good value here. There can tend to be long lines but they move pretty quickly.
One of the smaller stores with less selection but it was quick n painless to shop.
Prices on milk over 99 cents. Picnic items 5$ can opener 1.99 its not the 99 cents store since the owner died.
Small store. Not bad, but not a large selection either.
They didn’t treat me good on the phone. They left me on the phone for 15 mins and they Ignore me until I Hung up on them...😡
Cool but small and dirty. Find parking is chaotic
One of their smaller stores but employees are really helpful!
Used to work here this place is the worst!Owners put so much pressure on management and employees with no support.Everything you see done is all on the owners not employees or mangers.Long lines is because of owners dont want to pay for more employees.Raises are rediculous 5-10 cents a year!!!!!!!!!! They sell old stuff because owners wont let employees throw it out.So if you want to complain blame the owners not the employees they just follow orders. They care about their customers more than their employees no wonder you get horrible service.
Good store but they could increase the variety of products
Messy but fun. Bad parking.
Great Wall hanging pictures for your bath, dining room, living room and kitchen.
Not as big as the other 99c stores Ive been to plus this one has some of the usual Santa Monica characters but it does the job. Due to store size they are limited on some merchandise but their employees are helpful and friendly.
Great products, Always understaffed in the registers. Youre able to get what you want just takes forever to wait.
Constantly five to ten people in line with only one register open. They need to hire and treat their employees better!
Pretty packed 99c store. Was busy the morning I was there. Was only 1 cashier, but then the security guard opened up a till.Friendly staff.
Its small but has all u need at a good price
Super clean 99! Not much selection as others but enough.
Cheap cheap and cheaper but terrible looking- 0 street appeal
Needs more variety but its understandable its very small
