They helped me out in identifying some transmission problems with my 2014 Chevy Spark. Unfortunately, they found that Chevy does not make enough of the manual transmission for 2014 model, as there was only 1 being sold in the whole country. This meant the price the manufacturer was selling it for was pretty high... Lesson learned for buying an obscure econo car.. Ultimately, I decided I couldnt afford the transmission fix. However, I really did appreciate that these folks went the extra mile and did extensive research on my car. I will definitely come back here in the future and would also recommend to others because they truly care about helping you out.

Very impressed with the exceptional service I received at Advanced Automatic Transmissions. They worked with me to make the pricing very affordable and had no hidden fees. I was also shown the failed parts. This was the second time in 6 years I had major work done on my vehicles and I am quite satisfied with both pricing and maintenance performed on both. Handicapped veteran here stamping my approval on this shop.

Came in shop today to have my truck fluid changed with filter and gasket. Took about an hour to have done. Job well done! Will be bringing my other vehicles in soon for servicing.

I would recommend this shop to anyone who needs transmission work. Ian the owner is an honest good person. He looked over my car for free before I spent anymoney to make sure servicing it was worth it. My car ended up being fine transmission wise, but I had engine codes he recommended me to another shop to look at the engine and I was also happy with them. First experience I have had with a mechanic telling me he wanted to take a look before I spent any money. Very satisfied :)

I took some 1965 Dodge Dart GT in here because the transmission was slipping and wasnt shifting right I fully expect it to be told that it needed a rebuild but was not the case the previous owner had disconnected the kickdown linkage we were able to fined the missing parts and it was $200 to fix my car they are family run and very honest people would highly recommend them

The quality of service and the level of knowledge is by far exemplary. I am a mechanic myself and the cleanliness of this shop and the attention to detail I was shown my transmission being rebuilt and shown what had failed. Every part was meticulously placed in order as I would have done myself. Ian has extensive knowledge of his craft and I he saved me a lot of time and money. I highly recommend anyone in need of transmission work to please spend your money here so worth it my 1995 suburban drives way better than it ever has thank you guys for your time and help. I would not recommend this shop. Their warranty does not extend past I believe 1-2 years, 30,000 miles. There is good reason for that. You will be lucky if your transmission makes it that far after they work on it. I am now outside of my warranty by 15,000 miles and the transmission is falling apart. Transitioning from 2nd to 3rd gear feels terrible. I am leaking from my bellhousing and a couple other places, all transmission fluid. Of course my vehicle did make it through their period of warranty. But not before having to be rebuilt by their shop 3 times due to repeated malfunctions. The second time my transmission went, which was under their warranty, it allowed the motor to over-rev and destroyed my motor. The motor beforehand operated with no problems. Of course they did not compensate for that. I am extremely dissatisifed. I had to fight them just to get them to rebuild the thing under their own warranty. They told me it was user error. How can that be, with an automatic transmission. The last time they gave it back to me, they said please dont drive it hard. I dont know what that was supposed to mean. But I drive it like a normal human. So to me that means be careful, there are things we didnt do correctly and it is certainly beginning to show. Avoid this shop at all costs.

My Toyota Scion is 9 years old with some 160,000 miles on it. Gradually, it sounded rough. Toyota diagnosed that a new transmission was needed, and likely a new clutch. The price was very high. So, neighbors recommended Advanced Automatic Transmissions in Santee, on Prospect Street. I took my Scion there for the repairs. They charged much less, saving me several hundred dollars. Service was excellent, workmanship was excellent, and they even recommended a great rental car service nearby. Honest, fair, friendly, down-to-earth, on top of excellent workmanship--who could ask for more! I have had the car back for about two months now, and it runs fine. I highly recommend this place! Very happy!

Took my 2002 ranger in to get my trans looked at. It started to slip in the morning then would work ok after a while. I was expecting a major problem and possibly have to be rebuilt. I was told by Ian the owner I had a leak and it was causing my problem because of fluid level being about 2 quarts low. They fixed the leak and filled transmission up to correct level. The problem went away and Im telling everyone I know about this place good honest work! Thanks Ian

Beware take your car some where else when it comes to transmission repair. Uneducated and poor service is the best way to describe this shop.I asked a couple questions about my repair in process and the guy yelled at me and started calling me names. Trust me go some where else, any shop is better than Advanced Transmission.

Advanced automotives has been maintaining our fleet for years. They are less money and better quality then we are getting at other shops. Including dealers.

We are so happy with Advanced Automatic Transmissions. We had our transmission go out in our 2001 Rav 4 with irregularly shifting and the owner explained that it was a malfunctioning transmission computer. He rebuild our transmission and purchased a new computer from Toyota saving us a lot of money. He also advised us to pursue re-imbursement from Toyota. We did and they continually rejected our claim until the Ian, the owner, personally wrote Toyota a letter explaining the issue and the reason for the damage to the transmission. We now received a check from Toyota reimbursed us for the entire amount of out of pocket cost including all parts and labor. Thank you for going out of your way to help us.
