Very dissatisfied! My understanding was that I was going get glasses with no lines, instead I got bifocals in the lower corner of the glasses and they are so small that I have to hold my head back so I can see.So aggravating. The first return visit I made I was told that the glasses were too low on my nose. The second visit I was told that they could raise the bifocals up if I had said something. Who knew!That Would have cost me a extra 50 bucks.. My insurance got cheated and I have glasses that is no good to me..I wouldn’t recommend a blind person to go here. Can you see how small the bifocals are? If I had a good pair of glasses maybe I could see too. I got a second opinion on the glasses and they agreed with me.

What a difference in eye care. I was in the business with a friend and had some questions (thinking about a change myself) and met a young lady by the name of Courtney that was super sweet and happy to help me. She was very down to earth and insightful too! Not your every day, “hurry up, next!” type of place!! Just want to say if you are looking for top notch service: this may just be your answer for eye care!!!!

Courtney Landry was so super helpful. I got prescription sunglasses as well as new glasses. My eyesight is horrible and I needed progressive lenses. When I went for my appointment for glasses I had an appointment but still waited for over 2 hours then was told I had to pay everything up front because my insurance wouldnt cover. So it was a very expensive trip and then when I contacted my insurance company the next day they said that I world vision center in saraland is simply out of network. No one at eye world told me that they just said my insurance would not pay when in fact had they just told me they were out of network I would have gone somewhere else and had my glasses and my eye exam covered instead of having to pay out of pocket. Horrible experience. I am a federal employee, I do have vision and dental insurance along with my medical insurance. I just was not informed prior to my visit that I world is not in network for Aetna rural letter carriers Federal insurance

THIS WAS OUR SECOND TIME USING THIS FACILITY FOR MY DAUGHTER TO RECEIVE CARE FOR HER EYES AND THIS WAS THE ABSOLUTE WORST VISIT IVE HAD AND WE WONT BE RETURNING AND WE ARE SPREADING THE WORD. THE DOCTOR WAS VERY DRY AND DIDNT EXPLAIN ANYTHING TO US JUST GAVE US THE CHART AND SAID TAKE IT TO THE FRONT STAFF. THE STAFF WAS OK BUT IT SEEMED AS IF NOBODY ACTUALLY WANTED OR SEEMED CONCERNED ABOUT US THEY JUST DID US A SERVICE AND WANTED US TO GET OUT IS HOW I FELT. JUST NOT A VERY WELCOMING ENVIRONMENT WE WONT EVER COME BACK NOR USE ANYONE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS COMPANY. JUST RUDE AND DRY. CLOSE DOWN IF YOU DONT LIKE PEOPLE. SIMPLE.

The Dr was amazing and informational. The nursing staff wasn’t very informative nor friendly. They told me they would call when my glasses would arrive but the had no follow through. For being alternative to larger Dr offices you save no money.

Staff and doctor are were nice and courteous. But then again, Im from the North so its all relative. May have taken a minute or two wait time, but they did squeeze me in and I used the time to look for frames, that I new I needed anyway.However, the website ad says same day service. which I thought meant get your glasses within a day.Its now a week later and theyre still not ready, and theyre not drill mounted.

Me and my son and daughter, grandchildren, have used eyeworld for many years, today was the worst experience I have ever had. we arrived and it was very busy, which was ok, but I got my 2 pair of glasses, my regular progressive lenses fit well and I could see wonderful, but my sun glasses were more blurry than my old glasses, the woman who fitted them kept telling me I would adjust but I flat out told her something was wrong, she got someone else to check them and sure enough the prescription was wrong, but she kept telling me to wear them and my eyes would adjust, Moving on to My sons his left lens in both pair was nor right he cannot see out of the left on either pair and once again the same woman told him to go ahead and take them home his eye would adjust and since this is a three day weekend they wont do anything to them until Tuesday, so he is back to square one wearing old glasses, this lady should have had them checked like they did mine, she isnt an eye doctor and I felt she over stepped and sent my son out of that store very unsatisfied, when you spend $617.00 and you wait over a week and a half the glasses should be correct very unhappy.

Dont waste your time going here. I Wish I wouldve read the reviews before I went to this place. Dont deserve the 1 star. Went in for a eye exam, they said I need glasses ok great. Well I went in to pick up the glasses had to wait so long I end up leaving. Went back another day still had to wait but not as long this time. Tried on the glasses and my vision was worse with the glasses on, when I say I could not see nothing with them on. I told the girl that gave me the glasses and she says I can come back for another exam, I advised her that I will not and they should have been done right the first time and I will not be paying for another eye exam. And they can cancel this out.... She was rude, unhelpful and unconcerned and replied I didnt say you had to pay again for an exam and we dont do refunds. This place is a joke

I went in needing a eye exam and new glasses. The guys were very professional and I have excellent results because of them.The next step was purchasing new glasses and frames. One pair clear lens, one pair blue tint. I ordered my glasses on a Friday and got them back on the following Tuesday, just as they had promised.My expirence with the ladies at the front desk was great. Overall I give them 5 stars out of 5 stars. They earned it..I will be going back soon to have some additional glasses made. I would highly recommend anyone needing eye exams or glasses go see these people.Michael England

There is no customer service at this company.The only thing I would say is, each time Ive been in the office, the front desk people are very cold and short. They dont make eye contact and are very frank and unwilling to help you if you have a problem or question about insurance and payments. If they cannot do something they do no not even offer to help you find a solution. Every time Ive called the person never identifies themselves. By at least saying Hi...this is ____, how may I help you? goes an awful long way. When you dont have a friendly greeting it often comes across that the staff is rude and unperson-able. The front desk staff are usually very short and snippy sounding. I know they are busy but it doesnt take a lot of time to be nice with a smile. I think also remembering that you are a service and people can chose where they want to be seen, so, if youd like to make sure the company stays in business, you should do your part to make sure you have returning customers.The doctors are very nice and explain things very well and made me feel very comfortable. They offer a wide selections of glasses and accessories and the office is very clean. Im not however, comfortable with the front office.I just reordered my contacts but I think maybe next time Ill take my prescription elsewhere to be filled.

Dont go here. I have frames that broke 2 times. I paid 3 times for the frames. Staff has no empathy, especially the blond. With another pair, I cant use working on computer. Never had this problem before at other stores. Buyer beware.

(so sorry if there was another place to post it but I couldn’t find it) i’ve gotten four or five pairs of glasses from here and they have been great but I bought non prescription frames online and I was wondering if I could get them prescribed please?

We are currently attempting to deal with this business.Wishing I had researched them more prior to visit.The staff is RUDE!They seem incapable of even dealing with customers.Twice, we have gone to pick up glasses that were ordered approximately 2.5 weeks ago. BOTH times the lenses were wrong.This time, the entire prescription was wrong...from their doctor!!$400 Weve paid them for ONE PAIR.Are you kidding me?My husband has asked to be refunded so that he may go somewhere else that is competent...the girl was again rude,and refuses.He just wants his glasses to see!!!PATIENTS BEWARE....We will NEVER use them again.

My experience was very pleasant, though I did bring an RX from another doctor. The frame selection for men with pretty diverse which is hard to come by ranging from very large frames to smaller frames for smaller faces like mine. The lenses were cut much thinner than expected, and the price was much cheaper than Lens Crafters, Target Optical, or Eyeglass World.Overall Im very happy with my purchase.

I have had nothing but good service from the staff and owner here.I wanted purple frames, and the man knew exactly which ones worked for my price range/deal and was very nice about it--not pushy, but helpful and accommodating.The doctor did a very good job of explaining how my eyes were changing with age on top of my nearsightedness; and was patient in outlining my options with combinations of contacts and glasses. It gets kind of complicated at that over 40 stage in that situation! He made it more simple.I got a defective box of contact lenses, and they were very accommodating in trying different samples for free to be sure they were okay. Between being freaked out about what happened and just being so busy with my dads health, it took me a long time to complete the transaction, but they didnt blink an eye, and were very understanding. They even gave me new trial pairs AGAIN to get me through a Spring Break trip!Routine glasses tightening and adjustments are done for me quickly.Once the owner overheard me asking for information about sunglasses and came down off of a ladder where he was working on the light fixture to help me. This was very considerate and he was so generous in what he offered!Eyecare gets expensive, for one, because it is a recurring cost, due to eye changes and glasses being fragile and contact lenses wearing out; and this business does their best to offset that with regular specials. I imagine sometimes the place gets overrun with business, but I see them making a consistent effort to please customers. I try so hard to take proper care of my glasses, but inevitably notice one day theyre scratched again! It is a relief to know I can replace them at a reasonable cost.

They were there to help me get a new frame for my husbands glasses..he broke them at work today.. even with with the Covid 19 virus out break ..they went out of their way to rescue him. Thank you so very much ❤️

I got a contact exam. The eye exam was really thorough. When it was time for the fitting and to try the contacts, I was told that I had to pay for the contacts first. They dont offer free trial contacts. My concern is that they are forcing me to buy my initial boxes from them to complete the fitting process. That is like buying a pair of shoes before I can try them on.

Not very happy with my experience. I had an eye exam for contacts. The Dr said he wanted me to wear the trial pair for a week and come back because my left eye wasnt focusing clearly. My issue with that is the fact that they will only give you a trial pair of contacts after you pay for contacts through them. So I had to pay for two boxes of contacts that might not even work for me. On top of that the trial pair I received arent the same as the ones I ordered. Ive tried several different types of contacts before and I dont know if I will even like the dailies that I ordered until its too late. I usually order my contacts online for $29 a box and I was forced to buy them from here for $41 a box without having tried them first. This whole experience, plus the rude woman (short hair) at the front desk has left a bad taste in my mouth for Eyeworld.UPDATE:Thank you for taking my issue seriously and for getting me a trial week of the daily contacts. I changed the three stars I had initially given you to five.

I was in this store on 5/9/2018. The woman sitting at the desk behind the plexiglass was the most rude and obnoxious person I have had to deal with since getting out of federal prison. I was not even communicating directly with her. I dont know your name, but everyone who works with you does. This office does not give you trial contacts, and will act like you are asking for the world if you need your prescription corrected. People have real lives with real issues, there is no reason to be money grubbing and not courteous.

I saw the Dr. 2-1/2 weeks ago. He said they would order something for my eyes. He told me it would be about a week. Not only will no one call me back as to status and the receptionist says the drops arent in yet, I am not waiting on drops. The receptionist slammed the phone down on me. The office workers are beyond rude and disrespectful. Still waiting!!

Im having a bad experience with Eyeworld at this moment...its monday 12/11/17and i went in for a contact exam friday12/8/17...i was given a trial pair only after having to purchase a prescription... Ive worn the trial pair all weekend and cant see clearly at a distance, or close up and have no depth perception at all up close... i called this morning and explained to the rude woman answering phones to see if i could speak with the dr, and was refused and told Id have to come back in for another exam...why do i need another exam? Its not as if its been a year or two since this past friday!!! When i asked for a refund on the prescription that i dont even have, i was also refused.....im a truck driver and i live over 2 hrs away from Saraland its not like i can just take off one morning and come in for another exam and Im sure they would want to charge extra for that also.... i made a huge mistake choosing Eyeworld.... really wish i had read the reviews before traveling so far.... as of now, i wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.!!!!!

Went to Eyeworld in Saraland for the first and LAST time June 18, 2016 for the 2 pair for $78 special they had going, the choice of frames was excellent found the perfect ones! HOWEVER...... The elderly gentle man that did my exam sweet and kind as he may be DOES NOT need to be doing exams!! He kept pressing the phoropter into my face and down. Once I got my glasses I had the pleasure of listening to Bill talk again about needing a drink. I know hes only joking but its in poor taste in a professional atmosphere. I picked up my glasses June 25th I could not see well at all driving and the ones for up close were awful at work! I called Monday June 27th and was told to come Saturday July 2nd, I drove up there at 9am as instructed only to find them CLOSED!!! I will not be going back once these glasses are corrected!!!
