I have been using these guys at Maaco for years and they are the best! I used to be in the car business so I am VERY selective who I trust to work on our cars. Ed and his guys are honest, reasonable, and do great work. I recommend my friends and family to here whenever they need body work/painting too. While driving today my exterior mirror on my Lexus became loose and Ed and Grant were able to fix the issue and get me out quickly today. These guys aim to please. Now if only I could stay out of body shops lol

Ed, Grant and the team there are awesome!My son got into a little fender bender which required having to remove the rear bumper of our Terrain. Maaco was able to repair the bumper versus replacing which help reduced the cost of repair.The bumper looks great like nothing even happened.When I was driving the car home I noticed a “side detection service needed.” I called the shop and was told the computer needed to be reset to clear that warning since the bumper sensors had to be unplugged when the bumper was removed. I told them I would be able to bring back the next day. Right after that call Grant called me back immediately and said he would come up our home to reset the code! That to me was above and beyond customer service.Thank you so much for making this process so easy and doing great work! I know next time anything like this happens I will say, “Uh oh, better get Maaco!”

After conversation the manager Edwardo, he has refunded $500 to cover the cost of Clean Up and some replacement parts The owner Ed was extremely apologetic and kind, and seemed genuinely disappointed in my results, and offered to Take Care of me in any further projects as well. I consider the matter closed. I have increased my rating to 3 stars.On Sat 03-27-21 at 9am sharp, I visited the North Washington Blvd MAACO Auto Painting location here in Sarasota. I was eventually greeted by Grant a manager. I explained had recently purchased an older 1997 Dodge Ram 1500, and was fixing it up for my eldest son. Grant went around the truck, pointed out 1 or 2 things, and we went in to go through the menu sale. After 15 min, I had agreed to upgraded paint, stripping or roof and hood, and extra sanding, and was quoted $1,856.43 and scheduled the truck for drop off the following Saturday, 04-03-21. Promptly 9am 04-03-21 I dropped off the truck, Grant took the keys as I asked a time frame? Grant explained he had 1 or 2 staff out due to Covid 19 scares, but approx. 2 weeks, I agreed and left.On 04-15-21 approx. 2 weeks later, having heard nothing I called their office, and Grant explained it was still in the Sanding process, and said probably ready the following Tues or Wed 04-20-21 OR 04-21-21. Tue & Wed came and went, NO call from the store, so Friday 04-23-21 I called again, Grant again explained they were still behind, and that there was a lot of sanding to be done, no apology and it was probably be the next Tues or Wed 27th or 28th. Tues and Wed came and went, still no call from the store. On Friday 04-30-21 I called the store in the hope that it might be ready. This time, Ed, another manager answered the call; I explained who I was and my vehicle. I was put on hold for 5 min, then Ed say’s, Oh yes your truck is going into the sanding department today, a brief silence followed as I was extremely disappointed, thou without saying something I would regret other than, “Really? Grant had told me it was in Sanding for 3 weeks”?, Only for Ed to reply, NO Grant wouldnt have said that, theres NO way he would have said that? I hung up in disgust.Monday May 3rd (ONE MONTH), a friend from the Sarasota City planning dept went by the yard to see my truck. STILL UNTOUCHED IN YARD! Again on Wed May 5th, finally to see it was in the Sanding dept” 5 wks later.I finally got a call 04-11-21(1st Call Wk6) its ready. I rearranged my work schedule and at 4.30 I arrived to find entire truck covered in over spray and dust throughout the vehicle, inside, under the hood, trim painted, new tail & head lights and handles painted, wheels and tires covered in dust and over spray. I was “Fit to be tied” absolutely fuming, but I just wanted to get out of there as soon as I could. No one in the office had to go find them, fixing another vehicle in the parking lot while other clients stood around waiting. No one walked around it with me, pretty much ignored by all. I paid and got my keys, only to find the vehicle wouldn’t start, and the interior lights had been left on, and basically the truck had been neglected for 6 weeks, I had to go back in and ask for a jump. I left disgusted and heart broken. Never again. Hopefully Edmundo Lacayo, Principle Owner will make things right?

Awesome work at this location! Priced local body shops and several of them I couldnt run away fast enough! This local Maaco was about $1k less and actually much more value than more expensive quotes This was a repaint of lousy Ford factory faded paint. Extremely happy with the results. We selected the middle paint level.

The owner of Maaco, Ed is always very nice and efficient. I highly recommend them for any paint of collision needs. They are honest and trustworthy. He gave me an estimate and then was able to save me almost $200 so he REFUNDED me that money. That is something I have NEVER EVER had done in any business. I will always go there (this is the second time I have been to Maaco) and will recommend them to everyone. And my car looks brand new!! Excellent service, value, quality and they work fast! I took the time to drive 45 minutes to their shop near 17th St in Sarasota. I called the day before to let them know at what time I would be there- 11 am. I arrived at 10:55 am, and the front counter man, Graham, would not appraise the car for paint.Im not exactly sure why he even works there, because he said to bring it up, I did, and he was reluctant to give out a price.Overall, a total waste of time.I have since found a shop to do the work.I guess Maaco is not so much into the car painting business?

I took my car to Maaco for a simple paint job and they promised to have it ready in 7 days. I called on day 7 and was told it was not ready and had not even been painted yet. It wasn’t ready until Friday, 2 days later (9 total days in the shop).Ed called me and said they’d be there for me to pick up the car until 5:30 PM. But when I arrived at 5:15 PM the doors were locked and no one was inside so I could not get my car the entire weekend. I confronted Ed about this when I picked my car up on Monday morning and he looked at the tape as if I was lying only to see I did indeed show up at this time and nobody was around to give me my car. He said he left at 5:07 PM and I told him thats not 5:30 pm like you said.I finally picked my car up on Monday only to see it had been damaged by the shop! They said they put tape on the trim of my windows and upon removing the tape it peeled the paint off. They were very nonchalant, saying these things happen and How were we suppose to paint it then? Really?? You dont say that to a paying customer.As if that wasnt enough, the next day two parts from my roof rack fell off while I was driving on the highway, almost causing an accident to the drivers behind me. I pulled off the highway only to see the flying piece came from my roof rack and were not properly reinstalled from when the car was painted.I went back to the shop explained what happened and asked for my money back. After everything I went through, They refused and said they could order and install the parts that fell off my roof rack and tried to give me a price quote even though it was there fault for not putting them back on correctly. Again, Really??? I have to pay for you not reinstalling those parts and them flying off?This place is negligent and doesnt care about their work or putting other people lives in danger as the parts flying off on the highway could have ended tragically.How they manage to stay open with the level of unprofessionalism and the disrespect and they show their customers, is beyond me.If you value your car and if you value your life go somewhere else—anywhere else! The pictures dont lie!

SAFELIGHT determined a new windshield could installed because of the rust to which the window mounted. They recommended I take the car to Maaco auto body repair which was luckily across the street. Ed from Maaco took the car in that day and had it ready by the end of the day for a new windshield install. When I picked up our car from SAFELIGHT it was very dirty. It was a few days before I had a chance to wash the car. When I did, I learned much of the dirt was metal powder from prepping the windshield bed. Well the rust adhered to the car finish... roof doors, hood, everywhere. I tried waxing it off with no luck. I called Maaco to ask what to do and Ed said bring it ASAP in so they could buff out the finish of the entire car. They did a beautiful job and graciously accepted responsibility.Thank you to Ed and the staff that worked on my car! If I need auto body work in the future I know where take my car. I highly recommend Maaco Collision Repair.

I had went in to have a bumper and tailgate replaced due to someone rear ending me. After a few days, got my truck back, looked good. After I got home and the light was shining on the tailgate, it was a little different color. Call Grant at Macco, and he told me to bring it back. After picking it up a couple of days later, it was a great match. Very good job Macco.

Very poor work. Wanted 600 more to help fix sloppy work. Would not let them touch it again. Said their fan pulled dirt from my old motor. They painted over it. Painted with the doors closed did not masked running boards over spray, looks bad. Parts of body I will not be able to polish. I feel I could have got a better finish from spray cans at home depot.

Not what I was expecting from a national chain. I had a real problem with a windshield that was cracked but i couldnt get it replaced because surrounding it was rusted out and would not support a new windshield. Needed extensive body work and 3 other local body shops would not even take the job. Was so happy to find Maaco. They did a great job for a reasonable price and were very supportive and professional. Have helped me also with other smaller issues and I think theyre the BEST!!!

This was an excellent experience in every way. Estimator Shaun Waters was friendly and professional and patiently answered all my questions at our first meeting and after the completed paint job. The Manager, Ed Lacayo, (who is also bilingual in English & Spanish!) was also extremely courteous, professional and responsible and made sure that every detail was taken care of to my satisfaction when I picked up the car. At my request they also took out a few dings and scratches and applied their top paint job which makes this 2003 Sebring Convertible look brand new!!! I couldnt be happier. They are shady salesmen. I went the less expensive route and they purposely did a terrible job. They even tried to send me away without the part that I paid for. I had to come back a 3rd day for them to order the part that I paid for the first time. It was a waste of money and time and my car doesn’t look any better.

They did a good job except I feel 2 weeks is a long time to have a vehicle for just painting no body work.

The service and work was amazing. I tried to go with a mobile body/paint person and I have learned they are all a scam. I came back to get my car fixed here and they made my car look like new again. They even restored my headlights for free. Oh and when I came to pick my car up they restored my wife’s car headlights for free. First class service all the way!!! If you love your car there is no other place you should go.

Had a very minor issue, just needed my front bumper popped back into place. Not only were they able to get me in the next day, but they only took an hour to help me. it’s hard to deal with taking your car in and having to work around a work schedule, but they made it so simple and it was a very smooth process! any future needs i may have they will definitely be at the top of my list, and i’ll recommend them to everyone! Highly recommend this shop to anyone who needs collision repair work done. My car is a little over one year old and was hit in the front and the back. When I got my SUV back it was flawless, you could not even tell it had been in an accident. This was the second estimate I got, the first estimate my insurance company sent me to, they sent the estimate and sent me on my way, I waited a couple of weeks and decided to go here, my insurance company still tried to stall me leaving my vehicle because it was a Friday and they didnt want to cover a car rental, the manager(or owner) said no it is not safe for her to drive because her bumpers will come off and also when he pulled off the bumper the radiator was bad.they know what they are doing here and they do a great job.

I took my truck to have the tailgate replaced. They were great. I got a great quote and they removed the old tailgate. I got a call and was told my tailgate was ready to pick up. When I arrived 3 men came out and installed the gate, wiped it down and made sure it worked.Perfect match! ! What a great job ! !I will send everybody that asks me they are the place to go.

I had a tire blow out on my car and I brought my car to a tire shop across the street from Maacco only for them to turn me away because the locking lug I had on my rim was rusted out and stripped. No one wanted to take the time and effort to even attempt it. They turned me away and I called every repair shop within a 5 mile radius and the only one that was able to offer any assistance was maacco. I called up to their front desk and Edmundo answered and said he would be over to take a look with some tools shortly. The long and the short of this story is Ed went above and beyond his pay grade to help out someone who desperately needed it. That’s the type of guy I would want working on my vehicle. The one who’s going to take the extra minute, go that extra mile just for the sake of another person.

Just went to them for a minor repair onSaturday at about 11AM. Edmundo checked it out and said he could fix before closing at 12 noon for very reasonable price. He did it and I am home at 11:50. Best service I have ever experienced.

When first getting my car back I thought what a great job was done on it, and for the most part I’m ok with it since I went for one of the lower priced options. However, now after less than 2 months some of the very light scratches ( the reason I got it painted) are beginning to come back through the paint. Obviously, a very, very thin coat was put on. Not sure I would use Maaco the next time.

If I had my way Id have given them 10 stars, first of all 1 the were professional, 2 they were knowledgeable, 3 there were courteous and friendly and 4 unless I had insisted they would have taken no money/thats old school. Im 70. in the new school age you dont find that.SincerelySteven Gleason

Facility was very clean and well-maintained. The vehicles that they were polishing out front looked amazing and close to brand new. The manager Ed gave me a quote and was thoroughly detailed in his approach and very honest about all of my options. They really know what theyre doing there!! I would have given them five stars but I havent actually purchased a paint job for my vehicle. But on all other basis they were thorough and very pleasant to deal with!

They were thorough in the estimate and gave me 3 options of affordability. Scheduling was easy and they did a great job. There are a couple of spots that need correcting, but they have offered that we can bring it back any time and they will fix. I will update review after we take it back.

I had oxidation and fading on the hood and roof of my car. Two other shops wanted $4000 just to repaint those two areas. For about 1/2 that, the artists at Maaco fixed some parking lot dings and gave the whole car a beautiful repaint and clear coat. It looks brand new! Special thanks to Ed and Grant, you guys gave me outstanding customer service and I couldn’t be happier with the way my car looks!!!

Took our 2010 Honda to this Macao team. This Honda had the classic Honda clear coat/paint failure. The team evaluated the paint condition and made recommendations. When we picked up the car we found that the team had addressed a few details illustrating that they strive to provide an excellent paint job for the car.

Ed and his team did a great job on car! They took me within 2 days and said it would be done in 3 days and it was, even though they had to order a component! You cannot tell this was damaged at all and they had to blend the entire area because the damage was right in the middle. My car is also a unique color. Dealing with the aftermath of a collision,0 even minor one, is never easy. However when you find a shop whos owner and staff genuinely care it can be a little less painful. Edmundo is the ultimate professional and that rubs off on the people who work for him. The price of my repair was reasonable and the workmanship was of the highest quality.... and it was done so quickly! A special nod to Grant whos kind and friendly demeanor from the start helped with all the emotions that one goes through after an accident. This is an awesome operation. I had always felt they were painting specialists but they are much more than that. I had a bumper replaced and painted and it looks like it just came off the manufacturers assembly line. I dealt with Mike Guy, the manager and a true pro. What a pleasure it was to deal with him. Everything he promised was adhered to and delivered timely which was refreshing. The price was amazingly fair, I am so happy I didnt go to the dealer for this repair. Kudos to these folks.

They were just awesome. I dropped my car off and they picked me up, when it was done. And my bumper looks great.

So my husband dented slightly my cars bumper as he backed into one of our other vehicles. I was so upset with him, and he knew he was in trouble. He took it to several other bodyshops and was provided with estimates ranging from $500-800 (mind you it was a small dent). MAACO in Sarasota on N. Washington was his last stop. Should have been his first! The Manager Edmundo told my husband it would not take long and would be approximately $30, (yes $30). As all I wanted was for the dent to be taken out and bumper put back in place. No need for paint touch ups as my car is 8 years old. When completed, he was told no charge and thank you for your service. My husband is a Navy Vet. Tears came out of my eyes when my husband told me this. That was such a kind and generous act. It is hard now a days to have a business provide a discount to our military. There are no words to describe how thankful we are. If there were more than five stars, we would give them that and more. Thank you again for what you did! We will be referring people your way anytime someone is in need of bodyshop repairs. First pic is before followed by after. They were able to help me out on a little touch up paint i did which came out horrible. Then went to these guys and made 100 times better thank you Ed i will definitely come back here if i need something done for sure.
