Could be much better. Low inventories on everything but you can bet the prices are sky high on everything and anything. Its aother store that would be better off firing all their employees and replacing with robots as robots are more helpful, useful and smarter than what this place has going on. Give me a break

I have been going here for years 2 acquire supplies for boat detailing and repairs. All of the staff is very very knowledgeable of Lee products they carry and are very friendly and easy to talk to. A great selection of apparel and knickknacks for enjoying your time out on the water!!

This place is like tractor supply, you may not live on a farm, but you find things you couldnt live without. Well, same applies here, there are things you didnt realize you needed, until you walked in here.

They have what you need for activities in and around water...boating, fishing, kayaking..etc.

Horrible customer service. I had an item shipped to the store and was told it would be in on the next truck (3-4 days)... Two weeks and 3 trucks later I still dont have my part that I have already paid for. And on top of that I havent had one single phone call explaining the situation, every time it is me who has to call them and ask what the delay is. I dont feel like a valued customer after spending nearly $500.00 here on 11/27

Amazing helpful staff.

Went in to exchange a gift that was defective. The cashier and manager, Dennis, were of little assistance. The manager specifically stated it was ultimately his decision and would not exchange the defective item for a replacement. The item is a private labeled item that could have only come from West Marine. Wont ever shop here after that experience.

Really over priced never have what I need. The personal in the parts department really have no clue how to look up your parts. If you are lucky and can get ahold of Tom in parts he is the only knowledgeable person there. The guys in the fishing department are vary knowledgeable. Still very pricey.

Boat = break out another thousand ..at least they usually have all the goods

Beautiful store with a fantastic selection of almost everything for boating and fishing. This place is huge compared to what it used to be when it was up the road.

Was out of varnish again. 4 out of 5 times I go there they are out. They also told me they only are allowed to stock 2 quarts! Are you kidding? Its the west coast of Florida...in a boating community.

You might as well order whatever you want from Amazon or other online retailer. This store doesn’t keep anything in stock that they have displayed. Went in to buy a gps/fish finder both I picked out from display they did not have in stock. Sales rep told me to just order online it’s faster. So then I moved on to a radio, picked two out both were you guessed it out of stock. I left the store not worth my time anymore. Save your self a trip.

Way over priced!!! Some of the stuff you can find at Walmart for half the price. Your best bet is Bass Pro, Walmart or online.

West Marine is pretty much the same. This one appears to be more about clothing, fishing, paddle boarding, and kayaking than boat repair. Given its location I can understand.

Great store with a bit of everything. Plenty of very knowledgeable sales people. Very helpful. All kinds of tackle for boat from fuel lines to electronics. Clothing and shoes including rain suits, shorts and shorts. Some fishing tackle. Prices are competitive.

Overpriced on some items (boat building supplies like resin and hardener), but competitive on others. The staff is sometimes knowledgeable and usually helpful. Its convenient if you need something and you cant wait to have it shipped. Also you can bring your dogs and they have treats for them, so thats always worth a star in my book.

I have had a couple vary experiences here. When they have just the teenage looking employees working, dont expect much assistance. When they have more experienced employees working, I have gotten all the assistance I could ask for and then some. Store is always neat and well stocked. As a boat owner I know I will be back.

I love the selection here. For boating, its the best in Sarasota. A bit pricey, though.

I wore a mask into the store only to find but a few employees also wearing a mask. Their indifference to my safety is appalling youth or no. I am 79 and had pnuemonia in January which places me at risk. I will make every effort to avoid your stores in the future.

Good selection of options to supply your boating needs. Managers are very knowledgeable and the return policy is overly trusting. Prices are also very fair!

Staff are incredibly helpful and happy. It is pleasure shopping there, they have a great selection and whatever happy pills they feed their staff I want some!

Great store. I like getting my electronics from there especially. I buy the four year warranty. That comes in handy with expensive electronics. The staff is great always very knowledgeable and helpful.

A good marine supply with a more than adequate inventory. The people on staff do know what they are talking about. The place is a bit pricey, but convenient.

Went to West Marine to find a good pair of binoculars. Great selection from lower priced to high end binoculars. If you are a boater it is a must go to place for all your boating needs.

The young female manager speaks slang and is not very professional. I asked if she could discount the damaged box if not I’d take the new non beat up box. She said no discount someone probably just opened it and tried it on. Um they’re 30$ socks, I don’t want to buy socks someone already tried on for full price. She’s moron and she needs to learn how so speak properly instead of valley girl.

Arrogant sales staff (specifically Engine and Parts) that were not at all interested in helping us with our needs. Save yourself the time and go somewhere else for your marine needs.

The Satasota West Marine is a big store. I think its a great place to shop for rigging and fittings.

Clean store with a lot of stuff, but the prices are high. I usually just check the sale rack, or sometimes they have certain fishing lures marked down. Staff are ambivalent.

Rip off prices! Marine salvage has a lot of new stuff and costs less than half what West charges and NO DIFFERENCE in quality.

Bought a $3000.00 Simrad with the 2 year on boat warranty for an additional $250. It took about a month but they made it right and sent the newest updated Simrad.

Over this place and the sales people. Vinny is the best he is a great young man with a lot of knowledge.

Service is good and the employees are very attentive but the prices, as with all West Marine stores are astronomical. I checked the price of an item here and then checked the price of the exact same item down the street at Economy Tackle, and West Marine was asking 75% more which is outrageous.
