I went to Z-Edge August 19th for a tattoo and piercing. The tattoo ended up needing to be fixed as the lines were completely crooked. I got a geometric star. My piercing also needed to be re-done as the piercer did not inform me that piercing a nose with a hoop has a high rejection rate and should be transitioned to by first piercing the nose with a stud and after 5-6 months switch to a hoop. Overall extremely disappointed with the results as this was a birthday present to myself. As much experience as they boast having, simply informing clients of risks and taking time to ensure the tattoo being done is a good representation of the image provided OR referring the client to a different tattoo artist who does better line work seems to be a level of professionalism unheard of in this studio. DO NOT make the same mistake I did. Find somewhere else where they care about the clients and art of body modification more than they care about making a quick buck. Complete waste of time and money.

Megan did a great upper lobe piercing for me on both ears! Will definitely return if I would like more piercings. Just remember to bring CASH as it is cash only in the shop.

Got my ears pierced here, the people there were very nice, and the whole thing went smoothly. It was honestly a totally different experience than most places around town, no lack of personal expression, even with people working there. With rap playing uncensored in the background and and folks who clearly choose what they wear to work, the place felt much more real than most of sarasota. Could be because Ive never actually been to a tattoo place and I could well be describing 90% them, but it doesnt detract from the description, even if it is redundant for some.

My mom and I went in for tattoos and are very happy with the outcome. We had Monica and she was great! I had a design prepared and she absolutely nailed it. My mom, however, only had an idea so Monica drew something up and it was amazing. Well definitely be going for all future tattoos with her! Also, the place is very clean! And many people came in for piercings during our time there and each person left very happy so its a great place all around! Thanks for a great experience!

We had Monica and she did a great job! We had an idea of what we wanted but she was very helpful with sizing and placement. She was very accurate and precise. Very chill and friendly, we would defiantly recommend!

If I could give zero stars, I would. I went in last week with my boyfriend for a simple finger tattoo for each of us for my birthday. Long story short, it took 2 hours for two tattoos smaller than a quarter, the girl acted as if she was under some kind of drug(s), was completely unprofessional talking about inappropriate things, and then we were charged $180 + tip. We both have bigger (and well done) tattoos and have never been charged that much before. Im not sure if she wanted to take advantage of us because she knew we werent locals or if she was just nuts. Icing on the cake is the fact that the tattoos are the worst quality Ive ever seen. Not even a week old and they are almost completely gone. Either way, save your time and money and go literally anywhere else. I would have been better off with a jail tattoo. See the photos.

I came in to buy a threaded end for my eye brow piercing . The piercer came out and snapped at the receptionist right in front of me. I waited about 10- 15 mins for some one to come out The piercer then tells me that I’d have to wait another 10 mins. I thought that was kind of ridiculous because I was only buying jewelry and I already saw what I needed. I then left because she was super rude and not worth my time. You should never snap at employees in front of other customers. Luckily, I’m not a local and will not be returning.

I won’t ever go to another tattoo shop! The staff are all so kind, especially Bri! The entire place is really clean and I was externally comfortable the whole time! Highly recommend!

I have been going to Z-edges North shop for ear piercings for over 2 years and it has been a comfortable experience each time. Ive had my double helix and second lobe piercings done by Amanda (she no longer works there but she was awesome) and a helix and flat done by Megan recently. Megan is super nice and very helpful. She was very patient with me when I couldnt decide on my jewelry and answered all my questions about placement and custom jewelry orders. I plan on going to Megan for all of my future piercings. Z-edge is extremely clean and professional- all of their jewelry is sanitized as well as all the equipment they use to pierce with. I have never once been worried about the care of how my piercing is being done or after-care as they make sure you are super informed the entire time and afterwards. The shop is CASH ONLY so be prepared when you go (plus extra for a tip)! But they do have an ATM which is great.My only wish/concern is that they would be more strict during Covid about masks. Megan has her mask on the entire time (and CORRECTLY) which makes me feel safe, however I have been in the store when an artist had no mask on at all and none in sight (I do not know her name). Also, I have seen many customers come in without a mask or with it on improperly and nothing has been said to them (not that I could hear or see at least). There is a sign on the door about mask-wearing but I guess they cant enforce it entirely as Sarasota isnt mask-mandated any longer. Other than that, I would recommend you go to Z-edge for a worry-free and fantastic piercing experience.

I had been contemplating a septum piercing for awhile and I finally did it and Megan my piercer did an amazing job! She walked me through each step before she pierced me and it made me feel ten times more comfortable. I highly recommend getting a piercing done by Megan at Z-edge tattoo shop!!!

Wow they have some Amazing Artist, in this Shop,They can pretty much draw anything that you have in mind and put it to INK.This one girl who was extremely nice and very friendly, was doing an amazing job on a tattoo while I was there her name was Marie.. it definitely wasnt a boring set for that tattoo she was very interesting, and fun as we browsed around and asked questions.. I really enjoyed just dropping in to check this shop out.. so a big shout out for Marie she was amazing and everybody else at the shop that was so friendly as well, Ill be going back on Friday for my Tattoo, I will post them after they are done...

Had my infants ears pierced here (7 mo old). Appointment was made, process was timely. However, owner pierced my daughters left ear and did not bring to our attention there was an inch and a half scratch (gouge) on the back of her ear after completion which required after care, Neosporin etc. A bit alarming it went unnoticed by piercer but immediately noticed by parents upon returning home. When contacted it was attributed to the cork stopper used on the back of her ear not the needle... Piercing placement is not in the same locations for both lobes that is the least of our worries. Injury was the biggest concern with this method but was “reassured” they perform this frequently and are experienced professionals at this...and my fear came to fruition. A bit disappointed as the responses seems to be a bit dismissive of her injury but they plan on implementing new policy.

So I actually came here three times already. First time was for a consultation. Second time to choose ideas for my tattoo cover up. And, third time for the tap out session.So let’s start with what happened the first time around. When I came in I was greeted by a friendly employee there who did piercings so she went and got her coworker Marie who did tattoos. It was pretty funny how Marie greeted me but I acted like I didn’t notice anything, and great sense of humor though. So she gave me a consultation and although she was busy with tattooing a client, she still managed to talk to me about the consultation and she’s friendly too.Second time around I came in and the staff was friendly and automatically knew I was there for Marie. Which was great because I felt welcomed, and you don’t get that feeling at other establishments. So Marie and I sat down and figured out ideas. She started drawing it too which is pretty lit because my tattoo cover up is definitely going to be original.Okay so third time around I came in and again the staff was polite and friendly. Definitely felt welcomed again. No one was rude and had no attitude because again you get that at other establishments. So Marie started tattooing me. First session we got a lot done! So happy about it because color don’t take too well on people with certain complexion and I’m relieved it took well on mine lol so I’m definitely ready for more sessions!!All in all, I definitely recommend this place. None of the staff are rude which is a super plus in my book. Not only that but Marie does really great work. She penciled my idea and needled it on my arm lol but yeah I love that my work is original! She was so easy to work with because at other establishments they force their ideas on me and I was even talked out of getting color. Marie didn’t force anything on me but recommended her ideas and she didn’t talk me out of getting color. Mad props and credit to Marie for her professionalism. And to the rest of the staff too, thank you for having me!
