As the employed qualifying contractor and senior project manager of CE for the past seven years, I was able to build the construction field of the business to near perfection. Ive always striven for our projects to be of the upmost quality with amazing customer service. It takes years to perfect and reach what my standards have been in the industry for over 25 years. I have created the best team of employees and subs, the cream of the crop, the creme de la creme, to perform the most astonishing remodel jobs in Sarasota. In April of 2020, I was able to purchase the company outright. I am now in full control to make every end of this company, including our design team, as flawless as I can.Id like to personally thank every client from the past and every client in the future that we get the privilege of working for, for allowing us to show off how great we truly are!! In my heart, I believe we all work extremely hard for our money over our lives and deserve the best quality when we purchase things, and thats what we are all about!!
What a gorgeous bathroom! We were looking for a contemporary, coastal bathroom with a touch of Sothern charm. Our vision was a place of peacefulness and serenity. We were wanting to avoid the box stores and just replacing the cabinets, tub, fixtures and tile. This is where Cabinets Extraordinaire came to our rescue.Designer, Jeremy Strong, was outstanding. His talent in design and years of experience moved us forward in this bathroom remodel. He listened carefully to our vision, offered suggestions and at times nudged us out of our comfort zone, ending in a design we love. We were never pressed or rushed to make a decision. The staff and subcontractors at Cabinets Extraordinaire told us several times their goal was to make us happy. We specifically wanted a wood ceiling painted in a “haint” blue, as seen on Southern verandas. “Haint” blue ceilings were first seen in the U.S. in the early 18th century in the Lowregion Gullah communities of South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. Haints, a.k.a. ghosts or evil spirits would be repelled by these shades of blue-green and would keep them from entering the home. Our reasoning was to bring warmth and charm of coastal living into the entire room. The haint blue ceiling color was incorporated on our Cabico cabinetry, which drew you into the bathroom of white. We were so glad to remove the large, motel mirror for two modern, lighted mirrors. We complimented the ceiling with a beautiful, modern Haiku fan.Our shower floor was originally built on an unsafe grade. Jeremy designed a gently, wider, sloping floor with a beautiful, matching tile, linear drain. He envisioned stacking the tiles on the shower walls and floors, adding a more modern sleek look. The chrome push button shower controls are wonderful. We love it all!We cannot say enough about Cabinets Extraordinaire. The quality of design, craftsmanship, quality of materials used and quality of subcontractors. Project Manager, Kyle Menna, was a wonderful coordinator. He listened to every concern and addressed it immediately, kept us on schedule and was organized, and kept this project moving forward. Kyle was personable and easy to work with, as were all the Cabinet Extraordinaire team from office to field.Thank you Cabinets Extraordinaire, Jeremy and Kyle, for exceeding our expectation of a beautiful, coastal bathroom. Job well done!Denny & Shea BockrathBradenton
Dan Patton, cabinet designer and friend for many years is an awesome designer I have, as a professional cabinet installer, installed many of his designs. A lot of time, knowledge and effort goes into one of his designs you will definitely be happy if you are working with him on your project. Schedule your meeting with Dan Patton if you are thinking of a complete kitchen remodel, and he will turn your dreams into a reality
I was in the process of finding out what I would need to do to remodel my bathroom. I need professional and experienced advice. Dan was able to give me a honest price and perfect design. I would recommend CE if your looking for quality and comfort.
In selecting who we want to do business w there can be times where we may concede in some areas b/c we like the people. In this particular case that is not required. Just go somewhere and see what they do. The owners are exceptional people and their work is well above anything Ive seen.
Excellent experienceJeremy/Joe and the team did a great job on our master bath remodel. We have done several remodel efforts (multiple kitchens, multiple bathrooms) over 20 years in many place. This was the best remodel experience we had. It was the least stressful and best planned remodel (for us the two go in hand). While there will always be issues and surprises in a remodel, the upfront work put into purchasing all the necessary items to planning out the schedule helped make all these little surprises manageable. Highly recommend the team to anyone who asks.
Had a top class Kitchen and bathroom job completed by Cabinets Extraordinaire. Joe and Jeremy are the best Ive ever worked with for design and quality of finishes. I highly recommend them.
We recently contracted with Cabinets Extraordinaire to do a complete remodel of our kitchen and master bathroom. We chose this firm for both their design and construction expertise.Jeremy Strong, our designer, was outstanding. He listened carefully to our ideas about the rooms and designed accordingly, at times nudging us out of our comfort zone. He was patient when we made design changes and never rushed us with any decisions. He thoroughly explained his rationale for the design recommendations and accompanied us to stores to help us select our lighting, appliances, backsplash, and counters. The Cab Ex showroom had a wide array of well-organized cabinet samples, flooring samples and drawer and cabinet pulls. All of these things helped to make difficult choices much easier and were greatly appreciated. During the construction phase Jeremy came to our home frequently to ensure that our design choices were being implemented. His expertise and vision were beyond compare and helped make what felt like an overwhelming project manageable. We were in good hands with Jeremy. Our project manager, Jerry Schanz oversaw the demo and construction phase of the project. He, too, was outstanding. He listened carefully to our concerns and explained all phases of the project thoroughly including why they chose to do things in a certain way. He noticed details that we missed and had them adjusted until they were perfect. Each day’s schedule was communicated and adhered to. Jerry’s goal was to make sure we were happy with each step of the process, and he went above and beyond what was necessary to ensure that. The entire Cab Ex team did quality work and used quality products. They were well-organized, followed the schedule, and ensured we were happy with each step. They were professional and showed the utmost respect for our home. Our kitchen and bathroom turned out beautifully and we could not be more pleased with our decision to use Cabinets Extraordinaire.
EDITED REVIEW: I’d like to say the owner of Cabinets Extraordinaire just did an exceptional job of service recovery regarding my concern about a deposit refund for a design never delivered to us by a previous Cabinets Extraordinaire sales representative. He explained that this is NOT how Cabinets Extraordinaire does business, and that while the sales person we had initially worked with is no longer with the company, and although their files show a design had been done, they don’t know why we did not receive that design. Since we did not receive the design – the owner agrees that our request for the return of the deposit will be honored.Cabinets Extraordinaire did a Great Job of quickly and completely addressing my concern.INITIAL REVIEW:My husband had a “vision” of what he wanted for our (his!) Outdoor Kitchen. He did a little research online, and we visited Cabinets Extraordinaire, which was followed with an on-site meeting. We paid a deposit to have the sales rep price & create a plan for our small patio. From speaking with us, she knew the product we were looking at would be far above what we wanted to pay, and called the next day with the quote. We thanked her, but told her no thanks, telling her we would not be installing that kind of high-end kitchen. As we had not received any design or plans, only her call with a tentative product price, we asked her to please refund our deposit. We texted and called (leaving messages) several times over the following months, and never received a response. My husband (who has worked in customer service) finally got a human being at the store - and basically we’re out of luck. The manager doesn’t know why we were never sent the plans, but there would be no refund of our deposit whatsoever. Our response to that is that we would let others know to STEER CLEAR of Cabinets (not so) Extraordinaire. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE to say the least!(Good side of the story: thanks to recommendations from neighbors, we ended up working with another company and could not be happier! He and his team did a terrific job designing and installing an outdoor kitchen area that is just what we wanted, and “fits” our needs!)
Its a great place to get your kitchen and bathroom redesigned friendly staff very qualified
I knew we could work with Cabinets Extraordinaire from hello, after popping in at the beautiful showroom in Sarasota and meeting Design Consultant Dan Patton. I interviewed many contractors, but he “got me” right away and understood my vision for a “coastal modern cabana bath” renovation in my downtown Sarasota condo. Thanks to Dan’s expert guidance and support, design decisions were both swift and right on the mark—a bit of bold coupled with modern simplicity to achieve that casual elegance aesthetic we wanted. The on-budget result was wowsome!Project Managers Joe and Max are both well rounded in experience and were good communicators and problem solvers to boot. And Travis, our primary craftsman, was talented, diligent and organized.
I have had the pleasure of working with Dan Patton on a professional level during our days of painting and remodeling homes together. While working with Dan on various projects, he always took the lead to ensure the jobs were done to the highest quality standards, which meant paying attention to the finest details. Dan always had a vision during the remodel phase to create something unique and flowing, from one room to another. It was no surprise when Dan announced that he would be leaving the hands-on part of remodeling and stepping into the design phase. This seemed to be the perfect avenue for him to use his unique gift. Dan’s ability to look at a client’s kitchen or bathroom and see the many different possibilities sets him apart from the rest of the field. When I heard that he was partnering up with Cabinets Extraordinaire I could not have been happier. With Dan at Cabinets Extraordinaire - the premier company in the remodeling industry – it is a win-win for the client.
Our dream bathroom could not be found in a design book; we wanted an original dream design that created a feeling of peace and a place to escape life’s stress and fast pace.Quality materials and an artistic eye for detail is a must to pull off a custom design, and we put our trust to create our dream in Cabinets Extraordinaire. We can only tell you that all the work they did far exceeded our expectation of beautiful. All the people who helped make our dream come true were patient and partnering with us through the whole process. As you can imagine it is a meticulous process that can be daunting, but you have a sense of team through the whole project that makes it easier. Cabinets Extraordinaire have a personal stake in making your dream come true, since that is their passion and that is their business.Rest assured if you are thinking of a kitchen or bathroom and want the very best, you have found the company to make your dream come true.Nancy and Graham Pearson
We had a very positive experience with Cabinets Extraordinaire renovating the master bathroom in our condo on Longboat Key.. Very conscientious, creative and neat, and responded promptly to any questions we had. Thanks to everyone at Cabinets Extraordinaire - George
We live in Colorado and needed to work with someone in Sarasota to update and refresh our 1970s Siesta Key condo. We entrusted our entire remodeling project to Cabinets Extraordinaire. Jeremy Strong worked patiently with us through the design process, generously sharing his imaginative vision and invaluable knowledge of design, construction, products and materials. Joe Menna oversaw the construction project, attracting hardworking, well qualified subcontractors and assuring high quality work. What started out as a renovation of 2 bathrooms and a small kitchen ended up with what seems like a whole new condo - open, spacious, functional, easy to maintain - perfect for our needs. We couldnt be happier with the finished product.
We stopped by when we were next store buying some plumbing supplies. Without an appointment we met with Dave about replacing the vanities in our MBR and doing some additional work. As new owners of our house we had just finished doing a lot of work and we were burned out so we really wanted a turn key job. The work they did was excellent and to our amazement it was effortless for us. We had a tricky area for the install and the workmanship was perfect. The amount of communication from Lindsey and other staff was as good as it gets - it was high touch from beginning to end. We were impressed and we would highly recommend them. To our surprise when the job was over - the new owner, along with Dave came to the house with a gift and to see the finished product to make sure we were happy. It doesnt get any better than that.
Zero stars is my real rating for this business establishment. My husband and I visited the business store located at 5686 Fruitville Rd, Sarasota. We were interested in updating our bathroom and made an appointment with one of their designer consultant. The consultant never showed up and didnt even call. I called the consultant to find out what may have happened. The consultant said he had no appointment scheduled however I heard the store receptionist tell him he was available and the appointment was confirmed and then he gave me his business card which I recorded the date and time of the appointment. This is definitely the poorest customer service I have ever experienced for Sarasota.
Our experience with Cabinets Extraordinaire was fabulous. Dan, Joe, and all the subcontractors are true craftsmen...and artists...often making better that which we thought was fine. Moving from up north, we were a little nervous because we heard that Florida is notorious for unscrupulous contractors. If that is so, Cabinets Extraordinaire is a welcome oasis. Dan and Joe use the term Trust The Process, I can add to that by saying You Can Trust Them. Dont worry: If something goes wrong...or you dont like something...they will fix it. (But be realistic; dont expect them to defy the laws of physics). You can actually sit back and enjoy the renovation of your home. You may also wind up making some good friends.
I wish I could give zero stars. Please be careful before you work with anyone associated with this company.
Do yourself a favor and find another company. They took (11) months to complete my kitchen. I was told by Dave Molinaro their Sales Representative the cabinets were solid wood and even had an email confirming this selection. However, when Dave typed up the cabinet agreement he changed it to Melamine and did not inform me Bait & Switch and I signed the agreement unknowingly. Furthermore, he measured wrong for several cabinets and had different colors inside the cabinets. We went over everything with him and trusted when he wrote up the agreement all was correct - lesson learned! They had to order one door (3) times because they could not get it right. Customer service was horrendous and they did not even inform me the Sales Rep left their company. I finally called and said does Dave even work with you anymore and the receptionist said no. I was told my kitchen was such a disaster because it was possible the sales rep was over is head on this project - hence I thought this is why you have a supervisor. Bottom line my personally opinion is they cannot be trusted and provide poorly trained workers.
Im happy to recommend Cabinets Extraordinaire to anyone seeking a quality renovation or build-out from a quality company. Our designer, Jeremy Strong, carefully listened to what we wanted, and his design delivered exactly that. Joe Menna, our job manager, coordinated the work schedules and the inspections and kept us updated via BuilderTrend since we were not in residence while the work was being done. They and their staff went the extra mile for us more than once. Weve done other renovations--none have been done better or more professionally.
While the workmanship is extraordinaire, I was very impressed with the attitude and professionalism of all of the expert contractors brought in to remodel our bathrooms. It was a tremendous team. Thanks to Jeremy Strong, Joe Menna, and Andy Widowson for keeping the project organized, on target, and the outcome extremely beautiful and functional.
2017 Round 2 with Cabinets Extraordinaire. Another major renovation...our kitchen this time! Jeremy Strong and Joe Menna took our 1970s kitchen & turned it into a 2017 modern dream kitchen! Again, extraordinaire quality work and communication. We couldnt be happier! My husband, the chef, loves it so much that he even chooses to clean it up by himself. I gave myself a great gift in the process! I recommend them constantly!2015-We chose to work with Jeremy Strong and Cabinets Extraordinaire after careful consideration. They certainly werent the cheapest of the appraisals, but I felt they were the most honest and thorough with explanations. Our master bathroom renovation would require creative ideas, extensive work involving wall removal and new plumbing requiring changes in the cement foundation. Jeremy came up with a terrific design, yet was always receptive to my own ideas also. Joe Menna took charge with construction and the entire process was very easy to live with. All the subcontractors were professional, on-time and personable...AND they all cleaned up each day after themselves. Communication was so easy...Jeremy or Joe always got back to me immediately when I had questions or concerns. The finished master bathroom is a dream. I wouldnt change a thing. We got exactly what we paid for...quality!
I was relatively new to the Sarasota area. I wanted to renovate my kitchen. I decided to start with appliances. I went to Jessups to have a look around. I lucked out with a lovely sales person. I asked if he could recommend a cabinet company. He gave me two names. I went to Cabinets Extraordinaire first. After my initial meeting with their designer Jen Brown I knew I needn’t look further. She was so receptive to my ideas and what I wanted to incorporate into the design of my new kitchen. She was so particular and detail oriented. Her design was beyond my expectations. We spent a lot of time choosing cabinet style, back splash tiles and countertop materials. When it came time to install the countertops we went to the stone company and helped decide where the cuts and seams should be. The project commenced at my timeline. The team set up barriers to confine demolition and reconstruction mess. They were professional talented craftsmen and respectful of me. I credit Jerry Schanz the project manager for the way it all turned out. He was so particular about every detail. He handled the team and work schedule to keep the project progressing seemlessly. Whenever I suggested a minor change he was always receptive. He also problem solved whenever things didn’t come together as planned. He would always come up with a better solution. To say that I’m pleased with the results of my new kitchen is an understatement. I’m still in awe of the transition. I have additional projects I’d like to do in the future and won’t hesitate to contact Cabinets Extraordinaire.Dolores StevensLongboat Key
Working with vendors on project. Yet to be determined if they are up to my expectations. Showroom products look fantastic!
Wonderful group of people!
