We went to SRQ Customs to purchase a wiring harness for our new truck stereo. We pulled up and saw a couple if guys working in the garage and they both came out right away and not only gave us exactly what we needed but, they also explained in detail what we needed to do. I was very impressed with their service and knowledge! I highly recommend this place!

Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Paid $1,500 for speakers,subs, and an amp. Two weeks later after the installation they were blown. Thinking it was the manufacturers problem I got new ones but they then blew again a few weeks later. Now on my 3rd set of speakers and took my car to another shop where they told me the amp was turned to max power on every setting, instead of being properly tuned, causing all the speakers to blow. Would not return to this place or recommend

This is the best audio shop in Sarasota. Takes time to get in touch with them but like many businesses in the area they are experiencing major delays and volume and are just pretty booked out. Be patient they will get back to you and believe me its worth it. Theyve done 3 of my Durangos. The third is an SRT Hellcat durango and the new power amp and custom dual 10 sub box is the best audio sound Ive ever heard. SRQ was able to remove my trunk storage compartment without making any cuts to the interior and filled its space with a custom built 10 sub box, so my trunk is completely flat for any loading and the box does not obstruct trunk storage whatsoever. If you didnt hear it and I didnt show you, you wouldnt even know they were there. Best shop in town, 15/10 work!

Set an appointment 9 days in advance for an install in my new truck. I agreed to the time and price, and asked for details to be sent to me. Over the 9 days I called many many times, with no answer and I started texting asking if the subs we in and ready for install. The day of I finally get a reply of “I don’t have you in my schedule”. I replied with details of our conversation and they never responded. As many reviews already state, this company is a joke and not professional at all. I’m honestly relieved to be spending my money somewhere else

After finding them on the Internet i called to ask what changes they could make for a more custom fit for my bmw. So we came up facing the woofers toward the rear seats at an v angle to put more sound into the car through ski port. What he sent me wasnt what i agreed over the phone and in a descriptive reminder at the time of purchase on the website. Once i contacted him about this his response was bass is omni directional and it should still be ok,so i test fitted the box and as you can see from the trunk looks perfect but there not even clearance for the woofers his response to me wanting to return it was push the box back witch would leave a gap around the edge of the box and get rid of that clean look in the trunk.so i guess i can take my box and jump in a lake.

I am extremely happy with the way my car system sounds!!! Ryan and his team went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the final product! They easily offer the best solutions in town and at a great price. I recommend!! They are extremely busy so I would recommend texting the main phone number!

Bringing JOY to the Rock and Roll World! Second system installed by Ryan and his team for us. First was for an Infiniti G35 a few years ago and now a F150. This shop is just so impressive. Give Ryan your budget and he’ll set you up with the best audio equipment possible. They know their business! Ryan’s right hand man Cody did the honors on the truck and did an impeccable job on the install. He built and tuned a factory grade plus sub box from scratch for a Kicker L7T 10 and replaced the existing factory speakers with Arc Audio component speakers along with a pair of AudioControl amps. Night and day! Van Halen never sounded so darn sweet! System is completely dope!! Not only was the final job and system perfect, Cody went a long extra mile to get the project done on the promised date. He came in at 12 midnight and worked until 6am to get the job done on time. He had been pulling double duty for Ryan who was out for an unexpected absence. He went home to sleep for 4 hours and then returned to hand off the truck with a smile. You can tell he loves building these systems and takes great pride in his work. You won’t find a better audio shop in the country, I am convinced of that 100%.

SRQ Custom Autosound Honest Review: I came to Ryan with my boat and truck back in August two years ago. It was a full custom job and it took awhile to tell how well it would hold up. Not only did he meet my budget but he gave me an incredible deal, so cheap I’m not going to put the price. He put four speakers on my boat and a very nice head unit that sounds amazing with a sufficient preamp as he explained. He also required my truck and got the buzz out of the door speakers. The work has held up and I almost feel like going back and paying him a few hundred dollars more. It’s one thing when it’s good out of the gate, but it takes a lot of skill to keep my audio 100% and never miss a beat over the long haul and with saltwater exposure. Thank you Ryan and crew, you are truly the best audio specialists in town!!

Placed an order on the website, received email order confirmation and that was all. Waited a week for tracking or any kind of update. calling texting emailing messaging on social media no answers. After waiting 1 month I called my credit card company and opened a dispute, they advised the dispute would close if I got my package or if not I would get a refund. Next day I get a text from SRQ demanding that I close the dispute because he wont get paid, and stated that he had already shipped out the order/ package. The tracking provided had just been created fed ex had not received anything. After 2 months I have finally been able to text back and forth but to no avail. Will update if resolved. as of now this looks like a scam

Great custom work on my 1954 Oldsmobile. The touch screen went bad during an engine rebuild and Ryan didn’t hesitate to replace with a new head unit! Awesome!

Made numerous calls for help with my system that was installed by this third rate company, trying to get in touch to let them know that the system they installed is not working. No return phone call, So they tell you to send a text message to get a faster response so I send a text message and I get no response it’s like they don’t exist they did the work they got paid now the equipment doesn’t work and they don’t want to respond what a terrible company what a way to do business if I don’t respond the problem will just go away no it won’t

Best car audio shop I have ever worked with. As someone who has been in the automotive electrical field for years these guys are the only shop I would trust with any of my own vehicles. These guys are amazing! Not the cheapest shop around but well worth the cost of labor. If you want the best for your car or boat, these are the guys to call.

Stand up guys who do great work, Ryan is by far one of the best installers and fabricators Ive met in the area. Ive know him since 2010 when he was still at the old location. He seems to have less and less time to spend talking and enjoying audio as he used to but he earned that right and hes always been a somewhat quiet guy so I know its not intentional

Ryan and his crew are just freaking incredible! We bought a 2 camera video system for the inside of our horse trailer and 2 fans. We brought them to Ryan to install. His first remark - we really dont have good luck with stuff like that. Well, he installed them anyway and wired the fans to 2 of the 4 factory auxiliary switches in our newly owned F250 4x4. He then placed the 10 color LCD display for the cameras, expertly on the floor in the center of the cabs front seats - totally out of the way. Its been over 2 months now and everything is still working perfectly. The wiring harness he installed in our Truck looks like it came from the factory, all the wires have a anti-rub sheath on them and it really looks nice. We can even unmount the LCD screen and hold it in our lap and watch the horses in the back. The wiring in the trailer you cannot even see. He ran conduit inside the trailer and again it looks like it came from the factory!!He and his crew did a incredible job and we would highly recommend him and his staff for anything!! Oh and by the way, he did this in 1 day on a very short notice right before his vacation - so he totally went out of his way for us! Way to go Ryan, will send you as much business as we can and thank you for getting done on such short notice.

Not ever having done any audio work on my car, I didnt really know what to expect. I had called ahead for a quote, and the quote they gave me was what I paid. They replaced my two front speakers while I waited in their nice lobby it was great. Love my speakers and their service.

A few months ago I brought my car into SRQ Customs to have the entire audio system upgraded. Immediately, I noticed a huge improvement to the quality and clarity of the sound in my car. Unfortunately, the system would occasionally shut off, sometimes for hours, and then come back on again, seemingly at random. As you might imagine, I was pretty irritated. I let Ryan know about the issue and he told me to bring the car by so he could have a look. It took an afternoon, but Ryan traced the issue to a short in one of the speakers, a defect from when it was manufactured. He swapped out the faulty part and had the system up and running again in no time. Now Im back with another one of those block rockin beats!

Not a very good first impression. Google says they open at 9. Arrive 9:30 and sign says by appointment only. Call phone # and unable to leave a message. Find an open bay only to be told to move because it’s trash day. Next

The guys did a great job with our van. We wanted screens in the seats for the kids to watch and they showed us a few different options to help us get what we wanted. Put jeep sub and stereo.now boat stereo.They have fixed my dual stabilizer arms that were instaul wrong from jeep place.. price is fair and they are excellent at what they do .they also instaulled lights under tires and lights in the rims ..after all this I will be returning.

Upgraded the OEM stereo in my 2019 Toyota Tacoma. Kept the head unit but replaced speakers and amp. Great job that made a huge difference in sound from my stock JBL unit.

SRQ Customs installed a viper alarm and remote start on my Tundra pickup. They did a great job, and even drove me home and picked me up, saving $50 on a rental car. Very personal, great work, Ill be talking to them next week about parking sensors.

My Business Partner and I brought a 2016 Ford Transit Passenger Van to them to install a head unit 3 sets of speakers, subs, amps, and a backup camera system. The sales experience was stress-free. They were reasonable in their pricing and when we left the vehicle I was very happy with the process. But when I picked it up, I was blown away at the quality of work they had done. All of the components were hidden, giving it a more stock look, but when you turned the system on, it was incredible. I have been a local business owner for 20 years in Sarasota and can honestly say they deliver on what they promise. We will definitely be a repeat customer. No one answers the phone, I called 5 times spread out 10 minutes each, there was no one physically at the shop either when they were supposed to be open.

Fast. Honest, Reliable what else can I say. Dont waist time dealing with anyone else.

Just called to get some information. Was told the problem could probably be diagnosed in an hour and they could send me in the right direction. For $80/hr I expect something to actually get done, so my natural reaction to the lack of competence at such a steep price rewarded me with the response, Well you cant figure it out to which I simply replied, That wasnt a very nice thing to say and then was hung up on. VERY VERY disappointed with your unprofessional customer service skills.

SRQ ordered the wrong double din bezel mod for my corvette from third party. Took FOREVER to try to get it resolved. Many calls to Ryan before a call would be answered or returned. Ended up keeping the incorrect bezel because I did not want to wait another 8-10 weeks. Substandard install. Brought car back in for correction. Only slight improvement. Bezel and radio still not centered.

Had them put alarm in car and it has given me trouble since day one. They say they fixed it but they didnt. Car locks me out then valet mode doesnt work. They say it is the alarm but refuse to fix/change it. Viper says they dont know how to install the alarm right or fix it. Dont get a alarm installed at srq customs.

Had a new audio system installed in a Jaguar, they did a great job, beautiful installation and the end price came in lower than they had quoted me.Very professional people.

UPDATE - 1/13/14 I took my vehicle back to add a second sub plus enclosure, and then again a few weeks later to add an Audison Bit Ten processor. As a former high-end retail manager, I know the value of providing good customer service and products. 1,000 good service calls can be negated by just one poor job. With that said, on the last install, an estimate was given to me. I expected the estimate to be accurate. However, I also expect that some times, to my irritation, the estimate will be different than promised. This was one of those times, with the exception that the estimate was different to my delight. When I arrived to pick up my car, the total amount was $200 LESS than promised. WHAT?!? I was shocked and appreciative. Not only was the second (and third) install clean and professional, I was given a complete and thorough demonstration and instruction on the use of the products. Again, my expectations were by far exceeded. Great job, guys. My sister will be purchasing an aftermarket system. I told her not to waste time even looking at the other shops. Honesty, integrity, and quality....its what every business should strive to achieve. He explained the product in detail, offered reviews of the product, pictures of their completed work on other vehicles, and showed me their custom installation shop. It was meticulously clean and professional. Their products were clearly marked with information and prices, and all were ready to demonstrate. A comfortable couch was there for listening to each product. The other shops were ready to install a pre-built non-fitted box in my car. Donny told me he would build one from scratch and make it look like it was installed at the factory. I decided to move ahead with my purchase. It sure looks like it came from the factory that way, but it sure doesnt sound like it. Clean install, professional behavior, ethical, hard working, dedicated to their craft. These guys arent just installers, they are skilled craftsmen and technicians. Im thrilled and impressed. My expectations were by FAR exceeded. Thank you guys!!!! I went to this place to get a blue tooth system put into my car.They installed a Transit Blue HF system in my car and were done in less than 30 minutes, when they told me it would take several hours. So my day was thrown off by having scheduled more time that it actually took.In addition they charged me $270 for the system,when all online retailers list it for under $115!!!!They charged me a full hour labor.I can understand a bit of a mark up to account for staff, their building, etc, etc. The online places certainly couldnt have install it for me. But a 100% mark up is a bit much.I wont be using them for any other car stereo business.

A++ for this guys!!!! Been going there for 2 years for all my electronics car needs. They installed a viper alarm with smartstart and automatic windows form my remote, full sound system and dynamat . Anytime Ive ever had an issue with blowing a subwoofer or, glitches with my alarm they take care of it right away . They do the highest quality work you will find In the industry and have great customer service too which in this line of work is hard to come by . Ive recommended this guys to 3 of my close friends and they were all very satisfied and pleased with their work too . I wouldnt trust anyone else with my car, Srq customs is #1
