I really wanted to love it.. but it wasn’t that good unfortunately! The drip was a bit too smokey and the shot was over extracted! I will definitely be back and give it another try next time I visit!

Mocha latte was delicious! The Aussie bite was a perfect compliment to it! A pretty smooth not too punchy with mocha and coffee tho😌 a bit hard to find parking and not too many spots to sit if you bring a child with you😊friendly baristas

Being such a passionate coffee person I love finding new shops in places like Sarasota that specialize in making quality coffee and espresso based drinks Breaking Wave is one of them. Check it out !Today my parents and I enjoyed a amazing, smooth and balanced Cortado, Flat white latte and a macchiato. I believe that well made coffee speaks louder than words and these three left me speechless. We will be back for sure. They delivered some gorgeous latte art to. 👍😁

The fact that they still serve coffee in a mug deserves a five star review by itself! So hard to find coffee shops that still use mugs instead of paper cups. The cappuccino was incredible, the artwork excellent, and the iced coffee delicious. Get an Apple turnover to top off the perfect experience.

Sat outside and enjoyed my flavored iced latte with almond milk. I love trying local coffee shops when I travel and I really enjoyed this one. It’s located right next door to another one so I’ll have to try that next time but there’s lots of seating inside this one and a few tables to sit outside.

Great little spot near the water in Sarasota. Very flavorful coffee and not in the least bit acidic. Very chill name #forthebrand, and it’s very impressive to see a near 5 star rating with as many reviews as they have. Good stuff, nice work out there guys

Absolutely excellent espresso and incredibly friendly staff. The best Ive had in Sarasota. I had a quad shot vanilla latte with whole milk. They have milk alternatives if you prefer. For people that love the taste of coffee, this is your place.Dont get it confused with O&A coffee, which is right next door. Breaking Wave is tucked in a little bit. So good!

Tried this coffee spot while out and about downtown Sarasota with the kids bc mama needed a quick pick me up. Coffee was good, but what made this place even better was the barista that helped us. He was super helpful and actually played/joked with our kids. I thought hed be annoyed with them (usual attitude we get at some places) but he was so kind with them. They had a great time just talking to him and playing coffee shop with him. Sure made it a lot more relaxing for this tired mama even if it was just a few minutes. When people go out of their way to be kind, it says a lot about them!! Well be back and will be recommending this to our friends ➕family.

The best coffee I’ve had in Sarasota. I’m originally from Seattle so I can be pretty picky about the quality of my coffee. The coffee shop is modern but has warm minimalist feel. The pastries are superb, always fresh and very delicious! Highly recommend :)

If you want coffee this is a good place to go... no frills menu that is to the point without the 3 dozen high calorie/sugar options of other chain locations.... straight and to the point.

Breaking Wave Cafe is a breath of fresh air that was designed with incredible care!The cafe is in the perfect location with a detailed interior & logo that would look incredible on merch.The coffee tasted so nice that I got a second glass. I am really looking forward to coming again one day soon.

I liked the cold brew, although I was the tiniest bit sad they were out of nitro because that’s what I really wanted. It’s very spacious right now, though they might have removed some tables to assist with social distancing. The menu is classic coffeehouse, no frills.

BEST coffee I have ever had in the world so far (and yes I’ve been in the world lol).What makes this place even better is the fact that they serve these amazing baked goods that are to die for! No, to kill for (figuratively)!We were vacationing in the Sarasota area and were recommended to go to this place. We went to get some work done and just couldn’t stop thinking about the coffee and danishes.So.... on our way back home (17 hour road trip) we decided to go back and have one last taste of the amazingness! Oh, I hope that someday we can come back here!! (Recommend: iced latte with the apple turnover or cherry danish)Thanks guys for having such an awesome atmosphere and such great coffee with danishes.

I loved the coffee, had a cappuccino. I appreciate different flavors of coffee, this place had exactly what I was craving. I got tired of the Starbucks, Dunking Donuts coffee, The beans are freshly brewed, the aroma of coffee transport you to a coffee heaven. I also bought a little Cookie made out of flour and lots of seeds and grains, it was worth the whole dollar. I appreciate the friendliness of the barista. This is my go to coffee ☕️ shop from now on.

Coffee no taste...people working Saturday morning. More interested in talking to themselves than actually engaging with customers. Very cheap with condiments. And just overall business like. Not customer friendly..been there twice. Gave it a second shot. Will be last..from what I can see tourists or local who want to stay Very close and not get a really good cupof Coffee

Hmmm, Im so tired of ordering an espresso drink and getting tea. This is definitely a light roast shop. If you are looking for a dark roast, look elsewhere.

Just went for the first time with a friend, this place is amazing! He had a good variety of coffee available, I got the flat white and it was delicious, plus he did latte art in it!! My friend and I each got a croissant which were fantastic. And its located just a block or two away from Bayfront park, so its perfect for having a treat and strolling around!

Ordered iced coffee and an iced dirty chai. The coffee was delicious, very flavorful and fruity. Chai was not too sweet as I like. Definitely recommended spot for high quality coffee.

What a gem of a coffee shop in downtown Sarasota.I just stumbled upon this cute shop a few weeks ago and have already became a regular. The coffee is of excellent quality. The barista, who is also the owner, is there every day making sure every cup is served with love. Just going there I can see how much pride goes into this shop and to me that makes it an amazing find! I highly recommend this shop if youre looking for good quality coffee in a warm, friendly atmosphere.

Craft coffee lives here. The espresso is the best that I’ve found in Sarasota and the attention to detail of the barista is a sure sign of how the rest of the counter is run. If you’re looking for a more complex espresso, with notes of cherry and lighter acidity, then this is your coffee shop.
