I dont normally leave reviews like this but my hope is that this will save someone the frustration me and my husband have had to deal with. I have emailed the company several times and they dont seem to want to help us. My husband and I decided we needed a fence to protect our new dog. I noticed many positive reviews for this company so we went with them. This fence was installed in mid March. After a very short time we started noticing splits in the wood, black lines on the fence, and panels coming apart from the fence. You can see in one picture that the nail isnt even in the wood. After a phone call with Brian and a few emails with Jarret we were told that the black lines was caused by the staples mixing with moisture and a better staple would have prevented that. We were NOT told this prior to purchasing the fence. Not about the better staple or the potential for the black lines. In the last email which was 2 weeks ago (7/23/20) I was told he would set up something to come look. We havent heard anything since then. Not only is the craftsmanship unacceptable but their unwillingness to help us is too. As I told Jarret we are on a fixed income and a fence that cost almost 4 grand is a very big purchase for us. I know that there are positive reviews for this company. Maybe when its a certain type of fence its ok. But if there is a problem you may be on your own. I tried to be cordial too. We just wanted them to help us. We are unsure what we are going to do at this point. Maybe call another fencing company to fix what they left us with. I hope everyone is staying safe.Debbie

I called H&Y Fence on August 6th to schedule an onsite fence repair estimate. I was told the earliest available appointment date was 3 weeks out. I asked to be placed on a cancellation list in the event that a sooner opening appeared.I called on August 19th to check status. The person with whom I spoke conferred with an associate and I was told they would check scheduling and call me back (never received a call back).I called again today, August 27th, explained the situation and was told an appointment was never recorded for me on the 6th. The soonest appointment, as of today, is a FULL MONTH out, (end of September).Better to experience a companys lack of professionalism and responsiveness before you sign an agreement. Buyer Beware.

Alfredo and Sam did a great job. They got here at noon, ate their lunch and then installed 190 feet of fence with three gates by 4:30. They ask for my input where needed and cleaned up their mess and some that I had made. Delivery was on time as promised. Altogether an excellent job!!

These guys at this company are great love them all they helped my family out we just moved to my new home we have to wait for HOA approval etc etc and they help me out with a small temporary area for my animals for my babies my pets are loved ones and they did it with the hesitation theyre amazing I give them a five out of five on communication 5 out of 5 on customer support 5 out of 5 ones just general workmanship. I hired H&Y Fence Company in December 2017. They told me in the very beginning due to hurricane Irma and all the demand there would be a few months delay. Two months later my job was started and completed in just one day. The fence is gorgeous. Nathan was the lead guy on the job. Nathan was communicative, professional, polite and he even text me images of my fence. They did a outstanding job. I highly recommend H&Y Fence Company.

Have been waiting for 32 feet of wood fence since February. Cant seem to get an answer on when it is to be installed. Was told 10 weeks. That time has come and gone. And still I wait. Not happy at all with H&Y fence.

Are whole experience with this company was great. The salesman was timely and very professional. The installation crew did a fantastic job in and out in one day and I had a little over 400 feet of fence done with one regular gate and a 10ft gate. They did a great job at spreading the dirt around the bottom edge because I have a little dog and it was important to me that there were not big gaps underneath. I would highly recommend H&Y Fence!!

I tried to just ignore the poorly installed fence but it is so bad and has just got even worse over the last few months. Fence is crooked! Gate sags and has huge gaps between the post and the gate panels because let alone its CROOKED, it is poorly spaced apart. I highly recommend going with anyone else because paying top dollar to a highend company did not work out for me. Very very disappointing.Note to Everyone: H&y just subs out the installation to the cheapest installer, H&Y doesnt do in house work they are just a fence parts supplier. I was not aware of this until the installer showed up and he was from Jacksonville area.

The install team were truly precision craftsmen, and the fence materials (cypress) and construction are high quality. Mikes professionalism and the reasonable proposal, compared to other submitted bids, convinced us to go with H&Y. The installation was done by a 1-man crew. I would like to recommend H&Y Fence for a job ‘well done’. My corner lot in Venice East was fenced with vinyl 6’ fencing with three gates on October 15, 2018, by Norm and his two-man crew in 6 & 1/2 hours. I built fences for income in college, so I watched the complete process. They came prepared with all necessary materials and concrete for post holes. I requested a level top ( not ground contour)And it was done perfectly. Everyone knew his role and executed with a little discussion. A 6 inch error in my certified survey, caused Norm to pull and reposition 10 post. He took it in stride and insisted on correctness and quality. NO attitude issues - WOW! The team carefully cleaned up the fence and grounds before leaving.A couple of other observations: H&Y answered their phone every time I called; Their staff was very polite and helpful; they show up for appointments on time; there sales consultant brought real solid suggestions to the process and drew a detailed solution that was followed carefully buy the install team.When you read fence company reviews, it can be pretty intimidating with unresolved problems.H&Y came off good in reviews and delivered for me.

Our company and myself have used H&Y Fence over many years. In the last year or so we have been using them quite a bit for various fencing needs in our mobile home parks of Orange Acres and Cedar Cove. We have had them install various products including wood, PVC, and SimTek fencing. Most recently they finished another great job at one of our pools.We have also had several different crews with our various fence installs. Each crew has always done an excellent job and is very conscious of how well the fence looks and always strives to meet our expectations.Jerry and his team are always good about communicating with us about quotes and scheduling of installs. I love my new fence. Everything looks amazing. New gate is nice and solid. The guy I spoke to that was doing the install brought up some issues that he may have. Told him I didnt care so much about visual appeal as far as the the being aligned through the dips in yard. My main concern was being set to the ground to secure the dogs. When I came home and saw it completed it is perfect. Not a single gap or uneven panel anywhere. Its perfect. The guys set the fence exactly like I wanted and it looks great. I love it. We have used H & Y for a few jobs at our house. H & Y has met and surpassed our needs and their customer service is unbeatable. Our most recent job required matching replacement fence panels, to ensure they would blend seamlessly with the existing fencing. The panels were not quite correct (by no fault of H & Y), so the owner Jerry, came out to our house himself and corrected the panels, at no additional charge. Highly recommended!

Received phone call 5 minutes ago. Said they be here around 10 am this morning. If they do that than a 4 is well desired. One of the most important aspect of business is communication. If companies can accomplish this all companies would get 4 or better rating.

I am leaving the low score mostly for their lack of customer service. They wrongly installed the gate-opening mechanism on the fence that my renters use. I called H&Y a half dozen times only to be told that they couldnt do anything for me. I finally got angry enough that the owner called, came to my home a week later, saw the mechanism and said they installed it wrong! He improved it a bit but it was still a completely unfinished mechanism without a handle or easy way to operate. He said if I wanted an actual opening handle I had to pay another $100. Fine, please give me one of those. Well...that was the last time I saw the owner or anyone else. They never brought me the functioning handle. Now the defunct mechanism has completely jammed and wont open at all. I called H&Y and was told the owner would call me back. Shocker, no call.Horrible lack of customer service. Now I have to call another fence company to finish H&Ys job that I paid $2,000 for. Ive seen a lot of other fence companies with a very high number of 5 star reviews. Look for them and pass on H&Y or the day you write them a check will be the last day you see them.

We had a large vinyl fence put in. H&Y was great to work with as we decided what we wanted. They arrived early and worked hard to finish the job in 2 days. They left the yard clean and the fence looks great! Prices are competitive with the other companies we got estimates from, but Jarrett was helpful and made us decide to go with H&Y.

Jerry was fantastic to work with. The work was done properly, on time and as advertised. I even altered the plan the day of the install and they made it work well above my expectations. I have already referred them to multiple friends and if I ever need another fence, they will be the first call.

I REGRET HIRING H & Y FENCE! They tried to cancel on me on the day of installation. Then they left a HUGE mess in my backyard and said they would compensate me for it and they never did. I even dealt with the owner and he didnt keep his word. I would NEVER recommend company.

Excellant they ordered in what I needed Friday and I picked everything up the following Monday to complete my fence, Great to deal with to Justin was very helpful.

Very disappointed. Eric promised delivery for a small fencing job to be delivered last Wed. Despite the higher price based on two other quotes, I paid to have the job completed ahead of the lower priced options. Last Wed turned into Thursday, then Friday, now Monday (today) and nothing. I spoke with Eric who has no info other than to take my name and number and have the owner Jerry call me. Guess what - no surprise, and no phone call. They have half my money and I can do nothing but learn from the experience. And I still have two more properties requiring all new fencing. Fortunately, I tried these guys on a small job. JERRY JUST CALLED BACK - Gates now ready, still later than promised but he offered to drive the completed gate to me - saving an hour drive round trip. All in all, very pleased.

We reached out to 4 different companies...one never called back, one came and never contacted after quote....H & Y answered the phone on the first ring...they set up an appointment for an estimate on the spot, even though we had to wait 2 weeks. The estimator showed up on time, understood the job, broke everything down as requested. We hired H&Y, paid 50% deposit and then set about waiting for the lead time on fence jobs. Four days ago, I just checked in...we were at the 1/2 way mark to tentative installation. I was asked to call back in a week to set up a date forour new fence. We got a call the next day and on Wednesday, our new fence was in! What a fantastic crew, efficient, knowledgable, nice and once they were done our property not only has a new look but nothing was left lying around after the job was complete. Have been waiting over 5 weeks and given 3 broken promises for my fence order to arrive. Its beyond me how these people stay in business. Youd be foolish to believe anything Jerry tells you. Their 5 star ratings from other people seem very suspicious given the fact they are so incompetent. Even though this first order was small (about $1000) I emphasized I would be ordering over $15,000 in PVC fencing from them. Apparently a $15,000 order doesnt mean much to them since they treated me like I was a nobody. Update: fence parts arrived (without notice) 5 1/2 weeks after I ordered them and after they were notified by my credit card company I was refusing to pay. I refused delivery. Since I got tired of waiting I ordered from another company. As I mentioned, the 5 star reviews are suspicious since their customer service and follow up are so disappointing.

We hired H&Y fence company in Nov. of 2017. They told us up front that due to hurricane Irma there would be a few months delay in doing the job. A couple of months went by and like they said, the job was started in Jan 2018 and completed in just a day. We had 55 plus sections of white vinyl and 3 gates installed around our house. Norm Schrock, the foreman Henrique and Efren did the job. They were the most polite and professional people that I have met in quite sometime. The attention to detail was the best. Norm made sure everything lined up perfectly. I asked him before the job was started to install the fencing as if it was his own. And he did just that. We could not be happier.
