A treasure trove of spices, prepared foods, mixes - both Mediterranean and Indian. Not sure if the people who helped us today are the owners (they were so nice and knowledgable), so helpful! I cannot wait to go back to prepare myself for learning new cooking methods. Highest of recommendations!

It was my first time visiting Bismillah Groceries Inc. I came to buy some cake rusks for my 87-year-old mother. I found exactly what I wanted very quickly. The owner was so kind and helpful. We also had a great talk about what is happening in Asia - he was so knowledgeable! He even helped me carry my bags outside and courteously greeted my mother. I live in Orlando and was only visiting Sarasota. Sure wish I had a Bismillah where I am!

Love this grocery. Lots of basic spices and herbs. Also, pre mixed spices for many dishes. Store ower very knowledgeable and very helpful.

The place is nice and clean. Owner Saif-ur-Rehman is polite and helpful. They have most of Indian/Pakistani spice. Also, sell halal frozen meat, cut, cleaned and frozen. If you want some fresh food cooked, they will cook it for you as well.

The owner is very helpful. I’m new to Indian cooking and had a long list. She helped me find everything and then gave me great tips. The store, however, is small and everything is cramped and looks untidy.

Very friendly market with several spices, varieties of rice and other ingredients from India, and the Middle East.

Spoiled products, very expensive, very old meat & purposely products not marked with price labels, so when you check out, you have a huge bill. Unacceptable.

Indian grocery store in Sarasota. Has everything you need, all masalas, chutneys, curries, etc. They also have a lot of instant Indian meals. They also have a lot of middle eastern and Mediterranean items. They get fresh meat in every Friday. They also cook homestyle Indian food for takeout if you want to taste Indian food that hasnt been anglicized and doesnt have all the extra cream and butter that restaurants typically add..

They are really well mannered persons.

Wonderful line of groceries, gifts, and essentials for mideastern hala cooking, the store is clean, laid out well allowing handicapped access. The couple that own the store are lovely, good people. Helpful, polite and friendly. Wonderful atmosphere with good prices! A must shop location!

Great Indian market in Sarasota. Most everything you would be looking for, including middle eastern spices.

Little pricy as I was expecting, nothing crazy. Good selection as well. Easy to find and enough parking space there. Nice atmosphere, not too congested.

This store is full of ingredients. I was overwhelmed by the choice. I found exactly what I needed and the service is great! Reasonably priced as well.

I dont know what I would do with out this store in Sarasota. I find everything I need to make delicious Palestinians Desert and dishes. Its definitely not just an Indian store, they have many many middle eastern selections. I love there dried chick peas I made some of my best hummus with them, there olives are very tasty. If you never been I would defiantly make a trip for an awesome culinary experience. There prices are very reasonable. Hope they stick around for ever.

Excellent place to find species and food from Middle Eastern countries as well as India and Bangladesh. The person that helped me was very knowledgeable of different condiments by country and suggested different options. She told me they also sell grass-fed chickens and other meats on Fridays.The variety and costs beats Whole Foods Markets. A real authentic place.Glad we are expanding our cultural horizons in Sarasota!

Excellent selection of Indian/Pakistani foodstuffs of all sorts. Halal available. Apparently, prepared food is available on the weekends; not considered when scoring.

Decent selection of authentic Indian groceries, but no fresh items such as produce, meat or fish. They do have some frozen items, however. The guy working there was friendly and helpful.

They have a wide selection of Turkish food products. Their dairy offerings are especially good. Many childhood favourite cookies are there too. Dont miss the frozen pastries in the corner.

Called this past weekend to buy Lamb meat, sent my mother to get it. he said he or the owner said was out at first. then she came back with some lamb meat. (FRESH) LAMB MEAT) when we started marinading it this week. It started to smell bad! God knows how long that Lamb meat was out until it started to go back then put in the freezer to save it. Who would sell bad meat when you have kids to feed $20 spent in the WRONG PLACE!

Good place to get spices and condiments. Only place around for a bit with a selection of authentic Indian dishes. All that you need to prepare an Indian meal.

Had a great selection. Family owned. They were so nice. I went in with a Indian recipe and they helped me find all the ingredients. The owner even called his wife and had her explain to me the authentic way to cook the item. It came out sooo much better than the internet directions/recipe. They will even order anything you need.

This is a life saver. There are hardly any indian groceries in the region. You get the basic spices and basic groceries. Dont expect any vegetables, fish or meat.

Its a good store just hard on parking but its a recommended place if you looking to buy pakistani or indian recipe

While most things seemed fine I was told by two people (one guy I can only assume was the owner) that the store does not carry annatto....

Great service! and delicious food. But ill make it clear this is a middle Easter kind of store, although its technically asian it does not have the Korean/Chinese/Japanese kind of food most of us associate with asian.

They are selling expired noodles called “patanjali atta noodles”.. I got stomach pain after eating this, I checked cover of this noodles it was MFG in 03/2017 so as per today’s date this product is expired and been +10 months after expiry period...

A lot of the middle eastern treats and ingredients that are hard to find. A bit pricey which makes sense seeing its from overseas.
