We dropped off an antique-looking cabinet with integrated lighting and were able to come pick it up the next day. The cabinet was rewired and it works great for a very reasonable price. Very knowledgeable and friendly people. Happy to support their business!

I needed a tiny lamp fuse that was impossible to find. Then I remembered visiting a very friendly local store several years ago. Luckily Light Source was still in business under the same ownership. They had the fuse I needed and fixed another lamp with a minor problem. Its so refreshing to deal with friendly, helpful people who really know their business. They stock a zillion parts and their repair services are very reasonable. The selection of lamps, chandeliers, lamp shades, finials, etc. is amazing. Very highly recommend them for all your lighting needs.

Ive had them rewire an antique chandelier and rewire a table light. They do a fantastic job and timely. Also had 2 floor lamps rewired since. They are very knowledgable and helpful.

This chandelier had seen it’s better days being moved from house to house over many years. With tremendous sentimental value, it was carefully packed away with the plan to “someday” have it brought back to it’s original splendor. With the new home almost to completion, we sought out Light Source for the task. Miguel and Evelia were beyond fantastic! The restoration was quoted, the process took less time than imagined, the actual cost was less than the original quote and the restored chandelier looks even better than we could have imagined.

Went there to get my moms lamp fixed (which was beyond my incredible mechanical ability!) and he did such good and fast work l felt guilty not buying a few things on the way out! And their expertise in helping me change the shape of the shade to better fit the room and use was soooo helpful. Its my new go to place!

Very grateful to have found Light Source. Louise repaired my contemporary Italian floor lamp within 24 hours. Part of the fixture broke and the lamp was hanging together by one electrical cord. The pick up/delivery and onsite consultation was well worth since I was unable to leave my home. How lucky to have such experience, expertise, professionalism in Sarasota. Highly recommended, especially for high value, delicate, and unusual lighting pieces.

Completely wrecked my table lamp! He screwed it too tight cracking the base. Then proceeded to repair it with glue. Glue now smeared across the glossy black and chrome surface. Thick glue residue along the seams and glue has dried white on the cracked black base. He did not apologize and did not take ownership of the damage done.

Decent work but the weird Christian stuff was a turn off.

This is a great little shop. The have EVERY lamp part you could ever want - harps, finials, you name it. And the owner is exceptionally expert in fixing old beloved lamps. Plus they have a huge selection of shades. Highly recommended!

About a year ago- fixed a floor lamp that had basically broken in half because the threads where the pole screwed together were stripped. Did an excellent job. I thought I was going to have to throw the lamp away. I should have written review then, but didnt think of it until today, when I am taking another lamp there with a switch problem.

The owner helped extend my pendant lamp drop rod and convert it to a swag configuration. He said bring in what u have and I will fix it. It turned out perfect! He did it while I waited because I had driven an hour to get there. He is extremely accomodating.

I had purchased an antique chandelier style lamp at an estate sale and wanted to take on rewiring it, just for fun. Well after several trips to home Depot and Lowes, buying parts on recommendation of their employees, and eventually being told they didnt carry some specialty parts (it was lamp wire smaller than 18 gauge, not an extremely rare, old part). I started calling local lighting stores and electrical stores. None of them could (or would) help either. My budget on this project was tight too. Finally I found this store on Google, called and spoke to the owner. He said he had what I needed. So the next day I drove there (30+ mins each way). When I got there I asked him how much would it be for him to just do the job. Well he gave me two quotes (one was higher because Id stupidly already pulled all the old wires out which makes it a harder job). While it was above my budget, so I decided to just buy the wires to continue attempting the job myself. Well the wires only cost $2. Two bucks! At this point he obviously wasnt making much money off me, and some places wouldnt have put any more time or effort into me. But yet, he was still interested in helping me, spent probably 10-15 minutes explaining how to do it, answering my questions, and even demonstrated for me by actually wiring one of the arms for me. All that with only a $2 sale! It was worth the drive, in the rain, to come to this shop and actually speak with a caring and knowledgeable person. I ended up going home and finishing the job myself. But I will say this, it was a lot of work, and took me probably 8-10 hours over 3 days. I think his quote to do the job was fair, and if its within your budget, Id let him do the work!
