I just went in the store for supply and rent a Truck for moving, but i was treated in rude manner and un respectful way, as a costumer i feel shame for the owners in this place the way employers poorly treat a potencial costumer in this difficult time, I never was greeted, and they never ask what i needed, just were yell by the Lady in Yellow Shirt to move my Car because she has to check another truck, and i was waiting for the Young man that was checking in another costumer, he said i will be back, but the lady reach to the door again and she scream, they dont hear that the van has to move now, in very rude manner, which i reply Thats the way you trate costumers and she ran away to unhitch some car, so rude, i never comeback to your business and hope you select new personnel that treat costumer in good manner and Business oriented .

Andi behind the counter has been very professional and friendly through the whole process. And all the other gentlemen that make ready and accept the vehicle returns have made it all one big happy and nice experience

Ive had some issues with Uhaul overall, but there is still a glimmer of hope. Dont make up your mind about companies due to effortless employees .They are at every establishment, seek out the ones that shine bright. Dont give up, you have to realize these companies are still active for a reason, the employees with effort have enough to compensate for the ones that dont. Challenging their resources really showcases the forward momentum. Shining bright at this location is Tom, even on a Sunday able to cater to all of my needs, cant thank you enough not only on my behalf, but on behalf of U-Haul. I hope that U-Haul recognizes the positivity and promotes the select few.

You need a credit card to rent the vans even of you have the money up front

U-Haul constantly disappoints and this location is one of the worst I have been. The staff is so unhelpful, and difficult to get to answer the simplest questions. On top of it, no one wears masks and the store was very crowded.

The hitch they installed is great but the wiring for the trailer lights is the worst i have ever seen...it started a fire behind my bumper and had exposed connections behind both tailights. Not just that but for some reason they ran a battery wire from my front battery when my car has a rear battery. When they ran the battery wire, it was sitting on top of my exhaust. HELLO! THAT GETS HOT AND WILL MELT ANY WIRE. Just take a look at the pics.....

We had a terrible experience at another uhaul in Sarasota which led us to cancel our reservation the day of our move. Then we realized how hard moving would be without a truck so we stopped in this uhaul and Tom was so helpful and got us in and out! Thanks Tom! You really saved us!

Covid 19 is on the rise in Sarasota and none of the staff or customers were wearing masks in a tiny store. Somehow people think it’s a reflection of independence to not wear a mask. I think it’s a reflection of inconsiderate people who are making it worse for health care workers and people at risk.

I got a hitch put on my car. I was told it would take an hour to put a hitch on my car but it took less than thirty minutes. I wish they had a seating area since Im disabled and waited but they were nice and made an area for me. The man that took care of my hitch and took my money was very nice. Thanks 🌷♿😊

Fast quick and easy service. Very polite employees, they could make it easier to see the signs for which way to come in for a drop off. But others wise great!

Had truck ready to go when we arrived. Easy drop off. So glad blankets were in truck - we needed them (charge was reasonable). Price was as stated. Good truck at last minute and good value! Friendly to boot.

Needed a truck to move my daughter to college. Made my reservation on line, and followed up by calling location directly. Spoke with a woman there, wish I had written her name down. Anyway she and i discussed my needs, and instead of doing a local move we ended up shifting to a one way move. It saved 25-30% of the original local move estimate. She couldnt have been more helpful or pleasant. When I arrived for my truck I was in and out in 10 minutes. Great team and a great experience.

Very Rude customer service. Simply asked if there was anyone in the office that could help me and was told in a very unfriendly tone I got other cars out here. A simple in a moment would have done.

Lets just say, If any of these employees, were to jump up and down, youd be able to hear the oatmeal inside of their heads. Took them 30 minutes of searching through their system, just to print me a receipt (which they never printed). To top off everything, they apparently cant figure out how to check a vehicle in, so their system is charging me $40 a day, as if I never returned the vehicle. If you love brain dead, cave dwellers, by all means, Use this location! (Update : They wont even answer the phone )

We picked up a truck and trailer from this uhaul today for a cross country move, which in and of itself is stressful.First of all, I had redone my reservation twice because I swear I selected tow my car but no tow dolly ever showed up on the queue. I assumed it was okay since I went back and was sure I had checked it. But when I went in, there was no record I needed a vehicle tow. The guy there was very friendly and helpful and got us a tow that day anyway with no issues.Additionally, as we were signing all the paperwork, he looked at how far we were going and gave us an extra days and some extra miles for free, just to give us some breathing,room. What a way to make a stressful move a little less stressful.Thanks so much. Great service!!!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! And it was the General Mgr. Completely shocked on how he acted like we were bothering him. No greeting, no eye contact, nothing. I tried to warm him up by giving him a sincere greeting, but nope he wasnt having it. Very short. It was like we ruined his morning, because he had to stop what he was doing and help us. Paying customers! Ive worked in the customer service industry and I have no words. If I was the owner he would be fired immediately! Im certain theres been a lot more complaints about this guy. If you can, avoid this Uhaul and go to another one where hopefully they treat there customers with respect.

Rented a truck this afternoon. Owner wasnt terribly social but whatever... I get in the truck & cant move the driver seat at all. I tried to roll down the window and the knob fell off. So, its gearing up to be an awesome experience!

They told me I had a 45 dollar total for my expenses. Obviously I was very busy with a move, when I returned the truck they told me I had been charged double that and that they would refund me, telling me that it was in the fine print of my contract. So fair warning you will be charged double what you are told you will pay and they wont tell you unless you have time to read 3 pages of small print while moving. And it takes 3 business days to come back to you

I had a good experience at this store -- multiple times now. In this latest move, it came suddenly, and I needed a truck, with 6 hours notice, at the end of a month. Movers in town were booked up; and this location had a good number of trucks in multiple sizes.Moreover, I also needed help with labor to move, and on the Uhaul website, I selected one of their movers, All Around Moving, and had an OUTSTANDING experience with those guys. In short, within a few hours of knowing I needed to move, I had the truck and labor all set up. And on move day, All Around brought four people (instead of my contracted two), and the whole thing was done in two hours.I know the one reviewer has a bad review for this location, and true enough, there was one guy there who walked past me (with a cigarette) while I was waiting for the guy on the phone. But I just chalked this up to the reality that not everyone is an executive. When Id gotten the manager free, he was incredibly helpful. I still think its a good choice.

I needed to rent a van to move some furniture that wouldnt fit in my SUV. Within an hour, I was loading the furniture and on my way! U-Haul made it easy to solve my problem. The only difficulty was that the van had a problem with the tire sensor which caused us considerable delay checking tire pressure. This delay prevented us from having a planned lunch with the family member we were helping. When we returned the van in the 4-hour rental window, we were informed by the gentleman who rented us the van that he knew there was a problem with the sensor, and it would be looked at eventually.

Incompetent staff, useless reservation system that doesn’t guarantee they have what you reserve once you get there. Impossible online returns system. Terrible phone operators. As bad as all locations but what can you do when they are the only option when moving. zero stars.

I have rented from this location several times and they were great. The 2nd time was on a Sunday evening and unforseen circumstances delayed my arrival, I had no reservation and got there at 7:00 as they were closing. I explained it was an emergency and they stayed and took care of everything in 15 minutes. I was in customer service for 40 years and both times they were helpful, professional, very nice and efficient.

Claimed nozzle for propane refilling is broken drove a long way to find that out. It was close to closing and he looked like he had lots to do perhaps didnt want to deal with it will call tomorrow and ask if they have propane. Regardless he didnt apologize or suggest anywhere else to go get some I bought propane here last time but will be avoiding it from now on. Called the next day and was told they have propane and and never had any issues the day before again no apologies for the bad service Im calling corporate and complaining and I suggest others that have bad experiences do as well. I knew the jerk was lying cause he didnt want to do his job. The other reviews about the customer service are spot on its non existant. Went to the one by the airport the next day and was greeted nicely called sir and thanked for my business. Ill take my business there from now on.

These guys could care less if you rent anything from them. They dont even seem to care about their jobs.Came in to get propane, took a min to find help but I get it, it takes all 3 employees to park one truck. Once one of them realized i needed assistance he comes over to fill me up. While he was gearing up to fill my tank he notices his two employees sitting around. He chooses to instead telling them to go park the truck he decides to stop taking care of me and go do it himself. After he takes forever to park the truck, he walks in the office for a few minutes comes back outside and makes a phone call on his cell phone. He then turns away from me and walks away to move other trucks.Now I run a local business with 20+ employees, these guys wouldnt last 1 day with proper management.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I would Not recommend this uhaul ever. The people are so rude. I was 10 minutes late he and guy working there told me future reference dont ever be late to your appointment at the end of the month HOW RUDE?! I AM GIVING YOU MY MONEY AND YOU ARE GOING TO BE A TOTAL JERK BECAUSE OF 10 MINUTES? I wouldnt even give them a one star but thats my only option. Learn customer service!!! Go to Penske and get good service. The two crumugeoms that work here couldnt smile if it was their birthday. Rented from them twice. 1st time the truck they gave us had a flat tire, that was after the guy had ck it out and said it was good to go. 2nd time we reserved, and paid on line with a cc but when we went to pu the truck they said computers r down, we cant help u, even though we had our receipt in hand with all the information on it.

Let me start with this, do you like purgatory? If so, use this uhaul location. First for some reason for me to rent a trailer to haul a car from here to one city if North Florida was going to cost $250, When I went online itd would have been cheaper to drop it off in San Francisco. Then I set a reservation time which means absolutely nothing, because when I show up theres over a dozen people in line to the door with 1 person behind the counter. So I stood in line until about an hour past my reservation time At least I had time to make a pot of coffee, drink it, and I just went ahead and did my taxes. I would drive an hour away in a hurricane raining hail at 100mph than go back to this uhaul location. My option wouldve been completely different if its wasnt for the scowl of the one man behind the desk who face read get off my lawn, Clint Eastwood in grand torino Not once did he say to the crowd or single customer sorry for the wait.UPDATE: I called customer service about the crazy rate. First woman couldnt have cared less and transferred me in the middle of me talking, and the second lady was the same way. I guess from top to bottom uhaul company as a whole has horrible customer service. If you can use penskie, budget, anyone else. To end, I talked to two other people who have used this location. Both said they are horrible and the one even said I just dedicate at least 2 hours to go and pick anything up from there.Good Luck!

They didnt have the size truck i reserved, so they gave me a much bigger truck for the same reasonable price! I felt like my business with them was appreciated and they made my move to Bradenton possible!

I would not recommend Uhaul to a friend. I Certainly would not recommend this location!I had circumstances come up beyond my control that required me to change my drop off location mid rental, and it ended up costing me an extra $350 above the $130 I had already paid. No flexibility, nothing but extreme penalty.As for the actual location - Backstory. I am a female, my husband is now in the hospital which is the reason I had to stop my move. With a 3 year old under foot and No help unloading the truck So -When I was unloading my struck at that locations storage, 4 of the employees stood not five feet from me smoking cigarettes and talking while I nearly dropped a heavy dresser off the truck onto myself.The pavement was being recovered so they parked the truck for me - in such a way that it was angled UP on the back end, and I could not open the ramp, therefore I had to drop Extremely heavy furniture from an elevated height from the truck- I hurt myself lifting and could have SERIOUSLY injured myself but those employees just stood by, blowing smoke at me, and watching. Offer to help move the truck to a better location, Offer help getting the ramp down- DO something other than stand around waiting for your customer to get hurt.So no, I will not use Uhaul and once my month rental on the storage is up I will be moving to a more reasonably priced location ($149 a month for a 5x10 are you INSANE? If it hadnt been a free month rental with a one way truck booking, I would have taken my stuff elsewhere. I should have just done that in the first place!)

Customer service was terrible. The manager couldnt even give me my correct change and didnt bother to ask me if I found everything I was looking for or if I was all set. Just grunts and gives me insufficient change and my receipt. Wont be going back.

Have used to this place several times because it is the closest one. Have never had a good experience weather renting a truck or trailer or just trying to get propane filled. Not just the employees. The owner is not a friendly customer-oriented guy either. Last time I went to get my propane tank filled the pump was broken. Waited two weeks and went back and was told it was going to be a while because they were busy. Had troubles in the past just renting equipment also. Told them today that I would just drive somewhere else rather than ever use them again
