I picked up some equipment for a friend of mine last week. The owner was very kind to come in on the weekend to help me out since we live out of state. Highly recommend visiting. Thank you again Jeff!
Staff is awesome, knowledgeable and the owner has a hand in the work so you know the result is going to be perfect. Highly recommend Savage as long as you dont need an immediate turnaround since they are booked. And for good reason!
I needed some work done on my pedal board so on the recommendation of a friend I brought it in to Savage Audio on April 6th. They said that they were a little backed up but that it would be ready in 2-4 weeks. In the end the job took longer than expected but they did great work and Jeff went out of his way to make it up to me. I also got to spend some time with one of their amps and it was most impressive. Overall I found Jeff and Smitty to be very approachable, responsive and trustworthy. Great guys to do business with.
I dropped off an amplifier for repair today. I have had repair service done at Savage Audio before, but it had been several years.Jeff was so cordial and pleasant to chat with as we were completing the check-in documentation.I know, from previous experience, the fine quality of the service at Savage Audio. That is why I transported my amplifier 140 miles for its tune up .
Very helpful, very nice! Staff was able to provide assistance and advise on best how to manage my problem!
I am extremely pleased with the service provided on my Vox AC15c1. He brought it back from the dead. I will recommend to anyone to get their amps serviced by Jeff at Savage Audio. Thanks again!
Ive only used Savage a couple of times for repairs but Ive had nothing but great experiences. The staff is very friendly and loves to talk amps. They completely redid my late 60s Fender Bandmaster years ago and I didnt think twice about bringing it back next time I needed some work done.
After several attempts with some folks closer to me, I finally made the trek down to Savage and they got my amp back up and running. They were super nice and even gave me a tour of the shop to boot. Highly recommended and well worth the jaunt south of the river.
I bring all my amps to Savage for service. Ive had nothing but good experiences with work they done on my vintage gear, making my crusty and rusty gear shine and play like new! Plus their stellar staff is always friendly and welcoming, making you feel like part of the Savage family. Cant recommend this place enough, and their drop-off locations around Minneapolis make the whole process extra convenient.
I have seen and heard the name Savage for many years. I have friends that play Savage amps and a lot more that send their amps to Savage for service. I am now the owner of a Savage Rohr 15 and I love it! I have had too many amps to list and this one has been the best. Plus, the folks at Savage are super cool. Stop in there and check out an amp. Itll be hard for you to leave without ordering one.
Im an audio enthusiast that collects vintage audio, and thanks to Save Audio Id been able to keep my stereo system going and sounding as good as new. I feel really lucky to have these gentleman so close that provide first class service with more than 30 years of experience in audio electronics, tube or solid state. Its worth every penny to do business with them. Highly recommended!
Savage has been maintaining my amps since 1994, and I have had nothing but good experience. Two years ago I purchased one of their hand wired amplifiers and it has been an outstanding performer. They treat their customers very well. I wouldnt bring my amplifiers anywhere else, and I hope to buy another of their hand made beauties.
They did two warranty repairs on a couple amps I had that broke, and also repaired some rather complicated crossovers in some Yorkville speakers I brought in. Their communication was excellent and they work fast. Theyll definitely be getting more business from me in the future!
I will only ever bring my audio equipment here. You will get the absolutely best service possible. Unbeatable.
I have had 2 amps repaired here and always does a great job.
I dropped of my yamaha receiver 1 year ago this month. I have stopped bu to inquire after leaving several v.m.. Still waiting!!!!
Experts in all performance equiptment, stage, and personal amps vintage tube amps circuitry, Detail was perfect, my 60s Fender Deluxe and Band Master Amp, have been given a new lease on life.. Thank You.
Very cool place. Packed wall to wall with amps and cabs. The owner is obviously very knowledgeable and willing to help.
This is a place that other places send peoples stuff to for repairs, which tells you that the folks at Savage Audio know what theyre doing. Their amps are awesome, their staff is courteous, and their know-how is vast. Super vast!
Very good shop. I brought my 1965 Fender Tremolux head to them for a repair. They got it done in a week, on budget, and were very friendly in the process. Everyone coming in and out of the shop seems happy, as was I. In my experience when it comes to (service, production, sales) in audio its rare to have people do good work, AND be cool. Usually, you have to deal with some D-bag engineer who may or may not get to it whenever he feels like it. At Savage, they are a breath of fresh air!! Cant recommend them enough.
Went in and tried 2 amps. Went down the street and tried to amps. Lets just say I wont be going down the street again for amps. I absolutely fell in love with the crystal clear magic-like tone.
I bought a Macht 12x from Savage, and it is awesome. Service was great, and the amp looks incredible and sounds even better. Oh my god.
BEWARE: I brought my amp to them in hopes they could fix a noise issue I had been having off and on. They had the amp 2-3 weeks, said they recreated the issue but could not fix it. They said it sorry but it would be $80 the work? When I arrived to pickup my amp they said sorry again but this time demanded $140 claiming it had taken more time and the items they had done were mis calculated!!! I was not happy but paid the ransom! When I got the amp home I noticed they had changed my Vintage RCA tubes out for Cheap junk! I called and demanded they return all of my tubes which they did and again they said sorry.I cannot recommend this business
I have had many dealings with Savage Audio and have never had a bad one. They have always been first class with questions, repairs and my amps and are genuinely fantastic people. If you want piece of mind, superb craftsmanship and the best customer service around look no further than Savage Audio.I have owned a Savage Rohr 15x and a Macht 12 and unfortunately had to part with them due to financial reasons but I just put another order in today for a Macht 12x head and matching 1x12 cabinet and as always stellar customer service and made me feel right at home!
Savage Audio is my single go-to for all my amp needs. They have done work on Vox and Mesa amps that I have owned, always returning them in better working order than when they were new for a reasonable price that doesnt break the musicians bank. Recently, my band was in the studio to record an EP and I wasnt happy with the tone I was getting out of my amp. Savage was nice enough to let me rent one of their Blitz 50 heads for the weekend and as far as Im concerned it made the record. There is no doubt in my mind that my next high-end amp purchase will be a Savage. Always a pleasure to visit the store and see Jeff and the gang doing their thing. Even though they know I wont be buying a Savage anytime in the near future, they are always more than willing to talk shop and let me plug in and get loud on one of their amps. I just cant say enough nice things about Savage Audio!
These guys always take care of me, between my 2x problematic 5150s, my JCM800, my SVT Classic all of which Ive beaten down the road, they always fix my stuff, fix it right, and stand behind their work. Theyve gone above and beyond several times when stuff has broken down even though it wasnt related to any repairs theyve done for me.They have also loaned me one of their custom amps while waiting for repairs.... The thing sounded so rad.
There is a reason why the biggest names in music use Savage amps and service.Nothing sounds like a Savage and no gets your amp sounding better than ever with Savage. My three main amps right now are:-1968 fender twin reverb -cleaned, re-wired, re-tubed, basically rebuilt by Savage. Its a great amp with great sound. But man its a tank. Cant take it anywhere.- Savage Macht 6 this is the perfect amp in my opinion. Buttery smooth tone until the breakup. Then all hell breaks loose. Its so versatile, I use it from shoegazer, to rockabilly to metal. Its size and weight make it really easy to get in an out.-Jünger 3 I had this great idea for an amp: low wattage full rock and roll sound. You can really play but not destroy your ears, especially in small practice spaces. This amp is great for jamming, band practice, and small stages. The sound is so good on it I would mic it on a large stage. (Just like jimmy page used to do). Savage made this a reality for me.I also. briefly, had a Schlatten 15. Such an amazing amp but waaay more amp than I needed at the time. It is loud and proud.Every interaction Ive had with Savage has been great. They get your gear sounding like it should. They are the best in the business.
Always superb
Super helpful, great service!
Great service.
