Looked at a dresser today listed for $500. Discovered it was an Ashley furniture dresser. Looked up on Ashley’s website and the same NEW dresser was $340. Asked a salesman about it, wanting to negotiate it down, and was told “we buy things from home sales, mark it up, triple it, and people buy it. I don’t know I just work here” then he walked off. I just laughed and went to Ashley and bought the same dresser for $340. Won’t ever be going here again.
The person told me they dont buy no help for me
Ive been dealing with Bull Street Estate Sales (formerly Bull Street Auctions) for years both buying and selling items. I have always been treated very fairly and have found Lisa and her staff to always be very helpful. You can buy and sell with confidence through Bull Street Estate Sales!
Great place to find treasurers at a very reasonable cost. Everything from antiques to contemporary. Their sales room floor offers a lot of items for sale rather than being auctioned off.
Every Saturday on our way to work we stop by Bull st. Consignments to see what is new and interesting. Depending what you are shopping for, you can find a whide variety of antiquity, home furnishings, art, and a whole lot of other things always fairly priced and well displayed. The only problem is that if you like something, dont take to long to deside to purchase it. Someone else is pondering over that same item. It probably wont be there on that second visit. Believe me I have had that happen to me. I have used this wonderful place to help decorate my home and two restaurants, where I always get the questions, where did you get that? I think a visit to this fine establishment will leave you very satisfied.
This a an auction house and consignment shop. Open thurs-Sunday. Has some good stuff & some junk. Nice folks.
Make that a negative one star. I recently had the responsibility to liquidate my parents estate. Lisa At Bull Street came highly recommended by my realtor. Initial contact with Lisa the owner was good. She really knows furniture, antiques, collectables. What she has a problem with is inventory and sales reports. I realized I was in trouble when I asked for a beginning inventory with all the items numbered like I was seeing on the sales report. She didnt have that, couldnt provide that. All she had was sales reports. Ok so I had to go back to the original 7 pages of hand written inventory with no reference numbers just descriptions. Not to big of a deal except the descriptions were rarely ever the same. I told her it was virtually impossible to track what items were sold and what were remaining to be sold. She was doing the best she could was her response. We are talking about thousands of dollars worth of items she can not account for. Yes I am taking her to court. Lisa may be ok to use for a tag sale where you oversee the sale but I would never recommend you leave anything on consignment .
