Best decision I ever made was to contact Savannah Ballroom to learn to dance. The moment I walked through the door I was greeted warmly, accepted, and welcomed into my newly discovered dance family. Whatever you are looking for they offer. Initially I wanted to learn social dancing; however, dancing at Savannah Ballroom was so much fun I moved on to competitions. If you want to learn to dance for your wedding, to spend more time with your significant other, to try to get in shape, or because you have always wanted to – this is the place to start! The Instructor are all Certified and professional. Lauren has been an amazing and patient instructor and I am always learning. Fridays nights are Social Dance parties and you have a chance to interact with other dancers in the Studio and practice what you have learned. If you have ever wanted to dance do not wait!

My parents started taking lessons for my younger brothers wedding, and ended up continuing for the fun and fitness aspect. I joined because it looked like fun, and then I ended up competing and loving that (as well as having fun). My 10 year old daughter has recently joined and loves it. They also put on a showcase every year that students can opt to participate in to be a star on stage! Whether youre in it for a special event, fun, fitness, or competition... or whatever your goals are, whatever your age, the great thing about these instructors and this studio is there are no limits. They also have group lessons, dance parties, and special guests that come share their knowledge and experience. Great place, great people. Make this a life experience you dont miss!

I could not be happier with our experience at Savannah Ballroom. I went into the experience saying to myself I was going to take just one lesson and see if it was for me and ended up going every week. For someone that always thought they had two left feet I now feel confident and relaxed on the dance floor. If you are considering dance lesson you can not do any better the Savannah Ballroom.

For those who are wary of dancing in public (even if public is one other person), fear not--Savannah Ballroom Dance Studio is here to save the day! Alonzo and JaeLynn are incredibly talented dancers, and they are just as gifted at teaching dance. They worked their magic and choreographed a wedding dance for my husband and me in just 2 weeks, and patiently practiced with us. I had a great time in their studio, and Ill definitely go back in the future!

We had multiple lessons (Groupon) that were fantastic! They break the dances down in a very understandable way, from the steps to overall body posture. We originally planned on focusing on our first dance for our wedding next year, but we had so much fun, dancing is now an official hobby. These guys are the best!

Professional and friendly instructors who greet everyone by name. They make learning to dance fun. This is my happy place!

My experience at Savannah Ballroom has been super positive, from the very first time I set foot inside the door. The instructors are friendly, well qualified (all being certified U.S.I.S.T.D.) and take great care to make sure you understand and become comfortable with each dance and your own abilities. They are willing to help you at whatever level you wish to learn, anywhere from social dancing to special event preparation (like wedding dances) to ballroom dance competition. Just as importantly, the other students are welcoming, supportive and eager to help you feel comfortable, and I am so grateful for the new friendships with other dancers, and their smiles each week.

There are so many things I love about dance in all its forms: the way it enables us to express ourselves gracefully and artfully, or to become another person entirely; how each careful step is measured in time, and brings a greater depth to every song. During the time I was with them, the people of Savannah Ballroom not only personified the spirit of dance, but were truly inspirational in their methods of instruction. It was never enough to finish the class and be done with it; they wanted to see that I was enjoying both the lessons and their company, which I certainly did. And though I no longer live in Savannah, Alonzo and Jaelynn remain close at heart, and I am forever grateful for their hard work and dedication to making dance remain a joyful and fulfilling part of my life.

I was recruited to be a star in a dancing with the stars charity event and was paired up with pro dancer Alonzo Boschulte, one of the owners of Savannah Ballroom. I was not sure what to expect since I had never really done ballroom dancing before and was worried I wouldnt fit in. Boy was I wrong! From the moment I entered the studio, Alonzo and his partner JaeLynn made me feel welcome. They are both great dancers and teachers, but they are also so down to earth and funny! When you sign up for dance lessons, you want to learn new skills but you also want to have a good time and Savannah Ballroom makes sure you do both. I did mostly private lessons to get ready for my competition but they also offer group classes and even dance parties every couple of weeks. I highly recommend signing up! The studio is located in a little shopping strip mall near an army recruiting station but dont let that scare you...when you open the door youll find yourself transported to the dance floor. Alonzo and JaeLynn make you feel welcome as soon as you step in the door. I was a little nervous about dancing, as I have never set foot in a ballroom studio my entire life! They worked with me and patiently taught me something I have always dreamed of doing, but never thought I could actually accomplish. I have confidence on the dance floor and have become obsessed with ballroom dancing!Alonzo and JaeLynn take instruction from world class trainers and are always improving their technique so they can improve their students dancing and bring the best instruction and dance to Savannah.You will have so much fun and you will realize you should have been dancing your whole life.

This year I was asked to dance in the Ballroom Extravaganza fundraiser with virtually no experience in dancing, so I went to Savannah Ballroom since the few lessons I had years ago were there with JaeLynn. She and Alonzo are excellent teachers and amazing people. I was impressed with how quickly I learned and how easily they built my confidence to perform in front of judges as well as an audience! JaeLynn worked with me every week until the event, and her patience and encouragement were limitless.
