We had a tour and it was amazing and informative. The tour guide was awesome. He really helped us understand the way the hive works. This is an amazing place to support and get some delicious honey in many organic flavors. Whipped honey is so good and comes in different flavors. They even have body care products and so much more. The wildflower honey is so good! Make a stop here learn about the importance of bees and get some honey.

Like with other Savannah Bee Company locations, this is a nice place to shop for honey, mead. and get gifts for whatever reason (alongside doing the free honey sampling which you should always do ;) ) But this location has something extra: Not just an observation hive, which is very cool in its own right, but also an apiary you can visit!The basic tour starts with an informative talk about the bees, their life cycles and mating habits, how the hive is structured and ran, the different kinds of bees in the hive, and other factoids regarding them. Incredibly informative and the staff know their stuff! I love bees and even I learned some information about them I didnt know. Afterwards, you get to don a mesh bee hat and go out back to the hives. We learned about how to smoke the bees and what a bee keeper looks for in order to make sure the hive is happy and healthy. We even got to sample fresh honeycomb straight off the frame! For an additional charge, you can retire after with cheese and honey plus a mead flight which you should totally consider doing. Such a great experience!Surprised to learn about this location and activities only now after a friend told me- a wonderful stop for those who love bees or want to learn about them. Great for kids. Will definitely be coming back whenever Im in Savannah

I love that we accidentally found this place on new years day! The kids loved seeing the bees in action and still talk about it. They have soooo many products it was hard picking just a few lol. They had the cutest, tiniest note cards and the throat spray was awesome. The honey was yummy and the lady was soooo nice. She told the kids all about the bees, pointed out the queen and explained about pollen pants. Then she gave them a gold sticker for learning all about bees...how sweet?! Highly recommend and cant wait to go back for a tour when they start back!

Fun and educational bee hive tour. Got to see a working bee hive in a beautiful space. Lots of different honey to sample in the store from local to Amazon. Super easy to find - worth the trip.

Very nice place with a very nice interior plenty of samples before you purchase anything and I would recomend the tours of the hives if you enjoy learning how the honey is harvested and taste some honey straight from the hive.

My go to place for a gift from Savannah. Their new Bourbon Barrel honey roasted coffee is to die for. And the honey is delicious. And the body butters are great. Stop into any of their locations, but the main location is the best.

This store is awesome! I have been wanting to see it for a long time. They are all about bee conservation. They use the byproduct of the bee to make skin care. They also sell fresh honey. Their skin care products and their infused honey is excellent quality.

If youre in town and looking for something fun to do this is it. They offer a your which I really enjoyed. The tour included adults and children. They have bee hives outside too. The show you the one they have inside its in a clear glass sheet case so you can see the activities of the bee. You can see the queen bee shes marked. I learned so much about bees and how valuable they are to our eco system. After the tour you can shop at the gift shop. I absolutely loved the hand cream its price but AMAZING! You can also purchase different flavors of honey.

Savannah Bee Company is a must visit in Savannah. Beautiful shop, friendly staff and wonderful products!! I am a fan of Tupelo honey, but discovered Acacia this trip, yum!!!!!

Absolutely outstanding my wife and I had a wonderful time. We have a two year old little boy how loved playing in the kids play aria. It was so nice to find a ace where everyone in the family was enjoying them selves. Out son was happily playing while we where happily sampling the different meads they offered.

Had an amazing and educational visit recently led by our wonderful guide Kristen at the Wilmington Island site. I booked a tour for three of my family members who were visiting from Canada and it was definitely a highlight. Kristen was very patient and knowledgeable about bees and their behaviour and we left with such an appreciation for the honey industry. There are lots of products to sample with no pressure to purchase. Personally, I wish I could buy everything there. We even got to see the bees swarm during our visit and managed to get up close and personal with these amazing insects. Thank you Kristen!

Excellent tour and shop

The tour is wonderful, and can only be done at this location. First, see a transparent display hive up close, learn all sorts of cool things, see the difference between drones and workers, listen to the buzzing of the hive and even hear the bees squeak to each other!! Then go into the garden wearing beekeeperss netting hats to protect you, and see a comb covered in docile bees. We got to stick our finger INTO THE COMB and taste honey fresh from source. Then, we experienced the restful meditation hut that has hives humming under it. All around a great tour given by a passionate, fun, and knowledgeable guide. The tour is $8 and only runs into October, although the shop is open year round.At the shop: You can taste samples of different honeys, and various beauty treatments with honey and bee products in them too. They are high-end, and high quality so expect to pay more than the supermarket.

Amazing product, very friendly and helpful staff. You can try everything they sell including the Mead wine. They have a really cool bee hive spa thing thats like a sauna but the hive is built into the walls so you can feel the buzzing but there are no bees around you. Relaxing and different.

The honey is delicious, the lotions are amazing, but my favorite part is the tour. I learned so much about bees, and got the chance to taste honey right from the hive. Highly recommended.

Came for a Girl Scout program and it was fantastic! The girls (and adults!) learned so much about bees and even got to go out back and see the hives. Their honey is delicious and l love their honey bath products.

I must tell you, Jay was a dream to work with! I contacted him over a year ago and we stayed in contact on and off over the year as the days counted down toward my wedding. Jay was so patient with me after I emailed him and then followed up with a phone call within 24hrs because I was so nervous I didnt send the email correctly. He processed my order without an issue, provided me with all the information I needed and was fantastic! I already love your products and buy them often from friends and family back home but after this experience on the other side of ordering you have truly found a customer for life! Thank you so much for being that perfect extra touch on our wedding - we could not have been happier nor, I think, could our guests with the honey favors!

Giving 2 stars is me being nice. While the store setup is nice and original, the prices are ridiculously high--especially for the small items. The workers could use a lesson on good customer service. From the time that I walked in, to the time that I finally was able to check out, I was not approached or offered help. The two sales people were busy chatting with another customer for 10+ minutes. They didnt even bother to come from around the register to guide me or even ask if I was looking for anything in particular/give me any info. This lack of care caused them to lose business. This was the second Savannah Bee company store that Ive been to and experienced nonexistent customer service. I will not bother giving you my time or business, Ill find another local store who actually appreciate ALL customers.

I can not say how wonderful this place was. When we walked in, the girl at the front was super friendly from the begining. Then we got a tornado warning, seek shelter now. The girl at the front and my husband went to look and sure enough a funnel was touching diwn straight ahead of us. She was so nice she let us go in the back and offered drinks and some honey comb. Then the owner came in from outside at the tornado went by. Afterwards the owner allowed us to go see the bees in the back with him and all the amazing set up they have in the back, even though they were done with tours for the day. Everyone was so friendly and the expereince (minus the tornado) was wonderful. I couldnt recomend this enough. Thank you for making up for the not so great time outside of your company.

Husband and I visited there today. First time at this location. Certainly wont be the last.The store is impeccably clean, well set up. Large variety of products. There is both an indoor and outdoor hive. Absolutely fascinated with the one on the wall. We tried the honey tasting (free) and hubby did the Mead tasting also ($7, 5 samples).Most importantly though, I need to stress that we were given the best customer service while there. I hate the fact that I didnt catch her name, but the woman that worked there *today* 8/7/17, this afternoon...was professional, enthusiastic, knowledgable, and extremely easy to converse with. A breath of fresh air.Thank you so much. We will be back for some more sourwood honey (which is also her fav) soon!

Even though they were busy conducting a tour, they helped me make choices and bag my gift purchases. The chocolate honey pecans were delicious.

We came for a tour of the bee garden with a homeschool group. This group consisted of children from toddlers to high schoolers, and our guide was able to talk on everyones level. For the kids who were afraid of the bees, there was no pressure. All questions and concerns were addressed beautifully. My children cant wait to go back. Actually, they cant wait until we have our own yard so we can become beekeepers!
