Romantic Date Night - 4 out of 5 (Here is why) My wife and I traveled into town to check out beautiful Savannah and we stumbled across Savannah Wine Cellar because it was right down the road from our hotel and we wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown environment for the night. We really enjoyed this place because we are both Wine Enthusiast and we definitely enjoy sampling wines from around the world. Savannah Wine Cellar had a great selection of many different wines. The staff was very friendly. I personally enjoyed the all of the sweet dessert wines. I wasnt a fan of any of their dry red wines or their dry white wines ( I only tried International wines I did not try any u wines) key things to note, they do limit you to 15 oz per person which I dont personally agree with. There were some wines I did not enjoy during the sampling and I did not even drink them so that limited the amount of wine I actually got a chance to enjoy. I wish that the staff would have been a little bit more helpful and asked what our preferences were or what kind of wines we enjoy so they could have made recommendations rather than us sampling wine we had no information about (other than the name of the wine and where it came from) another con to this experience is that they did not have anything to snack on. No cheese, crackers, nuts, chocolate or anything to cleanse the palate ( besides water ) the atmosphere was beautiful. It was low it and Cozy and luckily we were the only ones in there so it felt more personal. They do have a Monday through Friday 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. happy hour which we were in luck we happen to arrive perfect timing for happy hour however they did not tell us until we were checking out so I think that would be something that you would want to mention or bring to your guests attending because that was exciting to learn that all of the sampling for half off. Overall, great experience and we would definitely stop by again. We did purchase six bottles of wine to take back home with us. We cant wait to drink them. I also like the fact that some of their wines have twist tops because that was convenient for our hotel stay so we did not have to buy a cork screw opener.

Forced mask wearing when I’ve already been vaccinated. Totally inappropriate and unprofessional to approach me and tell me that I am “required” by the city of Savannah to wear a mask. Luckily, Publix is right across the parking lot and doesn’t invade your privacy and force mask wearing. I guess the “mask mandate” doesn’t apply there. Also, the governor of Georgia made mandatory mask mandates illegal. Strange, I guess this business don’t follow the law. As for their wine selection, it’s small and cheap. You can find better product elsewhere. What a joke.

This is a nice concept. You can pick out various wines to try. All machines show the type of wine and a price for different size servings. It would be better if you didnt have to continually call the staff over to charge your card every time. Not sure why you cant swipe your own card and move around as it suits you. Some very good, interesting wines.

Wonderful place, excellent wine selection, knowledgeable and kind staff! I only wish that they had a few cheeses/snacks to pair with the amazing wines 🍷

Staff is masked. Wine is outstanding, and self pour. Money is loaded onto your card so none changes hands. Great concept. Mid the on prison wine events but safety first

Great presentation of wines from a variety of regions. Only let down is the complete lack of that something special- such as a selection of Grand Cru’s out of France.

Always a pleasant experience when I visit. Staff is very knowledgeable and share recommendations based off what your normal selections are. I love the location because it’s never packed or crowded seems to always have the right mix of people. multiple great experiences

This is a cozy place, with nice staff. The wine selection is good, not wide ranging in any particular region but I can usually find one close to what I’m looking for. A great reason to visit is the wine by the glass machines, let’s you try wine 2, 4 or 6 ounces at a time. Tables are spread throughout. The inside is done in brick and wood for a rustic cave feel.

Great location and great variety of wines. Helpful staff who are happy to answer your questions about any wine in the store. Put this on your spot of places to visit when youre in Savannah! Cheers!

Lovely little place. Very clean and modern. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and though I went for the free wine tasting, I ended up purchasing a bottle of their delicious wine.

This place is awesome. The proprietor, Bridget, is super friendly and will walk you through a unique and tasty wine experience. Try it at happy hour for half price tastings!

The staff is wonderful. Definitely recommend happy hour. I went when they had a special event and the food was amazing. Bridget actually made the food herself and when I told her how great it was she gave me the recipe. Will definitely be going back.

Love this place! I love the location because Im local and dont have to deal with parking downtown and its in a cute little shopping center in midtown. Its fun to try different wines and the actual inside of the place is cute! The owner is a sweet lady who is nice to talk to and she is always hosting some sort of fun wine event each weekend. I suggest the hand poured wine tastings on Saturdays because they give you a bite of fancy cheese and crackers! Happy hour is great, but its not expensive either way. If you love wine, come here and drink and chat with friends and the nice workers!

Hip spot with plenty of wines to choose from for a quick tasting. Didnt like having to wait for the worker to insert a card to allow a pour. It made it odd to sip and wait especially if the wine wasnt to your liking. They should have a different setup such as providing you with a card that reads and stores your pours until checkout at the register.

Very nice place. I recommend doing the hand poured wine on Saturdays, otherwise they monitor how much you drink because of city regulation .

Me and my boyfriend went and they told us about happy hour so we left and came back lol and of course it was nice and something different for me and the staff was so helpful and very nice!! Will be returning because it was a particular wine that I felled in love with so I will be back to purchase it!! Will highly recommend 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

This is my go to place for wine! I love the atmosphere and the customer service. Prices are reasonable for the quality of wine.

I thought I knew wine, then I started coming here. The staff of the Savannah Wine Cellar are the best educated and friendliest staff of any wine shop that Ive visited. They can take any level of input and translate a persons tastes to the perfect bottle. Their happy hours and explorers club are excellent ways to expand ones tastes, and their Saturday tastings always teach me something new.

Amazing place. Great selection, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and reasonable prices make this the best place to buy wine in town. Go during happy hour (M-F 5-7) for half off tastings of their huge selection!

Such a fun outing!! The staff is great!! On Saturdays, they do hand poured tasting which really gives you the opportunity to meet the staff and the regulars.
