My first time in a Fresh International Market and i never wanted to leave! Every kind of packaged noodle you could want, a fresh (frozen) fish ball section you buy by the pound, a butcher, Shiseido makeup counter, plenty of fresh food and an amazing skin care section. I will be seeking out this store in every city I visit from now on! Super clean, well-lit and very organized.
One of my favorite stores! I always find something great here. Most recently I went to purchase a cheesecake to bring a friend as a housewarming gift. Left with many, many other items I could not resist. I love their bubble tea, too! I didnt have time this visit to grab the fresh boba tea from the shop at the front but I found many great boba items to fill the void. Also these are my favorite face masks!
Two things stand out here and calls me back! The Boba tea and the Taiwanese breads. The Brown Sugar Boba is highly addictive! Deep tea flavor and the brown sugar complements it wonderfully. The Taiwanese breads, always loved them and just so glad that they are available in the burbs. My fav is the pork floss roll!
I think its better to name it Asian market instead of International. All the products are for people from Asia, I literally couldnt find anything for myself. Fruit and veggies were pricey, so I couldnt even purchase that. I wont be back for sure. On the other side, I believe this is a great spot for Asian people.
I am happy to see a Chinese groceries out in the burbs that is accessible close by home. However in term of pricing of course Chinatown would be the best. I believe most things is 5-10% higher here. I come here mostly for condiments and their bakery. Two things I try not to buy here is BBQ and Veggies. BBQ dish such as ducks, chicken, pork although it taste very good, half of the portion is all bones that is hidden underneath. Veggies are probably sprayed down pretty well, there are many times where I cut open a nappa and its all molded/yellow inside while outside looks very green. Either that or it will not last past a week, while the Korean markets veggies does. Bakery although overpriced it is very tasty, i love the taro and egg yolk crisp balls here. I dont think i had anything this fresh elsewhere. I come here mainly due to convenience.
Big variety of items from different Asian cultures. Saw Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, Korean stuff. Pricing is average. Love the section with food that is ready to eat.
If youre ever in the area this is a must go! They have so many kind of noodles and packaged bubble tea. Not to mention the amazing bubble tea shop at the entrance 12/10! The sushi and food they have packaged fresh everyday is amazing. Better than any sushi bar ive had.
The best Asian Market I’ve ever been to so far. Very clean, organized and lots of Asian products and in much lesser prices. Will definitely go back again and again.
This was our first visit and I was so impressed on the freshness variety and quality of the produce and so many healthy items. I am so excited for our next shopping trip
It’s really nice to have Asian supermarket in suburb. There are varieties of product. Some items are pricey. Just be aware of cooked items such as roasted duck or bbq pork. You might be surprised for $14.99 and you will get mostly bones.
Love this place for finding the things you cant anywhere else (i.e. off-season produce and items like durian). Also love the tea and juice bar. Always fresh and natural.
One of the few Asian supermarket in the suburb. They offer quiet a bit of stuffs like any other grocery stores but one of thing is that they have an in store fresh beverage store with multiple different flavors, a bakery shop specialize in Taiwanese bread made fresh everyday and a gourmet BBQ kitchen you can get Asian style chicken, pork, duck and etc..A convenient way to grab something hot to eat right away besides groceries. We come here pretty often for drinks and bakery. However, on some of the stuffs they sell are not very fresh and kinda on the pricey side compare to other stores. Otherwise, it is a good place to go during the weekends and enjoy some of the rare beverages and freshly made food.
Came here 3 days in a row. Had to try everything. Hot food was great, drinks were delicious and refreshing and everything else was awesome to look at. Still needs to fill up all your shelves but most was fun to look at. The fresh water critters were a bit weird but interesting. Great place to get snacks and drinks for a hot day. Bakery looked interesting and had some unique flavors.
Excellent, especially for vegetarians. I love this place! Thanks!.
Got some groceries and stopped for tea at the store. It was nice.
Im not sure where others shop, but this store is actually one of the most expensive Asian stores for me. Its quite small compared to competitors for groceries and therefore has less variety. I actually enjoy going here for their hot meals and bakery goods, not for groceries/produce. Very impressed with their food (roast duck, charsiu and pork belly)-- however like most said, it takes a long time to get prepared (we were the only ones to order and it took a really long time). I did not get the by weight food because I have seen children touch the cooked food. Please have the staff be more attentive to the food!!
This grocery store has a wide selection of produce and goods from Asia. Most of them are Chinese brands. I found some of my childhood favorites here like 八宝粥. I would go here if you want authentic Asian food. They have a deli area where they serve freshly made roast duck, princess chicken and so on which are very delicious. The market also has a drink shop called elitea - 岩茶 which is a popular brand back in China. They use good quality tea and I particular enjoy the fruit tea. I would be careful with the expiration date on some of the pre packaged food. Double check the sell by date.
Think Whole Foods but Chinese! Clean beautiful aisles, good selection, fresh produce, tea shop, bakery, meat, seafood, and deli. The price is more than typical Chinese supermarkets. The best part of the market is the bakery with authentic Taiwanese pastries.Credit accepted, free parking lot, come for the baked goods!
70% ready still some empty I can see.Price expensive most items but few things cheap. And Boaba tee $6.00 oh no.... too sweet... no good no recommend.New market so inside very cleanTheres hot food corner. You can chose whatever you want.... Chinese food and drinking. Seafood, meat, cosmetic and health corner too. If you like Chinese culture and food you will like it (Asian food).
Very nice supermarket, huge space for you selecting the food on yours need. please enjoy there.
A large indoor Asian Supermarket where you can have reasonable lunch boxes to takeout and bubble tea to go!
Love this place. The diversity of food and goods is amazing and a great place to pick up unique finds at reasonable prices. They have a Boba bar inside that I highly recommend as everything I have had has not disappointed in amazing flavor!
This is the place to get your Chinese hot pot ingredients like thin sliced meat (best meat quality/prices IMO) and broth bases. Definitely grab a cheese tea from the cafe on your way out. Really awesome supermarket!
Ive been dying to go here all week after finding it online. It did not disappoint! (A note: the name Fresh International Market can be a little deceiving. Dont go in here expecting to find products from around the globe. Its mainly Asian products, which is exactly what I was looking for.)A few things were closed inside, including the hot buffet that I saw pictures of in other reviews. Im assuming thats due to the risk of spreading covid. I did buy an eel roll that was fantastic, though. Normally store bought eel rolls still have the chewy skin on, but this one was properly prepared without it. It was perfect. I also bought some roasted pork belly to serve as an appetizer with dinner tonight. It looks and smells amazing. There are so many options. I was excited to find yellow dragon fruit and frozen soup dumplings. Both things that I havent been able to find since moving back here almost eight years ago. Theres a lot of fresh and frozen meat and fish. The variety and prices are amazing. Im so excited that I can buy duck wings, fresh scallops, masago, and snails here. Please know that there is live seafood which can be upsetting to anyone who either doesnt eat meat, or to anyone who cant imagine killing something to eat themselves. I was worried about my son seeing the frogs and turtles that Ive seen in other reviews (we have a pet turtle), but luckily they were either in back or werent being sold today. The only thing I couldnt find that I was looking for is XO Sauce. I have a fantastic recipe to make it myself, and found the proper ingredients for it, but its just so much more convenient to buy it premade. Its a little out of the way for us, but well worth the drive. Im definitely going to come back several times a month.
One stop shop for many things like groceries, fresh fish (even some live fish), boba, bakery goods, sushi, other chinese cooked fresh foods, ect. The entire store has pretty reasonable prices and is very clean. The boba store inside had a great selection and also great prices!
Its a lovely place to shop for groceries, fish, meat and also for some quick nibbles. Their stock of fresh fish, veggies and fruits are mind blowing.
Asian stores in MN are not the cleanest but this one is very clean and does not have that funky smell when you enter an Asian store.A lot of great stuff esp. things that I couldnt find in regular stores. Sad that the restaurant was closed. I wanted to try it but they close at 7.
My favorite grocery store. Huge variety of seafood, teas, vegetables. And you can buy a good selection of cooked dishes, roasted duck including.
This place is amazing! Such a unique variety of offerings, even compared to H-Mart and Mitsuwa. Huge fan of the food court as well. 20% off sushi (which is always fresh and delicious, and always stocked even with side condiments) on Wednesdays and BOGO 50% off bubble tea on Thursdays. Seriously check this place out.The one and only thing I dont like is how they leave prepared to-go foods like chicken in small containers on a table without any warmer or refrigeration.
Awesome, love this place. So many good things.
Pretty cool store, seemed pretty clean. Wish there was a gluten free section. The selection of chips had some hilarious flavors.
My go-to spot for my groceries!! I used to live near an Hmart so, when I found out about this place it was a very good alternative. The produce and meat department both have a decent variety, the bakery and the cooked food are my usual stops first and I always find something I like or want to try, the Sashimi section was a really good find (the salmon tray is my favorite) and the ramen/soup isle is my absolute favorite because again...the variety is endless! Workers are friendly, store is well kept and organized, signage is readable and clear, and the isles arent too cramped or small to move through. After checkout, I always stop at Elitea which is a boba stand...their brown sugar boba latte and strawberry smoothie are my go-to beverages. Highly recommend stopping in.
Most Asian grocery store are often not very modernized, but Fresh International Market goes against the grain and is reminiscent of high-end grocery stores. The overall design of the store is very slick, everything from the shelves, isles, floors, etc.Product wise, its everything youd find in Chinatown grocery stores, except that its in the suburbs
This is actually a nice grocery store. From the outside it looks like a Lunds. Think of it as a Chinese HMart
So much elections of different kind of ready to eat foods and they have.my favorite egg tart freshly cooked.
I am glad to have discovered this place. Looking forward to eating in their food court when the Covid restrictions are eased
Enjoy this market. They have a great value plan. Several different departments including fresh squeezed juice and smoothie, herb counter and bakery (its amazing) beautiful produce
I discovered the existence of cheese tea recently and went searching for a place to get it. Thats what brought me here. My first impression walking into the store was that its an entirely Asian themed Whole Foods Theres a decent sized produce section (includes durian) and a huge cold case full of various types of dumplings and gyouza. Theres also a wide selection of products that I havent seen at Korean or Japanese stores. The highlight for me was the drink bar which had the cheese tea I was looking for. The drink was better than Id heard and now Im forced to go back to try all the flavors of the drink combinations. I was impressed by everything and will be going back soon.
Asian inspired grocery market located next to the Target near the Streets of Woodfield. Even has a bubble tea kiosks inside. Has quite an assortment of fish and hotpot ingredients including the hardware. Its worth checking out for sure.
I can’t express how grateful I’m for the opening of Fresh international market Schaumburg. I live in Rockford and due to the lack of Chinese supermarket I used to have to drive 1.5 hours to Chicago downtown for reasonable Asian grocery choices, not to mention having to drive through the always congested downtown traffic. Fresh international market makes my life so much easier and they have very good and extensive choices for Chinese grocery. The location is very good, not far from Woodfield mall and it’s very convenient. They also have loyalty program and I love the dollar off here and there. It’s really a great addition to the community.
Pretty nice, spacious and clean Asian supermarket, choices and prices are actually less compatible with other supermarkets close by.
This market is so cool! i love the fact that right when you walk in, youre able to get such unique and cute drinks like the boba milk tea (pictured) and green teas too! i also like how you can get fresh cooked food right there and the extensive asian drink aisles! as an asian, its really nice to have one big place to get some of my favorite foods.
Great selection! Similar to the Mitsuwa market. Very nice 😊
Brown sugar Boba is so good
Best brown sugar tea ever
I love this place and their fresh handmade fish balls/tofu. Theyre wonderful and I wish I could get something like them in Seattle (where Im from) also check out these massive Veggies!!😲 amazing!!
Always the best stocked up store without making it clamped up..
The only place I go for my boba milk tea. My favorite is the brown sugar milk tea.
Great food and amazing bakery
Best Chinese Grocery Store in West Suburbs
Like other Asian grocery stores, this store has everything you need. To do shopping here, you wont feel disappointed. Love the cheesecake made.
I love going to this place because it has so many asian foods and drinks. I have gone here several times and everytime I come I leave very satisfied. The place us very clean and the workers are really nice and helpful. Will definitely continue to come back here!
Great interior design however they have EXPIRED PRODUCT!! We went to the market yesterday (6/14) but the snack we bought has already expired since February!!!
Must stopped for Asian grocery heaven.you will find alot of variety for each product you need. They carry all well known brands. Dont worry if you dont understand Asian language, the staff is extremely qualified to understand your request and help. You can even show them a picture and they will walk with you to the aisle. Good fresh meat and seafood. Mongers and butchers serve very well to all your requirements. Price wise cant be beated. Just vist and the experience once.
Some amazing boba inside as well as a large selection of groceries!
A lot more expensive compare to other Asian supermarkets.
Great place for oriental foods. Across parking lot from Jersey Mikes subs.
Lots of good selection from a variety of Asian countries
Cool store, the staff is very courteous and they have some good deals but for the most Part the prices are on the low side of average.
Very clean store and the prices are incredibly fair. We love stopping here for all our grocery needs. Fantastic butchery with fresh roast pork and roast duck! The boba cafe is an excellent plus!
Amazing selection of specialty products. So many hot pot bases and fixins! Very clean and organized. So much more available than what you would find in the half an aisle or so ethnic section at the regular grocery store.
Although this store is a bit far from me I love it! They have lots of non pork options for dumplings and they taste delicious 😋 I also love the fact that they have tons of holistic healing options!
Even if you have no business buying anything here, please come and try pushing a cart. OMG those carts can move like they are sliding on soap! You can even push them horizontally and they will move forward with ease! These carts were manufactured from heaven; they are that smooth! So all people who enjoy a smooth car ride, try pushing these carts! This is not a joke; if you shop anywhere that involves using a cart then you have to come here and try them out! Besides that the store itself is clean and well-maintained.
Produce quality is usually a hair sub par. But they have a wide selection of products, the Boba shop inside is good, and the staff are friendly.
Great Chinese supermarket and its huge
This store has it all!!! I loved it! Even has fresh seafood 😋
Great fish, meats and produce.
Has everything you want, even the rare stuff. The only inauthentic thing about this asian grocery store is it is so clean!
Fantastic sake selection.Very clean and organized. Does not have the normal Asian grocery store dirty feel and dis organization at all. I think of this place as an Asian wholefoods.
Very neat and a lot of good stuff for Chinese cuisine. There’s a food bar and sometimes they can surprise me with fried shrimps. The staff there are friendly and very willing to help
Should not be named international market. Very disappointed. Went in looking for Mexican food and there were only Oriental choices.
Update: Rewrote because my first review was very rambling and not clear. This pertains to the food court. Service is very slow, so dont come here if you are on a schedule. Give yourself 2-3 hours to get your food. If you want Chinese BBQ and youre on a schedule, I recommend MingHin in Rolling Meadows and the BBQ place inside of the Richwell Market in Morton Grove.I ordered 1/2 lb pork belly. It took me 40 mins to receive it and another 10 mins to check out. The majority of people behind me in line, all of them having bigger orders, received their food and left before me. The only reason I received any food at all is that I told the cashier that I was going to leave if I didnt receive my order in the next 5 mins. In total, including driving time, getting a 1/2 lb of pork belly took an entire hour.I get this is a food court and not a fine dining restaurant. But this doesnt even compare to the average ordering experience at McDonalds. Something is seriously wrong when your food court service standards cant even match McDonalds.
If they dont have it, you dont need it! Clean, well stocked. Highly recommended
Love it! All the Asian goods are here. Lots of Chinese, Korean, and some Japanese foods and beverages are sold here. Theres also a little shop that sells very delicious tea and smoothies. Highly recommend!
Great and large selection for Asian (mostly Chinese) groceries. Everything from produce, hot pot, fresh seafood, fresh meats, spices, frozen foods... They even had my favorite potstickers (Wayfong brand) that I couldnt find in Chicago area anymore.
Lots of great choices of noodles, snacks etc
Lots of drink and food options. Has a nice international section
3 stars only. Soonhari SOJU that i bought was expired. Bought it 11/21/2020. The date on the bottle is 2/17/2020. Taste was awful thats when I checked the date. Citron flavor were small bottles. Apple flavored was the big.bottles. what a waste. With those dates apart it seems they dont check their stocks.
Love to shop at this place. Got everything I need.
Very good variety of food, drinks and household products at good prices.Lots of made on the day food options.lovely staff. Very friendly. Highly recommended!
Pretty neat market with friendly staff but the live seafood section was a little perturbing. Slightly higher prices than Mitsuwa and less of a selection though still a great place to visit.
Good fish you will get it here
Decent clean Asian grocery store.
This is an excellent grocery store focusing mostly on Asian cuisine. The pricing is fair for produce, meat, and seafood. Theres an entire aisle of the store focused on Ramen, meaning an obviously huge selection. You can get live fish, crabs, and snails in the seafood counter and they have things that you cant find in most grocery stores. If Im making an Asian dish, this place is definitely my go-to. They also have a sushi area and a hot-bar with some good food in it for reasonable prices. I highly recommend this store.
Provides most of the Asian products I need and char siu pork fresh everyday!
The place is clean, has a great variety of asian foods. I splurged on some tasty snacks to reminiscent my childhood.
They have everything here. Usually when I need ethnic stuff, I’ll go to the appropriate store for it. But surprisingly, they have authentic ethnic stuff here! Super rare trait for a grocery store to have.
Loved it. Has everything you would need for any meal. Esp asian, Chinese or Thai meals. Awesome!
