Ive been coming to this Gerber at this location for many years as recommended by my Farmers Insurance. I have always been satisfied. Was here in Sep 2021 for body work/repair and Gabriella and Gus were both pleasant to deal with and knowledgeable and helpful. I definately recommend this location. Gerber seems like a well managed company, or at least this location :)

Receptionist Gabriella and Estimator Gustavo were very friendly and professional. They were courteous and explained things well. I felt very much at ease. I would certainly recommend this location.

In December, my car was hit in a parking lot. The driver was covered by esurance. The claims rep suggested Gerber. They provided an estimate, offered a rental car and got it fixed prior to Christmas. When I damaged a side view mirror this month, I returned to the same shop. Highly recommend!

*TRUE EXPERTS* The damage to my car was fixed in 5 HRS! I was able to leave my rental car there & make it back home in my own vehicle before my lunch break ended. They even vacuumed & washed my car! BRAVO

I brought by vehicle to Gerber for collision repair. When I first picked up my car after the repair I noticed that they dented the inside of my door (not caused by the accident). They damaged my door, so they got it fixed and ordered new parts of my door and charged my insurance company for this. I had to come back so they can fix. Later on I realized my back seat was dirty and they left small car parts. They said they would take care of it when I returned to get my door repaired. My front bumper was also unclipped due to the accident but they refused to replace and told me that my bumper was not going to fall off. What they did to fix that was kind of push up the bumper and force it in place. While this was minor and you could barely notice this, I wanted my vehicle the same way it was prior to the accident. And how do I know this won’t be an issue in the future? I then came back a week or so later to get my door repaired. The door was fixed and I spoke to the manager about all my concerns. Still they refused to replace my front bumper. They never cleaned the back of my car and just left the parts there. I left and called my insurance company and they told me the front bumper should have been replaced. I gave up at that point. I would not recommend this company!! If you decide to bring your vehicle here, I recommend taking pictures of your vehicle prior to dropping it off and make sure you check your entire vehicle after the repairs. The only positive comment I have is that the other exterior repairs were well done.

Car Insurance covered my costs, so I really cant give an opinion about that. I do, however, appreciate the work that they did on my car after my accident. It was a quality job and they really did try their best to get all the damage fixed in a timely manner, while also being very kind and patient with me. Thank you.

Was having a small issue with a wheel they had repaired. I called, and they got me in that day to look at it. Ordered the needed part and set me up to fix the issue, no questions asked. Gerber means it when they say they stand by their work.

They exceeded my expectations with the repairs to my car after an auto accident. Also, they communicated with me every step of the way, updating me as to when my car would be ready and letting me know exactly what was being done to the car. And they are an Enterprise rental car location, so getting into a rental was quick and easy. And then when my car was ready, they were expecting me, the car was detailed clean, inside and out, what a nice surprise. Thank you Gerber, you are the best!

Ive decided to change my review because the repairs have held up incredible over the year and I realize some of my review was kind of petty. Who cares if $1.00 in change disappeared really. The person in charge of doing the repairs on my car, Jason, was great. Very nice, always updating me on the status of my car. While it wasnt finished by the date promised it wasnt a huge deal, annoying yes, but Id rather the repairs be done right instead of quick. However when I did pick up my car I was waiting in the lobby for a really long time because no one was at the front desk and even after someone told me theyd get the girl she didnt show up for like 5 more minutes. I ended up being late for work because it took forever to get my key.

Ive been here multiple times unfortunately, for some reason the only 2 vehicles Ive owed everyone wants to back into. Then Ive gotten a windshield replaced here too. Decent prices and they make sure your updated every couple days through text. just make sure you give your vehicle a good look over before dropping off Ive noticed some fill in Marks after getting vehicle back.

Their work overall is great...I have taken my car there and my wife hers. But they ALWAYS leave trash in your trunk when done. (Found extra pieces in my car and she in hers (and these were over a year difference)).The quality of the work is great but they need to learn to clean up after they are done.

This is the 4th time I have done business with Gerber on Remington in the past 5 years. The quality of the work they do is excellent.We argued some about the pickup date last time, but the wait was worth it...my car was handed back to me looking like new inside and out.

My neighbor hit my car while it was parked. The other party insurance covered everything and suggested Gerber collision. Gerber did a great job on my car. They replaced the entire bumper and returned the car before estimated time. Even though bumper was the only thing replaced, they cleaned my car thoroughly both inside and outside. Overall satisfied with the job.

Repairs were fantastic. Excellent work. Its a bit disturbing that my tool bag was stolen out of the back of my SUV and I cant get a reasonable reply as to how this occurred. Caitlin was not very concerned with my situation. And, no. I was not told to remove all items from the car. Why would that even come up?further discussions with the business resolved my dilemma. they are an ethical company willing to do what is right. my thanks to management.

Ive been going out of my way for years now to take my car to Gerber for repairs. While driving home the other day, the right side of my bumper flew off its mounting brackets. I called Gerber to check on their lifetime warranty policy. They asked me to bring my car in to be looked at. I stop in and after waiting for nearly an hour, I was told its not their problem due to some superficial scratches on the bottom of the bumper caused by grazing a curb. If I was trying to pull a fast one on you guys, I would have ripped the whole thing off. Im just going to go with who the insurance company suggests from now on.

Great Warranty Support!When Gerber says Lifetime Warranty, they mean it. Gerber replaced the bumper cover on my car in 2010. The clips holding the bumper cover wore out and were causing the bumper to become a bit loose. Kyle and Ben did not hesitate a moment to take the car back for a fix, even though it was almost 8 years later.This is a Summer Only car, rarely driven, and I try to take good care of it. And, I would not hesitate a bit before taking the car back to this location.

Brought my car in on Saturday picked up Wednesday. Car looks brand New! Not only was my bumper fixed, they washed and detailed it. Vacuumed too. Thank you Andrea, Jay and Jason. Now I also HIGHLY RECCOMEND YOU!

Last year my windshield on my 2007 Dodge Ram p/u was cracked. I called Gerber and they gave me a fantastic price for the windshield. I then brought it to there store in Schaumburg and got helped out right away. It took about a couple of hours. I had fantastic service. Thanks:-)

I will start off by saying that I would only recommend this place if your car needs body work. I loved that part of it. However, anything mechanical, please stay away. I had some mechanical parts replaced. Got my car back and check engine light came on after a few days. So I took it back. I found out the error codes on my own but Gerber told me that my check engine light was on for other reasons and my insurance comany would not fix it because it wasnt related. I took it to the dealership, and found out the light was on because of some parts that were already replaced had were faulty. I called my insurance company with all the proof of what the error codes were, what Gerber told me, and what the dealership came up with. My insurance conpany told me to take it some where else. After a month of my time, I finally got my car back. I think my 2 star is on the nice side considering all the time I spent on my research, time taking ubers, and extra money spend on finding what the issue was.

My car damage started out in the most stressful possible way. First, it was hit by someone who drove away, leaving me with the deductible to pay. Second, the adjuster and 1st body shop could not come to terms and the body shop refused the work. So I decided to take the car to a shop in the insurance companies network, and decided upon this Gerber location. I was skeptical given how the problem had evolved, and how the insurance company was trying to cheap out.But from day one with this shop, it was nothing other than pleasant and professional. From check in, to getting all my questions answered, to the pics provided in e-mail so I knew what was going on in real time, etc... They made sure that all additional damage was found, and ironically, I wound up getting all OEM parts because they had determined that several things the adjuster wanted fixed were unfixable.Bottom line, they did a pretty fabulous job. Even the paint job was a perfect match, and the car is 5 years old. The car is a high end sports sedan, and its my baby. Plus I am picky as hell. But honestly, this team did an outstanding job. Highly recommended.The Insurance company ... da da da da da da da ... not recommended.

Spectacular craftsmanship, Stellar understanding of all vehicles, Highest level of professionalism by the Senior technician Mark from Elmhurst.Mobile onsite appointment (not in the shop) Mark the Senior technician from Elmhurst is the tech you want to request to come out to repair your windshield or back window. My SUV back window was shattered. tempered glass. He knew everything about the glass and all the parts connected to the vehicle, make, and model. Due to the age of my vehicle, it was a challenge to get the motor off of the wiper attached to the remaining glass. Mark the tech was able to get it off with all of his tools and his years of experience did not damage any part of my vehicle. The heat was difficult but he powered through and vacuumed the broken glass up in my car nicely. He assisted me with removing large amounts of tape I put on my vehicle securing the plastic over the window. That was a bonus.Scheduling and the communication from them was terrible. Disaster. I had no idea when the tech was actually coming but it was worth it in the end so plan accordingly. Request Mark from Elmhurst, the senior tech.Quick note: Bring a canvas to put under your car to catch the remaining glass if you have a mobile appointment. The mobile techs have limited tools.
