Wanted to buy a clearance desk chair for $277. The only one we liked.No stock in the back. I say can I buy the floor model, after all its on clearance. Nope.... They MAY have more at a few stores, 20+ miles from my home. Had to go to work so no time to drive around looking for what may be available. Guy says look online and they can be ordered. Online it was $299, so $22 more. Read so many bad reviews about screwed-up online orders, Im wary to take a chance. Years ago I tried buying a laptop from them and they were out of every model I wanted. How does this chain stay in business?
All staff on June 29th around 6:30pm were very helpful and friendly. Usually when I shop, sales associates avoid eye contact and avoid making conversation - this makes it a very awkward buying experience. But when I asked for help the young lady was helpful and pleasant, the guy at checkout was also very pleasant. Great experience at this location

Don’t try to order something online like copie,i order a 70 copies at 2:51 pm,waiting more than our and 15 min,i call customer support and it’s tell me that is be ready in 7:51 9 min before closing i call store the guy be extremely rude when i ask why is took so long,he said is have 3 customer before me,i call customer support to cancel my order beacuse I’m more than disappointed and now it’s need 3 to 7 days for my refund,so i lose more than 1 our I don’t have a print document and i need to wait 3 to 7 BUSINESS DAY for a refund,this is the worst service and store for dealing with
Arrived to simply send a package out. Was informed the employee who knew how to operate the computer would be arriving in 10 minutes so I had no problem waiting. After 10 minutes was informed that the employee was walking in now. Sat there for another 30 minutes with not a word being said to me. At this point I have now wasted 40 minutes here and left.
Syed was extremely helpful when I had draft and print a document up the other day. From start to finish, he was able to proficiently take the vision I had, and literally put in on paper. He was very patient and listened to what my document needed to look like. I would not have been able to complete my document without him. His qualifications truly exceeded my expectations. I am a perfectionist, so I will continue to use them for all of my business and printing needs.
Worst customer service ever!!! Had to call four times to finally be able to talk to someone. The staff sounds like they are tired and know nothing. The manager was rude and kept trying to talk over me and make it as if I was lying. I was looking to have some carbonless forms printed and have always sent the order via email and paid for it at pick up. He said that since March 2020 that wasnt an option, however I did place orders this way last year, most recent order Dec 2020.I have been going to this location for 4 years and have had no issues until now. What a shame. I will no longer be shopping here. Ill take my printing and office business somewhere else.P.S. I placed the order with FedEx over the phone Monday evening at 6pm and Tuesday morning at 11:26am I got a call that my forms were ready for pickup. I will printing all my forms from FedEx now.
Went to buy gel pens, theyre prices are very affordable. I also bought a new phone for the house. ( need for work) The sales associate helped me pick out the best one for my needs. It was also priced lower than Best Buy.

Its ok, but when they dont carry items that you need NOW, then I just got to Amazon & order it there! Case in point: Today I was looking for a PRIVACY SCREEN for my laptop & they DIDNT HAVE A SINGLE ONE! They told me, We can order it. I said, So can I...from Amazon!Its stuff like this thats putting the brick & morter stores out of business. They have no one to blame but themselves.
Its average and expensive!There are better places of this assortment and less expensive.
Understaffed! Ordered an image to have printed and half of it didnt print out on the page yet they still gave it to me. Terrible printing job! Never going back to this location again.
They sold a clearly pre-opened chair with missing parts on it and refused to take return because I opened it.At the end accepted return though but having to go threw that experience and wasted time

I could not get my printer/scanner to work at home and rushed to Office Depot to use the scanner there. I showed up at 8:55pm (they close at 9pm) The scanner I was using got jammed and I felt bad because I knew they were getting ready to close. An employee named Ji saw that I was struggling and approached me to help. He was very friendly and patient with me. I’ve worked retail for a few years in the past and I can always appreciate great customer service and that’s exactly what I got from Ji. Kudos to him because unfortunately it is not often we see that type of customer service nowadays, especially at closing time.
Shawn is an amazing manager fully geared towards providing stellar customer service! He went out of his way to help us find what we needed, explore options, and leave happy. He is a gem! The store was clean and well stocked, too!
I was looking for an office chair and was assisted by Mahera Balagam, a salesperson at the store. She was knowledgeable, personable, helpful and took the time to explain the differences between the various products. I did not feel she tried to steer me to the most expensive option and I felt she really wanted to understand my needs. I give Mahera a perfect score on her selling skills and ability.

Yes, that sneaking suspicion that they are talking about you on the radios to each other is 100% valid. Can confirm as former employee. Shop online at Amazon instead, better customer service too.
Disappointed in the customer service at the printing side... Ive been using this office depot location for a few years for my business printing needs and recently found that now customer service has not been helpful at all with recieving the same printing services. I have now taken my print & copying for my business elsewhere.
Now the Customer Service is much much better, they put good attention to the any detail that were looking for. Also youll find plenty of parking and easy access.
Today I used the FedEx Service Center to mail a small package. Good service, friendly desk staff.

Heater was on in the mens room in early September. Place was understaffed, I had to return in order to pick up a completed print order.
They force the cashiers to say all that up sale stuff at the register and hold them accountable for not getting enough numbers.
Last minute purchase; item seemed a bit pricey but at least they had it and also the staff was attentive so all in all Id say that in a pinch this is a good store.
I ordered school supplies online. I had return some items and I went to Schaumburg store. I was told I will get refund on my credit card which I have never received. I called the store and was told that I have call the corporate office since they have nothing to do with this. The corporate office said I have to contact the local store since I returned the item to them. 1 🌟 to this store and office depoD in general.
The management sucks here, and yes if it does feel like the employees are talking about you to each other over the radio, I promise, they are and they assume you are stealing. If you are a person of color, they get on the radio and track you through the store, this is a common practice in most their stores.
Terrible management and customer service. Never coming here again. On top of it all, they talk bad things about you on radios. Would much rather drive far to a different location.

Ordered a monitor online. Received a defective product and when I visited the store, the manager told me that since they didnt carry that monitor at that store I could not return it, despite being told that I could at by phone representative. The manager was not at all helpful.
