Drome is where the heart is. Im a drummer who like to modify my drum kits with used parts. Whenever I need to replace my drum gear and hardware parts I always check at Drome Sound before I shop anywhere else, because chances are Drome Sound will have exactly what I need when I shop there at the right time. And best of all, their customer service is excellent. I highly recommend Drome Sound!

Just bought a beautiful Telecaster from Drome and cannot be more happy with the product and the great customer service. Shane was very helpful and informative in answering any question I had. Everyone working here was very personable and friendly and eager to talk guitar shop or rock music. Guitar was set up per my preferences regarding string gauge, action and strap knobs and locks. I will totally shop here again next time I’m in the capital region. Thanks guys!!!

Very knowledgeable staff. Due to supply shortages that nearly every business is currently experiencing, I unfortunately had to deal with one of the big national chain music stores on two occasions recently . Both times made me realize how lucky I am to be able to walk into Drome Sound and speak with knowledgeable, experienced staff who are passionate about what they sell.

Sold a guitar for $25 because the clerk said it was only worth 75 on their shelf and barely even worth buying.Called today to find out they’re selling it for $130 without my gig bag I had included. Don’t trust the con artists. They’ll take advantage of you without even thinking.

Chose this store based on other reviews. We will never go elsewhere. Amazing customer service, very knowledgeable and friendly staff with a decent selection of gear. Such a better experience than at the chain stores.

Friendly local music shop with a good selection and competitive prices. Good revolving used stock across the board. Drums and DJ gear give them an edge, guitar and bass selection is decent along with PA equipment and guitar amplification. New microphone and bass amplification selections would be the areas I would like to see expanded. A lot of used bass gear does seem to pass through there though and they do have the go to mics always in stock. There is always something cool in store with prices the same or cheaper than big box and mail order.

One of my favorite stores in the area! Great knowledgeable staff, and great guitar selection. Great service, too! I live about an hour from the store and theyre the only place that carries the picks I use, so I paid over the phone and they shipped me the picks! Highly recommended

Ive been going to Drome Sound for many years, I rented my first instrument there in elementary school, bought my first guitar and amplifier there, and now am an audio engineering graduate. Their team is top notch, they have gone incredibly far to help me out anytime Ive needed assistance or a stellar deal on equipment. I recently stopped by to return a pedal I purchased and they went out of their way to set me up with another pedal at a direct swap despite being outside their return window by a whole week. I would never shop anywhere else locally unless I absolutely HAD to. I wish I could leave a review of more than 5 stars, purely because Ive never had any less than a 5 star experience at their store. I hope their doors remain open for many more years to come!

Looking to buy my first electric guitar and lessons. Walked in 4 guys in the store no help at all, didnt even look up from there computers. Headed to hilton music.

I went to Drome Sound to check out a Jackson guitar I was looking at on Jacksons web site. Drome had it in stock and was $50.00 less than Guitar Center or any on line dealer. They were very friendly and the service was great. I will buy more Jacksons there in the future. Nice to buy local and get a great price too.

I brought a BRAND NEW gibson les paul to have some PICKUPS INSTALLED and they wrecked my guitar.... there a SCRATCHES all over the front of my BRAND NEW guitar.... Now Im stuck with this BRAND NEW GUITAR with SCRATCHES on the front of my guitar.... I wish I never bought this guitar here.....

The new location for Drome Sound is spacious and utilitizes the space in a an effective manner. A small room to and try out instruments has all the different amps needed to play Basses and guitars with different special effects.I found Robert to be very knowledgeable regarding the different basses I was considering. After sampling different makes, I chose a Fender copy. Robert assured me my concerns about the frets being wider apart than my previous bass would be aleviated by simplying playing it and getting use to it. That turned out to be the case. As a lefty, I found Drome sound offered more options than Guitar center, where they had just one cheap model and I would have to order the one I prefered before I could even play it. And prices for left handed guitars and basses at Drome Sound were lower.When the zipper on my case broke, I brought it in and Robert fixed it in five minutes. I bought a used effects pedal for my bass and it has performed flawlessly at a fraction of the cost for a new one. While Guitar Center has a wider selection of keyboards, special effects and amplifiers, I found the staff at Drome Sound to be more knowledgeable while offering lower prices. However, I would recommend surveying both stores if your looking to upgrade or purchase an insturment.
