I had an issue with my 10 year old heat pump unit that another company told me was chronic to the point of needing to be replaced, and that company did their very best to sell me a new system.I called Barrett and Sons Inc for a second opinion, and I am really happy I did. Aaron of BSI came out and diagnosed the malfunction within minutes which turned out to be a minor parts issue with a connector on the Thermostat board which controlled the coil defrosting function. Instead of getting ripped off for thousands of dollars by that other company that I wont mention by name, my out of pocket cost was only a few hundred dollars. I was so impressed with Aaron and BSI that I signed up for the BSI maintenance coverage which is reasonably priced.I dont write reviews as a general rule of thumb for anyone, but this company has went above and beyond my expectations, not once but twice now. Last night as I was visiting my 81 year old fathers house, his heat pump/AC unit broke down. I called BSI after hours, left a voice mail, and Aaron (yes the same guy) called back within minutes, went to my fathers home in Cibilo within 30 minutes after that and fixed my Fathers heat pump/AC problem, again diagnosing the problem and fixing it within minutes. Aaron knows his stuff people and BSI is lucky to have him. If you have any type of issues with your heating or AC, call this company. You wont regret it.
