All the staff is awesome and knowledgeable, and theyre really chill about custom orders. Even when they had to closte the storefront for a while, theyre still super helpful and go out of their way to help.

Amazing store! I walked in there for the first time a few weeks ago and it was like I was in heaven. The employees were super (pun intended) nice and helpful. They were extremely knowledgeable about all of the comics and helped me find a series I’ve been looking for, for years (Locke & Key). The comics are very affordable and are in great condition. Basically, this store is the best place on earth.

Literally one of the nicest comic book stores Ive been to in a very long time. The staff was very friendly (and they all wore masks and gloves which was nice.) Everything was very well organized and they were very helpful when I couldnt find what I needed. Overall youll have a great time in there.

If u want to sell this your cards to this guy and if u give him a price over the phone hell get scared I was there today. Guy tells me he got to put food on the table for his kids. Bruh when I went to the store and saw the owner in person. Guy looks like hes 60+. The guy shut me down. I said I have other cards to sell he said nah its ok. Try toywiz.

Excellent experience and customer service. I brought in my comics to sell and they were completely open and honest about everything. Although we didn’t make a deal I would highly recommend to anybody else to bring their collections in. I will definitely be returning for my own personal shopping as well.

One of the best places to be for a kid I would say it is great it is clean orginized and they tell you if the books are appropiet for your age the only complant I have is that in the photos it showed yugioh but when I went there there was nothing. either way awesome place recomend it 1 million percent.

I just left the store.I had horrible experience this store. It was my first time and it will be my last time. The person who works in the store don’t allow me and my kid to read all the whole books. She said you can read couple pages but not the whole book. I never heard this rule in other comic book stores before. I try to support local store after the covid pandemic. Regarding this situation, I can just order online or go to other comic stores instead.

Friendly staff and good selection make this my go to for comics. The wall books are usually unique and diverse. There is also a fairly good selection of recent back issues. Of course if you are into funko pop toys this is the place to go. I had no idea there were so many until I visited this store. Great place to check on when visiting the nearby farmers market.

Its a beautiful little shop to find just about anything youre looking for from tabletop rpg accessories and dice, to a pretty wide selection of board games. A ton of trading card game options offered as well! Its a shame that they had to stop hosting tournaments and game nights but it doesnt take away from how awesome this place is to just walk around and enjoy. Its inviting since its very neat and clean and the staff is super helpful and polite!!! Cant recommend this place enough!

Really cool shop! It was fun to browse the selection that they have. It says in the name that its a little shop, but it was surprisingly big inside and even had a place to hang out and play games. Im going to do more research on a table top game to buy and get it from this store!

I have been to a lot of comic book shops over the years and this one is one of the best that I have been to. GREAT owners, extremely nice and knowledgeable. This is one of the most well kept stores that I have seen in a long time. Very organized, neat and clean. The staff as well are always helpful. They have a great selection of comics and they also have a great selection of gaming stuff as well. This is the ONLY comic book shop that I will go to around here! And to the reviews of those complaining, stop reading the books in the store and buy them. This place deserves more business!

The best gaming, toy, and comic book store in New Jersey. Hands down, there is 0 competition when it comes to this place. They are a well organized, clean, fully stocked table top gaming, card gaming, comic book, and toy store. Their prices are extremely fair, and beat out the majority of other places including major chain sellers. Every time I walk in there Im greeted by each employee as they are ready, and willing to help me with what Im looking for. Thats some great customer service. I highly recommend A Little Shop of Comics to anyone curious about it. The parking is right behind the building where you can walk right into the store through the back. Its convenient, and close. I have been going to this shop since I was a kid, and this is the only place I would ever want to buy my comics. Also graphic novels, but everyone knows graphic novels are just longer comics so there you go. Anyway this shop is awesome. 10/10 would buy comics again. Staff is very knowledgeable, and helpful. New location (next door to old location) is super clean, bright lights, overall just a wonderful space.

Great place to go for either the pro collector or the weekend reader. Went with my son who is just starting out and the staff treated him like a true VIP! Three employees separately went out of their way to help and Mel rang us up and sent us off like the rest of the staff looking forward to our next trip to the shop!!

Local Mom & Pop comic shop with well stock games and graphic novels. They have toys and posters for sale. They also have tournaments card games on Saturdays in a separate room. Support your local Comic store. Employees are friendly and helpful and I would have given more stars but like another reviewer mentioned the male owner could work on his social skills there were a few times I seen his dark side.

I wanted to get into Yugioh the trading card game and found this store holds tournaments every Saturday. I thought it would be a great place to see what the game was all about and to learn from the players that come there often. I waited for 2 players to complete their game and kindly asked them a question which they were excited to answer.After about a 15 minute conversation with the players, the owner comes up to me and asks me if I was in the tournament. I said, no, Im just watching. He said, If youre not in the tournament you need to leave. I was completely caught off guard. I mean what better way to get new people involved in the game then to let them watch and learn. There was plenty of space, I wasnt bothering anyone and I was truly interested in the game. The owner was an absolute a**, who completely turned me off from the game and to think I was about to spend a significant amount of money at his store.It was a terrible experience with poor customer service and I will find another more appealing location to spend my money.

Excellent comic book store with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. It is located right in downtown Scotch Plains. In the past when I have been in need of recommendations the owners one of whom is Lena has recommended a good comic which I’ve enjoyed. The owners and people who work here have a passion for comics and so it always a joy.

I love this comic shop, they have a great selection and the owners send out weekly lists letting patrons know whats new. Ive frequently found several interesting comics by new (to me) artists. They also have a nice selection of boardgames and accessories. They have lately increased the size of their graphic novel selection and have a mix of classics and new. I think I found a guy delisle book there a few years ago that made me a fan! Staff is friendly and clearly love the industry! Go there!!!

Really cool place, not many in my area, wished there was some music playing so I can relax a bit and maybe shop some more! It was quite when I went and with only 1 or 2 staff i got a weird vibe as if all eyes on me .

Great selection of new and recent comics and graphic novels. Staff is great, friendly and will help you get find what you want. And if they dont have it on hand they will get it for you. Never any mistakes on my pull list. If Im away and I want a book thats coming out, I just email them and theyll put it aside for me and let me know its there. Well stocked in collectibles, games and kids comics too. Always a good experience.

I went into the store the other day as Im trying to complete vol. 2 of the flash. I was a bit surprised by the minimal back issue. Nonetheless I was greeted by pretty much all the employees and they all assisted me as much as they possibly could. I see alot of comments about them watwatch over people but I think its just to keep order in the store. Despite the time of the day I felt the store was busy. Im sure if they didnt try to get everyone satisfied they would have trouble whether it be shoplifting or overcrowded. I enjoyed going there but didnt look at everything. The shop owner was very nice especially when it came to her carrying my comic. Its worth a trip at least on the comic book end.

This used to be a great place until they started posting most of their new comics on eBay at inflated prices without even allowing their regulars the opportunity to pick them up off the shelf the day of release. If you want good stock in both new and back issues, and nice covers, avoid this place and its rude ownership at all costs.

Great local comic book store. They have a great selection of back-catalog titles, and the displays along the wall allow you to easily see the latest and greatest. They have a pretty good rewards program and the staff is super friendly.

The woman at the front is very rude and just unfriendly to the point where i don’t want to spend any money there. You can’t walk around the store with anything(drinks,backpacks).Tournament prizes or just not worth it(undefeated and received one pack). I rather go to a store that treats people with respect and that are more welcoming. Never again stepping foot in this place!

An amazing experience, staff well trained, everything organized in a way that you can find items easily, if you dont find something just ask the staff and the magic happens, they verify the stock on the computer (rare stuff to see in the region) and in a matter of a minute they get the item for you. I recommend to everyone.

Very, very organized. This place has plenty of products, vintage comics, posters, t-shirts of the super-heroes. The place also has a large room for playing Card games - Yuhioh, Vanguard, Magic. There is no fooling around. There are strict rules to follow. Its a clean and safe place for all. There is also sufficient parking in the rear of the Shop. Enyoy.

Really nice Comic Shop that is neatly presented and easy to find stuff. Wish pricing could be a bit more competitive with the online retailers; not saying they need to give stuff away, but they could run a real sale once in a while or have a good discount policy. They have a great Funko Pop! selection and they dont mark them up higher than what they are supposed to be; they also carry a good amount of rare ones...just dont be looking for Chases here. The one thing that really bugs the hell out of me every time I shop in their store is how on top of you they are, they freak out if you touch anything and are constantly asking if they can hold your stuff at the counter. Listen Im not going to jail over stealing a Comic thats worth a few dollars.

For me, customer service is extremely important. The first time (which is going to be the last time) I went to this place, I felt that the lady was trying to push me out, because I was just looking. I didnt take long time, but they are more worried thinking if people are going to steal, than trusting somebody that may be interested in their comics. They come to you asking that they have to hold your bag until you leave; terrible!

Very neat and organized shop. Huge selection of modern age books. Not a huge selection of golden and silver age except for a few expensive key issues but everything else is top notch! The store and prices were excellent but I found the staff condescending on several occasions...I purchased roughly $500 in key books and they were still rude to me. I cant speak for ALL the staff or the owners but the staff is did meet werent very welcoming. Also,they look at u like youre attempting to steal something at all times. Not sure if thier old location got robbed or something but IF they had a more friendly staff Id easily rate then 4 and a half stars out of 5.

Ive been collecting comic books for almost thirty years. In that time, Ive been to many, many cook shops all over the country. I never expected one the finest stores I would find to be in Scotch Plains, New Jersey.Little Shop of Comics is first striking in that it does not fit the unfortunate stereotype of the dark and dingy, musty hole in the wall. It is brightly lit, well laid out and organized but still packed full of comics, graphic novels and games...with a healthy smattering of various comic related memorabilia.Instead of stinky carpets theres clean hard wood floors. Instead of rickety tables filled with aging cardboard long boxes there is row after row of well organized trades and graphic novels. Thats not to say they dont have back issues. Towards the back are nice wood fixtures full of choice recent and silver age books.The next pleasant surprise is that the store doesnt end with whats on the shelves. The very friendly and knowledgeable owners and staff will gladly hunt down or order anything that may not be in stock.And that turned me into a regular. They have a great subscription service that has yet to fail me. Even if sometimes I forget to order a book until the day it arrives...I know it will be there. They also have a great book club that gives me store credit for every graphic novel I buy.Little Shop of Comics is a well run, well stocked, clean and inviting store. With one of the best kids sections Ive ever seen. Its the type of store that the comic book industry needs more of.

One day on a Saturday i came to this store and the lady behind the counter was very nice until she told i can only hang in the game room if i pay or buy something. How can a store force someone to pay in order to be in the store. not a good store and i wouldnt recommend this store

Used to be decent. I’m kinda sorry to see such a decline in this place. Personally, I’ve had an inexperienced judge screw me on a ruling during a tournament, and the owner’s wife spoke to me as if I was slow.

I did review this originally as 5 stars. That changed, I brought my friend to see how the store looks since we are coming from a completely different state but we were met with a disgusting and rude person behide the counter. We came all this way to watch a friend compete to be told no which is perfectly fine and understandable. When we asked on why we werent allowed she gave us a snarky response saying no and we even said we would gladly pay for entry since for me and my friend it took 3 hours to get here she replied no is no that isnt my problem you guys can leave I understand OTS states that its a privilege to spectate but there wasnt a need for the attitude. We spent 3 hours just getting to the store to be told to get out and spend another 3 hours getting home. I personally will not make a trip out here anymore. All she could have said was Im sorry but we cant allow spectators here for such reason not no is no that isnt my problem you guys can leave. Very unprofessional and just straight forward disgusting. Whats even funnier is that children arent allowed in the game room so any players who are also parents just stay away there are far better options then this place.

Really bad staff and owners. As someone looking to trade and chat you know trading cards they dont allow you to even sit and watch to learn. You have to pay money just to be in the store to do anything. Ive been to numerous gamin stores and not one has asked money just to watch or trade with players. This store is worst at costumer service. Do yourself a favor and dont come. I would give 0 if I could.
