The furniture is great. The reason for only one star is I have experienced bad customer service with them. We purchased a warranty plan and have yet to get them to come fix what they said they would. I’d be happy to change my rating if the customer service gets better.

They have beautiful items here.. Some prices are a little high but if you look around you will find sales!! This is the best place to go for beds and mattresses.. I checked everywhere and they have the most affordable prices..

Great experience! Katherine Talley was one of the most pleasant sales associates Ive dealt with. The furniture selection was of nice quality, wide variety, and excellent prices! Furniture for every room in your home and plainly priced and a value you didnt feel like you needed to wait on a sale or haggle. Well worth my drive from the Huntsville area to Scottsboro, the smaller of two stores. The original, larger store, Ive yet to visit, is in Ft. Payne.

Very unfriendly staff, (if you can find someone). I have visited the store several times and its always the same. If the other locations are like the Scottsboro store, I really dont know how they stay in business! Never once was I greeted, nor offered any assistance!Therefore, I will take my business elsewhere. Jones-Light Furniture in Stevenson or the Furniture Store in Henegar!

They had a nice selection and had the furniture displayed nicely. There was only 2-3 other customers in the store, so it wasnt over run with business around 10am. My wife and I walked right past the front desk (where employees were sitting). We were never greeted by any employee nor asked if we needed any help with anything. Granted they gave us a chance to browse their inventory without being pushy or overbearing but, if you are selling a product, at least acknowledge your customers, if you want to make a sale. The lack of customer service is the ONLY reason for my 3 star rating.

While I love Akins Furniture in dogtown, the local Scottsboro store isnt helpful. Not only was I not offered assistance, but I listened to them bad mouth a customer for requesting to buy pillows off a couch that did not come standard. Acting as if it would just wreck her day to order more. Customers are what pays for you to have a job. I think you might be a little friendlier and much more helpful and maybe the parking lot would not always be empty. Sad that their service and actions do not represent the way that I know the other Akins locations run.

No-one offered any assistance to my mother in law. She had to stand for a very long while. We offered lets just leave an she was determined to get some answers. Even was ignored for sometime. It was not busy it was a cold wet Saturday an their lack of interest. Showed me why it wasnt busy an no way would I advertise or encourage anyone to shop their. Sorry that customer service apparently seemed not to be on top of their agenda.

I wanted to buy a sofa, had already found it on the website. I went to the store and was treated like gutter trash. The employees acted like theyd rather do anything than help me. I ended up going to Thomas and Sons inFt. Payne, paying in full what I wanted, and treated like they wanted my money. I may not look the part, but I work hard and have money to get what I want.
